Yeah pretty much haha. With the squad roles in consideration, how many people expressed interest earlier (more than expected) and the size of the squad I didn't want to accept everyone at once. Gotta give everyone who wants in a chance to apply then judge them all fairly.

Yeah like me and my slow ass >:[
Alright, I'm having trouble finding a cute image of an anime girl with blonde hair, purple eyes, and that actually looks 13. Help plz.

Everything else should be fixed though.

We'll get on it, expect a PM from either one of us soon. My search is limited at work since all the good sites tend to get blocked.

The young woman nodded in response to Arianna's words. Her curiosity perked up somewhat, but truthfully, she remained wary. Lilie wasn't exactly sure what to expect but letting her guard down could prove dangerous. Then again, there wasn't much choice in the matter. This was her life now. So at the very least, staying cordial and trying to stay on Arianna's good side was probably just for the best. And truthfully, the blue haired woman at least seemed friendly enough. Truly, her beauty and grace alone were something to behold, her voice alone soothing and drawing Lilie in. Playful, but she was still a vampire, and it wasn't too hard to miss those blue eyes looking at her neck.

Arianna would begin to walk, keeping her grace and poise as she beckoned for Lilie to follow suit. "Yes, my lady," Her movements alone were enough to intimidate the young girl, but she hesitated for just a second. For once it wasn't out of fear, but she seemed to be looking for someone. She looked around for the blond haired man she had met--Aaron--wondering who he had partnered with. She was so wrapped up in her own business that she never did try to find him again. But he was nowhere to be seen, at least not here anymore; he may have already left and she hadn't noticed. It would be nice if their paths crossed again, she thought.

For now, Lilie made sure to pick up her dress slightly as her shorter legs hurried to catch up with Arianna, putting in effort to match her pace. She was used to her heels, often wearing them to achieve more height to her short stature, but the dress limited her movements somewhat. Once she was caught up she did her best to match Arianna's stride. Releasing her dress, she tried to think of something to say. Arianna did say she wanted to know more about her, but she wasn't sure she had much to tell. She clearly wasn't of any nobility, she was a nobody.

"Um, what is it that you want to know?" She finally spoke up.

@Crusader Lord
At this point I'm sure the roleplay won't be made as the conversation at hand have already likely driven away new players not wanting to be involved in it.

Actually, the whole 'I don't actually know that much about the source material' thing is more likely to drive people away.
@Altered Tundra Will do that for my digimon sheet. And that's certainly an odd request to have my character have less personality...

My character's personality was structured based on positive to neutral to negative, (broadly speaking) in terms of character traits. If I cut the latter half, the character will have no real flaws. :P

Her past, her hang ups and the adoption make her a complicated character. If other characters wanted to explore it, surely other characters would still do it and learn from it in their own ways? I intended to smooth her out with a little bit of time, so she wouldn't always be quite as quirky. But allow me to take a look and I'll try my best to edit/iron out the personality section.

(Have friends over, so may not get to it straight away. Will @ again when I've completed and wish you to look it over.)

Less is more.

Oh boy.

Rather than going to seek our her partner, her partner found her first. The moment of truth had arrived alarmingly quick for Lilie's taste. Honestly, she had no idea how the woman's domineering presence hadn't sent chills up her spine, but she accomplished that quite easily as she felt the vampire's fingers through her hair. Her compliment was flattering, but it rubbed her the wrong way. If she didn't know any better, she would have believed Arianna saw her as little more than a pet. Then again, maybe that was how all vampires saw their mages. Another fascinating behavior she would have liked to know more about, but considering she was the subject, her curiosity shrank down.

Arianna was bold, her beauty otherworldly even in comparison to the other vampires. Her picture didn't do the actual thing justice, albeit Lilie was certain a picture wouldn't be as intimidating. She towered over her easily, her voluptuous body putting many to shame and gathering looks from others. What really stunned Lilie, however, were her eyes: not necessarily the gorgeous color or shape, but they spelled out every single one of her desires, a passion so bright that it was difficult to believe it was coming from a vampire.

And those eyes were set on her.

The arrival of her vampire seemed to remind Aaron that he had his own partner to find. As much as she knew it was the right thing to do, Lilie wished he hadn't left just yet, watching his departure somewhat hopelessly. But duty calls, and as reluctant as she was, that was her role as well. Reminding herself that the very last thing she wanted to do was upset her new partner for years to come, Lilie gave Arianna her full attention, but found it somewhat difficult to keep eye contact.

Doing her best to make sure she wouldn't come off as too meek, Lilie bowed her head. "Good evening," She greeted her, raising her head. "I'm Lilie--although, you knew that," She seemed to catch herself, mentally berating her fear for crippling her social skills.

I wished there was a heart icon rather than a thumbs up lol. This is indeed a cute idea.

Same. The Red String of Fate trope is one of my favorites I admit.
What a cute idea!
Everyone is entitled to their own sorrow, for the heart has no metrics or forms of measure. And all of it... irreplaceable.

People watching had always been a rather fascinating way to pass the time. The way they spoke to one another, how they moved and laughed among themselves, and listening to the conversations they held. If it were up to her, Lillie Dionne would have gone into sociology or anything that would let her study the behaviors of people. Despite the differences in biology, the way vampires and humans behaved weren't all that different. Those who were proud still flaunted what they had, the humble remained just that, and the jovial still spew out some clever wit. The contrast seemed to come solely from the way they poised themselves; the vampires were full of an air of superiority while the mages kept themselves modest.

Lightly pulling at her sleeve, Lilie let out a small sigh. Despite knowing there was a dress code to uphold, she felt somewhat out of place. Her hardworking parents had come together to get her the dress she wore, but really, it felt like a bit much. The glittering dress had color gradation of blue to pale blue towards the hem, a sweetheart neckline, and a white, tulle petticoat. It was long, easily sweeping the ground, though a split on her left thigh was there to make movement easier. Despite her mother's encouragement, she was too modest and wanted more coverage, and so her mother gave her a slightly sheer long-sleeved blue shrug fastened at the collar with a sapphire broach that matched the drop earrings she wore. Her very long hair hung loose; a first, but she had decided it would get her less attention.

Then again, she was modest compared to the extravagance of some others. Lilie watched the crowd at a distance, opened envelope in hand. The princess' speech mostly flew over her head if she was being honest. Her primary concern was learning more about her abilities. But that came in exchange for having to interact with a crowd she had tried to avoid for some time. Her lot in life had deemed her inferior from the moment she was born into a low class family, but that had been a blessing in disguise as it made sure she never interacted with their kind. But the first interaction with them had shaken her, coming closely after an explosion of magic on her doing. They terrified her, there was no pretending otherwise, but she was partnered with one, and she would need to get over her fear if she was to continue at the academy.

Not privy to the world of mages and vampires--with the exception of a clear understanding of their mutual relationship, of course--she didn't know anyone there. A few names popped out, sure, but as a whole she was clueless. For the better, maybe, it was easier to hide among the unknown. The only name and face she knew was the vampire she was partnered with: Arianna Eve. She had absolutely no idea what she would be like, but tried to stay positive. The urge to run was strong, but her desire to learn was stronger. For now, anyway.

As she tried to match the face in the picture with one in the crowd, she was bumped into. The unexpected movement made her jump in surprise, her body shrinking back slightly in fear. Her blue eyes looked at the equally surprised blond man, and she realized that he wasn't angry. Visibly relaxing, the man introduced himself as Aaron. Another mage? It shouldn't have come off as a surprise, but she wasn't really expecting to socialize.

"Oh, it's okay," She assured him, gladly taking his hand as she returned his smile with one of her own. A friendly face was always welcome. "I'm Lilie. It's nice to meet you."

I don't respect GMs who don't know the source material!!!11

I know it. I just got confused 'cause it's only been fifteen years since I've seen it. My God, I'm old...
