@Rithy@Andromedai I'm well aware of both, but I honestly have nothing to contribute at this point - he's been dressed down for voicing dissent, robbed of meaningful combat, and now we're just waiting for the floating skulls to get going. There is literally nothing of interest to him at this point.

I'm genuinely not doing this to be obstinate, just being honest.

Last time I posted, a psyker came out and deus ex magicked the 'big bad' - stealing any and all hope of glorious glory - so...let's just assume that Nergui is following whatever you're doing until another suitable enemy presents itself.

I would agree with you there, but many people do not; I'm frankly surprised that this many people are interested at all. Good to know that some are though, makes me happy.

My stance is that the time period will determine my response to that question; if we're later on (Edo Period for example) then a samurai with a rifle/tempered steel would be less conspicuous than one in Sengoku Era Japan. If you're samurai happens to be from Kyushu or a major trading port, then having then wandering about learning to use/offering to teach the usage of this 'Dutch' technology would also be acceptable.

I may be interested , but I have a few questions

Would our characters be at the level of just a nameless samurai in some diamyo's army or would we be at the elevated status of like baking a general at his war council kind of thing, also would this RP include a lot of war like conflicts?

I'd ask you to go back and take a look at what exactly musha shugyo is - our warriors will be on their own journeys of learning, we could well include a nameless Ronin without a clan, a samurai that has just decided to travel and train/improve, a founder/headmaster of a school who, for whatever reason, decided to leave and seek something out.

We may possibly end up in the army of a daimyo, of course, but the likelihood of generalship is minimum at best.

I'll be getting an IC thread up within the next couple of days (Saturday at the latest), so a couple of things;

This will be Advanced - if you honestly don't think you fit, don't hand me a character; I'm not going to be a massive pedant, but a good grasp of English, initiative and imagination will be expected.

Secondly, if you don't know about Japanese history then I won't make you research, but constant errors will see you asked to leave the thread.

If you're still interested, or for anyone else after I've posted this, prepare for a journey.

To be honest, there are very few Chapters/Legions of Astartes that even seen humans as anywhere near themselves. He's not really being 'old school' Astartes, he's just being a Spess Mehreen. Sure I didn't need to tell you that, but I did anyway.

@Jbcool If Decius shows up from where the prison scene occurs, he'd be on the lower floor, near Oskar and Vespin's entire squad of ratlings. Everyone else is on a catwalk, a full floor above them, and on the opposite side of the room, save Vespin who is in the middle. Also of note, the room is large, and Vespin has an auto-cannon trained on the other two space marines.

Character Sheet

I've decided to try something a little different with this RP, and it is thus;

Could you please write about your character in prose form, it can be as long as you like, but must include the important details – those being things such as their name, possibly their age, what they look like (clothes, weapons, etc), belief systems, where they come from, and anything else you feel might be important.

You can simply write about them, include everything in a short story about them, however you see fit really - just please make sure to keep it as detailed as possible; these sheets will likely be altered with story progression, so keep this in mind when writing them.

Please PM them to me when you are done, and I look very much forward to reading them.

P.S.

If you want somewhere definite to end your sheet/story/profile, then when they became a mercenary - and all that it entails to them and those around them - would be a good place.

Other than that you can also carry on right up to the 'present', it's up to you.

Something I forgot to mention, but might seem obvious - this is an 'Advanced' RP.

That means that I won't be accepting images of characters, and that I would like detail people!

I don't mind if you take a while to write the profile, or if it's quality over quantity, as long as it's a coherent profile in which things such as their personality, weapon(s), clothing and the like are covered.
