Finbarr's Bonuses

1. Exceptional Unarmed Combat: Finbarr's magic is geared towards infiltration and hit-and-run, and most of the time, there isn't enough time to draw his two blades once he exits a portal. As such, he is also highly adept at martial arts as taught during training, employing a mixture of judo, Krav Maga, Kong Fu, karate, and muai thai.

2. Exceptional Reflexes: While not particularly strong or durable, Finbarr makes up with having quick reflexes. He is able to react to external stimuli much faster than most, though this is limited to things that he is able to see as incoming, as the Rau've that captured him already had its hand ready in front of the portal.

3. Exceptional Patience: Finbarr has an extremely high amount of patience, whether if it's dealing with annoying toddlers or waiting for an enemy to pass through an area. This augments his shapeshifting magic as he could wait for literal hours in rat form and not snitch a tiny bit about it.

4. Exceptional Marksmanship: He is very accurate with aiming ranged weapons, whether it his Energy Blast spell or the Plasma Pistol he carries around.

Tarak-

[Exceptional Endurance- Unnatural endurance, the ability to shrug off many blows that can put a normal man down. This benefit is reduced greatly when Tarak takes off his Power Armor, however, is still exceptional nonetheless]

Tarak's armor can handle most conventional rounds, he himself is still flesh and blood, so his endurance can only be so incredible before he is no longer even flesh.

[Exceptional Strength- Unnatural physical strength, the ability to lift things inconceivable for the normal human, and strike with enough force to break through concrete. This benefit is reduced greatly when Tarak takes off his Power Armor, however, is still exceptional nonetheless]

Tarak's powered exoskeleton makes Tarak insanely strong, he himself is still flesh and blood, so his strength can only be so incredible before his body will tear itself apart from the force exerted on it.

[Exceptional Gunkata- A form of firearm and martial arts combat that focuses on close-range gunfighting with a mixture of martial arts grapples and strikes for effectiveness in most forms of close to mid-range gun-fights.]

Tarak had picked up this makeshift style after years of gunfights and surprise attacks while fighting in both the war and as a Mercenary. This style works best within enclosed spaces, while not being as effective when it comes to long-range gun-fighting.

[Exceptional Tracking (Human/human-like)- The unnatural ability to track and hunt human targets and targets who think as a human would. This can go to the level as he will know how these targets will even respond to a situation and how they will react

Tarak's years as a Mercenary had given him an almost superb level of understanding of the human mind and how to track someone based on simple tendencies and how a human will think and respond. This will work best on humans as those were his main targets during his mercenary days, and while at war he didn't hunt down targets as much. This will work okay with other targets, yet will no longer be considered exceptional when faced against non-human like targets.

Samuel-

[Exceptional Spellslinging- The skill to use magic in a dangerous and effective ways, making spells seem more dangerous from their precision and creativity.

Samuel is not that great in a fistfight, nor was he good with a gun, but he was great at using his spells and using science to create creative and lethal attacks.

All good except for Ex. Spellslinging, as spellslinging isn't a mundane skill to be made exceptional. Perhaps Ex. Ritual (Which covers nonmagical ceremonies) or Ex. Ceremonial Gesture would work better instead?

Characters' Bonus Skills

Bonus Ex: Skills (Natasha):

- Rank up to Ex. Trade
- Exceptional Streetsmart
- Exceptional Vehicles (Ground)
- Exceptional Vehicles (Atmospheric/Air)

Bonus Skill List (Ashton):

Exceptional Cybersecurity
Exceptional Online Commerce/Trading (A Specialized Skill which can override Ex. Trade when dealing with online transactions)
Exceptional Hacking
Exceptional Stealth

Bonus Skill List (Flame):

Exceptional Intelligence 2x (General Skill)
Exceptional Perception
Exceptional History

Why Snow does not have Bonus Skills:

Snow lacks Bonus Exceptional Skills because 1.), his backstory is sparse, and 2.), Learn Faster can compensate.

Bonus Exceptional Skills (Windsor):

Ex. Navigation
Ex. Intelligence x2
Ex. Deception
Rule Edit: Bonus Exceptional Skills

In addition to the Exceptional Skills each character automatically has, a good backstory on one’s profile can grant 4 more Ex. Skills. These Ex. Skills, however, can only be added after the character has been accepted, and must not conflict with the existing backstory and skills. Nor can Child Soldier or Kaisoken PCs exchange them for Spells.

Rule Edit: Overlapping Exceptional Skills

Some Exceptional Skills overlap with one another, like Ex. Diplomacy and Ex. Speech, or are broad enough to cover multiple smaller skills, like Ex. Intelligence. For a contest between overlapping Skills, the better RPer ‘wins’. For a contest between a ‘broad’ skill and a specialized one, for example, Ex. Intelligence versus Ex. Engineering, the specialized skill wins.

Edit 2: Kherol already has 3 additional skills due to antagonist privileges, so he can only add one more.
Natasha Zhang

The comms were still open and Natasha heard about the 'Child Marines' upcoming problems with money, causing her to type in, Yeah... About that, our 'employers' are willing to give us a regular salary, with additional 'raises' for each job well done. We also do legit trading and delivery, smuggling, and each crewmember is permitted to do their own jobs on the side as long as it doesn't hurt the crew as a whole. Oh, and we also gamble, although I don't recommend that as a reliable way to make money. And finally, merc work - We do merc work too when it doesn't hurt us too much.

A brief sigh, these kids are going to be part of the crew now, right? So Natasha continued, By the way, my name is Natasha Zhang - Captain Natasha Zhang. And I have to ask, what are your specific skills, fighting-wise?

Ashton and Flame

Flame typed back, sending pictures of the group with captions to Natasha's Omni-Tool, Ashton and Nero are close-combat speed and stealth specialists, I'm a marksman and sniper, Iris can deconstruct matter and heal people, Samuel deals heavy damage, Avelyn is stealth and espionage-based, and Tarak is a jack-of-all-trades and master of keeping us all safe. He's our leader.

Ashton, meanwhile, said to Finbarr and Nero, "You're both right - It isn't a problem right now, but a healthy body is a body in fighting shape. Not just that, but if we need money, this is still the Galactic Bazaar, where credits can be made by making the right choices. Watch closely..."

The latter was said for Nero's benefit more than Finbarr's, as Ashton touched several holographic buttons on his Omni-tool's display screen, which caused the tool to project a series of larger screens which projected a series of names and numbers in English (translated from Galactic Basic). The young man then continued, "This is the Bazaar Stock Market, which is like a casino, only we're betting not just money, but ownership of shops and businesses and those super-big corporations which keep giving loud and bright advertisements."

Ashton chose this explanation of what the Stock Market was in order for Nero, who though smart, was poorly-educated, to understand. He wanted to teach the other kid about the wide, wide world of knowledge that he should have been given a long time ago, but knew that it would take a lot of time and effort to do so. So he'd have to content himself with this.

"Tarak," he continued, "You're very lucky, right? My skills in this have atrophied since my... Involuntary service, so I might need you with me to help with some of this stuff." Then back to Nero, "Basically, we're using our trip here to take bets in what companies here rise, fall, get back up, or are ruined forever."

And before anyone can stop him, the young man used his remaining 4950 Credits to buy shares in another shuttle on the far side of the Galactic Bazaar, which paid off several times over when the current sales and transactions of said shuttle turned a massive profit. Then those shares were sold off for additional cash, which was used to invest in a larger business which turned a profit with its next few transactions as well, then a company, then another set of companies, and so on, all hopefully guided by Tarak's luck and insight, as well as any skills his other genius friends can bring to the table. He then showed the assembled group a holographic screen saying that 1,960,300 Galactic Credits were now in his credit stick in electronic form.

"Now," he continued, "This is only a small amount of what we can get from playing the stock market. So the question is, when is the right time to stop and keep the money, or bet more on a business' success?"

Flame interrupted, "Ashton. that's a trick question - You can't draw on Tarak's luck and insight forever, even if he's willing to. Like it or not, you can't just use him like this."

Natasha Zhang

Oi, I saw that, Natasha typed over Flame and Tarak's omni-tools. Nice work for someone so young and untrained - You really are geniuses. But I am a master of trading and know a few tricks myself. Now, brown-haired kid - Ashton, right? Let's link Omni-Tools - Let me show you a few things you don't know yet...

After Ashton linked his Omni-Tool with hers', Natsha began using her own expertise with trade to scout out businesses which seemed unlikely to make a profit, yet somehow did, and companies which seemed to be doing well, but were about to crash. With her experience, Ashton's raw genius, and Tarak's luck, they were soon making 100,000,000 Galactic Credits.

Make sure to split this into multiple accounts, Natasha typed, There's not much regulation here, but accounts with too much money and too little security might get hacked by, well, hackers.
