Ryan followed Tadao to the pictures at the back, watching warily as he tapped one of the pictures. Suddenly the world began to go insane as all of the pictures warped together into one big picture. Tadao placed his hand one the brother's face and the room suddenly matched the rest of the dungeon.

"Looks like I get to test out my Persona." Ryan tried to inject some confidence into his voice, but his words were tinged with fear. He grabbed his combat knife out of his belt and focused on the power inside of him.

The shadows appeared, monsters straight out of a nightmare, and Ryan summoned Erec. One of them got close to Ryan and he flinched away from it. "Garula!" And just like that the monster was blasted backwards into a wall. Ryan blinked and looked at Erec with a newfound respect.

Chen glared at the leader and then sighed. "I gave you a chance." Wooden spikes suddenly burst from the ground, impaling multiple Fae, leaving them hanging from the tips of the spikes. He heard Mikoto warn him about watching his back and he nodded. A rookie mistake he didn't plan on making often. Chen took a few deep breaths and he focused on the environment around him.

He pointed to the leader with his sword and smiled. Then he began. Chen rushed towards the leader, decapitating a few Fae who tried to get in his way and actually slicing one arrow in half as it rushed towards his throat. As he reached the halfway mark towards the leader, he sprung his earlier trap. He used the vines from earlier and they suddenly wrapped themselves around the leaders legs, trying to topple him.

Chen smiled and nodded as Yu agreed with his plan wholeheartedly. "Great! I thought it was a pretty good idea myself." He was clearly basking in the fact that he already had someone on board with his plan, up until Yu got very... close. "Huh?" He started blushing as he imagined the possible implications of a drunk girl rewarding him.

Of course this was all ruined by Bran's sudden rejection of his plan. "You want to go towards the ultra high level Grimm. Of course you do, my day wasn't insane enough, I need a team member who wants to go commit suicide by Falthon. God damnit." Chen sighed as Bran ran towards horrible death. The worst part is that he was right. In some weird twisted way, he was kinda right.

"Well, there goes my entire plan. You wanna go commit suicide with me drunky? If we get two more people it'll become a new record for student deaths by Grimm." He joked as he slid his guns out of his sleeves. Chen rolled his shoulders and headed over to the battleground. When he arrived, Rood had punched the Falthon in the face, splattering acid all over, some dude was singing and playing guitar (oddly energizing, makes you feel a little better about certain death), and Bran had split into seven Brans which all attacked the Falthon.

"My turn!" Chen yelled as he teleported to a nearby tree, spraying a hail of bullets at another face and teleporting away when it shot acid at him. He was jumping from tree to tree as he avoided acid from all over.

Chen felt the power of the Green Relic course through him, green sparks danced along his body as the Spirit filled his body. Chen grasped the weapons that formed in his hands and stared down the leader of the group. He vaguely heard Ruxen say something about him being a Fae and them having a Legend Relic, but it didn't matter. A murderer was a murderer, no matter what species.

Then Mikoto had to jump in once more, offering to spare them for money. "No. There will be no deals. Blood is paid for with blood." Chen uttered simply as the forest weighed around them. He pointed the blade in his left hand at the one he assumed was their leader and glared at him intensely. "You may have 20 seconds to repent your sins. After which I will kill you. Pick a god and pray."

This had nothing to do with actual prayer of course. Chen was actually buying himself time to figure out how to use these new powers. Being gifted with an Ice tome was great, but it really didn't help you learn how to use what was basically the exact opposite magic. He tried to move around some vines on the ground discretely and frowned internally. He tried once more and was rewarded with success. There were now vines on the ground near the leaders legs. Now the real test was using those for combat.

Ignore. This was a mispost.

Ryan jumped at every sudden sound, constantly looking around to see if something was going to jump at him from an unseen corner or just slightly too dark shadow. It was nerve racking, knowing that anything could try and kill him at any time. "Why couldn't I have gotten Super Magical Runway. I might have even preferred the Hall of The Slain over this." He mumbled to himself as he observed the photos on the walls. The entire family was scratched out except for the youngest. What a strange detail.

They finally stopped at a ward that stood out from the rest of the dungeon. Mainly because everything was really clean. Their leader decided to have them investigate the room and Ryan moved over to the TV.

Chen winced at the roar throughout the forest and shook his head. Falthon, A.K.A. the myths. Nobody stood a chance against those things, luckily they didn't need to. "Hey whoa, I'm all for running away from danger too, but running away doesn't mean we have to fail the exam." He said as he moved in front of Vi. "It just means we gotta play smart. Here's what we do. I'm fast, real fast. So I'm going to grab all the relics, get the hell out of there, and then we meet up at the cliffs. No need to 'Jet' away at the first sign of danger eh?" Chen put on a cheeky smile as he said this, but he was seriously terrified. You don't just go head to head with a Falthon and expect to win. You don't even expect to ever see one, much less meet one.

He then turned to Bran and his smile lessened. "And we don't need to kill anything. We'll get plenty of chances to kill something big and scary later, when we have actual training and experience. Right now, we're going to try and survive, step one is grabbing those relics. Step two, avoid the Falthon. Step three, live. Sound like a plan? Cause it sounds like the greatest plan in existence to me." Chen turned towards the relic location and thought for a second.

"Ok, while teamwork is great and all, it don't mean shit against a Falthon. So we'rd going to split up and meet at the cliffs. Try to avoid the Falthon if you can. If you can't, I'll be at your funeral. I'm going to grab the relics, and book it to the cliffs as well. Can we all agree on that?"

Sky Tower

@Shiny Keldeo@Polaris North

Valentine vanished in a flash of light and reappeared on top of the sky, high above the world, one wrong move meant splat. For everyone else anyways, ghosts don't fall. So that was one thing to check off of the worry list. Now for the 872 other things on the list. Number 1, fighting a lengendary sky Dragon. Valentine glanced at the group who had arrived alongside him. The Bisharp had taken leadership, and he was cool with that. Valentine didn't do leading.

"We should through what moves we know. That way we can work together efficiently and not accidentally kill each other. I'll go first. Confuse Ray, Sucker Punch, Shadow Ball, and Payback."

You didn't have to. David already assumed Chen had ill intent, and from what he knows about humans (in his six months from being on the surface), those with ill intent tend to carry weapons. He doesn't know it's a knife, yet, but think about it... pretty much ANY weapon is deadly to a monster. Heck, a TOY is a deadly weapon underground.

Fair enough. I can understand that.
