⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

@Morose Please get a post in today for at least Virginia. I didn't mean that you could go over the counter, just that you could wait until the update. Though because I was not clear on that, it's okay this time. That was on me. Just need that in so that mnkee and Sigil can reply as well before their counters run up anymore.

Barracks: Aziza glanced over towards Josephine and smiled a bit, giving her a small nod. "I hope you are right," she said, still not sure about Haakon but Josephine seemed kind enough and had been a shoulder for her in the hotel the night before. She was more likely to trust her in time. At Haakon's words though she perked a brow and her lips thinned. "If that is how you take rejection of an... oh how do the British say... Pie Crust Promise, then perhaps you are," she said coldly and firmly. Her voice raising somewhat to ensure he heard her as he stormed off like a child who had just been told he couldn't go out in play in the rain.

Shaking her head she felt a hand on hers. Looking over towards Harry her demeanor softened a bit and she let out long breath. Thank you," she said gratefully. Not only for the offer to help her find something to eat but the chance to get away from the table for a minute or two. Rising from her place as Sgt. Walsh held her hand her eyes fell on the Lord Major who had come to join them. Her eyes darting towards Haakon and his escort for a moment, worry in them before she looked back over towards Reginald and let loose the bottom of her lip which she had been unknowingly biting on. "Good morning, please excuse us. The sergeant here was just about to help me chose my breakfast," she said in voice that was a bit nervous. Swallowing the lump in her throat she looked over towards Josephine and Lauren.

"Ladies, will be just a minute. Excuse me," she added as her fingers laced Harry's, feeling more comfortable with him than anyone else in the room currently, save the Lord Major whom she had known for quite sometime. Looking back over to Harry she smiled. "Lead the way." Her voice a bit softer and kinder than it had been as she waited for him to escort her to the buffet and explain just what bubbles and squeak where.

In the meantime Peter escorted Vera down to the main garden within the base over looking the Nile. Vera knew what this was about, she was sure of it and she could feel the butterflies in her stomach fluttering away. Why was she so nervous about this? She had all but agreed to it years ago. Sure time had passed but she hadn't grown close to anyone since then had she? A thought of William went through her mind. He was very handsome, and charming if you liked that sort of rakish attitude. Yet thinking about the night before she found herself sighing. He was the type that would never see someone like her as anything more than a passing conquest.

No, she had to stop being nervous about this. Peter was kind, handsome even with the scar on his face. He let her be who she was without question, supported her, always had. He was titled, proper, a fitting match. The ton would be all up about an engagement between the two but it was a right match and it would cause no scandal. Yes, of course Peter was the right choice. There wasn't even a choice. It wasn't like Mr. Drake cared about her, he just enjoyed tormenting her. Like a school boy pulling on her pig tails. Then why oh why couldn't she stop thinking about the way it felt for him to have his arm around her? Warm, inviting, exciting even. While as Peter lead her to the courtyard she felt nothing but a fond affection. "Stop it Vera, this is right and will make both Peter and Uncle Regi most happy." she thought to herself.

Peter lead her over towards one of the trees and brought them both into the shade. "Vera, I have something I have been meaning to ask you," he said softly as he took her hand and caressed it softly. Holding it with his own as his fingers trailed over it. Vera suddenly felt very sick....

At the gate the guard cocked a brow and nodded. "Lord Major Keystone, yes he is in. If you would, present your identification, remove any arms to be stowed, and state your reason for the visit," the guard said before his attention got diverted as another man came up and pushed his way to the front. "See here sir, we do not tolerate that sort of misconduct here," the guard said, clearly vexed with the situation.

"Sorry, sorry," the man said breathlessly. "I was sent by the warden, most urgent. I need to speak with the Lord Major," he said holding out a notice. The guard took it and his eyes skimmed it over before nodding and tucking it into his front pocket. "Right, of course. Arms here, you come with me as well. Might as well kill two birds with one stone," the guard said towards William. "Men, lock down for now. No one else enters or leaves without the Lord Majors expressed permission," he ordered the rest at the gate. After a moment of waiting to ensure neither of the men were armed, he escorted them with an additional soldier through the grounds of the barracks.

As they came into the courtyard and the officers main hall was in sight so was Vera and Peter. Vera looked rather nervous, glancing around as if she was trying to make a decision on something. "Vera darling, do you accept my proposal?" Peter asked as he stepped towards her and leaned in, pulling her closer as his arm slipped around her waist. Biting her bottom lip Vera tried to muster up the courage to answer, that was until her eyes fell on William. She froze, and Peter cocked a brow. Turning his head slightly to see what had caused Vera's sudden statue like demeanor.

Garden City: Neema relaxed herself in a seat and took her time preparing the tea for the both of them. Once that was done, she turned her attention for Nora's finger. Removing the small bandage and checking it over. The branding seemed to be healed this morning. While a scar still remained, the fire in it was gone. The bandage where it had touched the brand left a mark in the shape of the brand, as if it had been burned into it with acid of some sort. "Ah yes, much better. Much better indeed. Keep it open for now, let it breath. Tonight and each night for the next week, apply what I have given you and wrap it while you sleep," she instructed Nora before settling back in her chair and handing over a cup of tea to her host.

"It seems you are about to embark on your very own. But yes, I will when we have a moment but please, continue. Tell me of your dreams." Neema seemed excited about the possibility of telling her own tales, something her son never wished to hear and others dismissed. Yet she was there to help if she could and she was indeed interested in these dreams that Nora spoke of. As she listened she sipped on her tea and kept her eyes trained on Nora. Like a student fully enchanted with the teachers lecture for the day.

"Oh my, that is quite the dream," she exclaimed as Nora finished and leaned forward. "Tell me, are these two you speak of. What do you know about them? The Journalist, is this one very determined? What about the American? Endearing and proud? You, I know you. Open-minded, practical, logical. Yes, my dear. I know what corner of the pyramid you are. You are the Nile itself. Let me guess, you were born either in January, June, September, or November. Considering you hold so many of the traits, I would say you belong to the first cycle. Yes, you were born in January. Between the 1st and the 7th."

Shepheard's Hotel: The desk clerk looked up from the paper work he was dealing with and put on a smile for the lady standing before him. As he spoke his accent was heavy but it was manageable. "Why yes Miss. I do indeed. Welcome to the Shepheard's Hotel." His voice was kind and rather excitable. He looked her over but only for a moment, he had seen women dressed as she before. In fact it was starting to become the rage for some of them it seemed. Slacks were welcome when dealing with the sands of Egypt. Though most did not think it was right for women to wear them, he did not care. As long as people payed and behaved themselves in his hotel. "I am the day manager. Please, call me Hakeem."

Looking back down, he pulled out the registrar and flipped the pages over slowly. "Let me see, we have been rather busy as of late." His finger went over the pages, one by one. "Ahh yes, we do have a room. The former patrons just checked out this morning. It is in the middle of cleaning and restocking." Looking up he smiled towards her and handed her a registration card to fill out. "Yes, if you could just fill this out for me, name, age, the like. How long you intend to stay, and so forth. It will not be until this afternoon that the room is ready but we can stow your belongings until then and have them delivered to the room once it is ready if you would like."
@Nallore Yeah, will make the edit.
@Morose Why I always read ic before ooc. This group couldn't keep a secret if I paid them to.
@FantasyChic Up to you since you clarified here - if you want to find another reason, or that it was the first one, or that the girl wasn't dressed as Alliance - whatever works. Or can keep it and run with it.
@FantasyChic Ahh okay, yeah. You can tell - Though I should have probably clarified that it wasn't the only Alliance ship. That's on me. Thing that got me was saying this -

In terms of information, it was sparse, but it was a lead. However small a lead it was, she had to follow it. Her best bet just left the ship.

Sounded like she had information about the Retribution.
@FantasyChic - Um, wondering what information she has. I mean about the ship - it is a black ship, so it was well established that there was nothing on the ship anywhere. O.o
I think we can safely say no one saw this shit coming LOL

The white tiger looked over at Elizaveta and rubbed the side of his face against her shoulder, giving her affection as a house cat would its owner. The Grand Duchess smiled gently at him as she continued to run her gloved hand through his fur. Looking over at Virginia, Elizaveta motioned for her to come closer. "Dank you, please come here. You may pet him, he von't bite. He just a big softy," she said confidently, welcoming Virginia to get closer to them both. Granted he could bite, there was always that chance but Myska was a good tiger; he rarely did anything without good reason and Virginia didn't seem the type to try to harm him or his owner, so she felt it was safe enough to invite her over.

"Dah, of course," Veta said to Mary as she asked to go about her duties. It would probably be for the best. They needed to get things done and she personally needed to get to her work if she was to be able to save what souls she could from turning. The skill Mary tried to use revealed nothing at that time. It seemed that things were in the clear for now, at least one hoped that was the case.

Elizaveta's eyes darted over at the new comer as he came into the room. It seemed he wasn't taking the fact that there was a tiger in the room very well, weapon drawn and all. Myska's head turned and eyed him like he was a slab of meat, licking his chops as he watched Thalken. "Myska, nyet," she said firmly and one could have sworn the tiger pouted a bit and whimpered at her command. Shaking her head slightly she kept her eyes on Thalken. "He von't harm you. That is, unless you try to harm me." Her voice was calm and steady as she spoke but it was firm, a warning given. Her eyes never leaving his even as she heard another voice, a very familiar one.

It wasn't until Vlad was at them and scolding Myska did her attention leave Thalken and go to her uncle. "Myska..." she said, drawing out her pets name. "Chto ty sdelal na etot raz?" she asked the cat, wondering just what he had done this time. Shaking her head just once she tapped him on the nose but it didn't seem to bother Myska. He just let out a long yawn before stretching out his front paws and laying down fully, his head resting in Elizaveta's lap like he was a lap dog.

"Dyadya, Ne tak uzh trudno na Myska. On khorosho govorit." She couldn't help but let out a bird like chortle as she spoke. Telling Vlad not to be so hard on poor little Myska, that he just meant well. Yet she understood Vlad's speech to the cat. He had caused trouble more than once when Veta was not around. But to her he was just a baby still, a 625 pound baby that could rip the crowd to pieces in a blink of an eye but a baby nonetheless.

"Please, help me to my feet," she said softly as she held her hand out to him, she knew with the weight of Myska's head in her lap it would take more effort. "Lady Crypt, please, let me introduce my dear uncle Vlad, better known as The Great Bazhooli."

Doctor Graham was glad for the help as they moved Mrs. Wyndham through the crowds, most of them clearing out quickly thanks to the new arrival of a tiger. One he didn't see since they came in afterwards and were at the other end of the long corridor. His attention was on his patient, nothing else. Emma following closely behind them. "I... well thank you Sir Kildragon but our family is under the protection of the Earl now. We shouldn't be needing any aide after this." Emma was shaky in her voice. It wasn't clear if it was the fact of Fyror's scar and appearance or just the rose tinted glasses she looked at the world through when it came to the higher nobles. It could be taken either way.

Once through the front door, Dr. Graham with the help of Fyror moved Mrs. Wyndham over to open aired carriage and were able to get her quickly laid down there on top of the glass still. "Ahh girl, never turn down a friend," he muttered slightly before motioning for her to climb in as well. "Thank you Sir Kildragon. I believe we have it from here and the orderlies should tend to every thing once we reach the hospital. Please, go tend to your family. They are probably fretting over where you are at this time." His voice was kind and he gave the young man a pat on the shoulder before leaning in. "Whether Miss Jones wants your help or not, do be kind and see to Miss Wyndham come morning. I am sure she would welcome a visit after everything," he said quietly. He had seen them dance together and how she reacted to Rutherford. "Come see me at my office tomorrow afternoon please," he added as he righted himself and passed Fyror his card. He was a standing physician at the hospital but kept a private office for his day to day patients near Hyde Park.

Climbing into the carriage he told the driver to get going. Emma watching Fyror for a moment before turning her attention to her mother as Dr. Graham did what he could to keep the woman still for the journey. He would have liked Fyror to come help but he knew he was there with his family, seeing them enter together. That and there was just no room at this point for another to give a hand. It would have made things far too cumbersome.

Port Annan, Scotland - Teriny Inn

Maeve's room was set up and ready to go for the evening. A simple but comfortable bed was along one wall along with a dresser. There was a standing mirror in the room near the window as well as a screen that could be used to separate the rest of the room from the steaming bath that had been drawn for her by Nigel's wife. Also in the room was a tray of fruit, some biscuits, and tea for the evening. Towels were laid out on a stool next to the claw foot tub and lavender petals were floating in the water giving off a calming scent. A bar of lye soap was sitting on the top of the towels will a rolled up terry cloth piece of fabric to be used for washing.

Looking out the window she would be able to see the moon hanging high in the night sky and out over the lush green fields to the north of town. She was not plagued with the south view that looked out towards the town and the dock. Downstairs there was a crashing noise one could only imagine was Calum.

"By George boy, what has gotten into you!" Nigel asked as he pulled up a chair and sat down. Looking down on Calum as he la sprawled out on the ground, again! "You have always had two left feet boy but this? Like you are a babe tryin' to walk fer the first time."

Calum sighed as he leaned back against the bed and just remained where he was. "Oh fuddle.... I am truly sorry Nigel. It is just, well she, I mean Miss O'Connor, well isn't she just the prettiest thing to ever grace this town?" he said bashfully. Nigel raised a furry brow and chuckled.

"Well I'll be damned," Nigel chuckled. That explained everything.

Kyra & Sana

Location: Cross Swords Tavern
Interacting With: Satilla, Nor, Thomas, Keystone
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kyra shook her head slightly. "No, not yet but from the looks of it, I haven't missed much," she said eying the plate skeptically. She had had food in this tavern before and while it wasn't royal dining, this was below even their previous standards. She'd hold out a while longer. If Keystone pulled what he did the night before he would cook something and she'd rather wait and see if there was enough for her to grab some before testing the yolks of runny eggs.

Nor seemed okay with her answer, so that would do for now. At least until Keystone and Sana got down there. She had no idea where Njat had taken off to or Cyneberg for that matter. Maybe the two hooked up or decided to seek adventure elsewhere. Either way she hadn't seen them since before everyone turned in the night before and she hadn't seen them while she was out and about either. So she would stick with what or who in this case she did know was still around. Satilla, Keystone, Sana, herself, this new guy Nor, and perhaps Thomas. (That was if he didn't try to kill Sana again.)

Sana looked at Keystone, watching him as he made his way to the door. Her hand going up quickly but before she could get the words out the door was closed and he was on the other side of it. "Key...nevermind," she said to herself. Maybe he would find a tree or at least a dark corner. That was until she heard the steady flow of morning relief. Her jaw dropped a bit but then something itched at the back of her mind and she jumped out of bed, getting dressed quickly in her winter attire.

Hearing Thomas she looked over to him and cocked a brow. Okay the kid really needed to work on his cover up techniques when it came to not speaking about things but at least he was actually trying. "Riiiiight. Sure, we can help you learn about all the fruits in the basket..." she started to say but was cut off by a sound. Her eyes slowly drifted up and over to the over looking hallway of room doors. Her eyes widening a bit as she found herself staring right at Keystone's ass end. "Oh my god...." she choked out as she grabbed her bow.

It took Sana less time than normal to dress, not bothering with the majority of her items and only slipping on her pants and boots quickly as she could since she already had her tunic on, having slept in it. Swinging the door open she found herself looking dead at Keystone just to her side. "I knew it! That was you that was pissing out the window that morning!" she said quickly as her arms crossed over her chest. She jumped a bit as a piece of hard bread came sailing through the air with pin point accuracy and hit Keystone in the back of the noggin.
