That's a supplementary point, not the main one. He had huge influence on GT and it's not canon. It also had Gohan able to go SSJ "because he stopped training" which was one of the biggest plotholes that made GT non-canon. Remember that this is the guy who forgot SSJ2 existed so he made SSJ3 and had to have an editor remind him that there was already a SSJ2. He forgot Gohan couldn't go SSJ in GT and Super is just doing it to create artificial tension because GT did it and there was a period of time where it was canon. They already got rid of it again by re-making him Ultimate after 10 seconds of training with Piccolo since it was a bullshit excuse to make him go SSJ again in the first place. Hell they probably wouldn't have even made him able to go SSJ again if the movies didn't do it to emulate GT.

It's literally a retcon plothole. Just like it was in GT. They wanted Gohan to go SSJ but it was established that he couldn't, so they decided to ignore the plothole in GT and staple on a dumb excuse in Super to retcon it. Further, it's debatable if Super is even canon at all, since it's not directly from Akira and doesn't follow the original manga. (Since there isn't one for Super at all, the Super manga is by someone else and comes out after the anime but is much better regardless.)

Gohan lost the ability to go SSJ because his Ultimate form had the entirety of his power regardless of form. It's not like Gohan's the only one who could do that.

That's exactly why. That theory has enough evidence that we can safely say it's true. And since SSJ and SSJ2 were originally, in U7, gained through bodily instinct and not conscious thought, it would be entirely possible to stack on UI.

It may be, but Whis also hinted that there could be a point where they can access all of their ssj power in base (although I'd rather that not happen). Though it still doesn't make much sense to me why UI seemed to offer a power boost when the description is just regarding evasion and other forms of movement.
Also notice that it's "Ultra Instinct Omen," showing that as an omen, it may only be a small window into what it will be in the future.

Nah, they're just things you gather through logins and completing stages for the first time, as well as some missions. Spend 5 for a single character summon or 50 for a summon of a set of 10 characters, unless the banner has discounted multi summons, in which case they can be anywhere from 25-40 per 10. Dragon Balls are actually gathered from quest stages and used to make wishes from a redetermined set of wishes.

That does make sense, now that i think about it. The first appearance of the form didn't give much content for the super attack animation either. It all makes sense. I think that it is possible to stack super saiyan forms on it, because nothing so far has said that couldn't be done.

It's not really too late. There's just a lot of game there to do that you won't be able to do out of the gate, and you'd have to know which events you could/could not do. And patience. You need loads and loads of patience. The next best time to start will be right around whenever the Global version gets the Gogeta/Janemba dual dokkan fest.

Haha, since never, unfortunately. I keep up heavily with the show and that was one factoid that hinted that Kakarot would be perfecting the form somewhat soon, and that they'll release the Awakening with it. I would consider trying to get into it, but I feel that it's too late.

It's not a good game, and you're gonna have to wait for the end of the tourney proper to see any real improvement with UI. It's nature makes it nearly impossible to improve with, so he's gonna need training with Whis which obviously can't happen until the battle royal ends.
Also it's not a good game.
