Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

"If you have one, I would like a Turtwig, If you have one still."

"Why of course we still have one young man!" Professor Lukoo beamed. "And a Turtwig is a great choice indeed."

Turning away from Dan, the professor caught sight of Indigo closing his eyes and choosing a Pokemon at random. It puzzled him to see such an indifferent trainer. 'Does he even want to be a Pokemon Trainer?' He wondered to himself.

"Hey prof, I'll take Torchic for my starter," Indigo yawned.

"Ah!" He tried to sound as enthused as he was at Dan's choice. "Torchic is a great Pokemon as well! I'm sure you two will get along great!" This was anything but true. Torchic were known for being a bit of a handful, but maybe that's exactly what this young man needed to get his butt into gear.

"Now watch this." the Professor grinned. He walked over to the computer and long pressed the picture of Turtwig until a prompt popped up on screen, which read, 'Transfer Turtwig to this location?' The professor hit yes and was then prompted for a retina scan and a finger print. After which, the computer came to life, fan motors cooling it down as it worked it's magic. "Right now, a Turtwig is being transferred from my Northern outpost. Turtwig can be found in the wild up there, so it's better to breed them there as well." A soft *ding* signaled the arrival of the Pokemon. The professor reached into a compartment and pulled out a Pokeball.

With his free hand, he repeated the process for Torchic. This time, the machine didn't run for more than a few seconds. "Wild Torchic can actually be found south from here, in West Septoh. So we breed them here in the lab. I just didn't feel like walking to the breeding wing." He chuckled.

The professor then long pressed on both Pokeballs' action buttons. In about thirty seconds, they turned blue. "When the lights turn blue, you will have officially 'released' a Pokemon back into the wild." Then he gave them both a toss. A blue light released the Pokemon onto the lab floor.

Turtwig was shy and ran right to the professor and hid behind his leg. "Don't be shy Turtwig." He then looked to the boys in front of him, particularly Dan. "He's not normally like this."

Torchic, on the other hand, stood her ground. She was more confused than anything else, slowly taking in her surroundings.

The professor then handed both Dan and Indigo their first Pokeball, but when he spoke, he addressed the Pokemon. He made it a point to use simple hand gestures as well. "These are your new trainers. It's been great raising you two, but it's time you saw the world. These young men will take great care of you. I'm sure of it." The then turned his attention back to Dan and Indigo. "Alright you two, say hello to your new Pokemon. When you think they look comfortable, go ahead and try tossing your Pokeball. Technically, they are 'wild' Pokemon right now. So this will technically be your first catch."

To all those that have already created a character sheet: @King Cosmos@neogreggory@Chev,
And to all those that haven't, but HAVE shown interest: @DocTachyon@Tenma Tendo@GarlandDaHero@Sketcher,
And to all those that may be reading this for the first time,

I would like to put an official window up for when this RP will start. I have a lot going on in life at the moment, and I am so close to finishing my first full length novel. SO, I'm thinking that I'm going to give this RP two months breathing room, for accepting new characters.

In this time, I will check on this RP regularly for the expressed purpose of approving new characters. Even if you already have a main character, you may still apply for side characters, but only submit one for approval at a time. If you have not yet submited a main character, you have two months to do so.

At the end of these two months, I SHOULD be finished with my novel (at least as far as a first self edited draft is concerned). At that point, this RP will close to new users. Only those that have got a main character submitted will be allowed to help me fill the rest of the roster with side characters.

Thank you all! Sorry I can't be more hands on for a while, but I hope everyone is still excited for this grand tournament adventure!

Hey everyone,

I have some semi-bad news. I need to take about a month off from this RP. I'm so close to finishing my first full length novel, and there are other things going on in my life as well that need attention.

I know, "We've already been going slow for over a month now." Well, I apologize for that; it's my responsibility as GM to nudge the RP along when it gets bogged down, and I have failed there. But now, we are taking an "official" break.

I hope that everyone has become invested enough in this story that, when the time comes, we can pick up where we left off without much trouble.

With much love, I say THANK YOU!

Actually, I'm sorry, but my schedule looks like it's too packed to take up this RP without lagging you guys down tremendously. Feel free to find a replacement, but if you guys are still looking after 2 weeks, I'd be more than happy to rejoin.

I'd rather not look for a replacement. Instead, plan on joining in when your schedule clears up. More of the towns/cities on the map will have names and descriptions by then as well. Which means you'll have more places and Pokemon to choose from when creating your character who is a local of the region.

On that note, I've ALMOST finished placing Pokemon on the map. I always forget how long this takes. Also, I had a soccer game last night.
Take your time! Also if you have any feedback or specific critique for my posts I am open to that as well. C: let me know if they are ever too short or something! I try to react to everything that's going on but sometimes when there's not a whole lot it's hard to make a post longer.

Your posts are actually about where I like them. I'm not a fan of longer, extraneously detailed posts.
@King Cosmos,
As long as your Pokemon's base stats are below 3000, this character sheet is also approved. You can place this hider underneath your main character's, in the same post.

As for the pace and my intent for this RP, I think I'm going to run with less people and find a quicker way to get through Phase 1 of the tournament. I'm going to work it all out tomorrow. Time for bed. :)
@TheForgottenArc & @prettydrops,
I'll respond to your posts IC tomorrow.

@Matador,
I will also finish placing Pokemon on the map tomorrow so that I can give you a short list of Pokemon in your character's area.

I work a double today. I'm walking in now actually, but tomorrow is a day off.
Okay, I got my Professor post out of the way. Now it's time to place some Pokemon! (One of my favorite parts of a Pokemon RP.)
The footsteps were indeed the professor's. He was carrying a medium sized carboard box, and by the look on his face, it's contents must have been heavy.

"Oh, Hello there!" he said as he set the box on a nearby table with a breath of relief. "I heard you two were coming today. Daniel and Indigo, was it? ... Very nice to meet you. I was just fixing my Pokemon diagnostic chamber. A frightened Rhyperior accidentally ran into it; nobody was hurt thankfully ... Anyways, let's get started." (The ellipsis signaled places where your characters might have responded.)

"We'll begin by selecting your starter Pokemon. As you may know, the Septoh region is a large, diverse region. As such, nearly every single known Pokemon can be found here, as well as a few Unown." The professor paused briefly to let his pun settle, then continued "If you'll turn on the computer to your right, you'll find a directory of all available starter Pokemon. While in other regions, you are only given three to choose from, here we have twenty one. In other words, we have every starter Pokemon from every other region. Take your time; read through their Pokedex entries, and let me know when you're ready."
