Roxy ignored the invitation to help herself to the food. She moved as far from the food as she could. Nothing was free. There was a price attached. Until she knew what it was she wasn't touching anything. This situation was too unpredictable. There was no telling what this odd old man was capable of. He seemed to have more information than anyone here which made here which made her wonder how he knew so much.

"I am the guardian of the gems. It is my job to guide you. You were chosen because something about you matches the gem you received. The gems have many powers. Most you haven't discovered yet. These powers come with great responsible. Unfortunately once you have been chosen there is no going back to the live you once had." Gem told them. He studied them. There reactions to each other would tell him how they would work together.

"Cecilia and Ivory will be paired up. James and Neemious. Will be paired up for our next activity. We want you to use your powers if you can. We want you to use this activity to get to know someone. Making connections is just as important as learning to control your powers. You will ask the person you are paired with. Learn about them and their life. Then create a picture to represent what you've learned." The counselors explained in unison.

"Umm... It's ok. I'm used to odd. I believe you've met my sister. If I can deal with anyone. You can have yourchoice of beds." Kyle answered gently. He wasn't sure what to think of a boy who talked to and about himself. But he was adaptable. He had to be.

"The helmets are safe. Many classes have used them with no adverse effects. When you arrive you will need to respond quickly. Things are already in motion." Mimic told the new arrivals. Technology made people nervous. Especially when it messed with your mind the way the simulation helmets did. But so far no one had been harmed by them.

A several tank rolled into the area. Soldiers began pouring out of them. They didn't start helping the people that were in the burning buildings. Nor did they stop the looters. Instead they targeted the mutants. They didn't use regular guns. They used lasers, freeze guns, flamethrowers, and other nonconventional weapon available to them. It was clear that they thought the students were a threat.

Really? None of you have a character you want to interact with. I allow you to choice partners because I expect you to WANT to. But if you have no opinion or idea of who you want to interact with them there is no point. I'll just have the counselors appoint partners from now on.
