Caesar's Type-White ability manifests in the form of a spatial warping power. It's hard to describe how his power actually functions because it ignores most laws of physics entirely - they're actually holes in reality itself. At will, Caesar can make space-warping holes appear in his environment (mainly on all inorganic objects). These holes are merely ordinary holes in the shape of a circle which gives the idea that a cleanly cut hole has been made into the object and will always lead to the other end of the object. This ability affects a wide range instantly (about eleven meters) and if he remains in one area while the effect persists it'll stretch out to about fifty-five meters. He can focus the effect on one area or object by touching it and channeling his power. These holes are seemingly harmless as, when Caesar drops the effect, they return to normal. Theses holes start out the size of a penny but they'll grow to be six feet in diameter - about wide enough for a person to fit through. If he touches the environment and channels his power he can instantly create a singular hole wide and deep enough for him to fit through. Caesar can bifurcate something if they're through the hole and he closes it.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Caesar's power can't affect organic matter, so that means people and trees and stuff are out of the question. While he can instantly create holes in the environment, they start out the size of a penny and he needs about thirty seconds to make them wide enough for him to fit through. Other than by touch, there's a distinct lack of control behind this ability. It'll instantly create holes in eleven meters that'll grow wide enough for him to fit through quickly. Unless he touches it of course and he can instantly create a hole wide enough for him to fit through.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Caesar has to be careful if he's hurt or weakened in any way the holes will become unstable and close. And, unfortunately, friendly fire wasn't turned on so he or a friend can lose a limb. In addition, it'll create holes in all objects in the area if he activates his area of effect ability - and he can inconvenience a friend this way.
Bumfuck Nowhere, Nevada is gettin' a little red (and I'm not talking about Meifeng's underwear!)
"I'm out."
"Oh shit, it worked?" Meifeng peeked over the rock and saw that the psycho-bitch had fucked off with her bodyguards. "It worked!"
"... Well, that's a first." Cindy said as she peeked over the rock.
"What?"
"You managed to reason with somebody," Cindy said as she put her gun back in her waistband as she got up to her feet. This was fuckin' ugly - well, at the very least they didn't get shot or have to use any of their resources. However they lost the house and, well, Cindy was willing to take those losses - looks like they're sleeping on...
"Fuck!" Cindy shouted as she turned the horizon and saw the mist coming.
Fast.
"We gotta get inside!" Cindy shouted as she ran towards the house - damn that ho with the goons. However, she looked behind her to see Meifeng kneeling over the chick that just got shot. "C'mon, Feng!"
"We can't leave her!" Meifeng said as she grabbed the girl from under the shoulders. "She'll be another thing for the monsters to claw at that aren't us!"
Cindy stood quietly for a moment.
"... You're right!" Cindy said before she ran up and grabbed the girl by the legs and they power lifted the chick and ran into the house fast as possible. They put the girl down and Cindy ran to close the door... other people came in - and she wondered how many jackasses are out here in one house in Nevada. Then the fog hit... and all they could hear outside were shrieks of the beasts and their screeching as they were on the house.
There was a bang on the wall that kept going until it was all the way to the roof... and Cindy let out a sigh as she faced Meifeng. She pulled out a towel from her assault pack and she really didn't want to contaminate it but she had no choice. She pressed against the bullet wound on Lena and kept the pressure on it the whole time.
Now, before she went to work patching this girl up, Cindy had to do something first. She gave the girl a light pat on the cheek as she said,
"Hey, hey," She started off very quiet as she was trying not to alert the monsters outside, "Can you hear me? Hey."
If In-Ah or whatever her name didn't rush in - and they could had come up with a plan - there wouldn't be a fireball leading straight to Nakala. She saw the white fireball in the corner of her eye and her heart raced as she desperately tried to dodge but the fireball spread in the oxygen-rich environment. She loudly shrieked as she was burned but fortunately... she was still alive. Conscious too. However, every inch of her skin burned as her hair was on fire. She, out of reflex, rolled around on the ground until all the fire on her was out. She groaned as she coughed over and over again, lying on the ground.
Then this dumbass started talking.
And talking.
And talking.
And kept fucking talking.
Nakala's fingers curled into a fist as all was going through her mind was Esme's untimely death. Which was going to be at her hands because if she was going to go down; she was going to pull this feminine jackass down to hell with her. She pushed herself up to her knees and looked at Esme... before she lunged at him with her hands outstretched to wrap her hands around his fucking neck.
She could still hear the Boyz shooting outside.
The Boyz erupted into fucking flames.
Jack had no clue what happened there! He was just hovering above them with his jet boots on and covered his face when the explosion went down... and he could only grin at the carnage! This was Jack's kinda party - better than getting bitched at by Nakala and the rest of the Gal Pals. However, the fireball didn't kill all of them. Which was perfect... as the Boyz were scrambling to get the hell out of there. While shooting as they left.
Jack aimed his laser rifle at one of them and fired a laser beam directly through his eye. He screamed as he fell to his knees, clutching his eye.
"Sorry for the impromptu laser eye surgery!" Jack shouted his one-liner, "But this place is under the protection of Jack Fucking Stauber! Make sure you tell Joyboy and his Dragons that!"
The group followed the route made by Kimberly. Eventually, as they moved through the tunnels they saw an orange light... and they kept getting closer and closer until they were there. The massive room in which the Glutton was sealed behind. Just like in John Reid's recollection, the glutton was a massive ball of orange light sealed behind a massive glowing barrier made out of light. However, the barrier was cracked... and the Glutton's black tendrils can be seen wiggling out of it. However, they had the power of Ascension, which meant they could repair the barrier and seal the Glutton back.
However, when they entered the room; they heard a clapping above them. It was the Speaker, standing on a tendril and being lowered down, "I'm amazed," The Speaker said, "You all made it. The Hound couldn't keep me occupied for long... I was hoping you all would listen... just this once."
"Fuck off, we've come to stop you and the Glutton."
"Glutton... I hate that name, so insulting to my master," The Speaker said as they put their fingertips together, "A more accurate name would be... God."
Justin raised an eyebrow as the Soul-Self attacked... only for the barrier of embers and orange light to appear and block it.
"Ages ago, far before there was even creation; there was a being, God, who had the gift of no other. The gift of life. All existence was inside of her and together we danced, peacefully. No sin, no misery, no suffering, only true peace. However, other beings out there were jealous of God... so they ripped the gift of life out of her womb and created perversions of her creations. Molding all intelligent life after them and harvesting the gift of emotion from them. However, now they are hiding behind their perversions seeing that God wants back what is hers. Ah, I remember when my eyes were opened..."
The Speaker laughed as their hand was covered with a ball of orange light and embers as they forced the group into another illusion mimicking the recollections they've been seeing for ages. The scene burned away into embers... as another scene faded in. There was sand on the floor and there was an alley formed out of one building constructed out of a sand-colored stone. Soon enough a child came running with something in their hand as men with spears came running by.
"My world... its name isn't important, was simply a hive of sin and tyranny. It was so long ago... that I don't even remember my name."
If the group looked closely; that running child looked exactly like the Speaker. They tripped over a rock and what fell out of their hand was simply an apple, but the men caught up and beat the mere child with the other end of their spears and stomped on the child. Eventually, one came up with a dog and let the thing loose. The brutish creature ran up and mauled the young Speaker's arm as the men laughed.
"That'll teach you to steal from us, slave!"
Eventually, they grabbed the dog by the collar and gave the young speaker one last kick to the ribs. As the Speaker spit out blood, they tried to climb to their feet. They grabbed their arm as they walked down the alleyway back into the bustling street. All they could see were whores, thieves, tyrants... and they were a mere slave. Eventually, the Speaker made it back to a building and stepped inside the door - it formed a classical church.
"In my world, there was a powerful theocracy that was originally a benevolent one, but as time went on they let sin taint their souls and they let themselves become... perverted. Eventually, they did whatever they felt like and simply justified it with their religion. After all, they worshipped a deity of whoring and degeneracy."
Eventually, the Speaker dragged their feet to the middle of the aisle and dropped to their knees; they put their hands together and closed their eyes.
"Every day, I prayed for change. I prayed for a day I wouldn't be abused and raped by those tyrants... then she came."
The scene changed as the young Speaker walked through the streets that were lined with hundreds of dead. The streets were flowing with blood as the sky was red... and there was an orange ball of light in the middle of it that seemed to mask a blackness within it. The Speaker found it strangely enticing, they walked down the streets until they found themselves outside of the town. They stood on a cliff and stared at the Glutton...
The Speaker narrated.
"When I made it there, I screamed..."
"Why are you doing this to us!?"
The tendrils of the Glutton slowly descended from the sky and wrapped itself around the young Speaker. They were lifted into the air until they were engulfed into the being. "When I entered the light... my eyes were opened like never before. I realized this being was slaughtering us because of our sinful ways, that with every death we were being redeemed. That this being... was the God I so passionately prayed to for justice every night. Since then, I dedicated my life to serving her, and converting others to her ways..."
The illusion faded and they were back in the mountain...
"Since you all are so keen on this broken path... well..." The Speaker said as they stuck their hand out, "You will be redeemed..."
Out of their hand came a barrage of orange tentacles that forced the group to scatter. Taking cover behind the rocks, but Justin had a plan.
"I'll keep him busy! Fix the barrier!" Justin shouted.
"Let's go!" yelled Penny as she led the charge towards the barrier. Thanks to Justin running interference she made to the barrier unscathed, her hands glowing white with Godforce as she directed her will towards one of the seals. The power of Ascension took over from there, filling the cracks with light and mending the only thing keeping the Glutton locked away. She glared at the incomprehensible mass of orange light and black tendrils as it thrashed around inside of its prison. It wasn't a God. It wasn't even a monster. It was just a rabid animal, desperate to break free and rampage. A black tendril whipped through one of the cracks and stabbed out at Penny, she reflexively held her hand up. A Godforce-infused glyph appeared at her fingertips and repulsed a spear of white light into the tendril, pinning it against the barrier.
Rita stepped in beside Penny and nodded at her. The quiet girl didn't have a doubt in her mind what she needed to do as she lifted her hands and began channeling white light into the seal. With Rita taking over for her Penny was now freed up to assist the others. She moved with fluidity around the barrier as her eyes pathed the movement of the Glutton's tendrils, bolts of pure Godforce blasting out from glyphs to either knock away or pin down the tendrils. She saw Hagan. Claire. Zoey. She wouldn't let the Glutton lay one inch of its oily tendrils on any of her friends. Penny was a hurricane of white light and magical glyphs. With Justin taking on the Speaker and her locking down the Glutton's only defenses, the others were free to mend the barrier.
Tuyen found herself reaching another seal, taking a deep breath as her shadow erupted into life behind her and she lifted her hands to the seal. They glowed with a bright white light that aided in the reparation Rita was already doing, dancing from her fingers and giving strength to the failing barrier. She let her mind lose all its doubt, forced away from the negative thoughts that had been there, and let it all flow through into the barrier. Her shadow completely covered her, easily destroying any tendrils that came towards Tuyen.
Rien joined Tuyen in channeling energy into one of the seals, Caelea close behind. Even as she found her spot to help fix the barrier she kept an eye out for any stray tendrils that Penny missed, glyphs and wind flickering around her.
Justin floated in midair to the same level as the Speaker, as his Soul-Self floated behind him, however, the being stuck out their hand and a mass of tendrils came from the ground and trapped Justin in a cage.
"This won't hold me!" Justin shouted as he stuck both of his hands and fire came out.
However, the ground started shaking as a huge chunk of rock floated out of the ground, surrounded by orange light and embers. It flew directly at Penny as the Speaker stared on blankly. "When will you learn." Afterward, the Speaker followed with a barrage of tendrils coming out of their palm. Penny repulsed the giant rock out of harm's way like it was nothing, but it left her without time to dodge the tendrils. She held out her hand to attempt to blow them back, but instead, the tendrils just stopped a few feet in front of her hand. Her enhanced abstraction began to pull the Speaker towards her—an attraction instead of a repulsion. Penny smirked as she telekinetically attempted to drag the Speaker within her five-foot range, an array of white glyphs materializing around her body.
Penny got what she wanted when the Speaker faded away in a mass of orange sparks and embers and reappeared next to better. They made a knife-hand and swiped directly at Penny.
"Watch out!" Caelea shot out from her spot, easily propelling herself with a blast of air and another blast of Godforce to block the knife hand (even as she realized Penny could probably handle it herself). The Speaker smirked as he was stopped. Another tendril came out of their body and looped around Penny and went straight for Caelea. While another tendril split off of that one and tried to flank for Tuyen.
Caelea cursed under her breath as she had to suddenly change the direction she was traveling in, shifting the air around her to flip up and over the tendril that was aiming straight for her. As she did she pushed out her hands to shoot a bolt of Godforce at it to pin it to the ground below her. With Caelea away from the blast zone, Penny was free to activate her glyphs. The ground around her rippled as the mountain floor jabbed up like a thousand swords in an attempt to eviscerate the nearby Speaker before they could teleport away. And each spear and spike impaled the Speaker and cut clean holes through their body... which strangely fell apart as if it was made out of stone. Each part that fell off didn't reveal any flesh in the slightest. Instead, all that could be seen as the glowing embers. The Speaker's upper head was completely gone; replaced with a spike, and they still grinned.
Tuyen's shadow slipped around her to block the tendril aiming for her, form large and nightmarish as it grabbed it and slammed it against the barrier - but not before it pierced through the shadow's hand. The sudden, stabbing pain in Tuyen's hand was enough to jerk her out of her concentration at healing the seal even as the wound near-instantly healed. Her shadow tightened its grip and grew even more in size, trying to cover as much as Tuyen as possible, as she tried to regain her concentration.
Meanwhile, fire surrounded Justin until he was a ball of flames which pushed against the cage more and more - until it broke open. Massive flaming wings appeared on Justin's back as feathers made out of fire came down. Out of the cracks of the barrier, there was a tendril that sprouted many other tendrils out of it. From there other tendrils slipped through the cracks. However, Justin smiled. Behind him... every animal that Justin could think of, made out of flames, appeared. There were hundreds of them... and they all flew directly at the tendrils and slashed at them as the tendrils strike back. Slicing each other to pieces while Justin tried to make time for Penny and the others.
As the battle raged there was crashing against the barrier, the barrier that was getting more and more cracked as it went on. The Glutton was doing everything in its power to break free from its constraints. It probably was above concepts like pain - but it let out a hellish screeching sound with every crash. As the cracks grew wider the black tendrils of the Glutton were forced through the barrier... it let out a hellish screech as it tried to break the barrier apart. Undoing everything the group has been doing.
"You think I'm a mere human?" The Speaker asked as they half-grinned. "I am the embodiment of God's power, in all of its forms."
The Speaker disappeared and reappeared in the center of the room completely in one piece.
"Die, all of you."
Suddenly the Speaker exploded into an absolute hellish mass of glowing orange tendrils that ended with bladed tips as they attacked the heretics from all angles. Kimberly let out a squeak as she shot a blast of Godforce at the ground and created a wall of stone to block the tendrils - but one got through, stopped only by a blast of ice from Rita. Justin's animals were killed as he was dodging the tendrils left and right. Before he retaliated; he shot both hands out and fired an enormous inferno of flames that burned some of the tendrils. Penny repulsed tendril through tendril, creating some orange glowing form of a hellish rat king as she ducked and weaved around the rogue tendrils that slipped around her.
However, the Speaker was engulfed in flames... they teleported out and Justin fired another absolute hellfire blast of fire that sent the Speaker flying directly into the wall.
The Speaker was losing the battle; however, the Glutton wasn't going to stop and let itself get sealed. Oh no. The Glutton began violently pounding against the barrier, forcing itself through the cracks. It let itself make noise as it was burned by the Godforce, its body got smaller but more and more cracks began to form on the surface of the barrier. The Glutton had stuck tendrils through every available surface, trying to break the barrier apart. The orange light shined brightly through the cracks as the barrier was breaking down piece by piece.
The Speaker stopped as they turned around and let out a laugh. They grabbed onto their face as they laughed maniacally, showing the most emotion yet. "It's finally here!" The Speaker shouted as they stuck both their hands out and basked in the Glutton's light. "I've waited so long to see this, but God is free!"
Eventually, the barrier was falling apart like glass and then...
"No..." Justin said.
... The barrier broke completely. The ball of orange light that was the Glutton quickly ascended into the sky - eating the mountain as it rose. At this point, the mountain was collapsing in on itself. The cavern in which they found their way into the inner sanctum was collapsed. There was no easy way out.
"Kimberly," The girl heard the Child's voice, "You can save all of us."
"Huh-how!?" Kimberly shouted.
"The abstraction you never utilized until now..." An orb of white light appeared in front of her face and when it faded it showed a photograph of the forest outside of Farmer Hill. "Grab it and focus. Envision yourself and everyone there... your power has been increased to God-like levels."
"Ooookay...." Kimberly said as she bent down and focused on the photograph. It was good of an idea as any, mostly because they had none. She sighed... everyone there was being engulfed in purple light. They faded away much like they did when the child teleported them.
And then there were gone.
Eventually, the group was teleported to the forest... where the orange ball of light that was the Glutton was in the middle of the night sky. However... it was making a strange sound as its body violently vibrated as if it couldn't hold a stable form. It changed shape every second, as orange pus drained the light from its body. Around the Glutton were white motes of light scattered all over the night sky like will-o-the-wisps.
The Speaker stood under it, on the remains on the mountain, with a horrified look on their face,
"Master, that was foolish..." The Speaker said as they shook their head
Appearing out of a beam of light from the sky, the Child appeared in front of the group.
"The Glutton! It's weakened!" The Child said as they stuck their hand into the air. It gathered all the motes of white light towards the group. "We have only one chance! Everyone, put your hands together and we can end this for good!"
Justin was the first to join hands with somebody in the support group - Kimberly. When they touched they glow with a white aura as they power they felt went in between them. Justin smiled as he extended a hand to Penny. She grabbed it and linked hands with Rita, who offered hers out to Tuyen. Tuyen blinked before taking Rita's hand with a slight smile, offering hers to Caelea who took it quickly.
[After the group finishes touching dicks]
A massive beam of white light erupted from the group and quickly clashed with the Glutton.
"M-Master!" The Speaker said as they covered their face with their sleeve.
It wasn't long until the Glutton was being overwhelmed by the pure Godforce in its weakened state. It let out a hellish sound that faded with time... as it was erased from existence. The night sky went back to normal as the beam faded. The group had accomplished their goal at last - they eliminated the Glutton.
"We... did it!" Kimberly said as she jumped up and down like a child.
"Hell yeah!" Justin shouted as he high-fived Kimberly.
Rita squealed and threw her arms around Tuyen, who grinned and wrapped her arms around her friend in a tight hug in response.
"We fucking did it," said Penny, clapping Justin on the shoulder. "I think I'll skip the next campout, though."
"I don't think any of us will be camping again any time soon," Caelea snorted, rubbing her head.
The group was teleported to a different place in an instant by the Child... a white expanse that was seemingly made out of white smoke, far as the eye can see. And in front of them was the Child... who smiled.
"You've done it," The Child said, "You've saved us all from the Glutton. That abomination seemed... unstoppable, but you did it."
Justin smiled, "The impossible is possible, you should know that."
"I can't even begin to thank you..." The Child said, "We freed everyone who was being tortured by that thing."
"You said you might be able to resurrect the people killed by that thing?" Justin asked.
The Child nodded their head.
"I... cannot bring back everyone, however," The Child said, "The people who died in the conflict were so numerous that it's just too many..."
"... And The Child cannot revive those who have not been killed by the Glutton as it was their time to go," The Hound bellowed as he walked up. "Which means... certain members of your group are gone for good."
"I see," Justin said.
"Son of a bitch," muttered Penny under her breath.
"Nevertheless, I think they have some words for you." Suddenly behind the Child, the spirits of all the people who died in the conflict appeared behind them. From Claire to Lynette, to Aliana, to Dexter... all of them.
"This is the least I can do," The Child said, "Everyone who dies may have the choice to go back or pass onto the Godforce to continue the cycle - for now; say your farewells."
The Child nodded their head.
"Take as long as you need to."
"Hehe, you did it," Claire said to Caelea, bumping an elbow her way. "I was watching ya' the whole time, I gotta say; I'm impressed pretty squirt. I didn't think you had all that in ya'... I'm gonna miss ya'."
"What you talking bout, I was always gonna succeed. I'm tough, y' know," Caelea smirked in response, even as she rubbed an eye which had some dust in it or something but not tears. "I'm gonna miss you too... things just aren't gonna be the same around here, are they? Damn, it's gonna be so boring." Her voice wavered slightly even as she gave a fierce grin. She'd never expected to see Claire again - so now was the time to be fucking sad about that.
"I mean you're short, but big things come in small packages, sis," Claire said as her ghost put its hands on its pockets and floated off. "Things aren't going to be the same... but they aren't supposed to be." She shrugged.
"What are you talking about?" Zoey said as her apparition reappeared. "Aren't you coming back...?"
"Well, surprise," Claire said, "The Child said there wasn't enough room for both of us... so I agreed."
She shrugged as she sighed... a tear ran down her cheek.
"... You'll find new people," Claire started, "Both of you. Just... move on and forget about me."
Claire said as she disappeared.
"Take care now."
"Hey, Penny..." Lynette said, and as the girl turned towards her - she was wearing the last outfit she had on before she died. A heavy parka, jeans, snow boots, doesn't matter. Lynette smiled at her as she said, "Thank you... I mean, I know, I know. I... wish I could cry right now; I'm so happy you did it."
"You should have been here for this. It wouldn't have been possible without you," said Penny, her voice a wisp of its former self. "You had my back every step of the way. I was so consumed by the Glutton, I didn't see the threats closer to...Lynette, I'm so sorry. I'm so..." her voice broke and she hung her head.
"It's okay," Lynette said with a warming smile as her hand grabbed onto Penny's shoulder. "You have nothing to be sorry for."
"... It's me that has to be sorry, Penny," Sharon's spirit said, grabbing her arm by the elbow with her other one, not making eye contact with her. "I... made everything about me as Amethyst did. I didn't think about Lynette. I didn't think about her family. I didn't think about you. I just...."
Penny peered up without lifting her head, her eyes burning through the locks of hair that had fallen in front of her face. She felt something tug inside of her, a string trying to pull a cord on her back that'd feed the girl the acceptance she wanted. It would be the right thing to do. The living can repent for their mistakes, but the dead can only hope for forgiveness. All she had to say was it's okay and be done with it. A simple act of kindness. There was no need for pettiness now. Just say it's okay, even if it was a lie. Penny opened her mouth but no sound came out. Inside, she felt a swell of acid burn through the string. Traitors were disgusting. They deserved no sympathy. Penny lifted her head and gave Sharon a look that said what she could not bring herself to say in front of Lynette. Her look said: I will never forgive you.
"I can't be angry at you, Sharon," Lynette said with a smile. "We're both dead now, and we're going to be moving on... there's no point in holding onto these emotions."
"I can't forgive myself."
"Penny," Lynette said, "Did I ever tell you I had a little brother and sister?"
"You didn't," said Penny, finding her words. She thought of Henry and how she had tortured herself seeking closure for years. "I'll find them. I'll let them know what happened."
"I should have... we existed in two different worlds now that I think about it," Lynette she laughed. "Jaden and Cierra. They were two gigantic pains in the ass... they were normal. But, I loved them nonetheless..."
That smile disappeared before her face turned flat.
"Please... tell them everything," Lynette said, as she began to fade away, "They deserve to know, after all."
"You know I will."
Right before Lynette was completely gone had some last words for Penny.
"I'm going to miss you, Penny," Lynette laughed warmingly, "I know you weren't perfect. I understand you weren't, but I know deep down you're a good person. I'm... glad that you finally have closure for what happened. I died from having mine. If nothing else; I'm just begging you to stay safe out there, Penny."
She kept laughing right before she was gone.
"Maybe we'll meet again - but who am I kidding? We will. Maybe both of us will be alive," With that, Lynette was gone... however Penny heard her voice one last time. "Who am I kidding. This is the end, just remember this: I love you."
Sharon was still there and hung her head as she rapidly disappeared.
Jordan and Kimberly were stuck staring at each other wordlessly. Until Kimberly just lost all bearing and broke down into tears as she embraced Jordan's spirit for a hug.
"I'm going to miss you, Jordan!" Kimberly said.
"I'm gonna miss you too, girl!" Jordan said. "Nutty ass white girl!"
"I'm gonna miss you more!"
"I'm going to miss you more!"
"Jordan Nichols," The Hound said as he approached. He simply sat down on his behind as his imposing red eyes scanned the two girls. "We had a deal..."
"Maddie!" Jordan said as she hugged her cousin's spirit.
"She will have no recollection of her death, Jordan Nichols," The Hound said, "And for all intents and purposes; her spot will be switched with yours. The world will believe you died that day and Madison went to Grand Ridge Academy... but she will be alive."
"Okay."
"Are you... sure you want to do this, Jordan?" Kimberly said as one last-ditch effort to have back her only friend. "It isn't too late to, you know, turn back..."
"I know you may feel some kinda way about this, but this is the way things are supposed to go, girl," Jordan started off her explanation, "Finally... I feel that guilt lifted off my shoulders as I can finally begin again. Maddie can have the chance I took from her."
"... Won't she feel the same way?" Kimberly asked.
"Madison, unlike the others who have been revived, will have no memory of the other timeline," The Hound started, "... I suggest you keep it that way."
"Very well..." Kimberly sighed.
Jordan faded out of existence as she smiled at Kimberly for the last time.
"Goodbye, I hope we meet again."
Kimberly fell to her knees as she broke down into tears.
Justin wished that he could join the others but there was somebody he needed to see. Somebody important to him. Justin approached the spirit of his grandmother... for the last time. He hung his head as his arms dropped dead to his sides. He sighed.
"I failed to protect you, Grandmother," Justin started, "I am a disgrace to the Liaos, the Zhaos, and the -"
Justin was interrupted by his grandmother embracing him and he broke down into tears. What he didn't realize was that, on his hands, a sigil of a stone rock appeared.
"It's okay Justin... there's nothing you could have done to save me. If you were there; she would have killed you too... There's nothing to do at this point anyway - all parties involved are dead, so my death is formally avenged. Mystery solved my brave grandson."
Justin was sobbing as he said, "You're right, I gotta let this go..."
"I'm proud of you... you will lead a great family."
"Um...." Justin trailed off, figuring now is a good time. He clenched his fists as he closed his eyes - nearly speaking through his teeth, "I have a confession to make; grandmother. I'm... gay."
Lihua paused for a second.
"Hahahahahahha, so's your mother!" Lihua broke out into laughter as she dropped the biggest bomb on Justin so far. "Or bisexual, whatever the hell you young people call it these days. Know how many times I caught her making out with her best friend? And I'm not talking about a light kiss on the lips - I'm talking about tongue and everything!"
Justin was silent.
"Personally, I think that she married Danny to hide it, but she continued the family name. And that sister of yours is the same way!"
She waved her hand.
"I don't know what it is about my children - but it didn't come from me, it came from your grandfather. You'll continue my bloodline one way or another - or I'll have strong words for you when you get to the other side, yes?"
"... Yes."
"Now, I have one final request for you, Justin... I gave you my abstraction."
"Why grandmother... I don't feel like I deserve it."
"Yes you do, but I don't feel like poetically waxing about it," Lihua started, "I need you to go find a spot in the kitchen... it's that stone tile that always stuck out in there - pull it out, open it up, and take what's inside back to your mother. Then I need you to burn down the place."
"... What?"
Lihua chuckled.
"Don't worry about a little arson... maybe the fumes will improve the smell of that town - what's left of it that is." Lihua slowly faded away into nothingness. "It was great while it lasted, boy, but I must go. I fear if I stay here too long you'll want to join me. Just remember..."
Lihua smiled right before she disappeared and imparted these last words onto Justin.
"... Through fire, through stone, through peace, through war, through snow... I will always love you."
Then she was gone.
Justin could do nothing in response but smile.
A sigh escaped Britney's lips.
Of course, she couldn't do too much in the way of feeling now that she no longer had a body. The only sensation she had was this flowing sensation all over her body as if she was made out of gas. She looked at her hand and noticed it was transparent and green... she sighed. All she remembered was the rock, then she was here. She kept her hands together below the waist as she floated her way over to Penny and the others. There wasn't much to say at this point.
"... Hey," Britney said to Penny and the others, "I, well, don't know what to say really."
She shrugged.
"All my life... it has been dedicated to stopping the Glutton... and I wasn't even there to see it end," Britney began her longwinded yet heartfelt speech. "It's not even a pride thing. It's... everything I did in my relentless pursuit to stop the Glutton. All the lying, killing and manipulating I did and yet... it was pointless in the end. It was... I..."
Even though she didn't have a body to feel with; she had a soul. She sobbed as she couldn't say anymore. She hung her head and stared at her feet as she let out the end of her speech.
"... I don't expect any of you to forgive me."
"Britney, why is it that no matter how many times I told you to shut the fuck up you somehow kept talking?" said Penny. Her words were harsh, but her eyes were smiling. "What you did wasn't pointless. Those things you did were, shit, they were incredibly fucked up, but they still have weight. It was what got us here. You got us here. If you didn't push us as you did we never would've stopped the Glutton. So stop lying to yourself. You were there."
"Penny's right," said Rita. "I always felt like there was something off about you and it made me mistrust you a lot, but you sacrificed yourself to save us. So, thank you. Truly."
For a few moments, Britney was completely silent as she kept her mouth shut. She didn't know what to say... or even feel. Not anymore. She looked at her hand again and exhaled. "... I wish I lived, you know," Britney said as tears went down her cheeks, and began a speech. "I have a lot to make up for... I wish that I could live alongside you all. At least try to make everything I did worth something. Do you want to know why I was so ruthless? Because I just loved all of you. I couldn't let the Glutton or the League hurt you. But truthfully I finally got what I want: a world without the Glutton. And... I can't even live to see any of you enjoy it. Honestly, all I want is for all of you to be happy..."
Britney loudly sobbed into her hands as she began to fade away. It was her time to go to the other side... but she had one last thing to say.
"... This is for the best."
Those were Britney's last words.
After everyone said their goodbyes, the spirits of the truly deceased passed on. Fading away after their time was up. That just left the Awakened and the Child. Who still had some words for them. "Now... I have to say something; the Godforce has returned to Shimmer which means you all will be returning to a very different world."
“What do you mean by that?asked Rita, unintentionally using her abstraction.
"New Awakened will spring up all over the world, as well as Adepts will discover their true heritage and dormant Apparitions will awaken as well... I cannot interfere as it's my sworn duty as One Above All to protect the remaining worlds. And as I do that; I will be creating new ones," The Child said, "I... have one final request for you all; and I know it may be a lot, after what you've done."
"Yeah?" Justin asked.
"I want to seal away the Power of Ascension," The Child started, "It is simply too powerful... however, you will not lose it. If your power is required again I will awaken it inside of you. But, that is only for the direst of events."
"Fine... it was kinda broken anyway," Justin said.
"I kind of enjoyed it," said Penny with a smirk. "But seriously, nobody should have that kind of power."
Soon enough the group was engulfed in white light yet again. It was warming, comforting. Before the group was gone, the Child said,
"This is... goodbye, for now, I will be watching over you all." The Child started, "And don't worry, I cleaned up the mess the Glutton made."
They faded away into nothingness. Were they ready to enter a new world?
The first thing the group felt was the bright sun hitting them.
When the white light faded, they were in the middle of Farmer Hill. A rather frantic Farmer Hill, of course. All around them were EMTs, National Guard, and Reporters. The first thing that looked different was that the people that were sacrificed were gone. The graffiti of Redemption on the walls of the town were gone. There was no snow. Nothing. It was almost like a bright day in spring. There was something about Farmer Hill that felt... brand new. Uplifting even.
A reporter was standing in front of a camera not too far away.
"I am Reporter Molly Schuller," The Reporter started, "I report here at Farmer Hill where a seven-point-five magnitude earthquake suddenly erupted and ravaged this small town. As you can see behind me; it was powerful enough to destroy the mountain."
Mount Ever Reaching, the mountain that Farmer Hill was almost famous for, was collapsed just like it was in the previous timeline...
"Son of a bitch! shouted Penny loud enough to make Rita jump. Her hand was grabbing at the top of her head as the girl stared at her.
"W-what?" said Rita.
"I," Penny drew her lips thin and glanced towards the ruins of the mountain. Her eyes narrowed in the bright sun. "I think I lost my sunglasses in there."
@Stormflyx okay here's another character sheet I just made for... no rp in particular. I just really got inspired to write her sheet, but she's an adaptation of a little "mini novel" I wrote while I was gone a little while ago - and her backstory is more or less an adaptation of what happens except not with her going crazy and getting killed.
My intention was initially to write her as a villain that agrees to plunge the world into chaos out of boredom, but I decided to change her motivations to be somewhat altruistic... while she's still without a doubt a scumbag.

[Power]
APPEARANCE
"While you were undressing me with your eyes, she got behind you. Have fun."
Emily is a girl that seemingly took a complete one-eighty in terms of appearance and demeanor. She was never ugly, but before she usually had her hair tied into an unflattering bun, never wore makeup, had nerdy glasses, and usually dressed conservatively. Recently, after her pact with Babylon, she decided to try something a little different. She now lets her hair out into a long straight mane that goes all the way to her back, wears makeup, and dresses well for her figure. Along with ditching the glasses for contacts or better-looking glasses. One would say that she caterpillar to a butterfly. The girl has a confident aura with how she constantly walks with a smile on her face... but it's the kind of smile now that she's happy, that she's the best person here. That she knows something that everyone doesn't, and that betrays the nature of what would be a normally flirty smile into a dangerous one. Every time she speaks, she seems like she's speaking down to other people. Always in the same condescending tone and sometimes never makes eye contact with them (but she never seems to make eye contact with anyone). Even with authority, she's still dismissive as always.
Into her appearance, Emily is part French-Canadia and part a bunch of other stuff. She seems to take primarily after European cultures in her face, but few know can tell. The girl has a square jaw and a very pronounced nose and most notably blue eyes. Her skin has a few scars but she tries her best not to get more and usually hides them under makeup. Emily is a bit taller than average at five-ten, she stands up there with the boys. She stays in relatively good shape by exercising but is still nothing more than skinny. It feels like most of the girl's fat went straight to her chest, as she has a 38D cup size (She never admits this but one is bigger than the other), but the world's second flattest behind. Usually, Emily dresses pretty fashionably wearing Nike, tights, and whatever clothes that she thinks makes her look the best. Sometimes when she goes all out she decides to wear a dress... her favorite a bright green dress.
Now as for Babylon, the apparition that she's affixed to, she takes the appearance of a tall, flaming woman (yet generates no heat) that stands at least six feet tall. The apparition is completely nude except for the fire that (barely) covers her nether regions. Usually, the Apparition floats or flies around but whenever she takes a step she leaves behind a flaming footprint for a few moments.
PSYCHOLOGY
"Let the world fear us, this is just means to the end."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Emily G. Reed and Babylon have two completely different goals but they're helping each other. Emily G. Reed wishes to lift the curse that is on her sister - along with removing any Extra-Normal threats that are out there by force. Not out of altruism, she's just trying to protect herself and other people from them as she believes prevention is better than the cure. Babylon, on the other hand, has the long term goal of living up to her nature as an Apparition: plunging the multiverse into a chaotic mess of violence, hedonism, and sin. For various reasons (she claims that she's doing it because she pities the girl) she's helping Emily.
PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Truth to be, Emily doesn't give a shit about philosophy or anything of that mind. She usually says that it's a waste of time and she doesn't have one. However, Emily's actions and words, once analyzed, portray one: self-indulgence. All her life she was bending backward to make everyone around her happy at the cost of her own - and now she wants to make herself happy. Screw morality and other people, she just wants to get what she wants, however. She believes that she has to be heartless, ruthless, or people will step all over her.
SECRETS ⫻ Well, she doesn't go around announcing that she's affixed to a demon, that's for one.
SEXUALITY ⫻ Emily is straight.
FEARS ⫻ Emily, ultimately, fears making the bad call. She suffers from some confidence and self-competence issues that prevent her from fully making the right choice. Which is why she usually relies on other people that she trusts to do it for her. Which ends up being Babylon a lot of the time (who fears nothing btw). The girl fears to be powerless in any situation and makes sure that she's constantly in control. She also has mild Scopophobia... she has a hard time looking someone in the eye before it starts feeling awkward.
REPUTATION ⫻ As for Babylon she's feared across the multiverse as being a terror and the most cunning and evil thing in the known universe. Some believe that she's the one that'll end all the worlds. And she's affixed to Emily G. Reed. A nobody in the grand scheme of things and is known for being spineless, though that's probably what Babylon is counting on.
FLAWS ⫻ Emily, again, has self-competence issues deep down. Even though she has made strides, she's better suited as the follower than the leader. She feels like she'll make the bad call and end up making a mistake that'll embarrass her. The girl is a hedonist and is ruthless in getting what she wants, and she has a habit of making enemies. She also has self-worth issues and tries hard as possible to seem like she's better than the people around her - by putting them down anyway necessary. The girl also hates feeling powerless and out of control and has mild control freak tendencies - she always has to be in control. Not mentioning the fact that she's affixed to Babylon, the being that probably has a huge amount of people that want to kill her.
BACKSTORY
"Don't worry about where I came from, worry about that I'm right here."
The story of Babylon has been lost to time - or at least that's what Babylon says. She's an ancient Apparition from one of the many alternate universes out there and she gives usually one of two stories. The first one was that Babylon originated in the era of swords and shields as a powerful sorceress that was originally an Adept. She owned her kingdom of monsters, evil, and sin, one that spanned many different nations and she had slept with kings and queens before. Before the end times came and she was killed by one of her monsters. She came back as an Apparition shortly afterward. The other story she sometimes gives is that Babylon originated in the 1600s in a town overcome with lust, violence, and monsters, and a Preacher's intense desire to find something to blame created an Apparition. This Apparition ended up spreading her belief and power to all corners of the Earth where she became so powerful that she was a threat to the universe as a whole. It came to an end when she was sealed in a different universe.
Since then, Babylon has existed for millions of years - in chronological time, as every universe ages differently - terrorizing reality where ever she can get her hands on. She was Affixed and Adjoined to many, many, different humans and was even an Agent to some and Abscised a few people. Her abstraction changed constantly so much that she forgot what her first abstraction was, but she kept a few core abilities. She has done so much that she honestly forgot and only seeks to reach the heights of powers that she had reached before through any means necessary. The Apparition was known as one of the League's greatest enemies and rolled with the illustrious Thorton Walters a few times... but on and off as she found him dull and he always claimed that he had "bigger plans" than her. Some believed that Babylon would, through her foolishness, end the multiverse.
However, that came to an end when Babylon was tricked into entering Shimmer where she lied dormant as there was no Godforce there. Babylon slept for ages before she ended up returning as the Glutton was defeated. The only problem was that the belief in her was gone and she was rapidly fading. So out of desperation, she affixed herself to a child and that only lasted as long as she found a better host...
... Emily G. Reed.
Now Emily didn't have a special type of upbringing. She had two parents (Amber and Austin Reed) and two sisters (Miranda and Jacqueline Reed), went to school, had friends, and didn't suffer any tragic backstory! Though some stuff kinda sucked - there was always something... off about Emily. She didn't socialize with people that well and was relatively reclusive, but she was always trying her best to make friends. She thought that maybe if she's nice they'd like her better and eventually tried taking that to it's extreme. Throughout the years she did favors for everyone and always shared and put other people before herself. However, this ended very poorly for Emily; people simply took advantage of her kindness, but she had a hard just wrapping her head around it. She made a lot of mistakes and the people she thought were her friends peered looked down on her and insulted her because of it. So for years people just treated Emily like trash and she just took it. Mainly because she wasn't all that confrontational or always made some type of excuse in her head to avoid confronting them. It was to the point where some people would have to stick up for her. Still, she had a few friends that saw her as a person, so that counted for something, right? Let's ignore all the pent up rage and frustrations that began to grow in Emily.
The only solace that Emily had was in her family, the rest of the Reeds. She had a close bond with her two younger sisters, even though they kinda had their moments of rage. They were more proactive and confident in themselves than their older sister and they had plenty of fun (which, in Florida, isn't that hard to find). Emily was very protective of her sisters and did everything she could for them and they, in turn, did the same. She wanted to succeed, for them.
Emily graduated high school and went off to the University of South Florida in Tampa - not too far away from home. It was where Emily studied Psychology, and minored in Propaganda and got her first boyfriend: Rip Vanburen! He was so dashing, nice and appreciated her! She also kept in touch with her sisters, but that changed. And in her spare time, she got a glorious job in a grocery store as a cashier. This is where things started getting a little bad on Emily. Her bosses weren't exactly the best business runners out there and legitimately didn't care about Emily. Despite wanting shifts at night or whenever she didn't have classes they just gave her shifts whenever and extra hours. She tried to put her foot down but she didn't have the strength to resist it.
This caused her grades to drop as she tried her hardest to maintain her social life. Even though all of this was taking a toll on Emily, and it got worse when it turned out that her boyfriend was sleeping with another girl. Emily was betrayed and fell into a spiral of depression... one that she didn't care enough to stop and rest. She stayed with her boyfriend Rip even though he was cheating on her and she stopped talking with all of her friends and sisters. Though, everything changed one night when Emily decided to try something - anything to get out of this slump. She confronted the girl that her boyfriend was sleeping with Magnolia Rose, and it ended in a fight between the two that Emily lost. Horribly.
Waking up in a ditch without her wallet, Emily went home and barely felt like getting out of bed. After getting bugged by her bosses to come into work (when she told them she had class) she managed to force herself out of bed and took the bus ride there. However, that was when things changed.
That's when she met her.
Babylon, she called herself, was affixed to an infant and saw how Emily was doing and decided to help her out of pity. At first, Emily thought that she had finally gone mad and tried to ignore the Apparition that she was affixed to but Babylon kept at it. When she went to work, Babylon kept tempting her to stand up for herself and was ignored. This kept going for months until Babylon decided to resort to more drastic measures to get Emily on her side. When Rip and Emily went out on a date, eventually the subject of his cheating came up. Rip honestly didn't care and was dismissive of it all... until Emily snapped and punched him across the face. He laughed it off as Emily kept hitting him more and more... He got scared for his life as her strikes were inflicting serious damage and he was screaming for his life. She got a look at her hands and realized that they were claws and she realized that she transformed into a monster without realizing it.
And Babylon laughed. The two escaped from the scene as Emily was reverted into a human and she was horrified at her actions. However, she felt some kind of enjoyment out of punishing Rip for his actions - as fucked up as it sounded. She finally felt something that she needed to feel: power - and that was everything Babylon needed to hear. She told Emily that, through her power, she can make everything perfect. Emily was reluctant but was willing to give it a try - anything to get out of this depressive slump.
If nothing else, she wanted to make her bosses pay for their actions of taking advantage of her, treating her like meat... so she had Babylon treat them like meat. Babylon cast a spell on the two of them and forced them to make love to each other in the office. All under camera... to say the least, the authorities were called and there was a vacant seat. One that Emily herself was reluctant to occupy, but someone else took it and with a little threatening, she got everything that she wanted. Then she found that bitch Magnolia... and apologized to the girl for her past actions and told her that she can have Rip all to herself. Meanwhile, she got the hours and shifts she needed to complete her classes without bending backward.
And so, in less than a week Emily was happy again, however, she felt like this wasn't what she wanted. She felt a twinge of boredom with her life now, sitting around in classrooms and working in a shitty grocery store. When there were magic and adventure out there, but truly Emily finally understood the power that Babylon boasted about. She wanted to do more with it than sit on her ass but didn't know what. After years of putting up with everyone's bullshit and trying to please them, she decided that it was time to find her happiness.
Especially with Babylon around. The Apparition planned to plunge the world into violence, hedonism, and wanton lust - and Emily wasn't exactly sold on helping end the world. And Babylon understood but knew the two would find a common language. The two were alike in ways that Emily, at the time, didn't understand - and Babylon had some sort of affection for the girl. Emily tried to live her life in some semblance of normality but Babylon warned her, regardless of what happened: she was a flame that attracts the moths. Other Extra-Normal beings would come after her and eventually come in contact with them and have to face them.
Things were fine for a year. She graduated with her major and... ended up with a job as a secretary for a lab in Tampa. And she eventually went back home as she tried to decide where she was going to go next. However, everything changed one night when her sister, Miranda, frantically woke her up - telling her to go help, Jacqueline. There was an Apparition attached to her that was sucking the life out of her... and Babylon couldn't help but chuckle as Emily got heated. A fight ensued between the two which ended with Emily driving off the Apparition... however, Jacqueline was afflicted with a curse that was slowly killing her. Babylon finally explained why she was laughing: Emily was, like she said, the flame and the apparitions and other beings were the moths.
At this point, Emily was about to cast Babylon out, but the Apparition explained that she was the only thing helping her... which she asserts is out of pity. She told her of all the ways that she could break the curse, primarily finding the Apparition. Which Emily set out to do, along with a different goal... she realized that there are threats out there to herself and her family that she can't ignore. This is why, to prevent things like this from happening again, Emily set out to destroy all the Apparitions and other Extra-Normal beings she deems to be a threat. Every night she set out and moonlighted as a "demon hunter", ruthlessly hunting them down and sealing them into objects.
Eventually, Emily set out to find other, friendly, Extra-Normals so they can figure something out.
SKILLS & TALENTS
"Show me everything."
Tennis ⫻ Emily was quite passionate about Tennis back in the day. Her footwork, reflexes, and speed are quite good along with her skill. She doesn't play it as much - but whenever she gets the chance, she stops by a tennis court and practices (At times, plays some scrubs at it).
Spanish ⫻ In school Emily learned how to speak Spanish, and is a native of Florida she knows how to put it to good use.
Extra-Normal ⫻ Apart from her nature of being affixed to an Apparition that's existed for eons, Babylon is willing to share everything she knows about the Extra-Normal. What types of beings are out there and what sort of supernatural fuckery she can get into. Most importantly, Emily knows how to seal Apparitions, a skill that she uses well.
EXTRA-NORMAL ABILITIES
"She's already placed a spell on you... you better start running."
TYPE ⫻ Aberration (Affixed)
ABSTRACTION ⫻ Execration, Babylon can create curses and cast them out as spells to affect Emily, the environment and other people.
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Babylon is an ancient Apparition that has existed in many universes and in many different forms. She was the embodiment of all the evils in the world and that reflects in her abilities. Particularly, her abstraction has shifted so many times that she can hardly remember what her even the first one was (or she just doesn't tell because it's not important). Her current abstraction reflects a phase she spent as a sorceress after abscising someone. She has access to many different "Curses" that she can fire from her hands. Each of these curses in the physical form takes the appearance of Babylon's sigil and depending on the curse glows a different color. They can travel fairly fast through the environment and once they make contact with an object or person the will be cursed (or afflicted) and the sigil will float above it. Depending on what it hits will change the properties of the curse (Curses that hit the environment are an area of effect ability, while curses the that hit a person tend to affect that person, and each of the curses gives Emily a different ability) and she can only curse one thing at a time.
The Curse of Unending Flame ⫻ The curse Babylon casts out will have a bright red aura around it, almost like a fire. The Curse of Unending Flame is, like the name implies, a fire curse. When the spell connects to a person they'll instantly burst into flames and will constantly burn as long as the curse persists - possibly burn to death as the flames seemingly won't end unless extinguished or the target is killed. If the curse is connected to the environment it'll cause glowing cracks in the ground, which will shoot jets of intense flames for a few moments before they disappear. Applying the Curse of Unending Flame to G. Reed, however, affects similar to a heat-proof shield. She'll be completely immune to fire but she'll have a certain effect on fire and objects. Objects that burn real easily like dead leaves, clothes, etc, will combust in her presence after a certain amount of time - they'll instantly catch if she touches it with her hands. The other effect of applying the curse to herself is that fires burn much hotter and are much more volatile around her - along with being a lot harder to put out. This ability naturally synergizes with other pyrokinetic along with applying the curse onto the environment.
The Curse of Horrid Form ⫻ This curse has a yellow glow around it. It's a curse that Babylon's is (in)famous for and probably the one abstraction that she started with. The Curse of Horrid Form has a few particular effects that make it easily the most dangerous curse in the right hands. If a person is struck by the curse; they'll become an Afflicted and become half-animal. Whatever animal they become is symbolic to their personality (a scared person may become a mouse, an angry one a bull, etc, etc). Usually, these horrid beings get the strengths and weaknesses of said animal. However, the curse causes them to be cast out of society as a freak as they'll be desperate to break it (the only way to break it is for Babylon to break it). Casting the curse on the environment will cause an explosion of energy that'll trigger a mass transformation - albeit at a much slower rate.
Applying the curse of Horrid Form to Emily, however, causes her to transform into a wolf-woman. Her mass will increase (to the point where she adds on a few inches), her teeth will grow sharp, her digits will end with claws, and she'll be covered in silver fur. In this form, she's faster, stronger, tougher, and her sense of smell is on par with a wolf.
The Curse of Lust and Hedonism ⫻ The curse of Lust takes a pink glow around the sigil. The curse of lust is probably the most malicious of the curses in Babylon's opinion as it overwrites free will. If the curse is cast on a person, the only thing on their mind will be pure and unbridled lust. They're going to try to bone the closest person in sight and if they say no they'll try the next one until they say yes. They'll keep having sex until they either die or Babylon breaks the curse (though she finds it amusing to watch someone fuck themselves to death). If the curse is cast onto the environment it'll cause an explosion similar to the Curse of Horrid Form and whoever is hit by it will be compelled to have sex with the other people who have been hit (if only one person has been affected then the curse will instantly break).
If the Curse is applied to Emily, it gives her a different ability: shapeshifting and persuasion. It, first and foremost, alters her appearance depending on the person she's targeting. Shifting her appearance into their ideal person, and afterward, she'll find herself to be very hard to resist. Just by being in her presence will make them gradually more and more aroused as their lips will do anything to get her to take her clothes off.
The Plague of Flies ⫻ Curse of flies makes the sigil glow with a turquoise aura. The Plague of flies is the one curse that Babylon says can end lower technological civilizations. Once the curse is cast, an absolute horde of flies will appear and swarm whatever. If it's cast on a person, then they'll be swarmed with the flies as they'll be assaulted by the deadly swarm. They'll try to force their way inside of their target's orifices and eventually suffocate them if the curse isn't lifted. The Curse of Flies, when casting onto an environment, creates a massive swarm of flies so thick that it can't be seen through. The flies won't target or damage anyone for that matter, but they'll obscure the environment enough so that Emily can escape. The Curse of Flies, however, when applied to Emily seemingly has a detrimental effect: the flies will swarm her from head to toe. However, the flies will act as a symbiotic organism that'll clean her body off dirt, clean out her wounds, clog wounds with maggots to slow down bleeding, and if she needs to get away they'll form a cloak for her to getaway.
As for Babylon's abilities herself: Babylon isn't particularly strong but has the strength of a grown man. She can also float around and stuff due to the whole Apparition thing, but can't travel that far away from Emily.
AURA SENSING ⫻ This aura reading ability has nothing to do with Babylon, but Emily can sense the auras of all Apparitions in a ten-meter radius. For her to use this she has to close her eyes, focus and look around... but she can only see Apparitions that aren't Sealed, Affixed, or Abscised.
LIMITS ⫻ Now, you might be thinking that Babylon is the most overpowered apparition in the world. And you'd be right... if the RP was more about normies. You see, due to the Extra-Normal's resistance to each other's abilities, they're downright immune to a majority of her curses and the ones they aren't immune to will only last a few seconds. Just to get out of the way, all Extra-Normal beings are immune to the Plague of Flies, The Curse of Lust and Hedonism and the Curse of Horrid Form - she just can't use it on them. The Curse of Unending Flame can be directly used against the Extra-Normal but it'll wear off in a few seconds and the flames will disappear and the fire won't indirectly cause a lot of damage. Babylon can also only utilize one curse at a time if she wants to use another one she has to lift all the curses that are currently being used. The Curses can be cast as far as the eye can see but go fast enough that even the most unfit person can dodge them. Of course, Babylon is an apparition with free will that's only attached to Emily. She doesn't directly control her and Babylon and her, at times, have very different goals. So that sucks. Babylon can only travel about four meters away from Emily.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ Each curse has a way to break or a drawback. The Curse of Unending Flame is countered by - you guessed it - water. Throwing water on the sigil will instantly break the curse and the curse is also countered by everything else that would naturally snuff out the fire. Also, Emily isn't immune to stuff like smoke or fire itself if she doesn't have the curse cast on her. Speaking of casting the curse on Emily, the fire has the habit of destroying her clothes so she doesn't like using it. It's very destructive and unwieldy and tends to injure G. Reed herself, so it requires caution. The Curse of Horrid Form isn't practical to use at times as there's no way for Babylon to control the transformation, so just using it for the fuck of it will create a half-human mountain of rage right on top of her, or gunning for her. In the case of the Curse of Horrid Form, it can be physically broken by another Extra-Normal being - it's fragile as glass and can be broken in one well-timed hit. Same with the Curse of Lust and Hedonism. Applying the curse of Horrid Form to Reed will cause a painful and lengthy transformation that can leave her vulnerable to damage. And it's painful both ways. However, the curse will wear off if the person doesn't have any sexual contact in a short amount of time (about a few minutes). Finally, the Plague of flies can be dangerous for Babylon as killing a bunch of flies somehow can cause her physical damage. Babylon also isn't that good of an up-close fighter, as she's frail and very weak physically on the standards of Extra-Normal. If you can get close, you can take her out without the use of an abstraction.
There's also the fact that Emily is attached to, more or less, a demon and the social stigma that'll come from it even from other Extra-Normals.

[Imagination]
APPEARANCE
"Irish and proud."
Sugar naturally sticks out in a crowd, much to her chagrin. It isn't due to her size, because she stands at an average five-six. It's probably due to her fiery head of red hair, freckles, and the prosthetic leg. Let me get this out of the way, her right leg is gone below the knee, and replaced with a prosthetic. It's normally a white color, but she had painted on it when she was much younger. All over it, she has many different childish drawings of knights, princesses, and wizards. It's a momento from a part of her that is yearned for. However, Sugar has had prosthetics for years now and she is adjusted to normal walking with it on. Aside from the occasional off-step, it's hard to tell that she even has a prosthetic leg.
In terms of aura, Sugar gives off an aura of somebody who would rather blend in, but can't due to her obstinate nature and pride. She could tie her hair in a less conspicuous manner but she prefers to let it flow around. Usually, Sugar just gives off the aura that she's uninterested in what's going on. She's usually buried in her phone or some other electronic device or reading a book. She always had a satchel slung over her shoulder with a book or other items inside of it. Now, back to her appearance; in terms of build Sugar is very thin to suggest that she eats well and tries to work out but fails. She's very thin, and gaunt, and if you were to see her naked you would see that she's super bony. Not too much of any feminine appeal anyway with 34A cup size and the world's flattest behind. Not that Sugar is particularly interested in sex or anything. She likes her body just the way it is.
Now, contrary to Sugar's quote, she's only partially Irish. She's a mishmash of various European cultures - she may not even be Irish at all! Most likely the most Irish thing about her is her skin, which is a smooth, freckled beige color. She has a lot of freckles all over her body, including her upper body (shoulders and back mainly) and unfortunately, lots of freckles on her behind. In terms of attire, Sugar likes to wear red... and only on off days, you can see her wearing not a single red thing.
PSYCHOLOGY
"How do think I am in a world where Wizards are real?"
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Sugar's personal goal was to redeem her family name. While she doesn't go into exactly what they did, they did some bad stuff to a lot of people. She wants to start anew by starting a new family and a life for herself that'd honor them as well as begin things ago.
PHILOSOPHY ⫻ It's best to say that Sugar subscribes to a loose form of Existentialism philosophy. If there's no point in life what is the point of living? In her eyes, she's trying to find a point to living, because she knows how cold and hopeless the universe is first hand. Sugar tries to adopt a medieval form of nobility and families - because she's pretentious. She takes a huge amount of interest in family names and honoring them - believing that one's actions reflect an entire bloodline.
SEXUALITY ⫻ Sugar is straight but doesn't focus too much on her sexuality.
FEARS ⫻ Sugar doesn't have any particular fears... it's mainly the whole dying without having a sense of real purpose or redeeming herself like she feels like she needs to.
REPUTATION ⫻ Sugar's reputation among the Vanburens is that she's a scion, one of the many orphans that James took under his wing. She's known for being a strange one for her nature and seeming obsession with fairy tales. Of course, she hides her past from the rest of the Vanburens for personal reasons and that puts her at odds with them.
FLAWS ⫻ Sugar has a bit of a temper and has a habit of getting set off way too easily. Which makes her commit very some rash actions. In addition, Sugar feels deep-seated guilt for the actions of her family that she feels went unaccounted for - many James sleeping around and some things that the Reids have done.
BACKSTORY
"I don't use Vanburen out of respect for my old family."
Sugar keeps her past relatively secret for some personal reasons. However, she tells the rest of the Vanburens that she comes from a place called Farmer Hill, Montana. Where she says the Earthquake that destroyed that city killed her whole family, along with trapping her leg under some rubble. She was saved by some people but they had to amputate her leg. Afterward, she was taken under the Vanburen wing after James came by adopting some of the orphans out of the children.
However one thing she's open about is her passion. Since she was young, fairy tales and fantasy stories deeply fascinated her. With her caregivers supporting this and it eventually escalated to a worrying level. She was seemingly obsessed with fairy tales, which leaked into everything that she was involved with. Her schoolwork, her home life, and play life. Her parents simply figured that she'd grow out of it and left her to her own devices. One thing she did do was write her own fairytales in a sketchbook of her own property. This was the start of her love of art and her future business because this was where she began to become an artist. She was talented for her age, and with time she got better and better. Eventually becoming a talented young girl.
Her time in the Vanburen estate was distant as she was the youngest member at the time and one of the more recent additions to the Vanburen family as the events of Farmer Hill took place not too long ago. Most of James' children had grown up and moved on and that left her all alone. What didn't help was her alienation from the rest of the family - which due to a choice comment by one of the Vanburen children was due to her hobby. They called it childish and she needed to grow out of this fairytale obsession. Which she did... she put her childhood sketchbook away and decided to focus on other things. Becoming frigid and hollow due to forcing herself to do so.
Though, Sugar ultimately decided to go to a prestigious school out of state to finish the rest of her time in highschool. That was where she met some strangers like her and reevaluated her social position. Though that was where she found something else out - a roommate of hers, Stacy Hubbard - was Extra-Normal, an Adept in fact. Sugar knows quite a bit about the Extra-Normal, and she was curious about the girl's abilities. Eventually, she opened one eye and could see that the girl could summon "faeries" into the world that can cast spells and serve her. Interested by this ability the two experimented a lot, and their bond grew to the point where Stacy could give Sugar a connection to the Lux.
Sugar gladly underwent this process and attempted to learn casting and an affinity, but could never figure it out... until she pulled out her old sketchbook. It was just what she needed and focused hard enough that she accidentally summoned the dragon from her book. Unfortunately, she couldn't control it enough to prevent it from setting the room on fire and setting the fire alarm.
That was one thing she had a hard time explaining when the two barely dodged an arson charge. They were happy that they were just kicked out and Sugar went back to the Vanburen estate where she chilled while they arranged for her to attend a different school. The girl decided to practice her ability while getting professional art classes... and yet she couldn't do more than summon the characters she created eons ago. Unfortunately, Sugar was there when father unfortunately died, and she didn't hear anything about it until the next morning. She was asleep so she had not a clue what happened and seeing Jame's funeral was the saddest day she ever had.
However, things started getting really weird in Araminta... as the Vanburens from all over came back.
SKILLS & TALENTS
"I need martial arts for the next motherfucker that calls me Blathnat."
Artistic ⫻ It comes as no surprise Sugar is an artist. She doodled a lot when she was younger and with some classes, she's really talented. She can turn life into lines and thus art. She can do it surprisingly fast, too.
Extra-Normal Experience ⫻ Even before Sugar became apart of the Vanburen family, Sugar seems to know a lot about the Extra-Normal. Mainly the other types of beings there are out there but strangely enough, she knows how to seal Apparitions.
Chess ⫻ Sugar has also been taught to play chess and checkers when she was really young. However, this isn't a skill on her own, it allows her to be tactical and quick thinking to an extent.
EXTRA-NORMAL ABILITIES
"I'm a wizard, too, you know."
TYPE ⫻ Adept
ABSTRACTION ⫻ Fairy-Tale Queen, Sugar has access to the Red, Purple, and Golden Lux that allows her to summon things out of fantasy.
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Using Sugar's channeler, her old childhood sketchbook, she is able to summon a wide variety of different beings that are straight out of her own fairytale. The way that Sugar believes it works is that she can summon the characters out of the fairytale book she wrote eons ago. However, how her abstraction actually works reflect her imaginative nature and create summons that brings the characters she created to life. It's linked to how she feels, however. Since her imaginative nature is dead she is unable to create new summons even if she tried because they are soulless. She can only create summons now out of a sense of nostalgia. If she were to get as invested as she used to be in her own imagination she'd be able to create any number of summons. The true implication of her ability; being able to create any type of summoning puts her connection with the Golden Lux as top tier. However, for now, she's limited to four: each summons has its own abilities that Sugar can utilize.
Sir Reginald ⫻ Sugar's strongest summon and usual go-to summon. Sir Reginald takes the appearance of a massive thirteen-foot tall ghostly knight that is transparent. He has a massive sword that's about two heads taller than him and a shield. Sir Reginald can slice at opponents with his sword and defend Sugar with his shield - doing whatever she verbally commands him to do. Sir Reginald is strong and is powerful enough to contend with the strongest Extra-Normal beings and is resistant to physical blows.
The Mean Old Dragon ⫻ Summoning the mean old dragon is a simple one. A red, ghostly dragon head will appear out of her Sketchbook and open its maw and fire a fireball the size of a baseball. These fireballs burn all they come in contact with and the dragon can fire a barrage of them.
The Ice Queen ⫻ The Ice Queen takes the appearance of a regal woman in a massive flowing dress with a staff (but has no facial features). Summoning the ice queen will allow Sugar to fire a beam of freezing ice out of her sketchbook. The beam is made out of blue energy and will gradually freeze all it comes in contact with.
The Wizard ⫻ Summoning the Wizard will create a ghostly mage whose features are obscured by his oversized cloak. All that can be seen is his wooden staff and the Wizard has the ability to create runes on small objects that it can use to telekinetically move them. He can create up to three runes at a time and so far is unable to move anything bigger than an apple, but he can manipulate them well.
Levitation ⫻ A secondary ability rooting from her connection with the orange light, Sugar has the ability to levitate up to fifteen feet in the air. She can, of course, adjust the height but she moves really slow while levitating.
LIMITS ⫻ Sugar can only have one summon out at a time and in order to call on a different summon she has to put the current one away. It'll take a few moments before her summons take an appearance and can be damaged at this time. Each summons does less damage against the Extra-Normal and thus take more damage from them. If the summon is damaged enough they'll be destroyed and won't be able to be used for a few hours. In addition, unlike other abilities of this class, they require verbal commands and gestures to be used. Each summon has its own limits. In particular, Sir Reginald is a huge summon that she can't use in close quarters, or else he'll break. He also can't travel more than a few feet away from her so he can't extend his range even further. He can take the most damage out of all of the summons but he'll gradually crack and shatter like glass. The Mean Old Dragon's fireballs aren't that strong at all, being able to cause a light burn (like accidentally grazing a candle) at worst. However, she can fire dozens at a time, thus sacrificing quality for quantity. The fireballs can travel about ten meters before they dissipate. The ice queen can fire a beam for about a minute straight then she'll need another minute or two to recharge. The beam isn't instant and it'll take some time to actually freeze something (liquids freeze faster though), and has a range of about five meters. The wizard can only affect objects up to the size (or mass) of an apple and can only control three at a time in a ten-meter radius. The Wizard can send them hard enough to cause some damage but the summon's telekinesis can be beaten by someone grabbing it.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ Any damage that the summons receive is reflected back onto Sugar. If Sir Reginald gets a crack on his thigh, so does Sugar. This can result in some really nasty stuff.
