So how's that decision-making process going for ya?

Aye. After breakfast.

“Mn…” The girl grumbled as she skidded backward as the kick sent her back. “…damn it.”

The older man made a few remarks, calling them brats but commending them for their skill at the same time. She wasn’t sure how to take it. Her weapons were temporarily scattered; the first one had been in Auron’s hands for a minute when he kicked her square in the stomach while the other one tumbled to the ground in the scrap heap as her hand pressed against her stomach. She was certain when the older man got knocked back he had dropped her weapon. His strength was clear, not that it surprised her. He was older, more experienced, and had pretty much any advantage on her and the rest of the freshmen huntsman.

Her brows remained narrowed as she removed her hand from her gut and moved forward to where one of her swords had landed and slammed her foot on the flat blade causing it to twirl into the air before she snatched it with her right hand. She looked at Auron carefully, though she wasn’t quite so sure he was done toying with them. If there’s anything she knew was that she needed to be always on her guard. The fight could very well continue. The jeers from the crowd that had formed whiffed over her like background noise as she focused on the task at hand.

“Not bad for an old man.” She remarked as she tightened her grip on the weapon in her hand.
I'll wait for the others to reply.

“Can’t say we’ve had a diver off ol’ Dieu in my time. I don’t see why not.”

The older man shook his head when the man asked if it was okay to light up a cigarette. The boy definitely looked like the city type.

“Do as you like.”

Another girl moved from the assortment on the ferry, the soft hum of rap music apparent as she moved closer and closer to the others near him, though he would not have described the hum as soft. He never particularly liked such music. Her inclination was to immediately ask him where the booze was holed up at and it made his wry smirk widen. A bunch of city types and they still couldn’t appreciate the rural country for what it was—peaceful and serene, far from the hustle and bustle. Then again, old habits were hard to erase. Not that he’d judge. He was a bit of a drinker himself. Though, they wouldn’t relate to that for much longer.

“The hotel has a good bar.” He said as the island got closer-and-closer. “If that’s not your kind of place you have two other bars in the city.”

Location: City Sewers, The City-State of Thorinn, Aetheria

Rael twirled her spear, the rat’s blood splattering on the wall behind her as she came to face Graves, Kallie, Alja, and the corpses of the rats that littered this particular corridor of Thorinn’s sewer system.

The smells were still awful and even a few weeks after the glitch she hadn’t completely gotten used to it.

Murky water. Rat shit. Rot. These were not the kind of things that the normal stomach got used to and before today she had never climbed into a sewer before. She had lost her lunch over it and Graves had made fun of her for it while Alja made a big-bellied laugh at her expense. It was funny, yeah, she had to admit. She still didn’t like being the butt of anyone’s jokes, however, and filed the disservice into the annals of her brain. It was here minutes-upon-minutes later and they were here still doing the job.

Benkei had stayed behind. Siegfried and Sif had their own errands. Rael wasn’t even sure she had seen Kazuki for most of the morning before she and Graves decided to find some busywork. Had the city sewers been a dungeon she would’ve been a little worried, but Graves was sufficient albeit unpleasant about keeping everyone’s wounds in order. Not that anyone of them had gotten injured yet. After all, it was just a bunch of rats.

She sighed, “That’s another group of them taken care of.”

Kallie said something about patching their armor as Graves removed his sword from the rat’s body.

Rael didn’t think much of it as she looked at her clothes. There was only so much patchwork could do. Eventually everyone was going to have to buy new clothes and armor, though most wayfarers were hoarding now. The group that left for the dungeon was one of the few groups that had initiative. When Benkei suggested their group join them after barely surviving the dungeon during the glitch she knew what Sif and Siegfried were going to say before they said it. Others were unsure. The Japanese student opted to go if everyone agreed with it. Turns out not everyone did, so she found something else to do. The town guard they had spoken to, Githa, had told them that the root of the infestation had to be dealt with and that they’d get full payment for destroying the nest. Rael had never exterminated rats back in Japan so she didn’t know how rats worked. All she knew is that after six dire rats and several of their offspring she was already bored of it.

How long would it take to search out the whole sewers? The rats they had killed were increasing in number so they were clearly in the right direction.

She peered around a corner, down another corridor. She heard movement in the pitch black darkness, little rats moving in the water somewhere down the way.

“More corridors. Still no nest.”
Pinging Kenshi in the post seems like its only going to frustrate them more that they were removed from the RP, I think. But fortunately pinging doesn't ping in edits.
@Dark Cloud Which is fine. If you hadn't reserved the next post, the rest of us could have just been talking IC, which we're probably going to end up doing anyway.

I don't think we would've posted more IC posts in like six hours between. It's fine, lol.
@mattmanganon

Yeah, its almost like one is a GM and we discussed it beforehand.

As for you, well, I'd like to have a more length analysis so it doesn't appear we've wasted your time waiting on us this long (but Bounce is busy, I've been swamped with other projects, and Hound's work ate him) but I just don't see this working out. There's multiple concerning issues and there's past compatibility issues to take into account. Sorry, man, it's gonna be a no.
More Halflings? Good. Lawrick needs more to kickstart his biscuit-selling MLM.

Hoping to see some humans, though...
I figure in a world taken over by evil Halflings are desperate for a nice green field and a place to call home. Probably still making the best of whatever dank dingy hidey hole they can find. Still trying to bring a little light. Sounds good to me.

This is why commas are your friends! I'm not imagining a world conquered by evil halflings and their steep control of the food economy.
