⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Things at the table were moving along interestingly enough. Cards were being dealt and exchanged. Jahosafat leaned back in his seat and observed what was going on around him. He wasn't a card player really but he did enjoy the psychological aspect of the game. The way people acted during a game could be most intriguing. How a facial expression changed depending on what cards were in hand. What ticks a person had or didn't during certain exchanges. How quickly they discarded a card, how slowly they took the one handed to them in replacement. It was all very telling, if one knew how to read such things. Thing was, it normally took a round or two to get an idea of how each person was and that was only if one was very lucky.

Cards weren't the only place where reading peoples facial expressions could pay off. Negotiations and business dealings were another. Sure the Captain was more adept at playing cards but right now that wasn't exactly what she was doing, granted being able to bluff always came in handy. Glancing out of the corner of her eye towards Harper she smirked a bit. "Yes, to business," she said with a nod. That was exactly what they were there for. Granted she had to wonder if that was going to work for the one behind the desk considering the look on his face.

Jahosafat thumbed at his cards for a moment before laying them down. Waiting for the rest to do so before saying anything else. What happened was a surprise. (As it turned out, the winning hand that round would go to the stuttering boy by the name of Fitz. Not just a winning hand but a perfect winning hand. The dice fell in love with Fitz this round and not only gave him the winning hand but the kid picks up a Nat 20 roll and a new skill - Gambler)

"Well isn't that the most outstanding result of the falling of the dice as it were. Luck is surely a lady tonight when it comes to you my young lad. A better hand could not be held by the Lady herself in such a circumstance. Bravo. Are you sure you have never tinkered with this particular set of games before?" he asked as he conceded the hand to Fitz and motioned to the pot which was now the engineers to take.

"Yes, ve are here to do business but I do like to knov vho I am doing business vith," the older gentleman behind the desk stated as he eyed Harper.

"You are doing business with me. Who I have on my crew or on my arm is none of your concern. It is mine. Now, we can either talk business or you can find another captain to deal with," Anisa said firmly as she sat up and leaned forward some.

The beans were not enough? Why were they never enough? They were magic beans and could do things no other beans on the planet could do. Did she not see the importance of such beans? Perhaps she had not been able to see the beans as well as he would have liked. Blind? No, not blind but perhaps blinders. Damn horses, odd creatures rushing about and being lead. Nothing could beat a good and trusty ferret. Like Dieter. His ferret, not his brother.

"Talk? Yes, of course. Talk. Talk talk talk talk. I can talk," he said as he started to slip Adam out of his lap but the boy didn't give him the chance. The boy blinked and was gone. His face squished up and his glasses came down to the end of his nose. He turned, his knees buckling slightly as his head went back. "Oye, down you little monkey," he said as he spun with his arms out and pushed his glasses up to the bridge of his nose once again. Adam was sitting on the platform near the top of the tent where the acrobats would take off from for the trapeze act.

Shaking his head he whipped out his journal as his brows rose dramatically, eyes widening. Something clicked in his mind. "More than what you give from Rome? Or she gives from the West Indies? Or Bjorn gives from Scandinavia? Because obviously we outside of the council must give more to be considered as equal as the rest of you. No, I can talk but I won't. You have seen our skills. Many before you have. And no strong with skills cannot be found in all cultures. If that were true there would be a much larger council. Or perhaps there isn't a much larger council because of the elitist attitude of those who are currently within it and those that believe that only their skills can protect people from the Soulless. Yet we have been protecting our own without you for centuries. You needed each other. Is that not enough?" he said as he flipped his journal over to a blank page.

Bjorn laughed and had to cover his mouth. Ludwig was off his rocker most of the time but there were moments when the man had complete clarity and spoke true. The look that was left on several of the councils faces was what brought the laugh from the Joyous one. Mouths gaping, eyes narrowing. To him it was rather funny. Yet the look on the Grand Duchess face was not one to be laughed at and as Lee Ko elbows Bjorn and motioned over to Elizaveta, Bjorn choked down the laughter and cleared his throat.

Oh yes, Lord Rutherford was an interesting man to say the least. There was plenty she could tell Colette about her fiance. About how he forced her into an engagement she didn't want to be in. About how he was the lowest of men she had ever met in her life. About how her mother even after being attacked at Almacks was insisting that she marry this man. About how she had no choice to marry him if she wanted to keep her sister safe. About how the bruises and marks that she was trying to hide right now were not from Almacks but from another attack entirely. About how he made her skin crawl both inside and out. Oh there was plenty she could tell Colette about Lord Rutherford...

"He is a very handsome man, with a bright smile, and a way about him," she said as she walked down the corridor. She swallowed slightly as she looked about. She wasn't seeing Rutherford yet, which in her mind was both a good and a bad thing. People were swirling about in the corridor and in the various rooms as Millicent looked here and there. The only room that wasn't crawling with people gossiping about this and that was the library. Which was just fine with Millicent, it was really the only room she wanted to be in right then.

Stepping inside she glanced around. There was still no sign of her fiance but that was alright just then. This was the type of room he should expect to find her in and if she was alone or only accompanied by a single woman, things couldn't get too bad could they? It was about the best case scenario she could hope for right then. "What brings you to England? If you do not mind me asking that is," she said as she took a seat on a couch in the library and rested her hands in her lap. She had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from yelping out in pain as she sat but once settled the pain subsided somewhat.

Elizaveta Romanova

Elizaveta stood there, perfectly still, but there was a light in her eyes that she had not had before. She was proud, of her people, of the show they had put on, of the fact they were finally being recognized. Mary had accepted them into the fold, invited them to the table. They would finally have representation within the council. Her people would finally have a voice. It was everything she had tried, trained, and hoped for ever since she was a small child. Ever since she learned that there was a council, since the day she was told that one day she would be able to try to get her people a seat at the table.

Yes, finally. She had everything she had ever wanted for her people. And yet as Mary turned to Ludwig and spoke her light started to dwindle. She had not seen his presentation tonight but from what was being said she was sure there had been one before the Circus had done their act. Then Ludwig spoke and it felt as if a knife had been thrust through her heart. What he said rang in her mind and in her soul. It was true. She alone had to bend over backward, put on a show like no other, show how much greater they were to be given a chance to be equal. The Circus had to go above and beyond what was required and it seemed that Germany would have to as well. This would not do. Not at all.

"Seek life elsewhere..." she said under her breath as she laced her fingers together before her. She contemplated to herself for a moment and then stepped forward slightly. "I vould like to thank the council and the Arch Graveolase for their time and for the invitation but I vill have to decline."

Bjorn couldn't contain it anymore and let out a rather loud "HA!" when Veta spoke. "Decline?" Guang followed in an offended voice. "Of course she would decline. Make us all show up for their spectacle and then turn it down. This is why I never wanted them in the council. They believe they are better than us when they are hardly anything of the sort," Christine pipped in as she sat down and crossed her arms over her chest, giving Mary an I told you so look.

"Yes, ve decline. Though different vhat he says is true. And if it vere not for Mary being appointed currently, ve could very vell have been turned dovn again. I believe I have a far better consideration for my people at this time. Do forgive me for vasting your time vith our shov, yet it vas truly an eye opening experience." Veta said in a calm voice as she stood there. This would be hard to explain to her people but she hoped that when she did they would understand.

Turning she looked over at Ludwig who was currently at one of the tent poles as Adam climbed down, taking the little boy in his arm carefully as a father would. Stepping over to him slowly she held her hand out to him. "Ludvig vas it?" she asked softly. "I have proposition for you. Vould you consider Germany joining forces with Russia to form our own council? Us tvo alone may be small but ve could be of use to each other."

Ludwig held Adam in one arm as the boy wrapped his legs around his waist and his arms over his shoulders. A large cheesy grin came to his face as he stuck out his hand and shook the grand duchesses with much vigor, enough to make her have to brace herself slightly to keep from tipping over. "Us? Yes! Alone? No! There are many more who the council refuses. Most gave up centuries ago."

Veta lifted a brow. There were others? This was most interesting.

Update

Alright, Eden map has been updated. Please remember to post EXACTLY where you are in your header. Not where you are headed. Also, when you request a roll you HAVE to give me all the information. I am ignoring rolls from now on without all the information. I won't even tell you it is wrong now. It is listed out with examples provided in the Zeroth post now.

Eden

Location: Eden: 18 -> 22, Tank, Near Bridge Road
Skills: Survival, Tank Operations, Land Navigation, People Reading

Well Eden knew they were there now. It wasn't every day that someone came rolling up to the place, much less in a tank firing and blowing up their walls. Adamm had expected that Newnan might come at them one day, it never really settled with him that they would just let things go. Hell he wasn't. Even though Zoie was dead he was just buying his time. Yet what was rolling up on Eden from what he knew was NOT Newnan. Newnan didn't have a tank. He knew they didn't have a fucking tank. He knew.

Yet, there was Lola rolling up in her tank and Beatrice firing a large hole in the wall on the north side bridge. Effectively opening up a way in for them. Lola grinned from ear to ear as she kept pushing forward. "Aces mate. Reload if ya haven't and be ready. Think that hole is big enough for us for now. Better hold off until we get closer," she said as she drove.

Gavin laughed as the shot tore through the wall and took out an Eden scumbag. "Oh that be as sweet as cornbread smothered with honey," he said to himself. Looking through the scope he kept an eye out. He wanted to move behind the tank and come up slowly but he held position right then. He swore he saw movement over on the lakes edge on both sides of the wall there. He wasn't sure where Thana was right then so he held position to make sure any of their folks coming in from that area were in the clear.

Thana kept low and looked around slowly, scooping out the area as best she could. She was within the wall and every military fiber in her being was screaming at her to hold position and wait for the others. They were to do this together. Yet there was a rogue aspect about her, the same that once ran through her sister. They were twins, they were identical. Circumstances had been what made them different but at the base they were the same and that same jump before you look ran heavily through both their veins.

From where each person that was attacking Eden was, other than the few on the wall that was just blown, no one else could be seen on the Eden grounds. At least for now. One was speaking into a walkie talkie but with the big badda boom that just occurred there was no way in hell anyone knew what was being said. Hell the smoke and rubble that was kicked up one couldn't even attempt to read lips if they were able to. But hey at least one was dead from what they could see coming in on the bridge. So that was something.

Lola looked and rose her brows. These idiots that were left either on the bridge or on the ground now that were still alive were actually taking aim at the tank. And firing. "Wow, that's fucking dumb," she said as she chuckled. She could hear the bullets hitting the tank. It sounded like little marbles clinking away against the steel. "Think we pissed them off?" she laughed as the sound kept clinking away.

Gavin had seen some stupid things in his time. Really stupid things. Like a drunken cowboy trying to rope a ride a turkey on Thanksgiving. Oh wait, that was him. But either way. That still wasn't as stupid as a couple of idiots trying to shoot down a tank with pistols. That was a whole new level of cheese slipped off ones cracker. Sure, it was better to fight than flee most of the time but it was a goddamn tank - they had a better chance of out running it than breaching the steel with 9mm....

Thana didn't know what was going on, all she knew was that genes over rid common sense even for her right then as she dashed forward from where she was. Straight across an open road, straight across an open green and right into the woods on the other side. Apparently stupid paid off for her at least right then because she made it. Whether or not she had been noticed, she had no idea. All she knew was that she was that much closer to the building she had been told was where the Eden people called home.

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Ville au Camp - Road Heading Towards Servants Quarters
Skills: Empathy

Alicia stood there just looking at the body of Peter laying there in Georges arms. She didn't know exactly what had happened. The woman, like the other Paradoxes, didn't have the knowledge of history as it occurred like the Emendators did. This was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because she would never be weighed down with every last detail of an event when it transpired. A curse because she always had to get the information second hand and hope they had given her enough to go on. Yet as she heard Evelina let slip a single word, she knew she was on the blessed end of the scale right then. That was not a death she wanted a lot of information on. It would have been brutal from what she knew.

Her head turned slightly as Nancy came up, in cuffs no less. She wasn't about to ask just what the hell she had been up to. Gio had just recently made his presence known and she hadn't seen either of them before the last ten minutes. Her best guess was that they had been up to something, most likely a prank knowing those two. She had to bite her tongue to stop from asking a very inappropriate question - Alicia wasn't the most tactful person when it came to her speaking but even she knew not to ask what was with the love cuffs right then.

The wind began to kicked up and Alicia found herself having to grab ahold of her hair and keep it back out of her face. The sky was getting darker and as she looked up she spotted why. Her eyes widening some before glancing around and finally taking note that the pale Paradox that Evelina had taken for a walk earlier was there. "Bitch breath and calm that shit," she said as she took a step back. Last thing she wanted was to get shot in the ass by a lightning bolt right then.

Alicia had nearly forgotten Faith until she heard the womans voice. Her head turning as she kept trying to keep her hair back. "Them things, Destruere, that you were warned about. They did this shit..." she said as she stood there and then looked back over to Peters body. "Nasty fuckers, why we stay in pairs outside of the grounds..."

Evelina Lucas

Location: Ville au Camp - Road Heading Towards Servants Quarters
Skills: Administration, Diplomacy, Memory Training, History

This was not how she wanted to start this day off with the new Paradoxes but there was nothing to be done of it so far. It hurt to see Peter the way he was, laying there lifeless after she had given him a second chance at life. Yet they had rules for a reason, this was one of them. When you went back things happened. Yet this death was not because he had gone back, it was because he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or was it? They knew so little of their adversary, even less now without Drem about, it made it difficult to know. All she did know right then is that if he had stayed on the property he wouldn't have been killed in Egypt.

Evelina stepped forward and knelt down slowly as Nancy came over. "It is not your fault," she said in a steady voice as she reached out and pulled Peter from Georges grasp. The man did not let go right away but he did eventually release his friend and stand up as Evelina pulled Peter into her arms. Standing up Georges one eye looked over to Nancy as he let out a shaky breath. "That blood, it is not yours is it?" she asked as she cradled Peter against her. e knew it wasn't but she wanted others to hear it as they did not have the scene playing though her mind as she did right then.

"Mmmm, no, not mine," he confirmed as he started to walk over towards Nancy, his eyes down and his shoulders hunched forward as he did. He noticed the wind picking up but he only raised his hand enough to make sure his mask didn't fly off.

Evelina turned slightly as she held Peter and locked eyes with Andromeda. "Do remember what we were speaking about. Think of your moment, breath, in and out, calm yourself." Her voice was as calm as she could make it. It seemed that no matter what was occurring Eve wasn't bothered by it. At least it seemed that way as she sat there.

Spotting Gilbert coming up the road Evelina motioned with a single blood stained hand. "Do give me a hand to take him to the house." She wasn't going to attempt to carry the body to the house alone. Gilbert was more than capable to but she was not. Strength was not on her top ten attributes. Gio was coming up and she had to wonder if it was time to close the gates for a while. Perhaps it would be safer for the time being.

Museum: Akhmed looked over to Mosi and nodded a bit. "Yes, we have had breaks in before. Thieves are everywhere and when they cannot get into the digs themselves or security is too tight in certain places they will resort to the museum itself. Yet it has been several months since we have had an incident. Not to mention it usually isn't this obvious," he said as he continued to look around.

Neema smiled lightly to Lauren. "Yes of course. Would be happy to pass down the knowledge," she said before entering the room after the two gentlemen that insisted on going before her. It looked as if things had been moved around. The flowers that had been delivered for the Lady Munn were ruined on the floor, both vases. Books were tossed off of the desk. Drawers were opened, empties and pulled out fully. Yet there didn't appear to be anyone in the room other than those in the group that had entered. "No one is here, you should be perfectly safe," Neema said as she called back to Josephine but kept looking around. Nodding in agreement that no one should touch anything.

"What in the name of the Pharaohs happened here?" the curator asked as he came up to Veras office and notice Josephine sitting on the bench and others in the room. The place was a mess.

"They're gone..." Neema said as she pointed to the table where they had left the tablets before heading to the archives earlier.

Vera

Location: Heading West Towards The Egyptian Museum -> Front Door of Museum
Skills: N/A

Vera pushed her curls off her brow as she walked, the sun nearly gone but the heat that came with the day was not. It was one thing about Egypt, the heat never fully left until the last possible second and then the cold set in. People were granted roughly thirty second of good wonderful weather a day when it came enjoying their surroundings in Egypt. Now was not that time. The hat had proved helpful earlier when the sun was still up but now it just made her head feel like it could possibly sweat away. The Lady Munn was having none of it as she pulled the hat off her head. It wasn't exactly scandalous to be out without a cover but it wasn't exactly looked on as a good thing either. Yet after her victory at the permit office she wasn't about to suffer for a hat. Not this one.

Glancing over to Nora she slowed her walk and started to run through names in her mind. Yet after a bit she shook her head no. "I cannot think of one sadly. There were a few that I know of by reputation alone but their views on working with women are on the Neanderthalic side. Far behind even the main stream of society today. Perhaps when Peter catches up with us we might be able to persuade him to speak to one on our behalf," she said as they approached the museum. She had to wonder at this time where he and George were, yet with his leg injury and how quickly they had moved back to the museum it could be a while. She wasn't going to worry just yet.

Sana
Location: The Tower - 3rd Floor
Interacting With: CLA
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

More of the group was getting into the room, which made Sana about as happy as she could be. Well not happy. Nothing was going to make the woman happy right now. Kyra was gone and there was no sign of Ash yet. This was not sitting well with her but she didn't have time to mourn right then. They were highly out numbered. Granted, Cyn had just taken one out and it laid there on the ground dead. That was something to help evening things out. Yet there was still work to do.

Sana drew back and took aim at the large Centipede on the ceiling that was starting to come towards her and let her arrow fly. It hit and it hit hard. Hard enough to embed into the ceiling above it and pin it there. This gave Sana a hell of an opportunity as she nocked another arrow into place rapidly and let it fly. It hit as well. It didn't add to the pinning but that Centipede now looked like it was close to death and it couldn't move to attack anyone right then without causing itself more damage.

Queensguard Research: Zoie glanced over to her brother and nodded at Malis words. "She's right. Just try to enjoy yourself," she said in a calm professional voice. She couldn't let a hint of her southern drawl come through right then. Her brow perked just a hair as Mali pulled her close but she smiled and snuggled into it as they walked.

"No, it isn't that. It's him," he said with a quick motion of his eyes. Zoies eyes followed her brothers and then narrowed herself.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Zoie asked.

"Probably wondering what happened to his son," Relic said as he kept his back turned to the older man.

"Who is his son?"

"Was. Ronnie."

"The founder of the largest cyber security conglomerate in the U.S. was that hoodrats father?" Zoie asked and Relic nodded. Zoie looked over towards Mali. "Want to get a drink?" she asked, she needed one right then. Seemed he wasn't the only one as Wentworth lifted his hand and took a small drink from his glass which was half filled with amber liquid. At that moment, all the computer monitors flickered.

Pinto Rental Cars - Airport - Mexico: "Oh you asked for it," Natasha said with a grin as she started to scroll through her various playlists. Grinning to herself she pulled up one and hit randomize on it. "This should be fun," she added as she set the temp in the car. It wasn't too warm, she had a coat with her so she figured she could keep the place decently cool for them during the drive as long as she didn't get a bone chill in the car. There wasn't exactly a hot shower for her to jump in where they were headed. Open road and all on Mexico. Even if there were, it wasn't like they were wanting to go pull over in the middle of no where. The less they pulled over the better in her book.

"Okay, got us GPS route but grabbed a map just in case. No idea how the bars are going to hold up out here. Last time I was in Mexico it dropped constantly," she said as she got comfortable. Setting it up on the dashboard their wonderful GPS was good to go and the map was laid out on the screen for them.

From the speakers the first song on the play list started to pump out. It was a rather familiar hit from the 90's that most everyone knew whether they wanted to or not. Perfect song for two girls on a road trip as far as Natasha was concerned. "Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want. ... I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna zig-a-zig-ah"

Roads Of Justice: Lucas looked over towards Jaina and smiled at her before throwing the car into gear and tearing off down the street. "Oh yes, the queen is a right good mate of mine," he said as Risa got settled into the seat and put on her belt. "But no cat, I have Risa here, she is enough to keep up with," he said with a smirk.

"It's not my fault you can't handle all this," Risa said with a smirk before turning around in her seat and looking back at Jaina. "Okay, time to go pick up Cynthia so we can surprise her with a trip to the Circus. Where does she play hide and seek?"

(Back in the Asylum they got the place on the lock down but it was too late. Jaina had escaped. Nurse Cratty looked at the body and looked rather bored. That was the best way to describe it. "They normally just call the local precent here when someone breaks out or gets killed. Might not be common but it happens. You aren't the first to lose a few patients in the span of a day.")

A Safehouse in the Deadlight District: The sounds in the bathroom were not getting any better and some time between a "holy shit" and a "god let me die" Roy was able to get out a "Partner, might want to start without me," from behind the door. It was probably a good thing because it sounded like he was going to be in there for a very very long time. Not to mention that if what was happening behind the door was what everyone thought was, then as soon as he opened that door they all would be hit with the smell in that tiny place. Best keep him back there until... lord only knew when.

Anisa & Jahosafat

Location: Lady Luck: Table Main Room, Backroom
Skills: Jack-Of-All, Carouse, Social Science -> Psychology

Anisa stepped into the room and nodded towards Harper as she did. In the room there was a couch on either side, old and worn. A desk in the back center with an older gentleman sitting in the chair behind it. A large man stood behind him and just to the side. There was a door behind the both of them. Other than the one they had come in through and the one at the back there were no other exits in the room it seemed. Three other men were in the room and one woman but the woman was obviously of the establishment and was ushered out quickly with payment in her hand. She flashed a wanton smile towards Harper as she left. Seemed she wanted to get her claws into him, or more so into his pocket as soon as they were finished. That was if he left the room.

Jahosafat smiled broadly. "Oh it must be. We should see about ensuring the water filters on the ship are up to par. Perhaps then we can cure some of those here of their aliments," he said with a slight chuckle. "I see your twenty," he said towards Jackie and tossed in another stack of chips. Turning his attention over to Daphne his smile brightened and he nodded. "I would more than pleased to deal you in during the next hand my lady. Most pleased indeed!" he said happily as leaned back in his chair. Oh he was right proud of himself right then, he had gotten her to speak.

"Bring your date along with you?" the older gentleman said as he laced his fingers together and rested them in his lap as he leaned back in the chair slightly.

"It was either him or my barber and I doubted you could stand his gorham ass," she snipped as she sat down in a chair across from the man at the desk. Leaning back she got comfortable and crossed her legs as she rested her clutch in her lap.

"And do I get to know his name or do you not know it?" he asked with a grin, implying that he was just a one night stand she had picked up at the Lady Luck recently.

Anisa could only smirk. "He can talk, if he wants to tell you he will."

Jahosafats eyes darted over towards Fitz as he spoke. Why had they joined the ship? He couldn't speak for the others. Well he could but he probably shouldn't even if he did have a good idea to why some had. yet a few still eluded him, especially the pilot. The new one. He had seen a few glances exchanged between Harper and his fellow man of leisure. "Other than our captain and her second in command are far more wonderful to look at than most any I have ever served beneath? Why a sense of adventure my good sir. What one can do when out in the black on a ship largely depends on the ship and crew. I currently do desire one with far less strict reigns. Outside of the boudoir that is."

Another child, one just as fair as his sister. So pale, like dolls they were. Do you play with dolls? Not these dolls. No, some dolls were not meant for posing and dressing up. Some were meant for pins and needles and poisons and knives and more. yet you did not stick these dolls, no, these dolls stuck back. Yes, he would bet his bottom pound that if one were to stick these dolls that they would stick back. Seemed this doll wished him to stick another for her.

"Oh no, I couldn't. I don't stick pins. I write with them," Ludwig said. His face squished up and his head shook as he fidgeted with his quill. Running the feather under his jaw as it went agape. Yes, write, draw, teach. Oh yes, Adam. First, comes before Eve. Before the eve. The evening, the night. The darkness. Death came at night, under the pale moonlight. So many wolves in the night, howling at the moon. Throats ripped. Offered under the pale moon light. At least that was what she said to all the boys.

The still woman stood still still. Her eyes, so dark, darker than the night, darker than pitch. "Later my dear, in another place. For now, continue with the plans. We will meet again," she said as her fingers laced before her breast. Like a statue, almost like stone. Yet stone did not move but she moved then. Or did she? It was hard to tell but she was gone. Not really but yes. Wasn't she? How did it get so foggy in here? Must be the smoke, yes. Many lights are burning and fires were made. Walkers of fires under closed floors.

The woman was there, unescorted? She had never heard of such of thing. Okay, maybe she had but only in her dreams. Being able to attend an event of ones own free will, alone, without worry of an escort or anything else for that matter. Yet it was nothing but a dream. Something that would never happen. At least not for herself. No, it couldn't. She was too bound by the expectations of a society that dominated everything she did. From what she wore, to how she carried herself. She was on the fringe enough being a bluestocking, and while that was something she could live with, complete and utter scandal was something she could not afford. Especially not now.

So, she was stuck in this nightmare in hopes that it would never bleed from her life to the life of her sisters. It was odd, being caught in a moment of time where you wished you could rush and cause the clocks to tick faster and bring the next day quicker but also knowing that it would be just as good and bad to freeze time and remain in that one moment forever, or to even rewind it. Her past, her present, and her future all seemed to be woven into a tapestry of pain currently and she could see no light anymore, save the one she flicker that at least the darkness of her life did not shadow the light of anothers.

Forcing a bit a smile, which felt like it would crack her face, Millicent nodded. "Oh yes, Lord Rutherford should be around," she said in a tense voice as she left the room and started walking slowly down the corridor. Even saying his name made her tongue feel like was burning in acid.

"Well damn! Now that was a show!" Bjorn said as he clapped his hands. It was indeed. It could be seen by several members of the council that they were more than impressed while others were almost foaming at the mouth. The Russians joining the council was not something they liked, not one bit.

"Yes, all very educational but still I do not believe enough to be a member of the council," Christine said as she remained seated in her chair.

"Well why the hell not?" Bjorn asked as he turned his attention to her as she skulked.

"Other than they keep in hiding? That they will only train within the circus? That some of their powers stacked on ours and over decades could create a true power struggle outside of the Soulless? Shall I go on?" she snipped. It was obvious she had given this speech more than once in her life.

Elizaveta took a calming breath as she watched Belladonna seem to vanish and a thick fog start to clear the tent quickly. She sighed to herself but kept it to herself. They had more pressing matter to attend to and they had to get moving now. The show was over, it was time for a decision. She gave a knowing look to both Virginia and to Mary. They had plans to save another and they had to get moving. As soon as a decision was made.

"Have we proven ourselves worthy to have a seat at your table or shall we forge our own?" Elizaveta said calmly as she took a few steps forward and laced her finger in front of her breast before holding perfectly still.
