Well, Penny was right. Jasmine was indeed disappointed in her response after being basically on the edge of her seat for most of the time the older girl spoke, taking in every word gleefully till the comment on people hiding their magic. But not because of a lack of stories or magics to tell about. No, this was more about what Penny spoke of and it made Jasmine look away for a moment. She could get that people were afraid, of being judged, or perhaps of their own power. Jasmine was still grappling with that fear herself, or more precisely a very similar fear. "I...guess I understand why they would. B-but magic is a wonderful gift! People shouldn't hide it...." She sure hoped that this match would serve to aid in the that cause.

"W-wait, rumours of Phoenix Song?" Now that was something that brought out her curiosity and energy back. That was wonderful news indeed! "T-that must mean there's another Phoenix or slayer right? I'm sure Jarvis will be able to get to the bottom of it anyway. H-he's super reliable and helpful after-all!" But of course, Jasmine was sure that Penny was aware of this. Everyone in the guild would be, he did a lot for them. Though some might say that's to be expected of a (co)guild master, he really did go above and beyond that. And not only that, even if he couldn't, he had a lot of connections to get most things done anyway.

Even though they had just gotten to talk to each other after so long, it seemed like their reunion was short lived now that Damian was calling Penny, Nolan and Rose over to him to prepare for the match. Jasmine really wanted to talk to Penny more, hear more about her trip in detail or tell Penny what she had been up to while she was gone, but she also understood she couldn't really just keep Penny here any longer. "I-I guess you should go, wouldn't want you to get in trouble because of me. M-me and Rajah are going to go get something to eat anyway and we'll see you at the match or after to keep talking if you wanted?" Standing up, Jasmine would wait for Penny's response before parting ways with a brief farewell. She would see Penny later anyway, would be plenty more opportunity to catch up.

Though instead of heading to the bar to order, she instead went out back into the kitchen with her exceed partner in tow. It would be quicker if she just cooked something up herself, and she could find something to keep Rajah out of trouble for at least awhile like a fish or a watermelon or something for the exceed to eat. Of course, she would still pay or at least help out in there or at the bar later, but for now she pushed open the door to the kitchen only to find someone else also seemed to have the idea of cooking.

"O-oh hi Markovis." Blinking in surprise for a moment as she lingered in the doorway, the aroma of rice and spices causing her to pause and sniff at the air. She didn't need her keen sense of smell to know that this scent was delicious, but it certainly helped in enjoying the aroma as she realised she was just standing there awkwardly and now moved into the kitchen with a floating Rajah in tow, who flew straight over and sat on his head, peering down at the food he was preparing.

"Whatcha making-HEY! Whatcha doing?!" Rajah was suddenly dragged off of Mark's head by Jasmine, who had to jump up and really stretch to even reach that far to begin with, and was as impressed as expected. "Y-you can't just sit on peoples heads Rajah! We've talked about this! S-sorry Markovis but umm, you know Rajah...just uh take this and wait outside Rajah." Bowing her head at the taller boy, she took Rajah over to the fridge and handed her a couple of fish, some apples and a whole watermelon. That would be enough to keep Rajah quiet for a while at least.

"S-so what are y-you making?" With Rajah out the door, Jasmine wondered back over though kept a respectful distance away from Mark as she spoke. "And,uh, aren't you umm...making a little too much?"

It was all a blur to Ethel in all honesty. or rather, it was all fluff for the younger girl. Just setting her sights on the fluffy tails that Ariel was currently flaunting was enough to make her mind go blank, let alone basking in her soft fluffiness. As such, the bouquet wasn't exactly caught by Ethel, well conventionally at least. It kinda just smacked her in the face and she caught it on reflex, snapping back to reality for a moment before once more being drawn back in by the warm fluffiness. Even if Ethel had noticed that Ariel was just walking off, carrying her in her tails with little effort, the girl wouldn't care. Who would complain about being abducted in such a manner as this! And when Trinity joined her with Ariel, she just gave the older girl a wave and went back to nuzzling against the tails. It was actually kinda fun, not just the fluffy tails, but just the sensation of almost bouncing around. It was like one big fluffy ride!

At the talk of magic and a case, Ethel peered over. Should she say something? She was kinda just third wheeling here and wasn't really sure what they were talking about, so instead reached down into her jumper and pulled out the ever so fluffy Chu to also indulge in some fluffy tail fun, pulling out a brush and brushing both Ariel and Chu.

It seemed like Zen really didn't Kaden, which Akemi was just getting more curious about. Like she had said, he seemed nice enough when she had spoken with him earlier. "So if I just wear shorts he won't flirt with me?" At his comment of flirting with anything wearing a skirt though, she looked down and patted at her pale legs. Getting out wasn't just good for in the sense of exploring the city, but the girl really did need to get some more sun time. What was wrong with flirting anyway? Not that the younger girl knew the first thing about flirting, it was likely to fly over her head if anyone tried to do so. "But if he does something like that, you'll the first to know I guess?" Another unassuring answer for sure, but it was something, and it wasn't like much really bothered her to be honest.

"Hmhm they should be indeed. I can't wait." Just the faintest smile could be seen forming as she happily skipped alongside the older Zenith. She really couldn't wait to see the Royal Gardens, surely with everything one associated with royalty that there would be all sorts of rare, exotic, and beautiful flowers and various plants about. Almost certainly there would even be ones Akemi had never seen before in her life, in fact, she was already beginning to vividly imagine what sorts and colors there could be, passing several stalls without even giving them a glance. The only thing that snapped her back to reality was Zen speaking up about how things weren't clear-cut?

"Hmm? How so?" Giving him a tilted look, Akemi blinked up at him, completely oblivious to his rather obvious meaning. "Bad guys do bad things, that makes them black. Good guys do good things, which makes them white. What else is there to it? Grandfather even said so himself when he read me stories. It's also how all the books and stories I've read ever go. It's why I want to get stronger, to help others like you do! Like...mother did."

Hmm, he was a tougher and stranger individual to understand than even her reconfigured expectations had taken into account for. There were no obvious cues or signs on him, the main trait was one anyone with half a brain could work out. Cautious, he was quick to put up his guard and approach things with a ten foot pole if he even remotely thought of them as a threat, a wise mindset really. After-all, there was no way to really prove what she was saying was a lie or not, for all he knew she was lying through her teeth. Not that it was really her style to do so, no, blatant lying becomes too complicated and tedious to keep track of and can become...predictable and easy to see through. While a complete lie was always an option, she much preferred to mix them up, twist things here and there. But when she said she wasn't sure if she even could turn into him, it was the honest truth. She had no idea if she copy him or not, and while her curious side was dying to find out, it was probably wise not to try. For now at least.

"Oh that is splendid news indeed!" She (he?) broke into a beaming, toothy grin as the two of them began to push the cart along. It was actually lighter than she had expected it to, perhaps this lad was stronger than she had thought him to be? Or maybe it was the fact there were now two of them pushing? She wasn't entirely sure as to why, but it didn't really matter. "Normally people learn of my magic and want nothing to do with me...Especially for a reason like you're starting now. Though in saying that, it's both a blessing and a curse I cannot copy memories. It would make for a rather convenient ability in gathering information a lot easier, but...well, some things cannot be unseen right? Could be all sorts of memories, unsavory ones to be more specific."

She did honestly wish she could gain the memories of those she copied though. That would make her job soooo much easier if she could, so much easier to infiltrate, keep herself in character more, etc, etc. However, she did work hard to make up for that by learning all she can about them anyway. Observation, scenario play-by-plays, and more till she worked out the perfect way to 'become' them. Suppose there was a satisfaction to be gained there, but it still would make her life so much easier.

"You really think so? I've always viewed it as more of a burden I guess, but when you put it that way...I suppose it's really something?" Alina mused out loud. Now of course she already knew this all, even though her parents were always stern and strict on her ability still not being enough to be the perfect assassin, she had the potential to get there if her magic continued to evolve and grow. But with the role she was playing, this wasn't the case. "As do I Mr. Isanami. I'm sure it'll be a fruitful discussion."

With that, they fell into silence. They would be able to make good time with the both of them pushing, especially with the added strength of the man she was currently impersonating to aid in Menzai's neverending stamina. Though in saying that, hers wasn't. While her magical reserves were fine in keeping her transformation active, it was a very long day for the red-head. It would eventually get to the point where they were close enough to keep pushing on, but also she was getting weary. And a thought occurred to her now. "Perhaps we should stop for the night...the shop will be closed when we get back won't it? Might be inconvenient to put this cart in the guild."

"Shiro..." As Henri leaped up, yelping from the pain of the hot tea poured on him, Manami was rubbing her temples. Rightfully, the man was a little upset, but what could Manami say or do about this really? Tell Shiro off? There was no point, surely everyone knew that. Get her to apologise? Like they would get a proper apology from the apathetic girl even if they held her at gun point. "I'm so sorry Mr Bapiste, Shiro here tends to overreact over nothing." Was all she could really say here. What else was there to say? Normally she might've healed Henri for what Shiro did to him, but she wavered for a moment as her gaze moved to Meredith only to look away almost as quick towards Argus.

"W-well if they were, I'll happily pay for their replacement or cleaning. It's the least I can do for Mr Bapiste here." All she could really muster up was a strained smile as she talked to the younger man. "Though to answer your previous question, we were just taking a stroll through the woods when we came upon Miss Pesta and Miss Hadou at the doors there with young Mr Bullet. I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure of who Miss Hadou is, but Miss Pesta seems pretty eager to show her around so you never know?"

As Manami sipped at her tea, Shiro just shrugged at Henri. "What can I say, my hand slipped and I couldn't see you properly. Half blind and all." Tapping at her eyepatch to emphasis her point, she couldn't help but roll her one eye at his comments on a hex. She already lived with one curse, what was another to add? Though she didn't even pay Meredith a glance as she sat down. There was no need to, the older lady was pretty much fuming before Shiro pulled her stunt so she was probably glaring daggers at her childish action. But it was all Shiro could really do, normally she would've snapped his neck but Manami had gone through, at incredible detail and length, how she wasn't allowed to do that here. Like, at all. Gah, and she was so certain she could just snap him easily enough too.

With the situation seemingly calming down, Bullet left to go to the kitchen as Manami decided to apologise to Meredith for the ruckus. But as the mage went to open her mouth, the doors burst open. It certainly was a shock as the lady that stumbled in, blood oozing from a large gash on her leg, so much so that the guild's chatter seemed to stop almost instantly. Manami was quick to get up to examine the wound as Meredith came over with the healing ointment. It certainly was nasty, was the ointment going to be enough? Biting her lip, she stayed silent as they gave the run-down of what had led to this wound. Her magic would be able to heal this wound pretty easily, but....no she couldn't. She just couldn't bring herself to, besides Meredith seemed to have the situation under control.

Looking over her shoulder as someone approached her, she noticed it was their guest and listened to what Regan had to say before taking a moment to think. "I'm not really in a position to order anyone around here, but I'm going to stay here and help Meredith. I'm sure the other team will take any help they can get, especially since they don't know what they're up against. Shiro, accompany Miss Hadou and the others as well. I trust that you'll be on your best behavior while you're gone?"

Shiro hadn't gotten up from her seat by the bar after she had sat back down, only now looking up from her tea and almost looking bemused at Manami's words. "Why of course Lady Manami. I'm always on my best-.....ok fine." Shiro sighed as Manami narrowed her eyes at her long-time friend, standing up and stretching her arms up towards the ceiling as she ventured over to Regan. "I don't need to show the same restraint for the poachers though, right?"

Shiro didn't really care at all about the situation at hand. Not about this direwolf, nor about the sobbing injured woman, or what these poachers had done, all that mattered to her was she could finally do something that she wanted to and wouldn't be reprimanded for. "I'm just going to warn you once though Miss...Hadou was it? I would recommend staying out of my way, for your own safety. Just like, stop any stragglers from getting away or something." Her tone was ominous, almost threatening despite the casual manner in which she approached and spoke with, like saying such things was no different to breathing to her. Though as it stood, she was actually just trying to give a fair warning now so that Manami didn't chew her head off later for not doing such if something happened. With her piece said, she was ready to go now as Manami wandered over to Meredith.

Calmly, Akemi nodded along as Zen briefly explained what else a 'date' would mean. So it wasn't just a fruit, but also a social event that may or may not have romantic implications depending on the overall context of the situation? How peculiar really. Now that she thought about it, didn't date also refer to a specific time as well? Such as a specific day and whatnot? Thinking on this all was really beginning to hurt her head, simply shaking it softly before turning to Zen as he went into a bit more detail. "Take advantage of? A one-night stand?" She echoed back, blinking slowly as she tilted her head slightly. "So you're saying there are bad people who'll try and 'date' you for their own gain?" Tapping her chin thoughtfully, she let out a sigh as she shook her head again.

"I...don't get it...but ok, I'll be careful then. You and Ria are safe right? I can tell, you have the same light and warmth about you both; both white." Since Zen said not to worry about it now, then Akemi would keep it tucked away for later questioning. Didn't want it getting too late before getting to the gardens after-all. Instead, she almost seemed to be beaming though her lips didn't even quiver or threaten to turn into a smile as she walked beside the older boy.

"Leon was much the same...is everyone else safe and white as well?" Pipping up again, she eyed a few stalls as they passed by them. She was mostly just stickybeaking around rather than showing any genuine interest, more curious as to what the stalls contained than the actual contents. One was a shooting target game, another a lucky bag store, another selling flowers. One even seemed to be selling....gemstones? Birthstones or something? Akemi didn't really get it, but ok.

"Torys seems ok as well, she didn't send me home after-all, as does Tone and Kaden. Maybe we should've invited Tone as well? He seemed rather down when he left." Off-handly she thought back to when they told Tone they had plans. Maybe he was upset to not be involved? So she was thinking perhaps they should've invited him? Oh well, he left pretty quickly so they didn't get much of a chance to invite him anyway. But they would definitely need to spar with him to make up for it, he seemed to really like sparring so that would make him happy yeah?

"What kind of flowers are at the garden anyway? Have you ever been there Z?"

His reaction wasn't unexpected in all honesty. She tended to avoid people knowing about her magic, the less who know the better. Besides Luke, Gerald and Torys, no one else really knew the nature of her magic, stating this as her excuse to Torys as not wanting the others knowing till she felt 'comfortable' revealing it to them herself. Honestly, it was mostly a cover to keep her magic on the hush hush. But it was either use her magic, or try and pull the wagon in her actual form and well....she knew which one was far more efficient. Though, she couldn't help but think his reaction was a little over the top right? She wasn't even aware of his magic, so she couldn't really be certain of this, but surely she wasn't a threat to him right?

".....Mr. Isanami, what kind of person do you think I am?" She asked after he jumped back, placing a muscular hand to her (his?) chest. Perhaps this was a chance for her to get him to become less distrustful? Regardless, she knew how to play this kind of situation as she allowed her to form to drop slightly, staring down at the ground. "Not that I can really blame you for your reaction....I honestly thought after showing this to Luke and Gerald that my magic wasn't that terrifying or weird. But almost everyone else who's ever seen this magic has reacted much like you Mr. Isanami...albeit they're generally more hostile, so I do appreciate not being attacked on the spot."

Placing the cart handle down gently, she brushed some hair from her face before she began to....shrink. Compress. It was a pretty grotesque sight really, her muscles and bones shuddering quietly as they changed shape, shifted their make-up once more. Her scent had become to shift back to normal as well, before last, her hair suddenly shot out and became its usual crimson color, loosely falling around her shoulders as she slowly brought up her saddened gaze towards Menzai as she held up the baggy clothes so as to keep her modestly intact.

"As you can see...my magic allows me to shift, transform into others I've come into contact with. But I'm nothing more than an imitation, a cheap replica if you would. Do not worry, my magic does not harm those who I replicate or become, nor can I replicate their minds. My mind remains my own, I am unable to gain the memories or minds of others...though sometimes I can replicate particularly strong personality traits and the like." Ok, that last part was a straight-up lie, but the rest was pretty spot on with what she knew about her own limitations through a significant amount of trial and error. She more added that last part to explain any situation he may happen upon her impersonating someone else, an insurance policy if you would. It would save possibly annoying and ill-timed questions later down the track. "....Though whether you believe me or not is up to you. As you may have expected, most who find out about my magic are...less than pleased by its nature. Often calling it and myself 'evil', 'dark arts' and the like. Hence why I waited till we were out here to use it, as you may be able to understand why it would startle those in the village correct? I've quite had it with becoming called a witch or a monster, as I'm sure you must know after coming into humans who are less....understanding about your appearance." She was pretty happy with her performance thus far. Normally she would give far more long-winded, back-story driven, tear-jerking speeches and references, but she figured condensing it into a far more practical explanation as such was the better route with what she had learned about Menzai.

Taking a moment, she began to transform once more into the burly lad. Once it was done, she picked up the handle once more and went to pull it, before pausing and half-turning back to Menzai. "One more thing Mr. Isanami...you need not worry about me transforming into you. I require a bit more than just a touch to do it anyway, and honestly, there is always a bit of compatibility as well. I can tell when someone or something is compatible, and I suppose fortunately for you you are not. Like I said, it's up to you to believe me or not, but we have a job to do. You can decide how you feel about me once we deliver these flowers I suppose, I'm not going to force you to talk with me or do jobs again...though I was I looking forward to our little chat about magic studies. Not many in the guild seem interested in that topic."

Gripping the handle tightly as a twinge of regret crept into her voice, she began to pull the cart along, leaving Menzai to decide what his next course of action was. Whether or not he wished to accompany her till the end of the mission, go back to guild by himself, or whatever else he wanted to do. As much as it pained her, she couldn't control the actions of others, no matter how masterful or moving her performances may or may not be. Though suppose that was what made it so satisfying when her plans fell into place, now the ball was in Menzai's court.

A content sigh escaped the blonde as she sat down beside, reaching down to rub at her aching calves. "It feels so good to be back after being nonstop on the road the last five days...especially since I uh can't really do transport anymore." A sheepish grin overcame Jasmine as she spoke, leaning back into her seat as the raging ball of fur that was Rajah seemed to have settled down....well as settled down as Rajah got.

"Heh, it seems like you've been lacking in your training if such a mere trek as such was enough to tire you so much. Tsk tsk tsk, what would the savage monkeys think if they saw you like this?" Standing in front of the two mages, arms crossed over her chest, was a smirking Rajah before she sighed and shook her head.

"I-I wouldn't be so tired if you hadn't wasted two days in Hargeon you know..."

"Heh, that was also part of your training."

".....Anyway, uh, so Penny." Taking a deep breath, Jasmine looked away from the triumphant looking exceed laughing like a rich girl right out of a shoujo manga, and decided to change the subject. "W-what did you and Damian get up to? Ooh, and did you guys get to see any cool-looking or rare magic? I want to hear all about your travels!"

Just the thought of what the S-class duo may have encountered got her mind racing, excitedly clasping Penny's hands as she looked at the older mage with starry expectant eyes.

Completely unaware of how she had saved Nolan, Ethel continued to simply nuzzle against the soft fur until Ariel moved to embrace her, to which Ethel returned the hug. Though she didn't stop rubbing the tail against her face, that was just asking too much. "Kitsune? What's a kitsune?" Momentarialy confused, she tilted her head as she looked up at the older girl. Though a realisation struck her.

Ariel got this form from this 'Kitsune' girl. Now she had fluffy tails. That means if Ariel gained this fluffy form from her due to Ariel's magic absorption, pi equalled 3.14159265..., the square root of 16 was 4 and every action has a positive and negative reaction....then that meant this other girl was also super fluffy! Visible excitement began to break out on Ethel as she found this rising sensation impossible to hold back now. Just D'angelo alone was enough to drive her over, let alone the buzz in the room and her own excitement levels.

Now, Ethel did feel an overwhelming desire to go find said other fluffy tailed individual. Was she as fluffy as Ariel? Fluffier? More tails, less? Those were questions which floated in his currently scrambled mind. However, in saying all that, why go looking for fluff, when she already had some right here? She could look later for the...uh 'kitsune' was it? Ethel was so caught up in her own rapidly moving train of various thoughts that she wouldn't have even noticed if Ariel had started leaving, though she also hadn't let go of the older mage yet so would probably have just ended up either being dragged or carried away while spaced out.

She also didn't notice D'angelo handing Ariel the cloud bouquet, only finally snapped out of her fluff induced giddy daze at the loud, revibrating noise of Nolan's headbutt that no doubt floored poor D'angelo. Blinking, she looked up from the three tails that she had gathered and was smothering herself with at this point, tilting her head.

"D'angelo? Oh right I...." She had never actually asked the pudgy mans name, had she? In hindsight, she probably should've. "So, he really is Nolans cousin? Ethel thought he was just a delusional weirdo making absurd claims."

Wait, Penny had something for the two of them? Blankly, Jasmine tilted her head slightly as she blinked at Penny. Jasmine didn't mean to come off rude, but seriously? Like, she might've expected Penny to bring back some souvenirs for the guild in general, but it seemed to be something a bit more personal than that, otherwise, it would've been fine to just give the younger girl whatever the gift in question was to her now. And even Rajah? Now Jasmine was just curious as to what Penny might've gotten the exceed, or rather she hoped it was anything but a muzzle. It would clash with the dress Jasmine had picked out for her!

"I-uh we, had actually only just got back from a job ourselves..." At the mention of food, Jasmine's stomach grumbled loudly, causing the girl to meekly smile as a small blush formed. Food sounded good, pretty good actually. And hopefully, it would also keep Rajah out of any more trouble.

Wriggling free from Jasmine, Rajah slowly floated up towards Iggy with a trademark smug look, arms crossed over her chest as she proudly boasted to him. "Ohohohoho about time for you to finally turn up Sir Ignatius, and here I thought you were neglecting your sacred duties as the Provider of food. Though no matter, now that you're-OW, OW, OW, OW!" Yanked back down by the tail by Jasmine, who just sighed and shook her head. "Rajah, how many times must I say that's not how you ask for something? Nor is that how you should greet something....Also it's nice to see you again Iggy."

"I-I get it! Lemme go already!"

"No. You're not leaving my sight, you'll just get yourself in more trouble."

"Hah! There's little these mere-OW! STOP THAT!"

"Y-yeah, let's go get a table Penny...we just walked here from Hargeon so a little rest sounds good." Pulling on Rajah to follow, otherwise, she would just tug on her tail again, the deflated exceed just slowly floated after her slayer, mumbling under her breath all sorts of curses.

As D'angelo spoke, Ethel simply gave him an inquisitive look, studying him intently. Why did he always seem to have the most exaggerated movements when he spoke? It was puzzling Ethel, she was already a pretty terrible read on a person's mood and motives, to begin with. She couldn't think of anything similar to this kind of interaction as she quickly combed through her memories for anything to aid in this situation. Maybe Ariel? No...she shouldn't delve too much into those. While it was hard to tell the difference most of the time, she had learned to pick up what was hers or Ariel's over the last two years. And it would be considered rude to just look over someone else's memories purposely...at least that's what Ethel assumed from the various lectures she had received from Nolan on the subject. It wasn't her fault she had them now, was it...

Back to reality though, he seemed to be laughing at her. Did he really think she was joking? Why would she be joking about this matter? This was a serious matter, no time nor place for jokes here. Should she just pre-emptively strike and not give him an opening? Though he seemed to be assuring her he had just been trying to mess and joke around with her, she just tilted her head and repeated back a single word.

"Hug?"

All that....for a hug? She had no clue as to what kind of relationship he and Nolan shared, but it just seemed odd beyond belief to Ethel that he would act so suspiciously and try to lead her on....over a hug. At this point, Ethel should just let him get that hug in. Nolan would swiftly deal with him for suddenly embracing him like that, he wasn't one for much physical contact with anyone other than Ariel. And his big puppies from what Ethel had caught him doing before, not that she would ever admit she had. Nolan was scary when he was mad.

Wait-cousin? Nolan had a cousin?

Blinking, a puzzled expression soon began to form as she gave him an even more suspicious glare. She knew Nolan had siblings, but she couldn't recall anything about a cousin? Not a single word. Well, there might be something in Ariel's if she really dug...but privacy. Then again, they were already in her mind, so hadn't she seen them anyway? What difference did it really make? Something about ethics and morals? Honestly, the blue-haired girl couldn't wrap her head around it. But regardless, she had never heard of Nolan having a cousin....actually he didn't talk much about himself in general, most of what she knew she had gotten from Ariel, or from hanging around him long enough.

"So you came all the way here....to give Nolan a hug?" She didn't budge at all from his nudge, taking a moment to process the thought. Yeah, no. That didn't really add up. "Nolan's never mentioned a cousin to me or Ariel..."

Her gaze moved past D'angelo and towards Nolan and Ariel. Should she really interrupt and bring this suspicious individual over to them? She didn't want to ruin their moment, nor put either in danger. But as the human pudding said, Nolan was plenty strong. She knew that. She knew that he didn't need any protection, however, there was a big difference between that and just throwing him under a bus.

"Ethel can't really tell if you're lying or not, but you don't seem to be much of a threat so there's harm even if you did try something. Et-I'll let Nolan deal with you." Returning her gaze to the older boy, she gave a blunt assessment before gesturing for him to follow her. Honestly, she was just going in circles in her mind at this point so this was the best choice at this moment in time. This was why she didn't bother with most people, it just gave her a headache as her mind tried to calculate what the best or most appropriate action was to take.

"Excuse Ethel for intruding Nolan, Ariel, but someone here is claiming to be-" Now Ethel had missed the transformation talking to D'angelo and only just noticed that Ariel had nine, massive, fluffy tails swishing about. Her entire body and mind seemed to freeze as she slowly took in the scene before her.

Fluffy. Soft. Multiple tails.

There was only one action to take here; as if any normal person could resist!

"Oh my god when did you get such soft and fluffy tails Ariel!" Running over, Ethel immediately latched onto one of the tails that were still moving freely, nuzzling against it as any thoughts involving D'angelo flew out the window. The soft fluffiness was just so comforting....and smelled good as well. "Hehehe...so fluffy~" A gleeful giggle escaped her as she reached for another tail, taking solace in nuzzling the bushy tail.

Gah...he knew what both James and Amaya said on training too much was pretty spot on. Honestly, while it was certainly difficult to get into when he first started...now that was he used to his training, he mostly had an issue of losing track of time. He was only meant to training a few hours a day, but one time he trained for a day and a half before Ethel came and dragged him out of the training grounds only for him to promptly collapse. Boy, his ears were still ringing on that lecture.

But he was weak, even now he wasn't sure how strong he was. He had yet to really test himself proper without it being in a spar or on a mission with James, nothing to really compare himself to. So there was nothing wrong with wanting to be even stronger right? He couldn't afford to rest on his laurels with his level of strength and talent. Not if he actually wanted to not only protect others, but not require to be babysat by others in a fight.

But at that same time, they were right. Training too much was also no good. He had already learned that the hard way a few times thus far during his training. But that was also why he was here, right now. He still planned on doing some magic practice later, but suppose if he didn't get time there was time tomorrow, right?

"Well, that's unfortunate," Cody remarked as Josh spoke of the herb gathering. He hoped that Amaya could find a lead soon...maybe he could try to help her? And he was at least trying to be friendlier with Josh, there was no point in trying to avoid him after all they were still guildmates.

"And yeah, yeah I got the memo. I'll try to cut back the training....maybe invest in a clock or a watch something. But like, I need the training you know?" Jeez he wasn't going to drop that subject. As much as he knew training too much was bad for you...he also couldn't convince himself was training too much to begin with. He needed to work harder to even remotely catch up to those around him, let alone be of any use.

"And the S-Class exhibition huh. That should be pretty good actually, though I'm more interested to see if Damian or Nolan use some of their swordplay over the magic itself. Like I'm sure their magic has gone to an insane level once more, and I'm not saying I would be able to copy their moves...but like, it doesn't hurt to watch other swordsmen go about their styles right James?"

Well, she certainly got a few people riled up, but not many seemed keen on saying anything. Kinda disappointing really. She was certain that would fire them up and make a few more eager to volunteer, but oh well. Upon Enma stepping forth, Ash simply just smiled and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "Oh come now Enma! Water is absolutely terrifying! It's cold, wet and ew. In fact, I distinctly remember you throwing up at the sight of the water!" Ok, while she may be exaggerating, it was more a little ripping on behalf of the sea sick Enma she had encountered on their way to Tenrou. Man, what a terrible first impression he laid-out.

At Micheal's outburst however, she went silent for a moment. Slowly, she turned over her shoulder, a blank look about her as she stared at the celestial mage. Then slowly, she moved away from Enma and walked over, looking down at the younger man for a moment with a fierce look. But in the blink of an eye it melted away as she let out a loud laugh, slapping Micheal on the shoulder. "Hahaha you ain't half bad eh? Really putting these nobheads to shame, Prince is right come on and join us. I'm interested to see how ya magic works."

To be honest, Micheal had never really caught her eye before. Mostly because he kinda came off as....spineless? Maybe that was harsh, and she could see she was wrong on that before. But he didn't seem overly confident among other things which led her to that conclusion. But man, that was such a good zinger, she really couldn't even be mad about it coming from him!

Although at that thought...

"I...don't smell that bad right?" Taking a moment, she whiffed her armpits. She hadn't bathed since yesterday, but she also had only woken up not long ago. She couldn't smell yet right?

"But I am her servant." Shiro stressed. She wasn't sure how many times she and Meredith had argued over this little point, but the older lady was right in her thinking that this was an impossible argument. Not that Shiro or Manami had divulged much information or backstory on themselves, it was clear to see that there was that sort of relationship between the two. "I care not for your stupid antics Mr Baptiste. Just keep the idiocy to a mildly tolerable level around Lady Manami at the very least."

"Is that a request? Oh my, how bold~" With a soft smile gracing her features, Manami watched in amusement as Bullet stormed off and into the guild-hall. My, my he really did have a short fuse, didn't he? He really needed to learn how to relax a little, maybe some tea would help?

"Ah I asked Shiro to request Meredith prepare some tea for us. I must say, she has a rather magical touch with those leaves I'm afraid I'll never be able to match. Her tea is simply divine~" Humming softly as she answered the younger girl, she turned her attention to the newcomer as she felt her hand grabbed. For a moment, Manami tensed but upon realizing her own reaction, soon relaxed as her smile returned. "Oh no, the pleasure is all mine Ms Hadou." Returning the gesture with a brief courtesy, the group soon made their way inside where Zhulie and Regan broke off to go to the kitchen.

Manami considered joining them for a moment before Henri made his way over from the bar, and also proceeded to grab her hand and lay a kiss of his own upon it. Though Manami was rather used to Henri and his little greetings, which was simply met with a coy laugh and a sly grin. "I'm pretty sure I heard that from you yesterday as well Mr Baptiste, did you run out of material already?" Gratefully taking the seat offered to her, she took a moment to pat down the back of her dress before sliding onto the stool and gave Argus a courteous wave. "Good afternoon to you as well Mr Leandros, I pray you're doing well this fine day also?" She didn't seem to let on whether or not she had seen him fall over, but for now she was at least acting like she hadn't.

"Oops, my hand slipped." Looking up as a cup was placed beside her of steaming hot tea, she noticed Shiro move just as she poured a little on Henri's leg. There was no way in hell her hand slipped at all, it was blatantly obvious as she had to turn, reach over and then pour that small amount of still hot tea on the leg of the older mage. "I do profusely apologize Mr Baptiste, I was just so inspired by your earlier skills it must've rubbed off on me."

It was really hard to take an apology at face-value when a, it was absolutely not even remotely sounding genuine, b, her tone was smug and dry, and most importantly, c, she was holding back a snicker as she smugly looked down upon the seated mage. A real vindictive bitch she was.

"I mean, it's not like I did much really..." Sheepishly, Cody look away as Amaya began her explanation. As she said, they were guild-mates so he would've done the same for anyone in the guild...well maybe not quite to the extent he did. But he felt a pang of guilt as well. "...well other than put everyone else in danger." That so called 'fight' in which he protected her in? All he had done was stick his noise in and start the encounter after failing to keep his impulses in check and allowing the dark mages to bait him. With clenched fists at the memory, he went to speak again when Joshua came over and began ruffling Amaya's hair.

Of course, 'Mother Hen' was never far right? He thought it to be odd he wasn't with her.

Now it wasn't like he had anything against Josh or anything, well nothing personal really. But he felt himself tense up as the older man came over, though it would be a disappointment to the training he had received from James if he was to let it show on his face, as instead he wore just a slightly lesser smile than before. "Not particularly...bar a few uhh...stranger new members joining, not much has happened. Mind you, James and I haven't been back that long either after a long trip." Cody couldn't think of anything noteworthy to tell them. Well, there was one or two potential things, but he would rather not talk about that right now, and they were a more personal thing than a guild thing. "By foot? Why did you...Oh right, motion sickness."

Jasmine was stricken by the same ailment and had been rather vocal about it being a hassle, especially for someone who was used to travel by carriage and the like. She seemed to still be coming to grips with the fact she was now unable to do so. So of course Amaya must also travel by foot everywhere....well if nothing else, it would make for good training. Stamina was important for mages after-all, you never know when it might come in handy. As the thought of training went through his mind, an all too familiar-sounding footstep and voice drew his attention and his smile widened a bit more. "Hey James...when the hell did you even play bass?"

Shaking his head, even he wasn't sure when the Paladin had gotten the time to do this. Or maybe that's what he got up to after leaving Cody to his own devices during training? Who knew honestly, and all Cody could do was keep shaking his head. What couldn't James do?

His attention turned to Amaya as she spoke of the slayer training camp. Ah yes, he had heard a few things that had come of this. Not from Jasmine, in fact she seemed petrified to talk about it at all. No, he had heard more from his fellow guild members, though from what he heard...well, suddenly James didn't seem all that strict in comparison and he thanked his lucky stars. Not that being strict was bad, after-all one needed to keep their mind and body sharp and in top condition, and to do that, they needed to have discipline. But that? That was something else entirely.

"Hahaha I would imagine Amaya is stronger regardless of who trained her. Nothing trumps experience, right James?" At Cecilia's outburst, he reached up and patted the exceed on the head. "Though I'm sure she was glad to have you there. From what I heard, they were brutal on poor Jasmine. But she's tougher than even she thinks, I've had a few spars with her since and the difference was extraordinary."

Suppose it was time to answer James though now that he had let Amaya have her piece, turning back to the older man. "The exercises went well enough...I however lost track of time and uh...spent a little too long on the drills. I thought I would take a break before going back to finish doing some incantations later when I look to do some magic drills." Another sheepish look crept over his features as he reached back and scratched the back of his head. Honestly, as much as he would've rather talked to Amaya alone, the presence of James certainly made him feel more relaxed and he was showing as much.

"Ya know, same shit different day yeah? Bit boring to be perfectly honest though, might need to go crack some monsters together later to blow off some steam." Grinning, she gave a brief response back to Cailyn. If she wasn't already amused by the situation, then Enma's bite me comment and reaction certainly did the trick as her smile grew. And Keiko's reaction to being referred to as a stray almost had Ash in stitches, cover her mouth and looking away as she asked if Enma could be her master. "Holy...holy...crap...Bwahaha!" She couldn't help herself, the laughter bursting forth, falling onto her back as she held her sides. "Hahaha. You're...an absolute riot kid!" Well, Ash was certainly enjoying herself as she looked up as it seemed like everyone was introducing themselves, wiping another tear as she sat up.

"Da name is Ashlyn, but like just call me Ash yeah? A-Rank mage, pleasure to meet you little kitten." Now of course Ash had heard her name spoken by the others, but she couldn't help but refer to her as such. Especially after she seemed to take so well to the Stray comment. She was actually about to take Silver Wolf up on his offer of a job, since it would seem she wouldn't get that fight out of Enma today either, when Ammy made her announcement, an odd hush falling over the guild. Hell, even Ash went dead quiet, as one could sense the almost dead seriousness taking over her now as she stood up.

"Ya haven't even joined yet, so probs best if ya don't go on this one eh? I'm sure Enma here can keep ya company and get ya settled in." It was Ash's turn to ruffle Keiko's hair now, a beaming grin forming on the pyromancer's face. "Seems like they gonna need some biggins to take care of this mess the council made. Maybe another time eh Wolfy?" Nodding towards the earth slayer, before striding out confidently with a smirk plastered on her face towards Hunter.

"Ya Hunter, I'm always down to crack some skulls if ya'll have me." Of course the pyro mage was the first one to come out, especially for a job that no doubt involved some fighting. And an S-class mission at that? Hell, she didn't know when the next chance to go on one would crop up so she was almost frothing at the prospect of it. A lot of the A-Class jobs were dangerous, just like how Ash liked it. So an S-Class one? Oh boy. She was aware however that her outspoken, brash attitude did rub a lot of people the wrong way. But fuck em right? if they didn't like it, they could settle it in the ring. That shut a lot of people up very quickly as she had established that she was far from just a big talker, she could walk the walk.

But she could sense a kindred spirit in Hunter. While sure, their reasons for fighting no doubt differed, he also had a reputation not dissimilar to Ash's and he was one she had very high on her to fight list. Could be a good chance to arrange one of those bouts he liked to have even!

She spoke a little louder as she glanced over her shoulder, crossing her arms over her chest as she smugly looked back at the quiet mob of mages. "Besides, looks like da rest of dis clowns seem to be shaking in der boots over a little announcement. And here I thought dis look had a lot more backbone eh?"

Was she purposely provoking them? Well, obviously. Ash had no tact or subtlety about her, but surely those words would stir a bit more action from the dead quiet crowd.

At Penny's words and comforting embrace, the blonde seemed to relax considerably, even allowing a grin to form again. "Y-yeah we do..." Perhaps Jasmine's reaction to seeing Penny was indeed over the top, but if Jasmine was certainly the type to wear her heart on her sleeve, for better or worse. But she had really missed the older girl, so there was nothing in showing it right? And while Jasmine was sure Penny would have more stories to share than she would, it didn't mean that she didn't have her own number of impactful adventures during these last two years. Any day with Rajah is filled with its own exciting challenges, whether that also be for better or worse.

Though now that she realized she had put on such a pitiful emotional display in front of the gathered audience, well, now she was burying herself into Penny for reasons other than being afraid of Nolan. Now she was just embarrassed. Rajah would probably laugh at her if she saw this little outburst....wait. Where was Rajah? Blinking as she looked up to try and spot the flying mischief-maker, that was when she saw Trinity handing the swearing and screaming cat...and she had a collar on now?

"Unhand me you fucking foul cretin! Who are you to dare touch me! I'm giving you once more chance to remove this before I-" She had been like this the entire time that Damian had punted her. From the moment she had left his boot, to the moment Trinity had caught her, even while Karn had been holding her. She was just going off her nutter, throwing curses and insults around like it was going out of style. But man, was she going wild. Jasmine had missed this so was confused why Rajah was so upset, but her stream of insults was finally cut off as Jasmine reached and smothered the cat into her side.

"Don't just fly off like that Rajah! Wait...why do you have a collar? Who did this?" Looking from the cat, who was making annoyed, yet too muffled to make out what she was saying noises into her shirt, to Trinity, it didn't take much to work out who did it. "R-rajah isn't a pet! Don't collar her!"

It was hard to take her anger seriously though, between her flushed expression and the pout she was making as she went to take the collar off. Rajah was an exceed, effectively a person. It was cruel and demeaning to put a collar on her! I mean...it might teach the exceed a lesson, but that wasn't the point! Jasmine was starting to get a grasp on how to best handle the furball, and all this would do is annoy Rajah and make it impossible to handle her properly!

"Waah! They were picking on me Jaz!" Finally getting free of Jasmine's shirt, the exceed climbed up and hugged her shoulder, and began letting out some of the most obvious crocodile tears ever seen. Hell, not even Jasmine was falling for this trick. She had done something again, hadn't she? "Just....go get something to eat Rajah. And please behave."

@samreaper

Ethel watched as the strange, pudgy man began to...dance as he responded to her? Her gaze following him, unchanging and frosty as he spoke, even as he made a mention about her eyes, even making a weird gesture to her. Just who the hell was this guy? And why was he so...overwhelmingly friendly and energetic? She could practically feel the pure, unfiltered excitement radiating off every fiber of his being, his entire presence just being so....bright? Yeah, bright was the right term for it. One's presence was unique, different from everyone else even if it was subtle. But this? There was nothing subtle about this, it was just different from anything else she had experienced.

"This hood was a gift..." Rubbing the fabric between her fingers fondly for a moment, she soon turned her full attention back to D'angelo as the music died back down. She still hadn't gotten a proper read on him yet...but he didn't seem like a bad guy? Like there was no way someone could have such a bright and pure presence and be bad right? "And yeah I know where he is."

Her eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke in a much more serious tone. Now, Ethel was a terrible read of a person for the most part. But like, she was good at picking up the obvious hints or using their presence as an indicator for someone's intentions. And this just seemed...so shady, the way he spoke and changed attitude all of a sudden. His presence remained the same however, that was one thing that no one could hide. So it left the girl conflicted. What was his business with Nolan anyway? He seemed more than happy to talk about it, without actually mentioning what it was. Before she could question him on that subject, however, his attention was soon stolen away by a flying, punted Rajah screaming obscenities, who's path Ethel watched on blankly as she went overhead.

Ok. That was weird, but now surely she could...nope. On that line of thought, thinking she could finally get D'Angelo back on track! But of course, he was immediately distracted once more by someone's entrance. She really needed to get him to calm down here, but would she be able to? He was obviously easily excitable...maybe a good bonk on the head? Would stone suffice? Or would that be too hard...hmm it was difficult wasn't it. If he was an enemy it would be easier to decide, no mercy would be shown. But she didn't want to hurt someone just because they acted suspiciously....or rather she didn't want to be scolded for doing that. Again.

Wait, fluffy tails? Just who the hell had entered the guild? Ethel couldn't find of anyone with such a remarkable and noteworthy appearance at all! This was definitely something she would remember.

But once more Ethel couldn't get a word in with D'angelo's energy and excitment at literally anything happening barely gave her time to react or process what was happening. Was he shaking her right now? Like a ragdoll? Yes, yes he was. Now she was just getting annoyed. Was it really that unbelievable that Nolan found himself a girlfriend? Well, suppose he was afraid of women. Everyone knew that. It had taken a little while for him to get used to Ethel, and...could she even consider herself human at this point? She knew a lot of people didn't...

Oh great, he was rocking her. Again. And gushing absolute nonsense, again. But the most annoying thing about this all....was having to fight the rising excitement she felt welling up inside of her as well. She was originally leaving to get some fresh air because of all the excitement in the air threatening to drive her over the edge, and that was nothing compared to the energy emanating from D'angelo himself alone. It really took her all of her willpower and training to keep the emotion from overwhelming and bursting forth from her. Frankly, it was making her sick to her very core. But she didn't let that show as she was blankly rocked back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Repeatedly. Was he done yet? Where did he keep all this energy anyway? Surely he shouldn't be so large with how much energy he was burning right? So many questions went through the girl's mind before he finally stopped, seemingly realizing what he was doing and apologizing.

"That's fine. Eth-I don't really care. Just show some restraint, as others might." Fixing up some hair that had been shaken loose, her gaze once more pierced into him as he asked to see Nolan. "It's not really that exciting....it's just Ariel. They've been dating for over two years now. At least according to Ethel's memory."

And she more than anyone else knew about their relationship. More than anyone else would probably want or should know in all honesty.

"I guess I can take you to him." She paused, looking over to where Ariel and Nolan were. Should she interrupt? Then again, it wasn't like they were alone. But also, she had yet to descern this mans motive...in fact she hadn't learned anything really. Just that he was excitable. She didn't even know his name, let alone his purpose. What if bringing him other put Nolan in danger? Well not that she really feared for his safety, Nolan was more than capable of defending himself. But it was still a possibility.

All this thinking was making her headache. Or was that all the excitment? The rocking? She wasn't even sure at this point.

"But first...what business do you have with him? Ethel is curious." She seemed to think for a moment, stroking her chin as she spoke in a soft mumble before her gaze returned to lock with D'angelo. "Ethel wants to know....friend, foe, ally, family, a request? You stated something about 'giving him what he deserves', I want to know what that is. If you're a threat, then I will eliminate you. Eradicate. Butcher. Ethel-I will not let anyone harm him, Ariel or anyone else." To accompany her terrifying words was just a simple blank look. Like what she said was the most natural thing to say.

The thought of no enemy would be stupid enough to walk into a packed guild like this in broad daylight didn't even dawn on the girl. To her, D'angelo was simply a mysterious and potentially dangerous element. One that she would put down without a second thought if he answered wrongly, and with her cloak's power currently not active, her intent to do so was beginning to spill out.

"If not, then I'll let you see him. Simple, yes?"

"I see." Akemi echoed the same words as Tone did. So the stadium was off-limits after all? Not surprising to Akemi seeing as she had never even seen the place used, and similar buildings of importance tended to be owned by local authorities and the like or the crown. Though the girl didn't leave the coliseum till Tone spoke up, articulating his frustration at the prospect of the duo having plans. Why exactly did he think they were together like this in the middle of a festival? The only reason they had come over this way after all was because of the ruckus Tone had caused. Of course, Akemi was ironically oblivious to Tone's own density and lack of social graces on this matter.

"Maybe later?" Akemi suggested as kept talking, looking at Zen with a slightly tilted head. "Date?" What did her being with Zen have to do with fruit? Once more her lack of social awareness shone through as she blinked at the older boy as he left. It would seem Zen would most certainly have to clarify this. "Hey Z, what does he mean by date? Is this a date? What's a 'date'?"

All while she asked these questions, she peered up at him, an aura of innocent energy around her burning so brightly it would be as blinding as she was oblivious to the awkward nature of her line of questioning.

If there was one thing that she was grateful for having Menzai around for, it was his sharp mind and intellect. It was perhaps a little too sharp and perceptive for her liking, but it certainly made things a lot easier and meant fewer explanations when someone could quickly grasp what you were telling them. Also for the silence. The less talking meant the more planning she could focus her energy on. His mind also thought of many possibilities and issues at once, much like herself as he spoke about her own capabilities. While she was fitter than she let others believe, long treks like this were certainly not a regular thing for the fragile appearing girl. Walking for as long as they did together wasn't all that tiring, however now as the day grew older, the legs became a bit wearier and energy levels would begin to dip as hunger levels rose, it was indeed a fair point that she was probably not up to the task. Plus there were dangers to traveling at night which she would rather avoid.

She also appreciated holding back his interest in her magic. It was something she would rather not explain in detail, you never know when even a small bit of info could bring about one's downfall. Especially when it comes to their capabilities. And she had yet to see his own magic in action, yet he was most certainly going to see hers soon enough, giving him an advantage in her eyes which she didn't want to further much more than she needed to let happen.

It wouldn't be long till they reached the tree she spoke of, Alina finally looking up from her journal before closing it with a soft sigh. Suppose it was about time then huh? Waiting for Menzai to come to a stop before slowly dropping off onto her feet, hugging the bundle of clothes and her pouch to her chest as she eyed the wolfman over her shoulder. "Stay here a moment....and uh don't be too startled upon my return yeah? My magic tends to leave a lasting impression." She considered making a joke about not peeping on her, but he seemed far too serious a stick in the mud to do that. And honestly, might be offended at the suggestion if the criminal joke she had made earlier was any indication.

And if he actually did? Well, fair play to him I guess.

Scurrying out of sight behind the tree, she quickly stripped down to her birthday suit before closing her eyes. Visualize. Capture the image of what you wanted to become, center in on it, and focus on the details. From the man's wavy brown hair to his rippling muscular frame. It was always hardest the first time transforming into a new form, just the effort and thought required to remember every single detail to get it down pat was insane. The second, third, etc times were always easier, her body would have begun to remember the form. But for now, she could just feel herself swell in size, both in terms of frame and height. It was also why she didn't transform clothed, her previous attire would've been too small and been shredded, a problem she would look to correct with time. But also, she was afraid of something going wrong in the larger clothing. Didn't want to get twisted up in a form she wasn't familiar with.

It was over in under a minute. Normally she would be able to shift quicker, but the first time really did require a lot of concentration as she opened her eyes, taking a few moments to adjust to her newer burlier form, looking down at her clenched fist, which she would clench and unclenched a few more times as she adjusted to the body. Unbeknownst to her, her scent had also considerably changed. Before, it was a subtle, clean smell of ink and tea. Now it was more of sweat, testosterone, and flowers.

After getting changed into the new clothes and stashing her old ones into her now hilariously smaller than the new body pouch, she called out to Menzai, though straining herself to talk with her usual voice rather than the one more suited to this body. "I'm done."

With that said, she would come striding out from behind the tree, having to duck down to avoid a lower hanging branch which hadn't bothered her when she had previously gone by. She had taken note of it, and luckily she had or the height gain might've earned her a branch to the face. Putting on a nervous facade as she approached Menzai, who was seeing this as if one of the strapping young lads from earlier had just materialised from where Alina had disappeared off to. Stretching an arm, she would take her position up on the other side to Menzai, shooting him a toothy grin as she got prepared to move the cart.

"So whatcha think? Pretty convincing yeah?" She had even imitated their voice.

The sudden embrace from Amaya certainly caught the young man off-guard, awkwardly just sitting there for a moment as he took a moment to process the contact. In fact, that was a lie. He seemed to be frozen on the spot for the entirety of the hug, barely able to grasp what was happening right now. It was a good thing he was sitting down, otherwise it would've been very difficult for her to hug him like this. He finally reacted when Cecilia sat atop his head, frowning slightly but otherwise not saying anything to the cat. He wasn't sure what it was about his head that Cecilia liked, but she liked to use him as a seat. And like, the cat wasn't that heavy so it didn't mind the young man thus the lack of a complaint, but it did puzzle him nonetheless.

"Ah...yeah, always good to see you as well." Realising he hadn't really said anything, with his brain seemingly failing to work after the unexpected hug, he managed those words with a bit of an awkward tone. Luckily for him though that awkwardness mostly got covered up by the music that now blared throughout the guild-hall. Glancing towards the stage, he was very much curious as to what the hell was going on over there. But honestly, he had a rough idea so it could wait till later.

The more pressing issue right now was that Amaya was talking about a festival and asking him to go with her to it....once more his mind just seemed to break apart. Festival...with Amaya. Better with people that mean something? He couldn't believe what he was hearing. She really had changed a lot over the last two years!

"Ah...sure...I mean yeah, of course I would love to! Sounds like fun." Snapping from his daze, he went to energetically nod his head but stopped just before he would. Right, he had a cat sitting on him. Probably best not to throw her off. She might claw him by accident, or do even worse.

"After all, you mean a lot to me as well."

Silverbranch Glade -> Wolven Pyre Guild Hall

There wasn't many things more relaxing than a stroll through the forest just outside of town, or at least to Manami there wasn't. Only things she could think of to top it would be a relaxing hot bath or hot spring trip, or maybe some small talk over a cup of tea or coffee. And a few biscuits or scones or something of the sort to go down with the hot beverages. Hmm just the thought had Manami craving a nice fresh cup of caromile or honey tea, or maybe jasmine or oolong. Honestly, even some cheap tea wouldn't go astray.

At that thought, she decided to cut her little stroll short, looking over her shoulder to see where Shiro had gotten herself to. The younger lady was always close by, even if Manami had invited her on the little trip she knew she would've tailed her. She had known Shiro too long to not be able to predict her movements, and sure enough she was strolling just a little further behind. It wasn't that Shiro was pretending not to follow her, she had scolded Shiro enough about it that there's no way her loyal friend would want that again. No, she seemed more intent on taking in the surroundings, but not to partake in the beauty of nature like Manami. More like, scanning for threats and other such pointless thoughts.

Manami sighed. She couldn't blame Shiro for the paranoia, but even after all this time here in the Silverbrance Glade she hadn't relaxed once. If she didn't know Shiro so well, she would be concerned for her well-being with her being so on edge all the time. But she was was like this, so no use worrying about it.

Gesturing to the white-haired girl that she was heading back to the guild-hall that they had basically been calling home for the last few months, Manami increased to a brisker pace. It wouldn't take them long, only maybe twenty minutes, before the guild hall came into view. Or rather, the tree that made up the guild-hall. It truly was a sight to behold, no matter how many times she had seen it by now she couldn't help but stand and admire it for a few seconds. Though as she went to continue, her gaze locked onto the group approaching the tree not that far from herself.

"Shiro, be a dear and head back to the guild-hall ahead of me. I'm sure Meredith will get some tea ready if you ask her."

"...."

"Please."

"...Fine, but do not take too long."

"Thank you, you really are a sweetie Shiro~"
"....."

Silently, Shiro shook her head and went ahead as asked. Now alone, Manami clasped her hands together and moved to intercept the trio, taking a moment to let a wide grin form, albeit a somewhat noticeably forced one.

"Ah, Zhulie dear, did you have to go and retrieve young Bullet again? I do wish he would stay in bed and rest, or do as he was told for once in general. Meredith won't be pleased with him." With long, elegant strides, Manami approached the group with her head tilted and resting on the palm of her hand. "Oh? And you even found a new friend? A pleasure to meet you, I'm Manami."

While Manami talked with the group that came in from outside, Shiro was already slipping into the guild after taking a moment to observe her surroundings. There seemed to be a few groups scattered about, but she didn't even register most of them. They were insigificant and didn't even deserve the brain power. The only one she was interested in the moment was Meredith, and so she made her way to the bar just as Henri began his nut catching trick.

"....You're awfully proud of your plain woeful display of skill, or lack thereof, Mr Baptiste." Came the short and sharp, icy cold tone of Shiro's voice as she strode past the seated duo of Argus and Henri, taking the next stool and promptly sitting down without even a glance their way. "Lady Manami asked me to request some tea Mrs Clagnan, so whatever you have in stock at the moment will suffice please. She isn't overly picky on her tea." While her tone didn't change, her words certainly shifted greatly as she talked to Meredith.

"Ms Pesta also seems to be dragging that annoying pest back, along with bringing a guest along. So maybe an extra pot of tea in case they wanted some as well."

Just like any other day for the pyromancer, it began with a late start. No doubt by the time most of her guildmates got to the guild, she was only just stirring from her long slumber. Kicking off her blankets and blearily glanced over at the window, narrowing her eyes and mumbling about the bright light filtering in through the dark coloured blinds. Of course it would be bright though, it was past noon. With a yawn and ruffling of her hair, Ash slowly slide out of her bed and stretched her arms out wide. God her head hurt. Maybe that drinking challenge with a few of her fellow mages last night went a little too far, but she was never one to turn down a challenge. Unless it involved swimming or the sort, fuck that noise! She would rather sprint through town doing a handstand stark naked.

Groggily making her own to her bathroom to have a shower and try to wake up even a little bit more, she couldn't hold back the content sigh as the absolutely steaming hot water washed over her. No one on earth bar Ash would ever have the shower turned only onto the hot tap, but this was the only way she could use the shower without freaking out, so who cares if she used all her hot water in one go....not like she had to share with anyone else.

After her shower and getting changed into her usual attire, she supposed she should go and check out if there was any new jobs at the guild. Sure, she had only returned from a job like yesterday, but she was already itching for a fight and by this point, there were very few in the guild who wanted to spar with her. At first, there were plenty of keen challengers and accepters of a challenge from Ash. But it didn't take long for a lot of the...weaker minded guild members to reconsider such plans in the future as she proceeded to absolutely body the majority of them, her over the top aggression and lack of ability to hold back giving a few of them some less than desirable results. Of course, there were a few in the guild that could go to to toe with the former dark mage, and even a few she couldn't beat. But that just drove her even further, fueled by the challenge of beating someone like a Hunter instead of just going a few rounds and eventually losing.

After-all, once she could beat them, she would be better placed to beat that old man.

She could try Enma? That was someone she wanted to fight for a while, since their days in Frenzy Plant really, but for one reason or another they hadn't gotten round to it yet. Today could be the day? Who knows, she would have to see if he was even in town first. Or maybe Hunter could be down for a bout. Irregardless, she would have to go to the guild hall to find out what her next move at any rate.

After initially starting out like a zombie, by the time she got to the guild-hall her trademark, aggressively energetic smile was plastered all over her face as she 'lightly' kicked the doors open. Sure, she could've pushed them open like a normal person. But it was so much more satisfying to hear the loud bang the doors made when she did this, and everyone in the guild hall was sure to know who it was by such an entrance as well. "And what's going on here eh? Got bloody half the guild over er' so must be important." Upon entry, the first thing Ash saw was the small gathering near the front and sauntered on over, a deep chuckle escaping her as she leaned her elbow atop of Enma's head during Keiko's barriage of questions. "Hahaha finally got a fangirl did ya big guy? Congrats, told ya there would be a weirdo out there who would!"

"Hahaha...ha...ha....but seriously, who's the kid?" Wiping a few tears from her eyes as her laughter died down, she pointed down towards the white haired girl. Ash had either not noticed observer, or was ignoring it. Either possibility wouldn't surprise anyone. "Prince find a stray out front or something?"
