Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

Honoka Takahide Allegra

@Noxx @SimpleWriter

Honoka practically bounced where she stood, staring with pleading eyes at Yui and Tama. She could feel that presence blazing like flames across petrol, accompanied by another dark aura, no less. "Soma's right!" she cried. "C'mon, we can't just leave our friend up there! We're a team, aren't we?" Without waiting for an answer, she turned and rushed after Bastion. The wound on her side seared with every movement, but she ignored it. Her own safety didn't matter. Only the safety of the team and the school's other occupants did.

Images of the massacre three nights ago flashed through her mind, which only spurred her on. She wasn't going to be useless again. She wasn't going to let people get hurt or worse.

Tama Miyara Angelite

@Noxx @SimpleWriter

At Soma's little comment about Luna, Tama bristled. She had a good mind to slap the other light girl across the face, but restrained herself. "Soma. I know you're angry that... that Luna isn't with us any more," she replied, her tone steady, yet brimming with underlying irritation. "But that's no reason to talk about her like that. She wasn't reckless. It's just that nobody, no matter how tough, is invincible."

Before she could calm Bastion down, the shield user strode towards the roof door, Allegra sprinting alongside her. "Wait!" Angelite called, chasing after her teammates. "Soma, you remember how mad she got when Yui and I stepped in. The so-called weird girl you mentioned, we need her to help us deal with this!"

Clenching her fists as neither listened, she sped her march to a run. There was nothing else to do. If they intervened, they could be putting Rose and the entire school in even more danger. If they didn't, though, things were likely to turn out badly for their fellow light girl and the other students anyway. Maybe there was nothing to lose.

She turned an urgent stare towards Yui. "Please. Find the visitor."
@A Lowly Wretch Yeah, that is true considering Sophia's character. If Noriko headed off, Fuyuko probably wouldn't be able to find Sophia again, so that could make things difficult.

Of course, it depends what you want to do. If you'd rather have them continue talking, yep I'm good with that, Noriko will probably leave soon anyway as it's getting darker and shades will be more active, she needs to keep her home safe. Plus I kind of want to focus on my actual participant character. If you want Sophia to be alone for a while so she can do some observing, we can do a shade fight, then I could have Fuyuko meet another group of magical girls or Vita could throw an NPC at her. I'm happy with whichever option you choose :)
@A Lowly Wretch Sooooo... Since shades have started turning up, want me to throw a few at the group? Not only would it be a chance for them to fight together, it would remind Noriko she needs to get back home to protect her parents, then much awkwardness would ensue as Fuyuko had to explain things she'd rather not go into detail about. One of those things being why she and her sister weren't sticking together.

@VitaVitaAR Unless you have plans, of course...
Honoka Takahide Allegra

@TheWindel @Noxx @SimpleWriter

"It wasn't like that!" Allegra folded her arms over her guitar as the shark-like girl joined in with the magician's taunts. These girls unsettled her more and more by the moment, but like hell was she going to show it. She wouldn't give them that satisfaction. "Friendlier? Huh, nice try. It didn't feel like that when someone kicked off just now..."

Her gaze snapped from Touka to the ceiling. By the feel of it, that same someone was kicking off again, just above the classroom. Threatening somebody. "Someone's got to do something!" she cried, leaving the dark girls behind her as she rushed from the room. Answers weren't important, not when the entire school could be in danger.

No sooner had she left than she felt another flare of darkness, this one seething from far down the hallways. For a second, her pace slowed, her usually boundless energy faltering. Who needed confronting most? Gritting her teeth, she kept running. The girl on the rooftop was the one causing trouble right now.

Spotting Tama, Soma and Yui, she called out. "We've got to help! If whoever this is picks a fight... I don't want to think what could happen!"

Ayumu Harasawa Phantasmagoria

@TheWindel

Sighing, Phantasmagoria shook her head. "Well, at least we tried to talk some sense into her." Had they all been that naive once, or was the fake metal chick just something else? That coolly detached gaze became wary as it drifted up to the ceiling. It wasn't the burst of red-hot anger from Ami that worried her so much as the other presence. A keg of powder about to be lit, and the entire Detention Club could suffer the consequences.

"That wannabe rock star isn't exactly going to help matters... Maybe I should go get Ami to cool down." She winced inwardly as she moved towards the door. Even if she could get through to Ami - she was used to keeping Kiru out of trouble after all, or at least the kinds of trouble that weren't fun - it would mean facing her again. Nonetheless, loyalty to the club was a duty of all its members.

At another energy pulse, one she'd only sensed once before, Phantasmagoria froze. That aura had intensified since last time, feeling like... Like all that fury and grief that had consumed her, back then. She clenched her fists, remembering that utter numb shock on the face the mascot's screen had displayed. The kind of incident that could turn a light girl dark. No wonder the former president, dark already, had plunged even further into corruption.

Aegis moving away from the roof should have brought some relief, if not for the chance that she'd run into Chiaki. No way would that end well. And there was still that small matter of Ami above them, facing someone else, likely to burn the school down if anyone riled her up any further.

"Things really are going to get interesting," Phantasmagoria muttered. "For better or for worse."

Tama Miyara Angelite

@Noxx @SimpleWriter

Listening to Yui's suggestion, Tama nodded before transforming once more into her jewel-encrusted self. "Yeah, it's quite a short-staffed night shift for us light girls," she agreed. "With a high turnover rate, no less, even if the dark girls still help in a way. But we've got to get to the bottom of this somehow. If we find out why everything's hitting the fan, maybe we can do something about it. Plus there are answers we need, like..." That weight inside her chest grew heavier. "Like who did that to Luna. And where Alara is."

She spun round, nearly denting the wall with her wings, as a frantic Allegra rushed towards the group. "Uh, Honoka... I don't think she'd react well," Angelite warned. "Just looking at us was enough to make her want to roast us alive, and most likely everyone in the vicinity. There's someone who might know what to do, though. Someone we were just about to go talk to anyway." With that, she turned in the direction of the unusual light aura, which moved along the hallways.
@Karkinos New invite: discord.gg/vSzWx8

Hehe that'd be interesting, Aki's going to be worried when the fog clears and she finds one of the girls is missing, but good thing she can search for people.
Kichi Takada

@NiceSpice @Thanarosa @blackdragon

"Well, the stakes just got higher..." Kichi muttered, leaping to avoid a shadow tendril, landing in a crouch. She'd never seen so many Vices in one place before. Then again, she'd only been on a few other hunts, and considering the location it shouldn't be a surprise. A place where workers ground away like their machines, struggling to keep afloat as those favoured by fate rose to crush them. An atmosphere of defeat, all too much like at home.

Glimpsing the figure at the window, the feline-featured girl sprang back up. "Don't ya worry! Your streak of bad luck breaks here!" In her transformed state, even if she were closer, he wouldn't hear her. At most, as the Keeper had told her, an ordinary human may be vaguely aware of background chatter that they wouldn't give a second thought. Still, calling out bolstered her spirits, and hopefully those of her allies - of whom there were more than she expected.

Kichi spun round as two other girls entered the fray, one running forward in a blur of black, white and purple frills, the other hurtling down like a fiery shooting star. Another wave, and golden outlines appeared around them, as well as Kichi herself. "That'll tip things in our favour!" Her playful grin returned. "Not that we'll need it!"

A set of black knife-like claws sprouted from her fingertips. Pouncing, she lashed with them, catching a smaller Vice just as it tried to dodge. That luck boost was paying off, by the looks of it, but she could already feel the strain.

"Ugh..." As she landed, she faltered. Maybe the blessing on that many people at once hadn't been such a good idea.

Aki Harigae

@NiceSpice @Thanarosa @blackdragon

As the two new arrivals slashed with knife and sword, engaging the main Vice in close combat, Aki let her magic tingle down her arms to light the Celestial Beacon's stars, and swung. Not only did she strike her target, the weapon obliterated a weaker Vice that crept from the shadows towards the girl with the rose-thorn knife. The larger creature recoiled, cloak smouldering, its smaller comrade reduced to fading wisps and a splinter of black crystal on the ground. The extra luck seemed to be the advantage the team needed, but what was it doing to Kichi?

A glance to the side gave Aki the answer. "Hold on, Kichi," she called, drawing on a different kind of power as she prepared to renew the girl's waning strength. Before she could, the Vice surged forward, black fog gushing from its mouth and eye sockets. The substance filled the air until barely a thing could be seen. Stumbling, peering through darkness, Aki yelped as a purple hand shot out, raking claws along her side.

She gritted her teeth. It was probably only because of Kichi's blessing that the wound hadn't been deeper. Even though she could still sense the Vices, she couldn't pinpoint them. Too much stress and pain to focus. Not enough time. She did, however, have one way to tell where they were. A luminous sphere swelled in front of her. "Guide us to nearby Vices," she commanded. Wincing from the movement, she brought her staff down in the direction the orb drifted. A hissing crackle sounded upon impact, that feeling of desolation lifting a little from the area.

Already, the shadow substance began to thin from the lights, revealing shapes that encroached on the team. "I'll clear as much of this as I can," she called, catching glimpses of gold like stars peeking from behind clouds. "And we've got to act quickly, while these auras last."
Gabrielle Angouras

Listening to Jean's droning lecture, Gabrielle bit back a sigh of exasperation. "Well who says I can't enjoy what I get?" she retorted. "And you know, I had to prove myself to my father too. I represent him after all." Or rather, she used to represent him, she thought bitterly. Not that she was letting on how casually he'd abandoned her. "He won't be happy if he finds out people are treating me with anything less than the respect I deserve. No matter who they are."

She scooped up and ate a forkful of mushrooms, egg and toast, narrowly avoiding trailing her fur in the fried tomatoes as she did so. Good cooking here, that was at least one positive thing she could say about the manor and its residents. "And since I'm stuck here for Arceus knows how long," she continued, "once I'm presentable, will someone show me around this place?"

Alyssa

"Look, nobody's disrespecting you," Alyssa explained, trying to diffuse the tension. "Seems you just need some time to settle in while we all figure out how to get our old lives back." A bright smile lit up her face. "I'm sure we'll find a way! In the meantime, yep, taking a look around sounds like an idea! Trust me, you'll like the place once you've seen it."

Hoping for a reasonably peaceful breakfast atmosphere, she took a bite of toast with homemade strawberry jam. Since the transformation, she hadn't needed to eat much, getting most of her energy from sunlight instead. Even so, she still enjoyed the taste of food, as well as the company that dining offered. In time, surely Gabrielle would appreciate these gatherings too.
@Epsir @Karkinos Yep, we could bring some Vices into the park, I could post later if you'd like. Or if you want to start posting right away, you can make up your own since they take many forms. I agree it's best to start off with separate groups, less clutter and confusion that way, plus it could set up individual story arcs.

Karkinos, yes you can have a Keeper tag along. They basically act as encouraging as possible to the magical girls, while not letting on everything...

Looking forward to everyone's intro posts!
@Karkinos You can join in the battle if you want, or you could get held up by Vices elsewhere. Given the number of characters, we don't all have to be on the same mission.

@Karkinos @DrowsyPangolin @Gisk @PrincessVampora @Epsir @Thanarosa @Skyswimsky @ERode @blackdragon @sassy1085 @Noxx Also, just so everyone knows, the two characters thing isn't just a GM privilege, anyone can have a second if they want more than one. Kaigo City needs lots of magical girls after all...
Jessamyn "Jess" Bailey

As Roxy stomped away, Jess had an uncharacteristic urge to shout back. She refrained, knowing full well that it was Roxy's secondhand anger she felt, that she'd make things worse by adding fuel to the fire. It seemed she really did need this counselling.

After breathing steadily and counting to ten in her head, Jess raised the phone to her ear. "Sorry about the wait. Uh... Any day would be fine, when is there a free slot?" Listening to the options, she made her mind up. None seemed better or worse than the others, and she didn't want to dither, so it was a matter of picking at random.

Once she'd finished arranging the session, she approached Roxy's door. The closer she drew, the more her hands clenched. The anchor's frustration clouded the air like thick smog. "Well, that's that done," Jess announced, trying to keep her tone calm and assertive, but a strained note crept in. "We're booked in for Wednesday at eleven in the morning." She held back from asking yet again if that was ok. Nothing was ok about the situation, and they needed all the help they could get, even though it would only do so much if anything at all.
