⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Justice Asylum: - Marc cocked a brow slightly. "I'm not taking statements, he is," he said motioning over to the Lead SWAT team member. Marc wondered just how backwards things went here. Sure he was FBI but this kidnapping wasn't part of the FBI investigation officially, yet. this scene was under the jurisdiction of the city for now.

"Yes, that would be me you all need to report to before you leave this building," the Swat Leader stated frankly. He hoped they had heard them before they left the scene. "They work for the city?" he asked a bit confused.

"The girl does, not sure what the others are when it comes to this," Marc admitted before looking back over to Iris as she came back with the copies of the records. "Thank you," he said softly, his tone changing a bit as he flipped through them again and then pulled out his card and handed it over to her. Leaning in he whispered against her ear. "I'll find her, I promise," he said quietly before righting himself. He had a look of determination and sincerity in his eyes.

At the murder scene things were wrapping up, things were bagged and tagged and they were just waiting on Cecily to sign off so they could turn over the scene back to the hospital for clean up. Marc took the files and tucked them under his arm before bidding the doctor a good evening and wishing her good luck. Stepping down the hall now that his duties were finished, giving his statement and what not, he made his way downstairs and out the building. Once outside he pulled out his phone to dial Riley's number, hoping she would pick up. He had run off on her and now he didn't know where she was. Things had finally calmed down and he hoped she was okay. He figured she had gone with Felix to the hospital and he had to wonder if the man was still alive. Maybe Riley could give some answers.

Though it seemed someone else was trying to call him as he got a ring from an unknown number. Cocking a brow he answered it. "Agent Tinder, who is this?" he asked, not knowing Riley was using a burner phone.

Zoies Farm: - Zoie looked over at Mali as she came in. "A little," she admitted before stepping over to the woman and taking a look at the books that she had chosen. "Seems ya found a few that gots yer interest," she said looking over the titled before heading over to the cabinet to get a glass out.

"That one on Kalabsha is pretty dang interestin'. It was constructed for Mandulis. Nubian version of Horus," she said as she grabbed a glass and walked over to the faucet; filling it with water as she continued. "The temple had to be moved b'cause it was constantly being flood because of a dam that were built. Probably a good thang to. If Mandulis was actually Horus, well - the Wadjet ended up being associated with others as well. Ones of them be Bastet and well cats don't be liking waters from what I knows," she said with a shrug as she walked over to the table and sat down.

"Any reasons why yours checking those out?" she asked before taking a long drink of water.

Safehouse - Roy chuckled a bit. "You, get into trouble? Never," he said with a smirk as he started to go through the supplies that Riley had brought over to him. As she asked who else, he looked around and sighed a bit.

"Oh, two others from your building. They just moved into town. Lucas and Risa," he said before leaning back in his seat a bit and trying to take the pressure off his side without stretching it out too much. "Risa was supposed to be recovering after an attack but they headed out a while ago. I haven't heard from them since they left. Hope they are okay. No one has answered the phone I gave them and with this city, that usually means something bad has happened," he said before shaking his head a bit.

"You're welcome," he said as he looked over to her when she thanked him. "My job, you know, that whole protect and serve line. Serving is a bit lacking but trying my damnedest to protect these days," he said before he started to unwrap what Riley had done in the car and clean out the stab wound, hissing from between clenched teeth as he did. Glancing at his phone he hoped he would hear back from Cecily soon, he wanted to be sure she wasn't in as bad a shape as he was.

Justice Memorial - Natasha was feeling the fatigue and had been sent out of the OR to take a short break. Recovering from Cancer was not the easiest thing and today had been a lot more trying than ones she had grown accustomed to. Right then all she wanted to do was go home, crawl into bed, and curl up against Lincoln. She could, they didn't really need a second surgeon in there at this point but Felix was her patient and she had promised Riley she would send word to her.

Thinking about Riley she pulled out the number the girl had given her and dialed the phone, but it went straight to voice mail. Sighing she left a message. "Hey, it's Dr. Brinne. Surgery is still on going. We were not able to save the eye but we seemed to have been able to save the socket. He is stable and doing well. The surgery should last another four hours and then recovery. I will keep you posted. Have a good night," she said into the phone as she left the message before hanging up.

Rising from her spot she downed a cup of cold coffee in one gulp before making her way back to the scrub room. She had to rescrub, regown, and reglove before she could go back in. She wasn't taking any shortcuts and putting her patient at risk. He had been through enough that evening.
@Sputnik Okay, looks good - just the rank again - Lower class, not lower middle class. (Anyone associated with prostitutes auto fall under the lower class.)

Did you want to work out a relation with someone already in the RP? SO she would have ties to someone before entry?

@mnkee @morose - Okay, Sigil has posted - the roll was for the quick draw of Mary's pistol. Due to the roll and success of said roll (18) - she was able to draw her pistol before any reaction or sense of said roll would be able to take place. Now, you two are free to post at this time for Virginia and then Thalken or Mnkee can just post for Fyror and I can update for the entire RP. Up to you two, let me know and remember if anyone wishes to engage in weapon drawing or such at this point it would be considered a battle round and pm's would need to be made like before.
Don't be so hard on yourself - it was well above the required post length and it was a good post. Sometimes we just hit a block and don't get out what we wanted but hey it happens to us all. Trust me. You did good, don't doubt that.

On another note - peeps - spoke to Sigil and he will be posting tonight some time. So I will update the WN tomorrow for the whole RP.
Will be updating here tomorrow - was going to today but had my eldest son's birthday party today and I am B E A T.
#fuddling
@Morose Oh you're gonna have fun with this aren't you?
@Morose @mnkee - Virginia and Thalken are on hold for any actions period until after Sigil can post for Mary (a roll was called behind the scenes and you have to wait at this time.) - You may post for Fyror And Maeve in the meantime. (Which I know for your Morose is weird since Scotland was not updated - roll came out that nothing happened in Scotland, so you can do a dream, her thinking, not being able to sleep and going to ask for something to sleep - whathave you.)

Almack's, London

Elizaveta took a soothing breath and lifted her chin a bit, composing herself as she normally did after a vision had come to her. The more intense ones could be painful but those she could at least figure out something about them. The lesser ones, while rather painless left her mind foggy for a time and wondering what could they mean. The darkness and death she saw though made her shiver, it was never a good sign and she could only pray that events would cause enough of a ripple in time that they never came true or that one of the more prophetic ones would come at a later time to give her some clarity on the situation. There was always the third option. That neither would happen and what ever grim reaper was waiting in the shadows would come to claim another soul and there would be nothing she could do about it.

Turning her head she watched as Constatin darted away from the scene and towards the front door. Why had he come in to the building in the first place? Concerned? About what? Her brow rose slightly but she shrugged it off. If the carriage was gone she would be angry but she would poke fun of him for it, of course it would be stolen on his watch and she knew she would never let him live it down. Granted if the roles were reversed, he wouldn't have let her live it down either. Was the way of things between them. Outside, the carriage was not where it had been left, though on looking about it had been moved by the staff out of the way while others were getting into their own carriages and leaving the scene. No harm, no foul - This time.

In the ballroom things were as calm as one could expect with dead bodies laying on the ground and one still left impaled on a music stand. Not to mention Janes and Catherine's bodies who had been left unattended since Millicent was drug off and Mrs. Wyndham was carted off to the hospital. Not that anyone around Elizaveta had been made aware of the situation. Elizaveta wondered what had happened to the young woman for a moment but her attention was directed towards a woman who she had no meeting with. Lacing her fingers before her, she took a small delicate breath before she spoke. "I was not speaking to you, young lady. I was speaking to the gentleman. Unless he is unable to speak for himself and is a mute, don't ansver for him again vhen I speak to him. It is not your place or anyone's to speak for another. I vill trust nothing of vhat you say for I do not knov you and your lack manners dictate that I should not," she said in a decisive voice as Thalken ran off. She had no time for arrogance, especially from an over spoken twat like this woman was coming off as.

"Nov, if you vill please. Leave us be and take your snorting and eye rolling elsevhere." Turning her attention back to the fallen former leader of the Trained, she made the symbol of the cross before her chest and knelt beside him as she went into prayer for the mans soul. If he woman dared speak to her again after her dismissal she would feel sorry for her. She knew her uncle Vlad would not take well to the disruption.

Wyndham Manor, London

Cook looked over slowly to Gerard and sighed. She had been in the study with him the entire time speaking to Abigail and within ear shot. Perhaps he just had not been paying attention. She could not fault him for it, the house seemed to be turned upside down by Millicent's arrival in the state she had been. Perhaps it was best he had not been listening or was perhaps just unaware of what the women were speaking about. That was a possibility since these things were not normally discussed within ear shot of a man. Unless he had had personal dealings with such a situation it was very likely he was just uneducated in such things that dealt with womanhood.

Taking a deep breath she reached out and took his hand gently in hers. She would not hide anything from Gerard, he was like a son to her. All the younger people in the house were, even Emma and Jane despite the fact they tended to treat the staff like any other in the ton would. Millicent seemed to be the only one since her father that treated them as equals. How could she tell Gerard what had happened? Why Abigail was rushing to make a tea with Diachylon. It was all a bit much.

"Dear, please sit down," Cook said in a depressed voice as she patted the cushion of the couch next to her. Waiting for him to be seated before she continued. Once he was, she found it hard to explain. Not so much hard to explain but hard to actually say the words. It came broken and Cook found herself choking back tears of worry and anger. "She.. Miss Milli... violated... worst way... tea... Diachylon... try stop... unwanted birth..." - it took her a long time to get even though words to come out of her mouth before she grabbed the hem of her apron and pressed it to her mouth in a clump within her shaking fist. "How could someone to that poor child?" she wept. One could barely heard Abigail's feet climb the stairs of the home and the door to Millicent's room close as she was taken the tea Abigail had prepared.

Kyra & Sana

Location: Cross Swords Tavern
Interacting With: Satilla & Each Other
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kyra headed up to the room she barely used the night before and left it unlocked as she sat down at the table. Ash padding his way over and curling up at her feet with a large yawn. Rubbing her temples she wondered just what she was getting herself into at this point in time. It was a rag tag team that was put together and it seemed like everything that could go wrong was. If this kept up, they all were going to be dead - either by some foe or they were going to end up killing each other.

Looking up as she heard the door being pushed open she glanced up to see Sana carrying her stuff. "Figured that I would just go ahead and finish getting ready in here," she said as she plopped down on the bed and started lacing her bracers up. Kyra kept watching Sana with this look of what the fuck on her face. "What?"

"I'm the one that should be asking you that," Kyra said as she leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest.

Cocking a brow, Sana tilted her head to the side in question. "What do you mean by that?"

"Keystone."

Glancing down Sana tied off the lace on one of her bracers and started working on the other one. "What about him?"

"Oh don't even pull that with me. You know exactly what I am talking about," Kyra said in a bit of a huff as Sana tied off the other bracer and started putting her leather corset on over her tunic. Sana let out a sigh of relief as Satilla came into the room, it meant she didn't have to answer the question she was obviously avoiding.

Kyra shook her head slightly, she wasn't going to let this go. She wanted to know what was up but it seemed that it would have to wait. Looking over towards Satilla she motioned for the girl to go ahead and have a seat. "Like who gets what? I say a few healing and such get passed around but the majority of it stays with you. You are the healer, you are going to know better than the rest of us what is what and how to best use it."

Things for Dorothy were going well. There wasn't much found with either an Alliance or Retribution tag mixed in with what the crew was taking with them. What was found seemed to be simple over sights, small bar codes here or there that most wouldn't know to look for if they hadn't worked for the Alliance previously or were in a hurry. And those things were small - food stores, tools. Nothing major and it was easily removed. Thankfully it didn't seem like anyone was doing anything devious or to undermine the crew or its staff.

Anisa had a stern look on her face as she passed through the cargo with the buyer, who was trying to barter the price down heavily but Anisa being how she was was standing her ground. The woman didn't have time for fools and her patience had already been taxed for the day. She hoped to god that her crew finished up soon and they could get off this boat permanently. There would be no new hires or guests allowed until after the sale was complete and a new ship was purchased. Anisa didn't want anyone that didn't already know about the Retribution to see it and try to join up. It was just plain common sense to keep as few ties as possible. She was already taking a risk bringing on crew from the Retribution but the ones she had taken on seemed to have no strong ties and Dorothy had worked out for her.

Jahosafat looked up from going through Camilla's things as Anisa walked by, simply tipping his hat to her before going back to his memories. It wasn't until Foy came over that his focus seemed to be able to be fully distracted. "Why that sounds most welcome my dear sir. A night out on the town is just what I need to stiffen this upper lip. A round of cards sounds like a most delightful way to pass the evening. I do say, I hear the Captain is quite the good hand, as is that Revelations chap. Perhaps we should bring them along. We all could do with a bit of vice. And I wouldn't mind separating them from a few coins if you get my drift," he said as he rose from his spot and gave a broad grin. The thought was the first thing that brought out the light he was known for instead of the morose way he had been acting the last few days.

And there was just the spot in town. It was slumming it but some of the best games and highest stakes went down at this particular setting. Known as Lady Lucks (yeah, you know you're screwed now don't you?) - The place catered to the largest wallets and the most shady of characters. A three story building set between the lowest and most crime ridden part of town and the highest and most plush on the other side. A melting pot of debauchery and silver spoons. The place never closed and there was hardly ever a stop of a game. Cards, and more constantly being conducted on the second floor, the first floor was a bar and food, dancing even. The top floor - that was for other things.
