The RP is a Sandbox Style that allows players freedom to venture given when the Story Mode as its cooldown sessions. Playerbase gets free roam on the land, well executed for a short amount of time, however we like just as long as it is within time and effort. The facilitators does not have to be the GM team, it starts with you and as long as it makes sense. SENSE!

It is a fact that Naruto RPs do better with such style because of the wide to life world building it offers. The best way to run this RP as a whole is the eccentric events that transpire in the Feudal population.

The End of Feudalism and The Rise of Prefectures. Konohagakure, the Hidden Village of the Leaves of the Fire Country now known as City of the Leaves is not immune to the rapid progression of Heiwa Gentrification Era's industrialization, a time where the demand of you and me, Ninja are rapidly declining because we have found other ways to use Chakra in our daily livelihood. As you and me are passionate of becoming Shinobi in a decaying world regardless of nation and race whatever the reason we press on towards the goal.

This is our coming of age, and how we deal with a decaying society, my friend. How we Ninja had become agent of the shadows, we protect the world within the shadows, we are the light in the dark and in a way that is revolutionary. Welcome to Kakumei! I hope we find our revolution.



Modern Konoha
Konohagakure was originally established by Senju Seigirama. If its direct predecessors are considered, it is one of the oldest shinobi villages in the known world and it continues to be one of the largest to this day despite the struggles it has endured throughout history.

Konohagakure has an erratic history and a storied reputation, one that has led the founding clans to strengthen their bonds and techniques as they work towards ensuring the safety and survival of the village no matter what the consequences end up being. Seigirama, experiencing the waning days of a corrupt emperor, took matters into his own hands and with his rivals brought an end to the emperor's corruption thus ending the Konran Period and leading to the Fukkatsu Period. New threats and challenges would come in time, but over the course of two centuries the people of Konoha would persevere. In the minds of the ninja of the leaf, it was a better world than the one they had been forced to endure under the Han Dynasty.

The Fukkatsu Period would define an era of independent shinobi working alongside honor-bound daimyo for the greater good of the realm. Or at least it did at first. Eventually threats like the Unseki Chigiri Alliance would remind the clans of Konohagakure that the world they lived in was not a kind one. Eventually several incarnations of a “great ninja war” surfaced and Konohagakure adapted to survive. Smaller villages were not so lucky and ultimately at the end of every conflict the shinobi nations found themselves losing more than they gained. It wouldn’t be until the dawn of industrialization and growing technology until the world realized the ninja way of life was slowly but surely becoming obsolete. Many declared it the end of the Fukkatsu Period. For some this was a good thing, but as this change occurred so did new, more modern threats. The rise of corporations, the yakuza, and peasant revolutions. So began the Heiwa Gentrification Period.

This new period has spawned iconic shinobi who have led their village with tenacity and vision – for better or for worse.

The newly elected Jūnidaime Hokage, Uchiha Satoru leads Konohashi(City of Leaves) following a brutal civil war against his predecessor, Yamanaka Inotora. But can he live up to the legends of the past as growing modernization threatens his city’s very way of life? Can he deal with the plans of the secretive Haibara, the enterprising Kaminarimon Corporation, and the world that is changing around him?

It's up to the new generation to find out.

Most of us see crusading masked man on the works of espionage and assassination, that is the essence, that is who we are. I am here to tell you that the world has believed that Shinobi no longer exists and we are mainly a tale to tell in today's society, a mystery. Some of our villages grew to be industrialized cities while some remained as homes to the Ninja and the title of Kage has little to no meaning.

Yes you heard it. That includes the City of Leaves formerly known as Konohagakure which has also lost its meaning as it's overran by industrialization since the time of the Seventh Hokage. The Hokage remains superior but his powers became limited due to Heiwa Gentrification's Constitutional Monarchy Government. The Prime Minister gets to rule and the government of Leaf City is divided into three branches: the Legislative branch, the Executive branch, and the Judicial branch.

Hence, the demand for Ninja is low. All of us are Chunin ranked that are given great power and great responsibilities to do. We take a wide variety of missions within the city, overseas and collaboration with Samurai.

Not to mention, there is no long a Five Great Shinobi Nations for they are now united under one banner, one country, one nation called Homura. So the previous five separate headbands are obsolete.

Emperor

The Warlord/Governor or for a better word, Daimyo/Feudalism is abolished. No longer separate nations but prefectures under an Emperor, the five great Shinobi Nations became UNIFIED as one country called Homura. Enishi Hideki aka The Demonic Conqueror of the 8th Heaven was a Samurai Warlord who united the Shinobi World. He was also known as The Tetsu no Ōutsuke/The Big Fool of Iron. Hideki united the world under one banner after the Second World War which took place during the 6th Hokage's time. The Emperor is a Benevolent Ruler that oversees his nation.

Samurai

The Samurai are still alive and well and unlike Shinobi, they guard the Emperor with their life. They sometimes pay the Kage to recruit Ninja.

Kage

They may be Ninja but their power is now grandiose with some win some, lose some allowing them to lead the city as Mayor.

Prime Minister

A prime minister is the head of a cabinet and the leader of the ministers in the executive branch of government. They help their Kage as HEAD OF THE STATE.

Aristrocrats

Noble people who have money to fund and create businesses.

Commoners

People of everyday life.

Ninja

You and me. We are killing machines for hire/bodyguard for hire.

Modernized

Use your imagination and see. Despite being one country, the differences are still evident; we still get to have the traditional clothes of the former. The technology we have are thanks to Chakra Science; we have like Chakra Induced: Airships, Boats, Horse Carriages, Trains, Calculators, The First Phone and name it all for a Steampunk genre.

Power Levels

The Otsutsuki are not aliens anymore. They are human, period. Kishimoto is known to climax at big ideas which could have been used for a different manga, in this RP we are Ninja and you know what that means, our fighting form will be grounded and there will never be big explosions and Super Saiyan Gods.

The Nine Deities

To cut every application of Tailed Beasts Hosts. They are finely tuned to this RP as Youkai Gods of Japanese Mythology which means they are Chakra Gods that can assume human form and do whatever the crap they want.

The Uzumaki

No longer they have relations with the Senju but they are now descendants of the Nine Tailed Fox in this RP. Their red hair is the result of Kurama the Nine Tailed Fox Goddess of Fertility and Mischief ancestry, yes they are descendants of Kurama and have demonic blood. When an Uzumaki is triggered and angered, their eyes turn red with slit irises, canine fangs, and claws appear! The aura around them is enough to make one run for their lives! Anything else about the Uzumaki remains the same, as a homage to India's Sentinel Island, The Whirlpool Village is isolated and the Uzumaki has cut ties to the world except for a few war refugees.

The Uchiha and the Sharingan

The Uchihas petty feud with the Senjus ended during the 1st Hokage era so we can prevent all their homoerotic bitter rivalry. Considering my take on the Uchiha in the RP, they are what they are supposed to be, Jerk with a Heart of Gold Policemen/Politician Clan.

For the sake of power balance. The Mangekyou Sharingan does not exist in this universe continuum. As per Sasuke Shinden Novel; The Base Sharingan can now copy Elemental Kekkei Genkai just as long as the Uchiha have the requirements to perform it. E.g You need water and wind to make ice but it would be weaker.

B-BUT INDRA, YOU JUST BUFFED THE SHARINGAN. YOU'RE NOT MAKING IT WEAKER! Hey hey, win some, lose some. My friends.

I will say this once. Copying elements is hard. An Uchiha would only be at their best when they are copying the elements they have but not the ones they don't. Likewise if an Uchiha excels at Taijutsu/Kenjutsu, they would do better at what they specialize at. Hence the nerf.

Ninja are Actually Ninja

Just as how Fate Series work for Magus. The Ninja here are totally covert and are more on for hire jobs like espionage and killing etc. Their purpose is to protect the world from the shadows with pragmatic methods like foul play and so on and NOT KISHIMOTO'S Cinnamon Rolls.

Samurai are Relevant

Despite the peaceful era, THEY ARE LIKE MEDIEVAL KNIGHTS!!!! Anyway.

The Samurai purpose is to guard their Emperor and set up territories with the land they are given. They have a rocky relationship with Ninja and mostly do not get along.

The Samurai are given Ninjutsu Resistant Armors from the Age of Gods which are made by the Nine Deity. They can resist/overcome Ninjutsu of B rank and below, for the most part elemental Ninjutsu and Fuinjutsu because shadow clones are physical!!

Occupations Disguises Ninja

The Ninja Society is close to being DEAD. Ever wonder how they will blend in the modern world? Simple. Uchihas are Policemen, Senju are bankers, Hatakes are farmers, Hyugas are Doctors etc. ONLY THE HOKAGE AND THE PRIME MINISTER AND THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS ABOUT THE EXISTENCE OF NINJA.

DA RULES

1. The GM Team has the final say on anything related to this RP.
2. Be adults. Do not be kids.
3. Assuming you have conflict of posting, I am telling you; Don't worry. That is because I believe everyone experienced in this field of RP already know how posting works. IT TAKES TIME. DON'T RUSH.
4. Death is Real and so as Karma. We are Shinobi after all, so try to stay alive and don't kill each other without my permission.
5. Don't go around initiating fights ICly. This ain't Shounen. THIS IS SEINEN. I want development and results not battles for the sake of fighting.
6. Body Flicker is restricted to the usage of three. They will be your lifelines to avoid death for the entire RP. Use them wisely.
7. If it's a Birthday/Special Event/Family matters, I am gonna shut down the RP temporarily for you to enjoy. Hiatuses here are real.
8. Masashi Kishimoto is a creative individual who has throughout the publication of Naruto created an extensive list of jutsu of varying levels of power that in a RP could be frankly bullshit. But unlike other Naruto RP’s I will be clear and say sometimes bullshit is okay— if it’s approvable bullshit with a merit to the story progression or character depth. A genin with abilities that can rival a Kage or Sage? Not at all likely. But given the nuances of prodigies, fools, and kunoichi there is a lot of room for margin of suspension of belief. Even in the canon’s earliest (and most sane) moments, we had characters straight out of the academy who had skills/affinities/talents their teammates didn’t.

For example — Sasuke had a variety of techniques that were beyond “Academy Techniques” as he was not only talented but from a prominent clan with various affinities. Sakura had chakra control down so well she could walk up trees whereas her comrades couldn’t. Naruto utilized creative jutsu like his perverse twisting of the transformation technique. If we keep this in mind during character creation we can create clever and dynamic characters that make sense but even more than that are fun to interact with because everyone has their own niche.

How does this apply to “approvable bullshit”?

That’s a large question—but use your imagination in the character creation process, talk to me and your peers, and see what works and what doesn’t. Hell, if you’re a player I know really well that might not even be necessary. Academy Students should have all academy techniques (or presumption knowledge of them) listed in their E Rank hider. Beyond that they should have 2-3 D Rank abilities, and 1-2 C Rank abilities. If you have a good argument for one more then make it in PM or notation; elsewise this is fairly concrete. Presuming I accept chunin (and jonin) the scale would increase.

Non-canon (aka Custom Jutsu) should be written in with rough description of a fundamental definition, weakness, and general mechanic.

I just quoted Inkarnate. Anyhow...Chunin should have 1 A Rank Technique, 2 B Rank, 3 C rank and the rest are basics.

Here are the ranks:

Genin for the better word are noobs. Their purpose is to grow.

Chunin are experienced Ninja who are tasked on field work. The second in command when the Jonin are not present. They are skilled shinobi that can take on multiple opponents at once.

Jonin is basically mission control, team leaders. They are often professors of Academy. Their purpose is to lead missions and groom Genin.

ANBU are merely Hokage's Taskmasters that exceed Jonin, they deal with top secret missions. Their relevance in a time of decline has increased, missions involve supervising bodyguard missions etc. Direct orders from the Kage.

The Sage of Six Paths and the birth of an organized militant civilization; the ninja and the samurai. Almost everyone in this world knows about the tale of the messiah that saved mankind from the corrupted one, but as humanity progress, will they deviate from the commandments of the Sage? It is indeed evident that men strayed from the teachings of the Sage, they have diverted their attention on worldly desires and ridiculed the heavens as history repeats itself. Perhaps the birth of scientific ninja tools is the living proof that causes men to fall apart, and as we look back, the world we knew before and compared to now, marks an end of an era. Many are called but few are chosen, not all who call upon the heavens will be answered by the Sage, but those who have heart for him shall not perish but witness a wonderful sight that men's eyes cannot fathom.

The Sage existed during the Tōitsu Period, a time where men and the nine heavenly guardians were in unity, each of these guardians are revered as gods in the eyes of men, they are: Inugamiomo no Shukaku, Nekogami no Matatabi, Kame-ou no Isobu, Sarugami no Son Goku, Kiri no Kokuo, Un no Chomei, Tako-ushi no Gyuuki, and Kurama no Tamae, the latter being the strongest among all. Legends said that they are overseers of mankind as they provide chakra fruits as men's daily bread in impossible tasks.

Otsutsuki Kaguya, an imperial princess from a faraway land became the first human to permanently wield chakra by defying the nine heavenly guardians through eating the chakra fruit of wisdom and defeated the tyrant Emperor Han and ascended to the heavens. Kaguya then gave birth to her two sons, one would be the messiah and the other the father of the Hyuuga, Hagoromo and Hamura, and upon the birth of her sons marked a new age where the nine guardians would no longer provide the power of the fruits as humans can now utilize it within, the guardians in the same token separated the holy trees from the mortal plane — a place where no mortal could find and where secrets are revealed to those worthy. Hagoromo fulfilled his destiny as the messiah who taught Ninshu and saved men from the evil god, Jashin, while Hamura and his household became guardians of the unknown plane. In spite of attaining the Rinnegan's benefit of immortality, Hagoromo chose to remain mortal and unlike his mother whose physical form and spirit ascended to the heavens, he died a mortal and his spirit became omnipresent.

Through Hagoromo's sons, Otsutsuki Indra and Otsutsuki Asura, Ninshu continued with Asura as the successor. Indra didn't take it well and rebelled against his younger brother(which would escalate through many generations), he then invented a weaponized version of Ninshu that we use today and that is Ninjutsu. Kurama no Tamae, one of the nine guardians who is known for her good fortune and mischief cursed Indra for his rebellion and his eyes were dyed in red, his bloodline through generations will experience the curse of the fox. As a result, the enmity between Indra and Asura brought forth the Shinobi era.

The Konran Period, widely known as the "Warring States Era" and the period that succeeded the Tōitsu Period, was a period sparked during Indra and Asura's feud, their respective ideals paved the way to different types of civilization and beliefs, the teachings of Ninshu was mitigated as Ninjutsu became prominent due to constant warring. In this era, it was not inherently the will of ninja to fight as their nature were morally gray (even today) and out of obedience, while the Samurai was living a much better life, considering their allegiance to the Feudal Lords and the Emperor as law enforcers in their countries, the ninja on the other hand were merely assassins for hire and entertainment to the Emperor. Those who were against the Emperor's wishes are executed by the Samurai, many disobeyed and the result was only death, however, Tamae the nine tailed Yōkai aka "The Goddess of Fortune and Mischief", resurfaced, she knew well of the disaster she caused by cursing Indra and his descendants/sympathizers and sought to manipulate events that would lead to the end of the war.

Throughout the course of the war, Tamae never failed to cease the opportunity to disguise herself as a historical figure, having transformed into countless people of fame or not, her objective was clear - to make the Senju and Uchiha, her performers come to a realization about their petty feud, she did everything she could to unite both clans. Despite of the failures throughout her trial, eventually an Uchiha and Senju came to terms, and together they would form the first ninja village with the Sarutobi and Hyuuga and in the same manner, others would too, as a matter of fact, Tamae did not see it coming. She was pleased with the outcome, yet was also displeased because, it was not her who manipulated the path for them, the final test that Tamae schemed; a battle between the Emperor's forces against the unity of the four clans. Ultimately, Takumi and Seigirama defeated the Emperor and became the victor, the crafty fox is once again pleased as things were in her favor yet no so much, she never expected the ninja' victory against the forces of the Emperor and concluded that their unity was worth it, or so what the legends would say.

READ WITH COMMON SENSE

This RP functions as a Sandbox Style giving opportunities of interaction within the premises of the situated locations of World Building. I believe this is a must-do because all of us are given enough time to calm down from the heat of the Story Mode and explore on the things we can do on Free Roam Mode like a brief small talk of slice of life drama but not too much. Read the old version to get a better understanding and the major part I've taken off is we're not gonna be Genin. Again as per Old Version, I am only gonna say this once. If this isn't the RP for you, don't join. The reason being, power levels are going to be grounded as explained in the link I provided you. I refrain from associating canon to RP, and the only canon we'll get is the Sage, his sons, and the Tailed Beasts which are now "Gods" who can assume human form and they will not be accomodated as nukes and Jinchuriki to players. This RP will be like Part 1 Naruto but grounded period.

The likes of how Uchiha were wank are not gonna be a factor here.

To conclude the chase, I'd like to quote a friend and I thank him for making me realize this and I'm sure you would too:

"Naruto as an RP is an interesting setting, so I don't think it should fail by lack of competence at least. But, luck will always be a factor of maintenance and with active ninja instead of trainees, you can focus on actual missions that could advance the plot in someway or another.
Like having them investigate right about these things instead of stumbling upon them."
The story would be narrative and character driven. We could roll with the plots but what makes a Naruto character progress is the bonds that escalates to the tied developments of Narrative-Character. Therefore our characters would be Chunin ranked and are about 15 years old of age and above.

To set everyone's minds on the right track. The current setting is that of Meiji Restoration and ninja are declining as per Boruto analogue.
