"Course' yeh' heard me right! Ahm' offerin' teh' meal for yeh' and Amaryllis ere' and even those others! Ya' all are welcome teh' join in fer a meal, my treat! So don't worry, eh? Its a reward fer' helpin' kill this nasty bugger and is' lot!" Sophia responded, turning her head a little to get an eye on Hilaria, giving a proud smile back to the girl as she spoke in a jovial and friendly tone. Though as Mariette turned her offer down, Sophia quickly looked over with an initial slight shock...before her features softened some after hearing the Horror girl's words, "Eh?! Well...eh, truth enough ah' suppose. But make sure yeh' stay safe out err', an' if ya need ah' meal-"

And the Horror girl and person with her were gone. Drat. Not like the pirate felt she could retort to Mariette's words anyhow, what with the reasons she seemed to state. But what was this 'Ascendancy' and all? Some new group that popped in while they were gone for Dutchman knows how long? So much was going on and it was dizzying enough as the small party of magical girls approached them.

Taking note of Amaryllis' words, however, Sophia let her body and stance relax at least...to avoid showing any sort of hostility. Truth was in those words of hers, at least so the pirate felt. Better to not try to make enemies at least, though being accustomed to near-death and a hell of an adjustment to everything was not exactly a disarming situation. At least she wouldn't act unless she was threatened, which seemed to be the bloody case, though all it elicited from Sophia was a long and exasperated sigh.

"Whadda' ya' Cardinal want with tha' knight-lookin' lass?" Sophia asked, using her boarding axe to lightly scratch her head in a rather genuine but mild confusion, looking at the Ascendancy girls directly, "And why yeh' so intent ahn' purifyin' an' all? An' why is livin' round' this world fer' so long like the armored lass is ah' strange thin'? Mah patron's ah' bloody ghost ship, forced teh' sail fer all eternity.

Hell, this is all confusin' enough as it is..."

This was all so very strange. But she'd follow Amaryllis' lead for now, at least, as she had said she'd do. Though if these girls tried to hijack someone here against their will, well she'd just fought alongside Hilaria and felt more trust in this new dark magical girl than in this new zealot-like group. Really, though, Amaryllis was the person she most trusted out of all of these in general. Not like the pirate even now had a big circle of friends anywho...

@Xaltwind Indeed, but it does come first as well. XD

Anywho~

Sure! Feel free to add me to the waitlist.
@Xaltwind Well, alas it seems I wasn't able to get something in within the time limit. Dangit, work! (TwT)
@Xaltwind Gotcha!

Eh, I suppose the idea was making a child who is mature and not mature for their age, and has a unique sort of nature or class/ability from that. Like an accursed bloodline of some sort, though their bloodline just being cursed in general could maybe facilitate that perhaps, that gives them boons with a lot of downsides but also at least 'some' unique talent or another. The unique boons come with distinct banes, in other words. Not that i perhaps worded it so well above. Apologies for that and other, ah, toe stepping on i might have done there. ^^;

Of course not making them reliant on the isekai'd guy is fine, i was just thinking of a way to spice up getting them to meet the person in the first place. So no worries there, my friend! XD

And as ever, thank you for answering my questions! These have been very helpful indeed! :)
@Xaltwind Thank you for your answers! May i ask another, if that is ok? :D

Could a child be born from two mixed bloodlines? Or in other words, this idea kinda:

"Say her great-great grandfather on her father's side was a half-demon. Then her great-great grandmother on her mother's side was half-angel due to some divine boon to ancient ancestors. The bloodlines were notably watered down, until her respective sets of grandparents jumped ship from their families and hid their true bloodlines from their own children due to issues, old family extremism, or others reason that they wanted to leave and hide away for.

Eventually the child's parents meet, and not knowing their ancestry marry and have a child. This child would be the OC.

The opposing ancestry inherited from her parents causes those genes/latent traits to awaken each other, and her mother's pregnancy is filled with illness, weakness, suffering, and eventually barely surviving giving birth to the OC herself.

The OC, on the other hand, always cries as a child due to her body trying to adapt and survive with these greatly awakening magical aspects in her blood. Even once she becomes adjusted in regards to her body, she suffers a constant pain all the time due to her genetics. In return, however, she get a rather high magical potential and perhaps a rare or unique magical class to fit her natural abilities.

Of course this child is not trained, but will be more sober for her age despite possessing some naturally childlike traits.

Her parents were then eventually killed in a plague, leaving her to survive and wander the streets as a sort-of urchin. Her passive abilities, though untrained and whatever they are, allowed her to 'hear' the voices of her respective demonic and angelic ancestors...guiding her, giving her info, teaching her to survive and such.

Then when the Isekai Guy appears, they guide her to 'seek the man from another world', and though she knows not why she leaves (even after becoming a famous and respected local 'street oracle' or something back home in the following years after her parents' deaths. Though she is just a kid, not a super trained mage...but with actual training she'd definitely maximize her potential."

Asking about this, to help cement for sure if I'm joining or not. Cause i would need a compatible idea, tbh, haha!

@Xaltwind Hey there! Saw this Int. Check and decided to drop by and ask some questions as least! If you don't mind, of course. :D

1. Is there an age preference on characters? For example: Should all characters be 16-20 year old at minimum, or would an 8-10 year old with a special class or useful ability like clairvoyance be usable as the token/adorable "daughter" character?

2. While things like devils/demons and angels aren't playable, what about humans or proper playable humanoids descended from such bloodlines? They wouldn't likely be like a half angel or half demon, unless you noted such being feasible, though the idea is that people bred with other beings to acquire special abilities or traits in their particular Human (Mixed-Blood) bloodline.

3. Stat-wise, can characters be somewhat or highly specialized? Not as a power gaming move, since they aren't from the game. I mean more something like a character who is very weak in most areas, but has inherited powerful wisdom or high INT due to a special trait or highly focused/strange upbringing sorta deal.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to hear back from you soon! And whether I join or not, I hope this fun-sounding concept goes far as an RP! :)
Location:
Unknown Space - Outer Cluster Space

Aboard the Military Shuttle "Excelus", which is passing into the planetary atmosphere

To explore beyond the borders of known space, to go beyond where the people of the Dominion had ever gone before...to go into deep space on a great flagship and scout out for other sentient life in the unknown areas of the Cluster. A long-term deployment, but a profitable one to boot...and it had gone well for a time. But now...

"CAPTAIN, THE MAIN THRUSTERS HAVE GONE OUT!"

...now there was this crap.

The main engine was finally after that impact they had on arrival, they were running on auxiliary power, and now had been pulled down from orbit of an unknown planet. The damaged ship was being pulled down through the atmosphere like a hurtling meteorite. The main thrusters were also damanged...and now 'gone'...to boot. It was being one hell of a solo mission, that much was for sure.

"Just pilot the damn shuttle, Private, and look for a location for an emergency landing!" the shuttle force's Valkyrian commander shouted aloud, barking orders at the pilot as she stood in the doorway between the pilot's cabin and rest of the manned shuttle, before turning to look back at the other crew members and troops on-board, "Barton! Make sure the Auxiliary Umbhite Engine is secure, and focus the current power flow to landing and guidance systems before reporting to the central cabin! Seres! Secure all remaining crew and personnel in the central cabin and prepare everyone for an emergency planetary landing!"

Their superiors had been pointing the new deep-space-scanners into an unknown sector, in an attempt to find more sentient life, when the faint residual of a familiar form of communications had been picked up. It wasn't Dominion, that much was for sure, but if they hadn't been pointing the device at the right place in the right time they might have never picked up on anything at all. But once the missioon had been given the crew of the large shuttle had been jettisoned to the calculated location via gate....or as close as possible. Which had been nicely 'close enough' within some reason this time. A very lucky thing. Yet from here they followed their next orders, and ventured farther into the gate-less system to see what they could find.

Or so had been their goal.

"Captain, I see a wide and clear area, with signs of vegetation and-...wait, is that a field of crops?!"

"By the Queens-...never mind! Just land us in it as best as you can if that's all we've got! That's an order!"

Then all of this had happened right after arriving. The dangers of slingshotted gate travel...no matter how calculated, they had been tossed into some form of space debris on arrival and been forced to move along on backup power and a partially-working main engine for several days to get here. Then they'd taken up orbit in the atmosphere of a seemingly habitable planet, hoping to scan it for resources to rig some repairs for their ship, before the remaining parts of the main engine fully and suddenly failed...and the systems keeping them in orbit failed in turn.

But despite the pilot's attempts to slow the shuttle's bullet-like trajectory towards the ground, even Commander Eir herself had to admit that the scene before them was strange. Field of crops, signs of civilization, and yet there had only been one sentient life sign they could detect right before the engine failure and their sudden descent. Though with little time to think about what was going on, the survival of herself and her crew was Eir's top priority. They could apologize to any, ah, 'locals' later.

To those on the ground or observing otherwise, the shuttle was like a falling star shooting towards the ground. Its heat shield kept it from burning up on entry, at the very least, though the ship was visibly trying to pull up and attempt an emergency landing. After what felt like tense moments, however-

*BOOM*

A thunderous crash roared out through the planet's air as the shuttle hit a hard landing, barely at enough of an angle to hit the ground and begin skidding somewhat. Its underside thrusters were destroyed, the bottom of the hull was shredded, and by the time the shuttle came to a stop its right wing had been entirely torn off as it had finally flipped over a few times. Yet the landscape was not much better. Large amounts of dirt and crops had been rent asunder, dust and light debris floating back down like a cloud, as if some celestial projectile had just obliterated them. At the end of the visible streak of farming carnage, however, sat the heavily damaged, slightly smoking due to the heat dissipating across its remaining frame, and most surprisingly "upright-sitting" shuttle.

"...D-Damage report...anyone...alive?"

Eir shakily returned her Umbhite knife to its sheath, the glow that had been covering her enhanced body since right before impact fading away gently. She'd been tossed around like a rag doll...but she knew she'd be fine with her Umbhite abilities. More importantly, however, was the status of the rest of her crew. Struggling and propping herself up in a sitting position, leaning against the twisted wreckage of the doorframe she had once been standing in, the Valkyrian looked to where the human pilot of her shuttle had been sitting. She could see his body still strapped into the chair, helmet even still on, and yet he didn't even so much as move. From the looks of it, his neck had snapped...much like the headrest of his seat visibly had been...though the obvious large shards of glass and metal sticking through his chest and out the back of the pilot's seat would have ensured his death anyways.

Cursing under her breath, Eir then looked the other direction...only to find that the central cabin was at least 'intact' at the very least. It had been built for such an impact, to hide crew and personnel in for an emergency crash landing, though the obvious denting and damage to it from her side was not the best sign. At least the emergency internal doors had shut to keep the crew inside safe. Though while still grunting at the soreness and pain that still wracked her body, Eir pushed herself to barely stand up and walk over to the closed door. She slammed her clenched fist against the dense metal, before shouting-

"Is anyone alive in there?!"

Silence.

"Seres, Barton, report!"

More silence. Eir gritted her teeth.

"...Damn it all-!"

Then a cough, or two. Other small, shuffling sounds could then be faintly heard through the metal door. Eir paused.

"Commander...i-is that you?" the voice of an Antean female called out.

"Seres, you're alive! What's the conditions over there? What about the others?" Eir called out in return in her own shouting voice, anxious thoughts about the rest of the crew racing in her head.

...Silence again.

"Not all of us made it, Commander. Barton is dead, he...he and most of the engineering crew with him never came to the cabin here."

Eir felt her heart drop into her stomach. Barton, the rare male Valkyrian adopted by humans that he was, had been a damned good soldier. He'd been a friend for many, even, after some time serving together, though his behavior could get on nerves. But hell...he'd even head out to drink with the others if they needed an ear to listen. But of course that idiot, that selfish piece of shit, would let himself die just for them to get that extra degree of safety in landing!

"Myself, as well as Privates Cleopatra, Holt, and Denmar, are alive though. I am unsure where the rest were...or...'are', Commander."

Eir let out a long, drawn out sigh...before looking up at the door again. At least they had one left who knew his way around the engine room.

"Acknowledged, Sergeant. I will need help getting this door open, but...even our pilot's dead, so we need to begin salvage and escape protocol to establish our location and the nature of this planet. It seems there are natives, but life signs read only one on this entire planet before impact.

Something strange is going on here, so be ready for anything."

A sigh of resignation could be heard from the other side of the door, before the queen Antean on the other side spoke once more.

"As you wish, Commander."

What. WHAT?!

Sophia frowned as she watched the mafioso casually hand her a house cat and jot off. It was...IT WAS RUDE AS ALL HELL! Where did this guy get off treatin' people like that? She she'd been suspicious initially, but hell she hadn't even met him before! Wasn't it right to feel a tad caution? She just wanted to be there for her friend anywho! She...she wanted to know how to be a good friend at that. This world, this life, everything was still so new to her!

The pirate quickly spun around, albeit keeping the house cat carefully cradled in her arms, before shouting back at Nuncio before he rode out of earshot from them.

"SORRY IF AH' CAME OFF RUDE ERE', BUT AH' WAS KINDA' JUST BORN YESTERDAY YA ASS! THIS IS ALL NEW TA' MEH'! AN' DON'T BE LATE FER DINNER, CAUSE YER INVITED!"

Though as the beast rider jotted off, Sophia took in a deep breath and let it out again. She had managed to control her words well enough, not that the frustration and anger hadn't come out some. She wouldn't, couldn't even, totally lose control over the mafioso' offensive behavior or other silly things. It was infuriating to be abruptly dismissed and cast aside, as a cat holder of all things! Not even a shake of the hand, a verbal response, or anything to be polite! Just being dismissive as all hell! She wasn't going to take it out on the poor creature in her arms though. Rather, she without thinking as she adjusted to keep it comfortably crooked in her free arm. Maybe this feline would be better than its master had just been right now.

"Sorry, little one. People ah' hard teh' deal with ahz' it is...but hang in ere', ah'll keep ya safe till' we see yah' master again."

After whispering softly to the cat Sophia then turned about, facing forwards towards the oncoming tide of Ascendancy girls rushing towards them through the snow. She could already hear creaking from her patron in the back of her head, shouting something to the effect of warnings and 'danger' and the ilk. Heh...nothing new to her so far, right? She'd first woken in a busted up warzone of a graveyard next to a terrified maid-looking girl that feared for her life, had someone trying too outright murder her without a word, got kidnapped for a seemingly long time period by a bloody dolphin due to magic hijinks, and had just helped fight down a lich with someone she most closely could call a friend. It had been a hell of a roller-coaster-life so far.

"...Sorry fer' mah' outburst and behavior ere', Amaryllis. Ah've never had ah' friend before, an'...hell ah' just wanna' aht' least try ta' be ah' good one as best ah' can..." Sophia said to Amarayllis with a small, tired sigh, her eyes looking over to her before looking forward once more as she spoke some more, "Well, lass, ahm' stickin' with ya' through whatever ya an' that blade decide tah' do bout' this lot an' such. Heh. Then ah'll take up that offer tah' speak to yer' blade! Sure mah'self ahn' it got ah' nice appetite fer' sure, hahaha!"

An excited and wicked grin came to the pirate girl's face, before a hearty laugh emerged from her mouth. They seemed to have quite the problem coming right towards them after all of this, and she'd just noted she'd follow along with the goo lass' lead on this one. Without thinking, Sophia's hand with her Boarding Axe in it also came off of her shoulder, now hanging down by her side and very much ready for use. Her muscles also seemed to tense up in anticipation, and her stomach rumbled aloud as a feeling of dark and vile hunger ran down the pirate's spine. Yes. Whatever the situation, she'd pull through again and again alongside her crewmates. This world wouldn't see her dead on its doorstep, especially anytime soon!
