Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

On second thought, I might not join.
@Krayzikk, Can I play a rebel faction within the Ark Union dedicated to Clone Rights?
Tobiax has left; Crest of Love is now open once more.

William Ascot

Ascot waved hi to Andras' friends, introducing himself first: "Hello, there! My name is William Ascot, St. Laurel's student. As for crazy, well, the plan is something that will require most of this month or the next and a lot of luck to fully succeed. Said plan is to use Andras' power, Perfect Alexandria, in conjunction with my power to duplicate First and Second Abilities and my ability to increase people's luck, strength, and speed, to get around the cosmic laws preventing the ressurection of the dead. This can be done via Perfect Alexandria coming from a pool of immense cosmic power. The limitation? Well...

The boy paused and continued, "Perfect Alexandria works by Andras drawing a limited number of spells from a gigantic storehouse that contains pre-set spells. These spells are chosen at random when drawn, and Andras can only do said drawing once or twice a day. So pulling the specific spells needed for ressurection will take a long time depending on luck." A frown. "Which pulls us into two issues: Why I want to do this and what perils you guys will face.

"The reason I want to do this because there is a Mephisto's student, Vittorio Twinviel, who is only in that school because his parents and his four best friends were killed by a Demon in St. Laurel's, a Demon that was seeking out Alto. Because of this, Vittorio blames Alto and has fallen under the dark influence of people who don't necessarily want the best for him. He's a sad, suffering soul and I want to help him greatly." A frown as he continued. "But, I have been less than discreet because another Mephisto's student, a Half-Demon, wants to kidnap Andras for himself - his minions are still out there - and also knows Vittorio and can pre-emptively poison his mind against me."

William Ascot's phone buzzed, and he picked it up and put it on loudspeaker after seeing who it was. A woman's voice, firm and loud, would sound out from said phone: "William?! I'm at the parking lot. Should I extract you out of the situation, or will your new protectors be enough?! Oh, and to said friends, I am William's mother, the great Gilgamesha Ascot! I'm probably the most powerful power-user you'll ever see, but actually stepping in is overkill; I'm happy to just watch my son find his own way.

A pause. "Well, what are you guys waiting for?!" the woman said, "Extract yourselves out of here; prove yourselves worthy of the Throne of Heroes!"

@BladeSS4, Kindness is free, actually, although we'll have to increase our number of Chosen Children to 9; my fault for forgetting its existence. Also, can you add another two paragraphs onto the bio, further detailing his life under his survivalist dad and sports star brother?
@BeachDude7PH

Interested, but it's too late for me to get anything written down so just count on me dropping something down tommorrow. Feeling that Courage trait, but we'll see what I can come up with over work tomorrow.

Courage is reserved, actually; same for Hope.
@BeachDude7PH Well, the "perfect little girl but is actually a manipulative shrew" bent to it comes off as very misogynistic, and the interests and other things being so stereotypical comes off as a lack of depth which seems sexist as a result.

She's actually meant to be a creature of her circumstances; she has to survive in the cutthroat world of the Japanese upper class. She's also meant to be more sympathetic in the later parts of her bio.
Character Sheet

Name: Carol Akechi

Nationality: Filipino - Japanese

Appearance & Physical Attributes/Picture:

Age & Birth Date: 16, January 1 1995

Trait: Light

Hobbies & Skills: Carol is a surprisingly good head at economics and business despite her young age, but manages to keep her skills from being seen as a threat by smiling and 'submissively' suggesting her ideas, slipping them in such a way that the males in her life take said ideas for their own and even believe they thought them up. When around people her age, she is slightly more outspoken, but not so much that she ruins her image of being 'Daddy's perfect little girl'. She has also learned how to use the Naginata, as well as a Filipino Kalis sword with a half-wavy, half-straight blade.

She can also cook, clean, and embroider, traditionally feminine pursuits that she chooses to excel in to bolster her image.

Digimon Partner: YukimiBotamon>Nyraomon>Salamon>Gatomon/Tailmon>Angewomon>Holydramon.

Quote & Personality: "Wouldn't you prefer [Insert X Here]?" or "If I may humbly make a suggestion?"

Carol knows that while her parents are legally married and both rich, her half-foriegn status makes her only slightly above an illegitimate child in the eyes of many. Thus, she tries to overawe people with beauty and poise, sweetness and purity without them realizing that it was all an act. When she shows intelligence, she shows it in a way that does not threaten the egos of her family and friends, even though closer eyes would recognize what she does as manipulation. All this comes from a desire to be loved and a desire to be safe. However, she knows her heart is empty and that she is no romantic heroine; she may appear to be such, but her discreet struggle for survival has made her feel that she cannot truly be 'romantic'.

Deep inside, she wishes to be a heroine of action, a leader in her own way, one not bound by the rules of elders and men. And perhaps, this may be her opportunity.

Bio: Carol Akechi was born from the marriage of a Japanese Man, Kyosuke Akechi, with Contessa Minerva de Mendoza; the daugther Conde Bernandino de Mendoza, a Filipino Sugar Baron with Spanish aristocratic blood. This was done so that the Akechi Zaibatzu can gain access to the rich and fertile plantations and farms of the Mendozas; foriegners are forbidden from owning land in the Philippines. This bargain, unheard of and unthinkable even in Japan, brought the Akechi Zaibatzu an immense amount of wealth that allowed them to take their place among the greatest families of the archipelago.

But for Carol, what it brought was the experience of early ostracism and the awareness of being an outcast yet privileged at the same time. And so as the young woman realized how smart she was, she began seeking out new knowledge and experiences, as well as influence over her own parents. Combining the Japanese ideal of the 'Yamato Nadeshiko' with the Philippines' vision of the 'Ideal Filipina', Carol adopted an image of a demure and non-threatening lady who 'merely wanted help her future husband manage the vast riches he would inherit when they married'.

All the while, however, she passively-aggressively badmouthed ever possible suitor to her parents and planting the idea that said suitors were unworthy to share in their wealth and success. Then, she began spending increased amounts of time online under an assumed name, and began an online friendship Henry Featherstone, a boy about her age (played by @Doc Sammy). Henry was not rich, but not poor either, and she liked him. But because of their differences in social status and race, she knew she had to acquire even more power if she were ever to further dilute her Japanese bloodline by falling in love with him, something she pondered doing.

But that comes later; right now, to luxuriate in the Philippines' resorts!
