I feel sorry for you if you let AI generate ANY of your prose. Real hack work. That goes for images too.

Walked along the sand dunes of the Sahara desert for 40 days and 40 nights with nothing but a pack of Newports and a fifth of Henny. I really do this shit

These cops are interrogating me about an ounce of weed as if I didn't kill an Applebee's hostess two miles away
Accepted. Just add another sentence or two to her appearance when you get the chance, okay?
Tyler McCain
I don't quite know if I can accept this yet. The concept is great, but the whole things a little short considering his power level. Also, I'm noting a distinct lack of weaknesses. Just add one or two of those and just add a little more to history/personality and you'll be all set. Also, your images are broken. Gimme a link?
Dan Smith
Can you expand more on his powers? What's the extent of his lightning control? Does he spontaneously generate lightning? Call it down from the clouds? How powerful is it? How severe is his weakness to water?
Caeser Paladin
Cool, I like Dragons. That said, it's short for its power level. But, regardless, I think it's a tad over the power level I was shooting for. However, if you remade him as a villain, the power level is probably appropriate. Also you just need one more sentence or two on the appearance.
Goth Sulkman
Accepted. And do you know why you're accepted?
Simon Strange
You know, I do like the occasional Candy Hero. But, what are the extent of his powers? How strong are they? What purpose would candy mimicry accomplish? When did he get so good with Martial Arts(I'd be down if you told me a specific discipline, as I could assume he got lessons or whatever) and tech? What does 'good at science' mean? Engineering? Biochem? Medicine?
Would it be rude if I were to use the art but credit/link them anyways? D: I'm assuming said artist used a translator to tell me they don't speak english..
Id say go ahead and use it. I doubt anyone would care that you used one peice of art on one little roleplay on one site, without even claiming it was your own.
Yes, but, I've been a tad preoccupied with studying and haven't found the time to go through CS's. I'll be able to go through them either when I have a study(which I may/mau not today...) or as soon as I return home from school.
Welcome to Archer City, housed right in the lovely state of New York. Newly minted, and bigger than The Big Apple. What could go wrong, right? Anyway. Things have been pretty swell here-- when the super villains stay away, anyway. But we got a whole host of superheroes at our backs to keep 'em off. Heck, it's practically an american pastime to watch the Heroes do what's right. What could go wrong?
Hello, everyone! This is Spectacular! A more lighthearted sort of superhero RP.
City Districts
(more may/may not be added!) Entertainment District: Located in the heart of Archer City, the Entertainment District is where the party's at! This is where a whole bunch of Movie Theaters, regular Theaters, and some radio stations are. Arguably the most well known area of Archer City, if a supervillain wants to make a bang, he'll make his introduction here.
Waterfront District: The waterfront district really has two parts- The Docks, and The Beach. The Beach is home to firework shows and lots of fun under the sun. Days where people aren't on the beach are very rare, the weather's usually fantastic. The Docks are a bit of a different story. Lots of shipping crates and old, abandoned warehouses(which, in itself, is amazing that they're already abandoned. I mean, the city's only a few years old.). More than once, villains have picked various warehouses as their base of operations.
The Wrecks: A few blocks of destroyed buildings from when a gigantic monster attacked a few months ago, no biggie, though. No casualties. Anyway, this place is mostly home to skaters and graffiti artists now. They're all usually pretty chill people.
Downtown: While it's not actually 'downtown' in terms of directions, Downtown is where the Police station is. Additionally, you'll find Archer City Prison- it's been specially upgraded to house all the baddies the heroes round up.
Uptown: In Uptown, you'll find a lot of high rise buildings- not quite as many as the entertainment district has, though. Buildings in this area tend to be more office buildings than not. But, this district is where Crystal Tower is located, home to the legendary superteam, the Infinite Knights! You'll also find a few old factories in this district.
The Burbs: Good old suburbia! Located all around the outside of the city.
The Kenny District: The Kenny district is, by all accounts, a strange place. It is occupied by only one man. Kenny. When the city was being built he declared the district his own, and it's been that way ever since. This is because Kenny can clone himself. Thousands of Kennys inhabit the Kenny District. That said, they're all pretty nice guys. Some might presume that Kenny is a super villain, but this would be false, as he really hasn't done anything evil. Except, he only asks that once a month, every month, a shipment of bagels is delivered to the Kenny district. No one knows if they eat them, or do something else with them...
Notable Groups and People
(more may/may not be added!)
The Infinite Knights: The Infinite Knights are the world's top superteam! However, after stopping the gigantic monster attack a few months ago, most of them are away on a space mission. Only a few token members are currently on earth.
The Police: The Police are all pretty swell. They tend to be very helpful towards heroes, and sometimes even provide them with equipment.
The High Roller Gang: A gang of the rich and powerful. Most of their crimes are business related things, but sometimes they’ll fund a heist and superheroes can intervene.
The 7th Street Gods: A typical street gang.
The Mobius Club: A group of supervillains form The Mobius Club, headed by an enigmatic Mr.Mobius.
The Heroes: A much smaller, very new hero group. They haven’t got many members.
Rules
1. The better your CS, the more powerful I’ll let your character be. That said, there’s no hard cap on character power, but try to keep it towards Spiderman level and you should be fine.
2. GM’s word is law.
3. No godmodding, powerplaying, using other people's characters, etc.
4. Shooting for a softer PG-13/PG here. For reference, think if it would be acceptable in the current running Spiderman cartoon, or the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. That said, swearing is allowed, just try not to go overboard.
5. I expect posts to be at least a parapgraph.
6. If you’re reading, put the word ‘Spectacular’ at the bottom of your character sheet.
7. Obviously, no Mary/Gary sues.
8. Try to keep activity. Posting once a week should be fine. If you’re going to be absent for longer than that, I will assume responsibility for your character. Alternatively, you can tell me if you’d like another RPer to temporarily take the character’s reins.
9. No DC or Marvel characters. Please and thank you.
8.Put your character in the OOC tab. Once it’s approved, it may be moved to the Characters tab.
9.Yes, yes you can be a villain. I won’t be accepting too many, though.

One movie against several? I don't see how that makes dark dominant?
Also, Winter Soldier and Iron Man 3 were pretty dark. Both the Hulk movies were dark. A whole lot of comics right now are super dark. Thor the Dark World was reasonably dark. I haven't seen it, but I understand the new FF was overly dark. Also, the X-Men movies have been pretty dark and political.
@DocTachyon Are you going to make the OOC thread soon?
It will be up either tonight or sometime Monday afternoon.
Well, we certainly have enough people to start. I'll try to get an OOC up by Monday at the latest. I would like to get it up earlier, but, alas, I have to study for my midterm exams.
Are you sure you want Golden Age? Silver Age is where EVERYBODY was lighthearted. Golden Age didn't have the "No killing" rule, so lots of superheroes were a little bloodthirsty.
Silver Age was where Batman wore a rainbow suit to help defeat a colour-based villain and it introduced us to his Bat-Shark Repellent, the Justice League had a baseball match against the Legion of Doom, we got a continuity of Spider-Man where a Spider was bitten by a Radioactive Human to become Man-Spider. We got a Haunted Tank as a superhero, a load of really racist comics. Comics became relevant, as far as product placement went, so we had Lex Luthor stealing 40 Hostess fruit-cakes. The Tandy-Computer Whizz-kids, the greatest fruit based superhero ever and all other crazy fun things.
I did mean silver-age. That said, I don't think we'd reach that level of ridiculousness, but the tone'd be much closer to there than all the grimdarks running around.
Hello, everyone. This is just a real simple RP idea that I'm wondering if anyone's interested in.
So, a lot of the superhero stuff I see around is super grimdark. I mean, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Winter Soldier, every Batman run in the last 10 years(at the least), it's kind of... Well, suffocating. Bar the Spiderman cartoon on Disney XD, there's not a lot of lighthearted superhero stuff running around. So, that's what this RP would be. Basically instead of being all grimdark it'd be a lot closer to Silver Age comics. Again, think Ultimate or Spectacular Spiderman cartoons as opposed to, say, Hush.
I WILL TAKE OVER YIN'S PLACE. THIS HAS TO RISE UP FROM THE ASHES... oh wait, Mad Max fangirl comin' through. I'd be humbled to play Kou, DocTachyon, I'll do what I imagined they wanted to do for her justice. Please, please, do not give up. You have an amazing thing going on here. I literally beg of you.
Well, I haven't got any problems with it. Unless Yin suddenly is resurrected, I suppose you can play Kou.
