Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

I will never show empathy for a bigot or a man who believed empathy is a made up term. Simple as that.

@Antarctic Termite That sounds like quite the treat. Can't say the same for your future audience of this story who'll get attached to said character.

Also, I've caught up to where I need to be on my current day(technically going by the 5th since I've yet to sleep yet). So, that feels good. Might try to go for 10k before sleep. Uncertain if I'll make it.
@HaleyTheRandom
I will do my best to try and do what you requested, but making no promises. That being said, go ahead and send me the necessary information. :)

@Alisdragon911
Of course you can. Go ahead and fill out my request form. :)
You knew this was coming. ;)

misc. // Zelos Wilder is a very flamboyant, eccentric character, so I'm hoping you can embody that. There's a real emphasis on pinks and reds in his outfit. So, keeping that in mind, anything else you can come up with, I'm sure is going to be a-okay with me. <3

Konohagakure | Chunin | NinTai-nin

TIME: Present Day - Morning | LOCATION: Kohonagakure - Training Field | INTERACTION: Hokage Clone, Cloudy Eyes: The Sequel @Ladyinink, Light the Way @Grey Sama Gonna Build that Wall @BladeX

It had been a few weeks since the disaster that was the Jounin Exams had occurred. It didn’t start as such, of course, but as things had progressed further, unbeknownst the Jaakuna at the time, there had been an attack on the village by some group of maniacs. Truth be told, it wasn’t until after it was all said and done did Jaakuna become informed about what had actually happened. Of course, it wasn’t until he was told about that he found out that the former Hokage had fallen in the field of battle. To what Jaakuna had been told by those who had a first-hand account of it, he had fought bravely against those that wished to harm the village. The details had missed Jaakuna by a mile, but there was one thing that had been clear and that had stuck with Jaakuna: this new enemy — whoever they were — were strong enough to take out the Hokage, so as a member of the village that he had literally protected with his life, Jaakuna made a vow to get stronger no matter what it took.

And for the past few weeks, Jaakuna had spent his time training nonstop. After the events of the Jounin Exams, he had been training out in his usual spot in the Third Training Ground, though he wasn’t out in the open. During that time, Jaakuna was doing his best to hone his skills and he had been secretly working on ways to incorporate his other chakra natures into his hiden, Honō no gutai-ka. After a several days of failing to do so, one day last week, when he had punched forward, fire came out as it usually did, however, at the end of the stream, he felt a jolt of lightning appear for one, short second at the end of the stream of fire. It was brief, sure, but there was something there. And so, for the remainder of each and every session he went for, Jaakuna would focus all of his efforts of replicating that.

It was a tough road for him with all things considering, but Jaakuna eventually found out the quickest way to get the lightning to appear. By exerting that to the point where it wouldn’t be available, he would be able to force out his lightning nature. Jaakuna would continue this process for as long as he could each and every day until the day before last, he nailed it. He was able to not only exert a continuous stream of lightning, but he was able to get a firm grasp on how to manipulate it. It wasn’t as free-flowing as his fire nature was. Lightning striked with such a precise accuracy that, unlike using fire nature, he couldn’t just eyeball it. He had to time his motions perfectly. There wouldn’t be no such thing as a “well it was close enough”. Unlike fire nature, lightning nature, despite its pseudo-chaotic nature, was a kind of chakra nature that demanded absolute accuracy. It was like wind nature in that sense. As such, when Jaakuna had failed to do what he set out to do, he would repeat, repeat, repeat until he succeeded.

For days leading up until the present day, whenever Jaakuna wasn’t doing his daily missions around the village. Or when he wasn’t on a mission, he was out in the training field doing what every good ninja did when they had a strong motivation to get stronger did: he trained until he couldn’t trian any longer. Through blood, sweat, and tears, Jaakuna’s chakra would be exerted each and every day(with one in between every three being used for rest).

This continued to the present day, which at this very moment, he was out in the training field preparing his body to try and perfect this new jutsu. He had realized since he got a handle on it that this newfound lightning emerging through his fire was tied to his hiden and at this point in time, he had an 85% accuracy of drawing out the lightning right away. Only after one or two bursts of fire did lightning overtake it. And, as Jaakuna ran forward towards a series of white targets marked with a single, circular point in the center, his body began to feel his lightning chakra gather up inside it. He jumped up and just one foot off the ground, Jaakuna flipped forward. In a simultaneous motion, lightning crackled around all four limbs and shot out a small burst of lightning chakra at four individual targets. Though, as Jaakuna would land on both of his feet, seeing smoke come from four different corners, he noticed that only three were struck. The other pillar of smoke came from a tree that was now fashioned with a thin hole thru it.

“Still no good.” Jaakuna cursed himself.

Now he had to do the work of making more of those targets. Once he did, he set them up, and prepared himself to go at it once more. However, just before he would, someone appeared before him. It was the new Hokage. He didn’t seem to be one to beat around the bush, so he just stated what he need to say and left Jaakuna to his devices. Apparently, Jaakuna was going to be apart of a four-man squad en-route to Kumo. This meant two things: number one, Jaakuna was hand-picked for a special ops mission that was certainly going to be good for his mission completion list. However, the second thing meant, obviously, he couldn’t train until he got back from said mission. REgardless, Jaakuna would made haste.

Well, as soon as he was able to, at least. He had to run by his house real quick to gather a few things and then he was heading towards the west gate to meet up with the rest of his team. Upon arrival, he was thrilled to see Kiku on his team once more. “On the same team once again, it seems.” Jaakuna let out a snicker, hearing Kiku’s words about them making haste. “Yeah, I’m good over here, so whenever y’all are ready, let’s hit the old dirt road!”

“Wait, so we’re free to wander?” Jaakuna had a rather mischievous grin on his face.

Emiri let out a small sigh. Grant looked at Jaakuna, surprised. “You’re...surprisingly peachy,” He commented.

“And why wouldn’t I be? We have what may be our only chance to explore the one place none of us have been to.” Jaakuna explained the reason behind his cheerfulness. He would then look at Grant. “You can’t earnestly say that you aren’t the least bit curious about what sort of secrets are dwelling within these walls, can you? That goes double for the rest of you.”

As if Shion was stupid enough to leave things for just anyone to see. But Jaakuna seemed determined, and so Grant would shrug. Nadeline, however, was on Jaakuna’s side, nodding. “I admit, we didn’t get a chance to truly see how the cogs turn around here,” She stated as she would stand.

“You don’t have to ask me twice. I’ve been waiting to go snooping once we stepped foot here.” Savayna bluntly stated.

“We won’t ever get a chance like this.” Wesley had stated, siding with Jaakuna as well.

Wait, did this mean what Jaakuna thought it meant? Did they actually agree with him for once? “So, I have an idea and you all are on-board? Why don’t you guys ever side with me more often.”

“Because your ideas lead us into more trouble.”

“Mhm.”

Trouble we usually have to bail you out from.

Your last idea led to Levi gaining Zodiark so…

Emiri shrugged.

That actually hurt. To think that they would say such things about him and his ideas actually wounded him. But, despite what their cheap shots, Jaakuna prepared himself to turn the other cheek and not react as he normally would because he was a mature man now. He was the Transcendent. Above all else, if he wasted time fighting with them, they would run out of time that would be better put to use exploring the secrets of Utena.

”Let us get to work then! This place isn’t going to explore itself!”

Nadeline stood up from her chair and placed a hand on her hip. “This place has a far reach, would it be better to divide and conquer? Or shall we go together?” She asked.

“I think splitting up is a superb idea.” Wesley added, echoing Nadeline’s sentiments.

“Yeah, I don’t care how we do it. But how shall we go about it?” Savayna asked.

And then suddenly, the lot directed their attention to Nadeline. “Since it was your idea, you choose for us.” Jaakuna said.

She bore a smug smile, enjoying the attention. “The most action will happen with Jaakuna leading the way, most likely,” She said. “And of course I’d like Wesley to accompany me.

There was no other way to describe that notion more accurately, and Grant let out a sigh in relief. “The coalition of reason plus Savayna will stick together, I suppose,” He said, nudging Emiri.

Emiri nodded, though she looked at Jaakuna for a moment. Words seemed to be on the tip of her tongue, a protest, perhaps? Nothing was said, however, and she threw on a smile. “If it’s the coalition of reason, then we should have Wesley with us,” She told Grant.

Savayna looked at the two and kind of shook her head. “If our history has taught us anything, it’s that the most successful voyages are ones where I’m with Jaakuna.” She shot Emiri a smug look. “And of course, every party needs a healer. Sorry to say, but I’m going with Jaakuna and Nadeline.” She stated more than requested.

“Don’t I get a say in this?” Jaakuna asked, seemingly blindsided.

“You can say yes.”

“But what if I don’t want to?”

“Tough shit.”

Jaakuna scowled, though he looked at Emiri, giving her an apologetic smile.

Meanwhile, Wesley simply shrugged, looking at Nadeline. “It seems we have a change in plans, my darling.”

Parting is such sweet sorrow my dear, but one of us needs to keep an eye of those two,” Nadeline stated, giving him a wink.

And now the coalition of reason is complete!” Grant laughed as Emiri gave him a grin.

See, now you get it,” She told him, hooking one arm with his and the other with Wesley, putting her in between the two. “Shall we?
Whilst Meli went on a verbal rampage about her, Michel was trying to find the right words to say in response to anyone but her. He knew fanning the flames would only deepen the wrath that was surely to fall upon him once the two of them went behind closed doors. Though, a curious thought came to him: will she be angrier than she was about him abandoning her for all that time he went to every corner of Ivalice? Or will her...rocky history with the Poisonous Rose be even worse than that?

I don’t think you really want an answer to that, Michel. Shemhazai was right. As much as he wished to know, some things were best left unsaid.

But there was still the fact that Michel — regardless how Meli felt about her — needed Ivy for this mission. There was no one currently available for missions that was more fitting than her.

“Utena’s Poisonous Rose…” Wesley mused, mumbling something to himself.

“You say something?” Jaakuna asked Wesley.

“I think I know this Poisonous Rose. Though, I’m not absolutely certain.”

“Well, what makes you think you might know this person?” Savayna asked.

Wesley thought about it for a moment. “I remember going over some documents my father had left unattended to because of his untimely, sudden murder. There were some papers that detailed some dealings between my father and Utena.” Wesley’s eyes went to Shion. “In it, my father had a signed contract with Utena to where, in exchange for access to Utena’s information network, my father would feed them information about any rogue Utena flowers operating in Dalmasca’s sand. The one that my father had primarily exchanged letters with was someone called ‘The Poisonous Rose’.”

“Oh.”

“Oh.”

Michel couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. “Not surprising, I suppose. She’s always been one to--”

And as if he would go to speak, out of a puff of pink smoke, a woman with white hair appeared on one knee, head bowed, and most importantly, her silver hair covering all traces of her face. “I’ve come as soon as I could. Is there something you require, my mistress?” She spoke, keeping her position as she was.

@Tybalt Capulet I think that's a common occurance for people doing Nano. Unless you plan months in advance, you have no way of knowing how the MC or any of the other characters are gonna end up until you actually write them out chapter-by-chapter.

That's how it was for me last year when I completed my first Nano novel. I mean, I've been doing this for 4 years now, but last year was when I finally reached the 50k goal. I am aiming to do that again this year.

@Tybalt Capulet Hopefully it doesn't change mid-story. =-= Though, I'm reeeeally liking how my first chapter came together. The MC is a strong, smart heroine. She has her politician father's ability to charm and her mother's grace. Truly a force to be reckoned with. I feel sorry for whoever becomes her enemy.
I'm getting a late start as yesterday(well technically today) I was feeling out of it, but I'm going to try and get back on track by day 3 - four at the latest. I've got a clear vision of what I want to do in the first act, so it's all a matter of getting it into writing.
