Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

Here are my character sheets:

Coincidentally, DeMarcus' power seems a lot like a weaker version of Ashton's. (Superman's character) Might I suggest potentially increasing the strength and/or decreasing the drawback relative to the power used, and possibly altering the drawback from the power? I don't really have an opinion either way on two similar powersets, but I wanted to bring it up in case you hadn't noticed or in case it winds up being a problem for AcerRo.

@AcerRo changed the power, cost and appearance

I feel personally attacked, heh. It's as if you specifically made him to be a foil to Violet.

Can't wait to see what happens.

INDEX III MIGHT BE ANNOUNCED THIS MARCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
@Xandrya@HecateProxy@Polaris North@DarkwolfX37@Superman

Howdy folks, I'm about to submit my CS's for my two siblings, but there is a question I have that @AcerRo and myself thought I should extend to the whole group. To provide basis, my two characters are a brother and his younger, adopted sister. The brother is African-American, while the sister is white.

With my characters being set in Harlan, a rural town that probably adheres to many prejudices, there would be some negative prejudices thrown towards an African-American person. As stated in the OOC, our GM would like to strive for a realistic, dark setting. So here is the actual question:

Is anyone, currently in this group, offended by or high against the use of the "Nigger"?

Of course, it would only be used when a legitimate reason is present, and it will not be thrown around willy-nilly. If anyone has a specific problem with that word being used for the purposes of realism in this game, I would really appreciate if you let me know, as I know it can be too much for some people. If you do have an issue, please tell me and I will refrain from using it, but I would like to get everyone's input on this.

While it's one of the two or so words I don't like ever being used, in reality it is and the realism factor is worth it. So no worries here, either~

The idea and the world. I'm referring to the show, the manga, the plot, etc. I just didn't like it.

Yeah but WHAT PART. Because you don't know the actual plot, and that's probably why you don't like the manga.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

The problem is that I just genuinely dislike the concept in the way it's presented. We can argue all day whether or not the show itself is good, but I don't like the world.

Which concept and why?
And I'm not talking about the show. The show isn't very good. The manga is. There's a huge difference between the two. Plus, the anime is going the route that FMA did and SAO should've and going to be totally different from the manga.

>SAO
Someone's salt flinging.

Either way, I didn't spend a day on it. I gave it enough chances, and if it can't grab my attention after several days of trying, it's not a good piece of media.

No like seriously, I didn't mean that as an insult to it. You can skip him meeting every girl other than Asuna, half the "major events" before they get married, and everything between the end of the romance arc and the fight with what'shisface and still understand the entire plot.
Similarly true to DBZ. You can cut so fucking much out of it and it would still be the same, and that's not even counting the anime fuckery where five minutes takes 10 episodes.

Go read it now. Like, start to finish. It'll take a couple hours at best. Don't skip around, just read it. If you skipped around MR you'd not have your attention grabbed either but I bet you'd argue that it's good media.
In fact, I'll bet you $20 that if you get to them entering the basement without skipping anything, you'll be totally caught up in it.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

I skipped around after I got bored. Then I got bored of that and read the plot. Then I had a bit of an urge to know what was after that, but not all that much.

That's the problem. It's not the kind of story you can skip around in like SAO or DBZ. Everything in it is important to the experience. You could read the whole thing in a day. The only problem is, like Tokyo Ghoul, the art is sometimes hard to tell what's going on since it's so fucking dark.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Looked at it. Interesting concept, but poor execution.

You didn't get very far then.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Maybe if AoT weren't trash.

You really need to read manga instead of watching anime.

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Oh? What part of tokyo ghoul are you on? Re?

I've been on Re forever dude.
