How are we commandeering his work? All we've done is go ahead and post. At no point have we prevented Polybius from posting his own introductory post as he has already reserved a first post. Secondly, I don't see this as stealing his lore, as everyone who had posted IC was accepted to post in the setting we all had a hand in establishing. Additionally, I've RP'd with Poly several times over the years, and from what I know of him, I think he would be quite alright with us going ahead.

The only other alternative, the one that you seem to be presenting, is that we wait around indefinitely without good reason. I see no ethical reason that we should not go ahead and keep the momentum of this RP going. I'm not going to edit out my post, and I urge those of you who have made posts to leave them and continue posting.

@Polybius - A quick question for you and anyone else interested in pitching in on the topic: What is the state of human civilization? Are they still in their primitive hunter/gatherer tribes stage or are they onto the point of developing farms and walled cities?

For everyone else that's interested is there a particular group of people you think are developing or have developed in your lands? Any particular forms of culture that have developed?

It's not that I don't believe in affording Polybius due time however but I checked and unless the reference to tornadoes connects to the reason he was only online two days ago I'm unsure of what connects his post to this current dispute.

@A Lowly Wretch I understand your point but if he'd already stated that he was affected by the hurricane a week ago, he could still be dealing with the aftermath of that a week later. We don't know his current situation or where he was able to access the internet two days ago. Could it be likely that he moved to somewhere safer and is currently back home cleaning up?

I get that people are eager to play, I want to start as soon as possible too. But I don't think we should dismiss the likelihood of these real life factors being the cause of the delay. The polite thing to do in this situation is to wait it out. Give it a week at most before discussing the idea of starting another RP. A little patience never hurt anyone.

Well, just for conversation sake Iva's not creating anything remotely humanoid. Probably beings similar to Illithids or Shoggoths. If possible, probably some automatons as well, but I feel like that will come later after society and science has progressed somewhat.

To answer your first question:

EDIT: Working on a first post for Cimeru and some basic details about what era/tech level were at. (bronze weapons, low low tech)

I'd say it's most likely a mix to be honest. Just like our own world, human civilizations/societies have always developed on different scales. While some still could be hunter gatherers, others could have small villages even large towns. I don't think large city states are on the table yet. We have to take into consideration that the world is very young, and I imagine soon it will be full of things that like to eat humans. (I know I will be creating such things, cause Anu only sees humanity as play things/food).

As for your second question, Anu hasn't really created anything yet. The Realm description is simply that, a description and I purposefully left what inhabits Osarion vague to be fleshed out later. Anu will eventually create demonic kinds and other depraved creatures.

Edit: I am fine with waiting, @Kalas makes some good points. I will say however, even though Poly has not been on in 2 days, he has not posted in 4. So what exactly would be a week?

Okay, that actually sounds like something we should do. My original thought was you were going to try and get the seal from the shaman (which, if you think about it, wouldn't be the greatest idea the god of tricks would have, because he has no clue what enchantments are on it). It would be a major event that would severely affect the world's future events.
