I don't think discussing plot in a separate chat is bad at all. I've done so many times in my RP and never had issues. I mean, it's great to get feedback and ideas from the OOC, but ultimately it's up to the GM. Those are just my thoughts on the matter.

Okay, well, basically, when I asked @TheHangedMan about things, he told me that the Silver Key keeps Cthulthu, Azazoth and the Great Old Ones from the Cthulthu Mythos away, not by sealing them within a prison...because it is Earth and Earth's reality that is the prison, for us. It's just that we have the key to said prison, so we're safe.
I managed to reconcile it with my introduction of God and his Angels by having God be, well, God, who's utterly benevolent, humane, and understandable to humanity, and who bound himself to Earth in order to prevent the Lovecraftian Gods from directly manifesting on Earth unless summoned by people from there, aka Cultists.
