“And who are you to give me orders without even knowing what are my intentions?” Aegis said to the girl that had intercepted her. The blonde brought one of her hands to her hips while the other held her book bag over her shoulder with a strong grip. If these signs of her displeasure after being interrupted by a corrupted magical girl weren’t enough for the other girl to notice Aegis’ state of mind, certainly the piercing glare coming off the blonde’s honey-colored eyes would be.

“If you do not want what happened yesterday to repeat itself, you’d better stand aside,” Aegis threatened in a less than amicable voice. whether or not the other girl got her idea right, was none of Aegis’ business.

Anyone who saw the state of Chie’s body as well as her amok behavior in the last few days could be understandably confused by the red-haired girl’s current self. After all, Chie had reverted to her reserved persona as soon as she stepped inside the sacred halls of education of Miso City High.

However, if someone wished to discuss anything with Chie, they would have to find her at the Nurse’s office, which was where she headed just before the classes were about to begin. It would be much better to stand the day feigning that she had some lingering injuries than taking classes at the risk of one of the light magical girls (who infested the school right now) forcing her into an improper mindset. Especially when there were much greater forces at work right now.

This blew up pretty fast, huh?

Even though I'm involved in more than a few other RPs right now, I'll see about having an idea for this. Hopefully, in the next few days.
@SimpleWriter

Your idea seems pretty good. We will be moving to the OOC before the end of this week, then @TheWindel and I will give you a final evaluation.
Lancer

Though brief, the battle that ensued before her eyes gave Brynhildr a very good grasp at the other Servants’ capabilities. In fact, Rider was one that she was able to identify without much difficulty, given that he was a brave warrior of the twilight of the Age of the Gods, one of the many that she had looked over personally while performing her duty as a Chooser of the Slain. Not only that, but all the information gathered in these brief moments would prove to be incredibly valuable in the continuation the war.

“Master, get ready to leave. We have acquired enough information for the time being. However, I would like to track those familiars back to their origin if you are--” Lancer was about to conclude her telepathic report to her Master and leave to a more secluded vantage point when Assassin finally noticed her, derailing the silver-haired Servant’s train of thought momentarily. “Please, remain on your guard, Master. As long as you keep your magic circuits closed they are unlikely to notice you as well. Nevertheless, if you believe you are in danger, don’t hesitate to call me,” Lancer said to her Master in the brief moment that it took for her spiritual body to materialize.

“Apologies for the intrusion, Rider and Assassin, it really seems that old habits die hard, especially for Heroic Spirits,” Lancer said after summoning her spear whose blade reflect the moonlight in a nigh supernatural way, in a way similar to her burnished mithril armor. Her hair swayed back and forth in the nocturnal breeze as she said, “Rest assured that both your skills and bravery have touched me. Especially you, King of Strategists. I never would have expect to have the honor of meeting such a prominent hero of the Age of the Gods in a battlefield of this era. And you, Assassin, though I may not know much about your history, your swordplay swayed my heart.”

Following her greetings to the other Servants, Lancer turned toward the Masters, “While I’m not interested in your modern Magi politics, I’ll hereby greet you in my Master’s stead. Furthermore, in honor of the bravery of your Servants, I ask you to not command them to press on any retaliation tonight. I respect your decision to join forces, nevertheless, I would prefer to face your Servants in a duel, when I’m not the only one at an information advantage. I can promise you two days before I begin to hunt you down; if you know your craft as Magi, you should be able to discern at least some information regarding my identity by that time. If you agree, I shall take my leave at this very moment. Otherwise, I can give you a demonstration of the power I command here and now.”

Time passes, lives come and go away, but the world of the humans remains largely the same on the bigger scale no matter how many eons elapse. She should have known it. No, she knew it but chose to ignore nonetheless because… “Maybe, just maybe I thought I could have made a difference. To prevent something like this from happening. But no, I failed to do even the simplest things. To keep my own word,” she thought as she stood before a small unmarked grave. Unmarked, yes, because no one knew the name of the one who now rested in it forever and ever.

“I should have known that something like this could -- no, would -- happen. What good is this power that I have if I couldn’t protect even a small smile. Much less...” Aegis kept her introspection to herself as she looked around, seeing all the fresh graves and and all those crying for those they lost in the eve of a time of new beginnings. “But this is will change from now on. I’ll end this… no matter the cost. But first, there’s one thing I must do,” she finished her thoughts, left an offering of a freshly-bought yakisoba bread as well as some flowers on the nameless grave before walking away from the crowded cemetery to track the sole reason of why she came to this world beginning by the place she could feel the greatest concentration of corruption in the whole city: Miso City High School.
