Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Bio

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

@Hillan@ProPro As far as future character intro opportunities go, I might suggest opening up new slots if any players vanish from the game at a later date. I'd assume G-5 is having new members introduced semi-regularly, after all, or at least having Marines transferred between Patrol Units. That said, Yuudaina is in the Characters tab.
@BangoSkank ...maybe for a little while. Alternatively, the Ogres could already have spread Westward a fair ways, which would mean I need to claim more land than I'm perhaps comfortable with claiming, since it makes no sense to assume they've all abandoned the Mountains entirely. Choices, choices...
Marxello Catchanale

...ah. That was a bit of a change in tune. He wanted to believe that the farmer... "farmer" was just making a joke, but the merchant's fear was naught but genuine, and likewise with that knife. Luckily, one did not become a Knight of the Order through possession of poor reflexes, and this farmer had telegraphed his intentions quite a bit. Quite foolishly, at that. Mark had plenty of time to draw his blade and invoke the Undine within it, sending forth a spear of water directed to smack the knife out of the farmer's hand, and then a swirling tendril of the stuff to wrap around the farmer's wrists and ankles, binding him and dragging him into the air, helpless.

'YEAH, so what was that about not relying on OTHER PEOPLE?' Mark asked, a lot of anger and probably a bit more force than needed in his voice, but also a fair heap of irony that he'd probably explain to his companions later. 'I suppose that explains where everybody's been going... you like to eat? Because you'll get plenty of food in prison, after you tell us where the others are.' And that train of thought came about under the assumption that this guy might not be unique. He might have family. A cannibal family. Ugh. The prospect horrified him, and that alone had him bluffing that he knew about "the others" already, no matter how real they were. He ought to just kill the man, but the justice system in nearby Ambran would be more than sufficient to get him executed or imprisoned for life for the scope of his crimes. Assuming Mark maintained a reasonable standing with the local Order-

Oh, crap, right. Monsters. And whilst the farmer's opinion wasn't noteworthy, the merchant probably hated monsters and all who associated with them. He'd have to make something up regarding them... step one: distance himself, since he had no hope of dissassociating from them entirely at this stage.

'You two, well done. For your hard work, you'll get extra rations tonight,' he stated toward Syszi and Tue almost monotonally, as if talking to two subordinates, or at least something along those lines. 'But we're not done yet. Once this one talks-' He jerked his head at the cannibal. '-scour the mountains for any allies of his, subdue them, and bring them back here.' The merchant and the cannibal might get curious about what he was trying to do, but he could easily explain away his interactions with any monsters. More importantly, he hoped Syszi and Tue weren't dense enough to misunderstand his intent once again... knowing Syszi, there was a good chance she'd misunderstand anyway, and react accordingly. Alas, it was worth a shot.
@Wraithblade6 Yeah, you did make your point quite firmly. No offense taken, though. Anyway, I'll post soon, and then hope Lucius doesn't get killed. I should get him some armour soon, somehow.
@POOHEAD189 Or, say, out hunting for trolls...
With his expression hidden behind his mask, Nuva simply nodded at the man's impressive skillset. Becoming a monster hunter wasn't strictly so difficult, after all. Anybody with sufficient confidence and combat training could do it. Trackers were a tad harder to come by, at least in a city. And since the girl Lis hadn't shown her face around yet, well... he might even be able to claim the entire bounty for himself, if he was lucky. As for distance, a mere eight miles could be traversed in a couple of hours or even less, if one made a good pace. With any luck, he'd have the troll's head and be back in the city before dinnertime.

'Barring any unforeseen circumstances, such as additional trolls, we do have a deal: twenty gold for the troll's head. We can discuss extras afterwards if necessary.' He held out his hand, gloved of course, to shake on the transaction. Very business-like, of course. Not that unforeseen circumstances would come about, but just in case, Nuva wanted to make it clear that he expected to be doing this specific job, and not substantially more than he'd been told he would be doing.

'Where should I meet you once I return?' he asked, wanting to make sure he knew where to go for payment. Once that location had been described to him, he said his farewells to the man, then promptly set off out the gate and northward, the location and goal clear in his mind. He had a cave to find, and a troll to slay.

Sett's fall to the ground was not quite as soft as he'd have liked. For a time, he found himself sorely winded, barely able to breath for the catching of his diaphragm. And he'd knocked his head quite hard too, at that. That was going to be a bruise tomorrow, he was sure, and he'd have to have been extraordinarily lucky in order to not suffer worse damage than that. And he had already had his stroke of good luck for the day... unless he'd not used up all of it. The wellspring he'd opened might not have closed at that time; in fact, it made little sense for it to have closed between his skewering the Rog's neck, and taking a tumble off its back. And worst case scenario, he supposed he could get another member of the party to heal him. Or even himself! Was he not a priest? Did he not have... well, he didn't, because that wasn't what priests did, but regardless, he hoped Fineki was still smiling upon him.

Either way, the Monk had made an appearance, and offered a helping hand to get the priest back on his feet, and an escape route for everybody here, as it seemed these Rogs would overrun them if they failed to escape. What was the monk's name? Belend or something, he wasn't sure he'd asked. Even so, he took the hand, saying 'Yes, thank you, thank you kindly, much appreciated, it's not every day a priest has to get into a fight like this,' and generally making himself seem a tad more of a fool than he really was for the moment. So on the one hand, he was finally about to get away from what he'd assumed would be his inevitable death.

...and on the other hand, his innate urge to steal hadn't been fulfilled in a while. And there was a perfectly good set of headgear lying unused by anybody at the moment... instinct kicked in, and as he walked in roughly the direction indicated, he subtly glanced around to make sure nobody of note was paying attention, least of all that Skally who had taken a serious disliking to him. When he was sure they weren't looking, he quickly (though casually, as if readjusting a shoe rather than looting a corpse) knelt down next to the dead Rog leader and, in order, stuffed the helmet, the chainmail under the helmet, and the leather cap beneath that into his Elven silk bag, before standing back up and continuing to jog away as if nothing had happened, all in the span of a second and a half or so. Such were the benefits of deft hands and keen eyes. He could pretend he was going to bless the items or something later if they were discovered, "symbolic of purging the filth of those Rogs and their bloodthirsty ways out of our souls, that we might all remain pure and sinless in their wake". Yes, that'd be reasonable. Maybe claim they were battlefield relics or something.

@Klomster I think there might be to some extent, but manatee has a tendency to take ages to post, and knowing that I can put any interrupted plans back on track as soon as possible is helpful. Or, more accurately, "I am inherently impatient, and want to make amends for being a jackass ASAP".
Does anybody mind if I take the next post? Apparently, I've been interrupting plans with what I've been doing, and I would rather like to rectify that as soon as possible.
