Tatiana turned her head slightly as she heard Ray fall down and gave a concerned look for a moment before she spotted several rushing over to help him. Taking note he seemed to be alright she glanced up at Jack as he spoke and giggled lightly like a dove as she curled her head beneath his chin and leaned against him. "Do not change thing," she said sweetly as she wrapped her arms around him. She was just glad he seemed excited about everything. Their lives seemed to e falling into place and right then she didn't think she could ever be happier. Funny how things had worked out but she was not going to complain. This was their home now and they were living. Not just surviving.

Looking over at Meg she let go of Jack for a moment and pulled her in for a big hug. "Dhank you! For every thing!" she exclaimed happily. Letting her go she went back over to Jack and whispered against his ear, asking him a question. She made sure to keep her excitement in check to keep her voice down so only he heard her. She didn't want everyone to know what she was saying right then. Granted with the commotion of Ray falling it wasn't exactly quiet right then. And people were changing shifts, so some were coming and some were leaving.

Which she wished wasn't the case but she understood. Not everyone could stay the entire time. they had to keep the place safe on top of wedding. Yes, the wedding for her and Jack and many people thought it was all about the bride but Tatiana had wanted to do all of this because she felt the town deserved a time, at least a moment, when things were like they used to be before the outbreak. She was the towns counselor now and part of that included taking care of people's morale. She knew she couldn't make everyone happy but she figured something like this would do a world of good for a lot of people. Let them see that you could live and not just survive. She could have just kissed Jack, they could have just man and wife now. There were no laws and she wasn't particularly religious, especially after everything she had lived through. But this was about more than two people getting married, this was about hope, and the future. She hoped her and Jack showed others there was more out there than just surviving, that there was a chance for a future and that it was worth the risk.

Helping Ray to his feet Ryan chuckled.

"Fuck, don't worry about it man. Sure it was funny as fuck but damn, everyone falls. Listen. Just yesterday I was out checking on the medical garden green house, and what do I see? That fucking orange furball just strutting down the side walk like he owned the damn place. Well, his ass hit a damn slick spot and he spun out. tried to get up and run but ended up running in place. Looked like a damn cartoon before he spun out again and went ass first right into a snow bank. I never laughed so hard in me fuckin' life. Then he got up and acted like it never happened before dashing off. And he's got four legs. Yours was a straight fall, seems you are better off than that orange tabby," Ryan laughed as he told the story and picturing that damn cat in his mind all over again.

"Yeah, no problem. He can pick my ass up and help me stumble home tossed this evening," he said towards those that were thanking him before giving Chloe a bit of a wink. Now that that was taken care of he looked around and took note of what was there and who wasn't.

"Now, where to sit, where to sit. Who should we bug," he mused. Getting hit in the arm got his attention and he shrugged, shoving a rib between his lips before strutting off after her and plopping down in a seat before she could and patting his lap. Nearly choking on the bone while he laughed he pulled out the chair next to him for her and went to eating and drinking.

"Yeah, go ahead," she said to James before she went back to eating. Sana was knowing for eating quickly but it looked like she was on a mission to shovel it away as quickly as possible before high tailing it out there. Her eyes staying on the door the entire time as she chewed her food.

"Well Mr. James. I must say this is brilliant food this evening," Miss Sally commented lightly as she placed her fork down and wiped her hands on her napkin.

"Yes, very good. Even if it is American," Lyon said before laughing deeply. He liked to pick at people about being American these days. Sana glanced over towards him out of the corner of her eyes and shot him a look. Lyon sighed. "Sorry," he said before looking over at James and winking. Sana was no longer a duchess in the making, that was for sure, but Lyon still treated her like one from time to time. When she got "that look" it really kicked in. Yet it was one of the reasons when he saw her with Richard it made his skin crawl.

"So what's the damn deal with the new woman?" Sana finally asked. She knew better than to ask Richard about Zoie, so he sure as hell wasn't going to ask about Thana. Miss Sally cocked a brow as she picked up her glass and took a drink.

Location: Two miles west of Newnan, in the snow.
Interacting With: Ravi

"Cause you Brits are located closer to the Nazi's than the great state of Texas!" Gavin guffawed. "Tell ya what, next time you start it and I'll be your bitch," he said before giving Ravi a wink and wrapping his arm around his best bud shoulder.

Then he got back to the song. "Look, it's time to face the music. Bye bye! Don't slam the door! This is the last duet. Last chance you're gonna get, no more a harmony for you and me!!! This is the last duet I'll ever doing!"

The two must have been a sight. Gavin was traipsing through three feet of snow, cowboy hat on, a shot gun under one arm, a Brit under the other, and belting out the last duet with the body of a walker being left in the distance as they made their way towards the sound they had heard earlier. Gavin, was having a blast. He loved doing stupid shit like this. Sure there were walkers out there but even if there hadn't been snow he probably would still be singing. Sure it wasn't the brightest thing in the world but Gavin would be damned if he stopped having fun because of a few dead walking around trying to make them an all you could eat Golden Coral Buffet.

"Like a damn tent revival in a carnival side show," Atticus said as he watched the captain, his eyes focused on Gene and saying a little prayer that the woman would keep her mouth silent. Though perhaps he should have said a little prayer that Foy would as well. The man was going on about a hair cut right then. He couldn't quite tell if the man was being serious but from the look in his eyes he could only assume he was. That made him question if the man was sane, or if he had inhaled too much aftershave.

It seemed that Atticus was not the only one that was left gobsmacked. Gene had looked as if she was about to spout off again but the look on her face showed utter confusion. As did the Captains as she slowly turned her head and glanced over her shoulder back towards him. It was a rare thing to see the Captain confused but it seemed to keep anyone from being shown the firing end of her side arm.

Anisa blinked a few times before noticing Dorothy standing there. "Take her to her quarters, she will remain there until we land," Anisa said flatly towards Dorothy before giving Gene a warning look as if to dare her to try anything else. Holstering her side arm she turned on her heels walking away from the rec room and over towards the Foyer where Atticus was standing half finished.

"Get that shit cleaned up before we land," she said motioning towards his head as she passed them and kept walking, heading to towards the next deck. Atticus coughed slightly as he watched her walk off and then looked over towards Foy.

"The Lord works in fucking mysterious ways and you my good sir are a goddamn mystery," Atticus said confused before giving Foy a well earned pat on the shoulder. "And one I am fucking thankful for."

Was hoping to keep it open so that people would link in new ones for me to add as they come in, if that is alright. Would keep the mods from having to lock and unlock it as more needed to be added. Put it together so that people would have an easier time finding what they needed and to see what was already out there in the articles and guides section. It's not done yet (have only gone through a couple of pages but covered the last couple of years of guides so far) - Figured it might be a good idea to ask if it could be pinned so it doesn't get pushed down and lost in the shuffle. (Would kind of defeat the point.)

If not, no worries. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

I wouldn't say that. Thing is that policing the activity or lack of activity in this case should be left up to Rpers and Gm's and shouldn't need to be the job of moderators.

My system works for me, I wouldn't expect it to work for others.

I don't auto deny people in an RP unless there is a major issue. (Flaking I don't consider a major issue.) In fact I only have 1 person on the forum currently that I would never allow in an RP of mine again and that isn't because of flaking. Do I have a list of people that have flaked out in the past or been kicked? Sure do. Doesn't mean they won't get another chance, just means things will be worked on if they join another. If I see they are already stretching themselves thin, I will ask them about it. I have had plenty drop Rp's without word and join one of mine.

I have had plenty of people step down from Rp's and come back later if they couldn't post for whatever reason (creativity, stretched too thin, illness, etc). For me I just expect those that join my Rp's personally to keep me in the loop. If they drop, just let me know. I don't hold that against people. I've had to drop Rp's I have been in for various reasons - thing is I don't just vanish, I let the GM know in the OOC.

I wouldn't expect any Gm to hold their Rpers in their Rp's to my rules, or visa-versa . That would be ludicrous. It's like hearing my kids go "Well Tommy's mom lets him!" if I tell them no on something - Yeah, well I am not Tommy's mom. Same goes for RP. People know what they are getting into when they join an Rp of mine, I hardly leave anything to guess in terms in rules and expectations. If they agree to it, then they can join. Then I make sure they are be held to it. Not only for my sanity but for the sake of my Rps and the other Rpers.

Again, I think it boils down to the Rpers and the GM's and for them to handle it as they see fit. Each GM is different, each will lay out the rules they want, they will enforce them as they see fit. Personally I see it as their right as a GM, they are taking the time and effort to put forth the RP. Once I step into another persons RP I am not in charge - That GM is God in that world. I don't like it, I can leave. I stay, I as an RPer am under an obligation to follow their rules. (Doesn't matter if that is post every day or sit there wearing a tea cozy on my head while I post and include a picture of it.) Their house, their rules.

Sure, we can work with people and most of us GM's do. We give reminders when people need to post, give them extensions if something comes up, we are there if they need to step out for a bit, we shelve their characters for a time if need be or bunny them off scene, we work them back in when they come back. Over time we learn their work schedules, when they have exams, when they get sick, who they just broke up with, even when their is a death in the family. Most Gm's are secondary advisors to their Rpers behind the scenes. We do what we can so an Rper is better for being in our RP.

But this all really boils down to Etiquette, that is something that I personally feels need to be taught more in Rp's but again, I don't believe that is a mod job. Hence why I am against a system that marks people for flaking out. If a Gm wants to set a standard that states you can't have flaked out before for any reason - that is up to them. Do I think it is a good idea? No, but then again, not my RP. For me, my rules are out there, they agree to them I'll work with them as long as they follow the rules they agreed to when they stepped into my RP.

As you said we need to work with Rpers and yes we do - each Gm should work with their Rpers - Their Rpers are what keeps the story going. Gm's need to let their Rpers know that if something comes up that their Rpers can tell them about it. Most Gm's won't hold it against someone if they leave as long as they are told. Takes all of five seconds to post in OOC or pm the Gm and say - Hey, I need to step down for a bit. Granted there is a vast difference between going ghost and pulling out of an RP.

Without more mods and people able to do that, it is really an out of the ballpark thing - even if we did have enough people (unbiased) to fill the roll it could still be massively abused.

Thing is, if we want to see this type of "flaking" out stop, that is up to us as the Rpers and GM's. If you join an Rp and you see someone else join that has been a flaker in the past - tell the GM. Part of being an active Rper is to inform your GM via Pm when something goes wrong so they can handle it.

If you are a Gm and you run into someone new, check their history, and contact a previous GM of theirs. That's part of the responsibility you are taking on as a GM. As a Gm, they set the rules - they have to enforce them. If they aren't then might need to find a new GM.

I hate to say it but no system is going to take place of Rpers and Gm's keeping a watchful eye out on things. All it will do is create even more work and issues down the line. It is a good idea in theory but in practice, it just doesn't work. Been there and done that Admining and Moderating RP forums for decades. I have seen the warning systems, for something like this they just are not practical or effective. Warning systems are great for a moderator team in general - that way one mod knows when and why another mod warned a person. But that is for general RP rules only. For lack of posting, flaking, or disappearing - it just isn't a good thing.
