Bio
Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.
Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.
There was that one person who said they were interested on the OOC's previous page. Maybe we could start a new team? The other spots being taken by NPCs until we get real people to take over?
It's no problem boss. But maybe next time before you mark off who's out, try a rollcall. I'm sure there's plenty of more PC's who are just like Team STRG/RGTS and just waiting for a chance to post something in Weekend Limbo.
As for the others I dunno, but it wouldn't hurt to try and see if they left too. BTW, Onarax has unfortunately let us, so now there is a vacancy in team KNVS.
That is true, but KNVS is an extremely in active team comprised of one NPC already and two characters whose players have main characters to which more attention is devoted. It's also a senior team, and to my knowledge Asuras created a freshman character. I don't know whether or not there is any interest in adapting that to a senior role.
As for creating a new team, I don't consider it to be a very good solution, but it may be the only one. If HCTS can get us a new player, that would alleviate the problem (there's also Masaki Haruna, who may or may not be interested, I am not sure) whilst at the same time going even further against my desire to not swell our player count any further.
@Folks, I am going to be adding some new stuff to the OP in short order.
@Nytem4re my sincerest apologies. Your absence makes perfect sense; you were part of the team, after all, who in terms of timeline is still in your mission while the rest of us are playing through the weekend. The time that's gone by while we've been doing so makes me want to whip myself when I consider that I mentioned wanting to keep that time (where you and your team are unable to post) to a minimum.
Since this led to my mistaken assumption, which is now festering into a whole host of other problems, I have half a mind to put a definite deadline on how long we're going to be playing the weekend.
@Lucius Cypher Nyte is still here!? I had no idea! When I checked a couple of days ago, he hadn't posted for months either IC or OOC.
That means that the slot I intended to give to @Asuras since Bianca is going on JCL is actually not available. Lokileo's Geni gets the opening on VGNB, but that leaves Asuras' Culann without a proper spot. Hot damn have I gotten myself into a pickle!
With growing irritation, Olivie noted that the towheaded mischief-maker wasn’t meeting her eyes still. Fortunately for the condition of his face, he seemed to be examining her Pokemon, but the fact remained that he wasn’t giving the girl much respect. Be it because of an overabundance of ego or a scarcity of seriousness, the dude just wouldn’t take her seriously, and figuring this out riled the brown-haired brawler up. So what if he met her rambunctiousness with flippant disregard? If he accepted her challenge –which he most certainly would- her Pokemon would be knocking some sense into him. Or at least, they’d be schooling his Pokemon on what kind of trainer attitude made for great fighters.
In a sudden turn of events, Azerus produced a quiet sniggle before extending an indicatory index finger at Gespenst. The Cacnea only narrowed his eyes slightly, still swinging around his arms, whilst the young man laid out his challenge. His trainer, meanwhile, grinned darkly. [color=954535]”You’re on, flyboy.[/ color] The two watched as Azerus released his challenger: a puny little pebble with a ponytail. Just seeing it made Olivie laugh aloud. ”Pff! Look at it!” she implored her grass-type, crossing her arms behind her head in a relaxed manner. ”Better to throw that thing than try and attack us with it.” After taking a quick look around, she confirmed that the empty lot next to the Pokemon Center offered enough space for an impromptu beatdown. For a moment her thoughts drifted to breakfast; she’d awoken with her companions before dawn, after all, and her rush for a battle royale at sunup stood in the way of any meal. She made a mental note to get a bite to eat after handing this guy a humiliating defeat, guessing that the fight would work as an appetizer. Her attention returned to the moment when Azerus bowed mockingly and offered her the first attack. With zero hesitation Olivie would seize it. ”Thanks! You’ll regret it when we kick your ass into next week!”
Bruiser Olivie would like to battle!
Full of gleeful, almost malicious eagerness to wreak havoc against his opponent, Gespenst uttered a guttural gurgling noise as he hopped forward. His trainer, feeling much the same, uncrossed her arms to throw a hand toward Azerus’ stony partner, and shouted, ”Energy Ball!” Instantly, Gespenst raised his arms above his head, and from the bottom of each end extended several long, sharp spines. In this position, Gespenset fell forward, planting himself face-first in the ground and burying his arm needles in the ground to use as support. Upon the flower crown atop his head, which thanks to the comfortable environment in which he lived was shriveled and orange, a green energy began to gather. Streaks of emerald light flowed into the orb through his body, swelling it until it was almost as large as his own body. Then, with no further ado, the Energy Ball blasted forth to cannon into the Roggenrola (3/6 EP).

@eklispe and I had a battle a while earlier just fine. I think the battle system is complete for the more rudimentary battles--the battles beginner trainers usually participate in, that is.
There's no distinction between 'rudimentary battles', and other battles. The system you and Eklispe used was the previous one, not this new once. Since we're unsure of how to proceed, Dark Light and I will use the old system that you used, and I'll post for it today.
Posting Speed: N/A Number of Pokemon: 2 each Battle Title: The Benevolent Beauty Turned Boisterous Bruiser versus Rebellion's Turbulent, Reserved Tempest Extra Terms: N/A Rewards: ...Azerus' view is reward enough
By the way, the combat section isn't complete. The confusion of health and energy being in one pool makes it tough to fill in the gaps. Shall we use the old HP/EP system in the meantime?
Too enthralled in his play to notice to Olivie's presence for the time being, the sincerely musical dude didn't skip a beat. Admittedly, the girl couldn't boast of a particularly developed musical sense, but this particular melody stirred whatever poetic inclinations she had. Its remarkable flow and mellow resonance, at first take comfortable and pleasant, carried a slight undercurrent of melancholy. Just from listening, Olivie could tell that this distinct brand of music must have a rich history. Of course, as she thought about the song more and more, she came to realize that Gespenst had the right idea. No matter how nice Tommy's trumpeteering sounded, niceness lay outside her calling; it was her imperative to be tough, grow strong, and win. Lazing around in the precious hours of morning, motionlessly soaking in a guy's tunes, completely stymied this mission. Still prickled by a touch of the jazz's wistfulness, Olivie gave a sigh and turned to her right to retrace her steps.
Of course, her Cacnea and Karrablast blocked the way, but beyond them stood an individual that she, seemingly as oblivious as the trumpet-player, had failed to take account of. A look of surprise flitted across her features; she'd thought her little listen-in had been a clandestine affair. To find out that she'd been not the observer, but merely a link in the chain of observees, kept her startled for a second or two before her feelings turned to anger. She cast an irate glare at the spiky-haired blond, noting that his eyes, following in the footsteps of so many before him, were not where they should be. In an instant, Olivie became informed of the entire scenario; she'd seen it played out before, the same old record spinning on the player. Not that the gaze of some rando bothered her—she didn't care so much about that at all. Only sissy girls act demure, went her philosophy. It takes guts to be confident but not shameless or bitchy. The problem at hand was that, like pretty much anyone, Olivie didn't care so much for being sneaked up on.
Still wearing a mask of anger, she held up a hand with the index finger extended in the manner of someone chiding a ne'er-do-well or confronting a bully. She opened her mouth to speak before realizing that she might disturb Tommy, so she made a point to take about a dozen steps forward to both put distance between herself and the trumpeter and to close it between herself and her admirer. In only a few seconds she, without altering her pose at all, stood a couple feet away from the not-so-subtle onlooker. ”Hey!” she belted out at last. ”You with the mop on your head! You cruisin' for a bruisin' or something? Only idiots try and snoop around while someone's back's turned. 'Specially someone like me!”
She pounded her fists together and cracked her knuckles. As it was the first time she'd done so this morning, a good round of crackles sounded out, and her party took them as signals. Around her, her Pokemon adopted poses of varying degrees of ferocity. Verrine's slitted orange pupils regarded Azerus calmly but dangerously, harboring an air of tranquil fury. Gespenst, having already extended threatening spines from his clublike arms, swung them from side to side in an idly threatening manner. Buck, meanwhile, attempted to screw his pudgy face into a grimace, but one could hardly tell by looking at the goofy-looking gopher that he had anything remotely close to malicious in mind. After affirming that her companions were giving Azerus the full treatment, Olivie took note of the intruder's pokeball. An idea took hold in the brunette's mind. Knowing her new acquaintance's weakness, she crossed her arms tight beneath her chest to squish her bosom together before saying, ”Alright, buddy! If ya wanna watch so bad, how's about the two of us have our Pokemon throw down? We need a little practice and you look like perfect fodder! ...You're not gonna chicken out, are ya?” She narrowed her eyes at Azerus. All the while, Raven's presence completely escaped her notice.

I intend to respond tomorrow after a good night's rest. Didn't sleep so well last night.
I see. Have a good one.
Even though that's barely any wait at all, I'll go ahead and post anyway now that two others are in the mix. Though my posts are typically of decent size, they're pretty infrequent, and there's a lot of stuff I'd like to make with CPs if only I had enough.
