I love the smell of new character sheets in the morning.
Well shoot, I don't know enough canon DC or Marvel characters. I get most of my information from Disney's Marvel and Cartoon Network's Teen Titans and Batman: Brave and the Bold
@Sep Yeah it's mostly that I'm suffering from decision paralysis/choice overload right now, so if getting "big names" covered is something you all want, I can oblige.
@Hound55 I was thinking of either Spawn or Invincible, to narrow it down a good bit.

He was Batman's first Robin and then they grew up and grew apart. Dick went off to college, earned a law degree and went to work for the authorities. But life had other plans for him and the former Robin became the present Nightwing. This is a pretty standard take on Nightwing, he banters, he has a thing for redheads. The only thing I will add, is he's a bit old and a bit wiser. His rift with Bruce is repaired a bit more since he's had more time to reflect and realize the benefits of his life with Bruce and Alfred. Most importantly, with Alfred gone, Dick has truly had to become the heart of the Batfamily and that's something I intend to show through his interactions with each of it's many members. Add into the fact I'm intending him to be solely a supporting character, it takes off a lot of the stress that I normally feel when playing the character and planning out large plots that rarely come to fruition. Instead, this time around I'll be playing Blüdhaven's Knight mostly when approached by other players as outlined in the plot below. Along for the ride is the enigmatic and empathetic Raven, the current Ghost Rider. Though the trio make an odd team, there is more than meets the eye under the Big Top and soon secrets are uncovered that relate to not only Dick's past, but potentially the death of his parents. |
I'll try out Hellboy if you guys will have me? I haven't written anything super hero in a while.
I see. I might try and give Daredevil a shot but I also might hold off and see if I can make supporting character that might develop further depending on how it goes.
I'm adding some stuff to my character sheet, but I was wondering if anyone had plans for Constantine?
I don't really feel a need to write him as a main character, but he'd be pretty great as a "visiting" character for an Ragwoman issue.
Similarly, if no one else shows interest, I'd love to write Zatanna as a roaming or supporting character (or have her appear if someone else wants to write her).
The dream is probably Hellboy though (sorry not sorry).
Either way if anyone has any level of supernatural character interest, pop by my character sheet later today and I'll have some updates in the character note section on characters I think would be fun to involve at some point (but more than happy to talk things through if someone else has their heart set on one of those characters, everything I have in mind is mostly ideas at this point and I just want to offer some chances for collaboration).
As an example for more of a major event type of scenario, if someone wanted to write Dr. Strange for a bit, I bet we could figure out a fun crossover issue.
QOTD: Thought it could be fun to stir up some conversation while we get closer to the deadline. Thinking about the character you've chosen, what type of 'CRISIS' event are they most likely to answer to? In this style of game, we've defined Crises as large-scale events that have ripples across the entire RP. In the first season of Ultimate One Universe, we had the face-off with the Silver Surfer. Most recently in Absolute Comics, we had Stryfe plan an attack in three separate locations across the country. Heading into Sensation & Wonder, Doc, Sep and I are working on something entirely new but I'd love to hear what the ideal is for everyone's characters. |
