The type of person that strives to make other people happy, Austin is naturally affable, willing and ready to strike up a conversation with anybody shy of a Kishin egg. He's immensely optimistic, a glass half-full type without a doubt, and he always seeks to cheer other people up. He always tries to crack small jokes and form puns and his life mission (outside of collecting 99 Kishin eggs and a Witch soul) is to try and get people to smile. Austin is rarely disappointed with others- on an average day, he is jovial from the moment he wakes up to the moment he hits his bed at night.

Austin is a very caring individual by nature as well. He's very kindhearted, the type you can always depend on to help you in need, always willing to lend a hand. While he tends to be a bit klutzy on his own and may not be a genius, he always puts his best effort to improve himself, his partner, and his peers, and he has solid work ethic (though, like most, he is prone to distractions, tiredness, and boredom). He has a genuine good nature about him, something that is very valuable as a DWMA student and protector of peace.

Austin's life was not particularly rough, and his view on the world and society is rather naive. He tends to look at people as naturally good, but corrupted by outside influences and forces often beyond their control, along with poor decision-making. He is reluctant to act with violence to others, normally pacifistic unless provoked or otherwise absolutely necessary. Austin in many ways is innocent like a child, and the way he sees the world through rose-colored glasses can make him more susceptible to the dangers that lie in it.

As stated above, Austin is fairly klutzy. He tends to trip quite often and is fairly well-known for his clumsiness. He is also quite disorganized (evidence: his room, schoolwork, etc.), and every attempt he makes to clean up after himself usually ends poorly. He is a terrible chef, something that he laments greatly, and even worse at handiwork, where his maximum extent is hammering nails. That being said, while he is not a fantastic leader, he has a great sense of teamwork, and when it does come down to fighting, Austin is an excellent asset to have on a team, very cooperative and driven to succeed.

Backstory
Austin lived a fairly normal middle-class life. His father was Cedric Kilgore, noted Demon Weapon that took the form of a greatsword. His mother was his Meister, Alexandra Lexington. The two resided in a nice house behind a white-picket fence in Farmington Hills, Michigan, along with Austin's older brothers, Alex and Anthony, and an in-house nanny, as Cedric and Alexandra often left home to fight the evils that live beyond. Though Cedric and Alexandra were a duo well-known for their aggression, fierceness, and talent up against Kishin eggs and forces that oppose the DWMA, their children both lived lives that exposed them very little to the dangers of the world. They both went to normal school, where Austin got mostly Bs, played sports, tried (and promptly quit) instruments, and so on.

Alex, who was nine years Austin's senior, showed no talent in combat nor any aptitude as a weapon, and so he left for college at 18, and was joined by Anthony three years later, as he as well had no interest nor skill in hunting down Kishin eggs. However, one morning while brushing his teeth, Austin's hand spontaneously turned into a razor-sharp blade, turning his toothbrush into splinters and absolutely mortifying the boy. His parents were quite glad, however, that the family legacy would be carried down another generation, and so the DWMA was called up and Austin was sent off at age 12 with a brown paper-bag lunch in his hand and a pat on his back. Ever since arriving, Austin was able to call upon greater control on his weapon form, find a partner, and became more open and unsheltered, though in some ways, he still remains the child that left his family house 3 years ago.

His blades are razor sharp, more than comparable to a sword, and indeed he can be used as such, but can also be switched to be what his form suggests he should be- a giant pair of scissors used for cutting down all that stands in his Meister's way.

By resonating their soul wavelengths and amplifying it repeatedly, Austin's scissor blades are engulfed in soul energy in the shape of the two halves of a lion's jaw, both a brilliant, bright-blue soul-powered color. With a gigantic lion's head made of soul energy formed, the lion gives a titanic roar, giving Viola the ability to cut the scissors, crushing their opponent with a powerful burst of soul energy.

Quinn stands at a height of 5'4 with a lean yet wiry body. His hair which is red is usually very messy and unbrushed with strands pointing every which way but then at the same time having a general conformity. His eyes are a deep dark brown and his skin tone is somewhat pale but also has a slight tan from the Nevada sun. Quinn's preferred atire is a dark blue jacket with mostly dull yellow hood that has the same blue as the hoodie on the back and top. On the sides of the hood are two circles that very much so resemble eyes and when the hood is up resemble a ducks head. Underneath his jacket Quinn usually wears a light, soft , cotton T-shirt. Quinn also usually rocks a pair of black skinny jeans with reddish-orange converse on his feet.

Personality
Quinn is very lazy and selfish, and doesn't seem to like anything except for cats. Quinn used to like ducks(hence the jacket) but that changed once he met TicTac(explained in backstory). He doesn't open up to anyone very easily and is fairly stubborn , also adding to his list of less desirable traits Quinn has trouble accepting defeat usually decending into a sad funk if he loses. While he seems indifferent and very self reliant Quinn has a few secrets he doesn't want anyone to know.(so don't tell him I told you ;) ). When Quinn is alone he secretly likes to read sappy romance novels and cries easily at sad movies though he won't ever admit it.

Backstory
Born to some fairly unknown weapons in the city of L.A. California Quinn had a fairly boring childhood. He would hang out with friends , go to the pond to feed ducks and just generally have fun. Around the age of five he took a particularly liking to ducks that bordered on being called an obsession. He would study the species and behaviors of the ducks he found at his local lake even filling up a whole notebook worth of notes. This changed though once he became about ten, he had been studying a fairly new duck to the pond one he called TicTac on the account Quinn thought he looked like a yellow TicTac. While he studied the duck the animal actually began to walk up to him, being ecstatic that the new duck would approach him so soon Quinn reached out his hand.

Very soon Quinn realised that this had been a bad idea . TicTac bit Quinn's hand startling him so much he fell backwards which the duck took advantage of leaping on Quinn as he nipped at him. Quinn who by now was thoroughly frightened of this animal and the rest of his kind quickly got up and ran away. To Quinn's dismay TicTac seemed to had taken a liking to him after the attack and followed Quinn. Living the rest of the year silent fear of the duck Quinn was relieved when he got accepted to Death Weapon Meister Academy in Death City , Nevada. Hoping to get away from the duck Quinn quickly packed up and got on a flight to the city.

Fate seemed to have other plans for Quinn though as TicTac followed him , it seemed like the duck would forever be at his side. Duck problems aside Quinn loved his first taste of Death City taking in every thing he could of the city. Going to the DWMA was Quinn's dream scenario and he enjoyed every class he had eventually meeting his meister as he joined the E.A.T. this year. Ready for the coming year and secretly exited to be paired with a meister and get some in the field action Quinn can't wait for his next adventure.

The headmaster of the DWMA and chief executive of all its foreign affairs, the Shinigami Lord Death is an exceedingly powerful individual, with his soul wavelength being rooted down into Death City and protecting it from outside interference. Lord Death's abilities are so powerful, he only wields weapons that have consumed 99 Kishin souls and 1 Witch soul, thus making them fit for him.

Despite his vast power, Lord Death is a rather kind, benevolent overseer of justice, having devoted his life to protecting the planet and teaching the next generations of DWMA students. That being said, his Reaper Chop is never a pleasant experience...

Professor van Helsing

"Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you."

Professor Frederick William van Helsing IV is a three-star Meister, one of the leaders in his field, and a very well-renowned professor at the DWMA. Noted as one of the most talented combatants to ever emerge from the Academy, van Helsing left school to immediately engage in a variety of international affairs. Rumors of his legendary combat prowess are well-known throughout the school, and much of this gossip is based in fact. van Helsing has completed a number of tours across the world, taking all Kishin and Witch souls in his path. His most well-known expeditions include his Struggle on the Negev, where after three days with no food and very little water he managed to defeat a paramilitary group hiding in the Israeli desert; his Skirmish on Xi'an, where he defeated a council of 5 Chinese witches single-handedly and at once; and his Duel on the Puerta, where he defeated and imprisoned a powerful werewolf that posed as the Chupacabra in Mexico.

After many of these legendary journeys, it baffled some that he would return to the DWMA to teach the EAT class. However, his style of teaching, though eccentric, is well-liked by a majority of the students, and his resume is impressive enough to inspire awe in those who come before him. He is one of the idols of Meisters anywhere, and is regarded as second to Lord Death himself in terms of power rankings at the institute.

Avaline Barr

Avaline Yvette Barr is a three-star Demon Weapon and one of the few Death Scythes currently on the planet. After a tragic accident where her Meister perished in a brutal battle with a Witch that left Avaline severely injured, Avaline was at least temporarily retired from field work and assigned to remain at the DWMA as an EAT-class instructor and Lord Death's personal aide and on-hand weapon in case of emergency. Avaline held the position of Professor for 5 years up until the arrival of Professor van Helsing one year ago, whereupon she stepped aside to allow him to become the primary instructor while she worked behind the scenes.

Avaline is undeniably a strict teacher. Unlike van Helsing, who is tough but flexible and compromising towards his students and their methods of learning, Avaline is extremely by-the-books and obstinate, believing that the method she learned at the DWMA is the only method possible to achieve greatness, with no room for any unorthodoxy. She was a brutal grader and famed disciplinarian, but she is generally well-respected as a powerful Scythe Weapon.

Simon Carlisle

Simon Carlisle is a three-star meister, instructor at the DWMA, and a top agent of the DWMA Central Intelligence Agency. A talented Meister, he found his true passion at the institution teaching young students, where over many years he has cemented his position. He serves as the primary instructor for the NOT class, but he is more than happy to sub in for the EAT class if the primary two instructors are unavailable. He also accompanies EAT students on field missions when necessary.

A talented tactician, Carlisle is a kind and generous man, a lenient grader and teacher very much unlike Avaline Barr. Though he will be the first to acknowledge that he is nowhere near the most talented at the Academy, Carlisle is both a very respectful warrior and teacher that is well-liked by almost all the students.
