Virginia tensed up slightly as the man approached her, but she was able to quickly realize that he was not a combatant. He was merely someone who would assist her with her dead. Mary may not have been a Crypt by blood, yet Virginia still called Mary one of her own - now more than ever. "If I do not return, she is Dame Commander Mary Hale, Arch Graveolase, and will require a proper Catholic burial. And I...I am the Lady Virginia Margaret Crypt. Should I not return, please place my body on a barge and set it ablaze. That will be enough for Veliona."
"Send word to the Russian Imperial Circus in London if those events do come to pass," Virginia added. "And thank you." She then took off in the direction of the voices. The variation in accents struck her as curious - though she supposed it made sense. Not all of Great Britain had the same accent. Of course, she could have sworn she heard the accent of the Russian Circus earlier. Perhaps it was Elizaveta - or perhaps it was someone coming to search for her. Time and space had been behaving oddly as of late.
Maeve Brennan
Location: Kirkpatrick House Skills: N/A
Maeve nodded, swallowing thickly. Her sloth had caused her to not be able to confess to Calum her feelings - but that was life. Her heart would mend quickly, as they had not known each other for very long, and she might love again. Or she might not. She had a daughter to worry about - someone else to focus on and give all of her protection and love. She whispered a silent prayer that Roisin would be safe and sound - that she would grow up cared for and guarded in Rome.
She readied her weapon at the sound of hooves, only to frown with distaste as she heard the voice of an Englishmen. She did not like the English. She approved of Lady Kirkpatrick's remark. "I see de English prowess av observashun is not lackin'," Maeve scoffed. Anyone with half a brain would have been able to tell that a Soulless attack had occurred - but that was her mistake, right there. The English didn't have brains. One of them was too cowardly to even contemplate leaving the carriage. It was pathetic.
"Reddish - that's the other one, right?" Gene asked, quite unhelpfully. Gene studied the lock first, figuring it made the most sense to begin at the start of this crime. The lock had been tampered with - it had been a forced entry - which caused the list of suspects to increase from just Reddish and Vera herself to a far greater number. She wasn't able to glean much else information wise - not yet, at the least. "Lady Munn, they didn't use a key - look, see? Been jimmied open," Gene explained, trying to draw Lady Munn's attention to the lock.
Nora frowned, noting that Lady Munn was right to be worried about their items below deck. This sort of adventure - it didn't seem to mesh well with the social norms and expectations. Perhaps they should have taken meals in their cabins and kept all of the fragile items with them at all times, customs be damned. "Someone has committed a robbery," she told Lauren in a soft voice. At least they were all fine.
However, as Nora glanced around the room she noticed something suspicious in her own right - it was too messy. Things were torn up and thrown all about without any sort of sense to it. "...They were hiding their tracks..." Nora then whispered. The criminal that committed this crime, they hadn't wanted them to know what they had been looking for in the first place so they turned the entire room upside down. The only logical reason to not want them to know what had been taken or searched for, in Nora's mind, was if it was of some clue in its own.
"Someone broke into Lady Munn's room," Gene told her brother. "And I don't doubt they were covering their tracks. This sort of chaos just isn't right - it'd be like my almost sister of sorts going through and trying to make a mess...She's too orderly for her own good...Anyways, Lady Munn, deep breaths and let's start getting things sorted. We'll be able to find what's missing that way, if anything."

Walnut blinked, her eyes adjusting from the relative low lighting of the previous room as she entered this new place. It was so bright and reflective that it took her a few moments in order to focus properly. And while it was an assault on the senses, Walnut could not help but notice the way that Titian showed his displeasure for the space. She had yet to see him not in an amused mood. And even now, it seemed that nothing could quite temper his mirth. "I think you would need to do more than extinguish a few candles to dim this light," Walnut commented.
"But yes, we shall continue," she affirmed. Stepping through the door, Walnut found herself within a corridor. She glanced down the hallway, noting that she had emerged at one end of it. Assuming the manor was not built with large irregularities, she had to assume that some of the doors towards the end of the hallway would run parallel to the grand vestibule - and perhaps, there would be some hidden alcove that could be accessed from that direction as well. That would be highly convenient.

"You guys had the mutant master of magnetism too?" Andromeda asked James, before she couldn't help but break out into an honest smile. As much as she couldn't relate her own timeline to the experiences of the others present, that little commonality - that was enough to make her feel better. She then blushed slightly and tugged on the ends of her hair as James told her that her albino looks looked good on her. "...Thanks," she said, giving James a peck on the cheek that could be read as flirtatious or affectionate. Andromeda made sure of that.
She then took a few steps backwards and grabbed onto a piece of the net, going to help James load it back into the truck since the others seemed to be busy. Faith and Gilbert had headed back into the kitchen house. She couldn't help but read Gilbert's approach as an attempt at another power move - the only way to properly combat what Management had just done would be to simply ignore it and move on with one's life, business as normal.
Cecily couldn't help but feel nervous, having Roy leave with Gavin. She didn't known Lincoln very well, but from what she could tell he seemed to be genuine. That was more than could be said for most of the people she had met lately. She didn't know where she stood with Caesar. Roy was the only person she could trust - and maybe Gavin, assuming he didn't have some dark secret in his closet. It troubled her a bit how easily he had found her. And she was having a bit of doubt as well that someone would be that kind, to drop everything for a stranger...It didn't make sense to her. She was just confused.
Once they left and Cecily and Lincoln headed to the lounge, she spotted the exits and made a mental note of them as she sat down. The ring on his left ring finger - that stood out to her. Hadn't they only been engaged, not married? Why was he wearing a ring - was it just in mourning of what could have been? "...Maybe it is a nightmare..." Cecily said quietly to Lincoln. "And maybe you will wake up...but...I can't help but notice you're wearing a ring - I thought you two were engaged?" Cecily said softly.

"Hey, at least I'd be the first at somethin'," Jack said with a good natured half smile. Of course, the majority of his attention was on the bundle of joy he was carrying. He was holding everything he could already, with the baby in the car seat in his arms and he slung the baby bag over his shoulder as well, exiting the car. Following Ash along, Jack grimaced as he looked at his friend. He didn't spot anything obvious at first for getting inside - but it would turn out, he didn't need to.
He grinned, seeing Tatiana come running down the street. It was such a relief to see her. He had been worried for a moment that they would have gone through all of that, just to lose each other again. But mercifully, the world had not decided to be that cruel - at least not at this moment. Hearing then that all of the enemies in the home had been taken care of also put a smile on his face, as he protectively carried their son as quickly as he dared in the direction Tatiana had come from. He didn't want to drop his son or anything inside of the baby bag.
Beatrice Decker
Location: Quincy: Inside House (C9 --> G6) Skills: N/A
"Got it," Beatrice told Manny, as he explained that Alex would be the preference for a transfusion. She heard Alex explaining there was something else they could use to vent the room with, but she wasn't certain what he was holding up. She helped Thalia on over to the fireplace, figuring that Thalia wouldn't be able to get very far without her like this - and after seeing Thalia on drugs, that was probably for the best. Thalia's explanation sounded plausible - yet Beatrice was also a bit skeptical about it.
"Alright, crack the window open slightly Alex please," Beatrice said without hesitation. She trusted Thalia. And her plan did have a sort of mad sense and reason behind it. It was better than the smashing of a window that Alex had briefly mentioned. "I can stay up and take watch, tend to the fire. The rest of you, get some sleep. If Thana doesn't come back, we're doing the transfusion tomorrow any way. And then we'll be planning out when it'll be safe to move. We can't stay here long."

Here are the floor plans to use as reference during this mission. While the rooms are stated with residential names, that does not mean that is what you will find in there. In headers, I'll be referring to locations with the following format [Actual Location - i.e. laboratory] (what it's called on the map). If you're confused, just copy from Novikova or Ray's header.
Hawkeye was in command of a five person team: Agent Victoria Thompson (badass), Agent Freddie Flynn (ex-OMEN), Agent Bonnie Chase (biochemistry), and Agent Harry McCormick (communications). The team had been nicknamed the Secret Warriors. Some figured that those on it were on the shortlist for Avengers consideration, but that hadn't quite panned out yet - and most people forgot that Hawkeye was an Avenger at any rate. "Agent Reed," Bonnie said, giving her old friend a hug. "I've got Kennedy," Bonnie then said. She had the most medical knowledge of anyone present.
Jim wasn't able to hold on much longer and he slipped back into his human form, falling unconscious. Bonnie grabbed a medical kit from her bag and started to attend to him. Clint motioned for the others to stand back and give the team scientist some space to work with. "Reed - any chance you and McCormick can get communications with the other team up?" Hawkeye asked with a frown. He didn't like this. "If not...Thompson, Flynn, and myself can go retrieve them."
@Kirah@Nallore: Niah will hear everything that happened next. There was a new voice in the room where Rhodes and Lee were - feminine, young, perhaps just a teenage girl. "I'm bored of this." Niah would then hear what sounded like a gust of wind, as if it had all rushed at Sami or Griffin at once, and then the sound of a neck snapping. A body dropping to the ground. Moments of silence. And then....a panicked Griffin trying to defend himself against his foe. His foe? Luminous. And as luck will have it, a communication will come through on Maria's radio: "OUT OF THE SHADOWS AND INTO THE LIGHT!"
@BlueSky44: Before Sparky could step out into the open on the roof, Nikolai appeared and he grabbed her from behind, putting his hand around her mouth so she couldn't scream. "Quiet or we die," Nikolai warned. Once he knew that Sparky wouldn't rush forward and would stay in their relatively obscured position - the door to the roof kept just open enough for them to see what was happening - he'd let go of her. The guards were all waiting up on the roof as Von Bardas expected.
There was then some sort of machine that was vibrating at a painful frequency to hear - and it seemed to be screaming as if it were alive. It was producing a gigantic beam that was going upwards and hitting the clouds, without any apparent purpose behind it. Yet as an electrical engineer, Sparky would know what it was.
Foes will appear on the map once they are 'discovered' and will be denoted by an X. Rooms will be noted once they have been cleared by the team as well.
"It's a trap, ma'am," Novikova told Tinley, staying as calm as she could. She put her glasses back on a moment later, having gotten used to them and she had gotten a bit of a headache from the use of her powers. "They knew we were coming...We were sold out..." The silver haired agent then hesitated, looking around for Sparky and her eyes widened. Her best friend was nowhere to be seen. "We can't let anyone go up to the roof or...or...they'll be gone." She took another breath. The images were still present in her mind.
I'm trying to run a goddamn country without the western world deciding to come over here and decide how things should go! Von Bardas mentally snapped at Tinley. However, Tinley would get a glimpse into Von Bardas' thoughts - and they confirmed what Novikova had said. Earlier that day, Von Bardas had received an encrypted communication, warning her that SHIELD would be coming to the facility.
It had been HYDRA that tipped her off.
Meanwhile...
"Uh...what's it look like - saving the world!" the Tinkerer exclaimed, raising his hands up. Raynor rolled his eyes. He could tell that the Tinkerer was fibbing and he imagined that Tempest would be able to as well. "Well, if you can give me immunity I can...." Raynor then held up his hand, a ball of light becoming sharp and pointed, almost like a dagger, and the Tinkerer gulped. "Look, I just...I invent! I don't handle the business side of things. We just take scraps from Avengers fights and...put them to use again for whoever can pay."
"And who are your clients?" Raynor asked, crossing his arms. He already had found out the name of one of the clients - Hellfire - and he knew that wasn't good by any means. The Tinkerer then started to ramble, listing off the names of several major companies and then a dozen of villains - even the Brotherhood was mentioned in the little list of evil. It was the last name that the Tinkerer mentioned that made Raynor's blood run cold.
Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 11:30 AM
@mnkee: While Tristan may be silent and morose, the rest of the world is not quite in agreement. The creature the girl had been chasing ran into the hallway, a gold chain in one of its furry little paws. Tristan never would have quite seen anything like this before - very few people in the Castle had either for some time. Nifflers were the scorn of royals, since the cute creatures were addicted to treasure and would secret away the crown jewels if they could. Making a bit of a high pitched chatter, the niffler started to circle Tristan, not sure yet as to whether or not he had any precious and shiny items to steal.
@LadyRunic: Badger couldn't quite get to sleep and nor could the little boy stay still. Even with the Sickenesse he had a bit of that little kid energy, his feet twitching in his bed. He hadn't been practicing Magyk true to his word. He was too scared to defy a superior at any rate. Out in the other room, Esmeralda looked at Rhys with a frown. "Who died and made ya a freakin' expert at this illness? Huh? 'Fraid to tell ya this, Rhys, but you don't know shit about it. If you did, my son wouldn't be in there dyin'. For all ya know, seein' his mother will shock it out of his system."
She huffed, shaking her head at him. "I have half a mind to just try shuntin' some of ya over to Fay."
@FantasyChic: "The task is simple - we only require that you tell us your strategy for overthrowing the Castle," Meadow explained. It would be a poor move for the Lagoon to loan off their army to the Witch Messiah, only for them all to be slaughtered. And if Fleur shared her ideas, perhaps they could offer some advice in order to improve her designs. "As for the ring...My brother gave it to me for a birthday several years ago," she answered, still twisting it. It seemed to be her only nervous tic.

Cuyler Eysteinsson & Arya Rincewind
Location: Wizardβs Tower - 20th Floor
The silence grew and grew between the couple, still curled on the floor together. Cuyler didn't mind. He continued to hold Arya in his arms, knowing she was safe, knowing that she loved him as much as he loved her. They had a long road ahead, filled with the fear of the unknown but they would conquer it together and that was all Cuyler needed. He smiled slightly and kissed Arya's cheek. "Despite everything... I am very happy," he informed her. He took her hand in his and interlocked their fingers before he shifted to look at her. "When do we have to leave for this Quest?" he asked her. He wanted to gather some things and perhaps they would be able to visit her bedroom before they departed.
There was a sudden commotion outside the room. There was a loud crash, followed by a large amount of barking. Moments later, a message rat came running into the room, followed by Thia. Cuyler barked Thia's name in order to call her off. She slid to a halt and looked at her companion in confusion.
"As soon as possible," Arya said, raising an eyebrow but she was more weary than curious. A rat coming to her floors so frantically? It had to be from someone within the Palace she suspected, bringing up either some urgent emergency or a question concerning a bit of policy. With Valda's inexperience as a leader, Arya had been having to assist the Queen more than previous ExtraOrdinary Wizards did in their capacity. "Speak Rattus, Rattus," she said, reciting the simple incantation. It didn't require her Magyk - it was something everyone could do - and it didn't seem to make her condition worsen.
The rat then recounted the message from Amarantha - that Arya was needed at the Palace immediately. "Duty calls..." she said softly.
Cuyler listened to the message while Thia sat near the door, impatiently whining. She just wanted to play with the cute little thing. Cuyler looked back at Arya once the rat spoke its message. What a strange thing, having rats report messages but it was effective. He nuzzled into Arya's neck and breathed in her unique scent.
"There is never a break for the ExtraOrdinary Wizard," he whispered. Even if she was sick. Even if she might not make it through the winter... "Do you want me to walk you to the Palace? he asked her. He didn't want to leave her completely unattended but while she was at the Palace, Cuyler was going to take these herbs into the forest. They needed all the help they could get in getting ahead of this Sickenesse.
She opened her mouth, about to ask for her amulet back in order to perform Magyk but she had to stop herself. Without it, she could still Sense whatever troubles were coming about and few outside of Wizard Tower would know what it meant to see her without the amulet. "I can manage, if you have business you wish to conduct elsewhere," Arya said, before giving a cordial nod to the rat and it scurried back to the Palace, in order to let them know she was coming.
"Are you sure? I don't mind... I was going to go and deliver these herbs while you were busy. Do you want Thia to come with?" Cuyler suggested. Maybe she didn't want him to go with her, as a sign of weakness or whatever but Cuyler still didn't like the idea of her going off along. She was more unstable now than she was a few short hours ago.
"Oh, Cuyler, you mustn't go into the Forest alone - even without the Wendron Witches, it's a dangerous place without an experienced and able guide," Arya said with a frown - as if he were the one on death's doorstep and not her. "If you are delivering those herbs, then I will accompany you. I've been in the Forest plenty of times throughout my life."
Cuyler frowned as well. Did she think him incapable of defending himself alone in the woods? What bad could possibly be there that he not seen anywhere else? Cuyler was not fond of the forest but not because of what is contained but what it didn't contain. Openness and the sea. He loved the vastness of it. "But you aren't your optimum health either Arya. And who knows how long you will be contained at the Palace. What if, by some miracle these herbs do work? We could have a cure by this time tomorrow!"
"...Then at least let me send someone with you - there's a new Ordinary here, he's quite charming and has some experience with creatures," Arya suggested. "He can be your guide in the Forest and will protect you from any werewolves that may decide to emerge and eat an exotic snack."
Cuyler sighed, rolling his head but looked back to Arya and smiled a little. "Alright, fine," he complied before kissing her. He moved around, still holding Arya and stood up before he set her back down into her chair. He figured it would be easier for her to get up from that position. "As for exotic snack, I only think you my dear would be interested." Sometimes the young man couldn't help himself and he grinned unabashedly.
Myrus Silvers
Location: the Palace - Attic
Myrus flinched as Lyra shouted so forcefully for his sister to not touch him. Even though he himself hadn't wanted anyone to make physical contact with him, it only reinforced his internal image of being a vile monster. His hands didn't show any more wisps of energy yet he continued to shake and quiver. He didn't know himself if hearing the exclamation made him cry more or less - or if his tears just continued to fall at the same rate.
"E-everyone leaves..." Myrus whispered to Valda. There was a certain weight to his words. His father had vanished from his life when he was young. His mother had been murdered and rarely Appeared to her children now as a ghost. His eldest sister had been CradleSnatched before he had been born. Luna had been briefly CradleSnatched just months ago - and now, it was likely that she was going to move to an entirely different country and join someone else's family.
He wanted to shrink back as Skaoi came into the attic as well. Yet structurally, the attic is not in the best shape. Amarantha and Lyra are right - they need to relocate to somewhere sturdier. There are very few rooms meant to be kind to its inhabitants that could withstand Myrus' power at the Palace - namely the dungeons. Yet at Wizard Tower, the Stranger Chamber was pleasant and was reinforced to handle almost any assault.
Antonije Magnisky
Location: Number 40 Alchemie Way - Living Room
There were still a good six hours or so until Myth and Bruce's wedding, but more and more relatives visiting would be showing up shortly. His sisters had said that they would come around noon - though his youngest sister would likely be late. And to be frank, the same could be said for the second youngest too. Only his oldest sister, Halley, was punctual.
"Brucey, I raised you better than this," Runa scolded, looking at her son. "Any woman with child should not be left to play hostess alone - Myth, dear, let Bruce do the heavy lifting," Runa told her future daughter in law with a slight smile. "Besides, I have something for you...In my family, each child is given a weapon that is enchanted and aids them...I have no doubt that you will appreciate this."
Somehow, the woman pulled out a small bow from the bag and a quiver. "It's name is ΞΟ ΟΟΞΉΞΊΟ - and if you whistle, it will transform from a bow into a handheld harp." She then presented the gift to Myth, hoping that her future daughter in law would appreciate them.
Antonije had noticed that his girlfriend was a bit uncomfortable and he put an arm around Sylvi. He glanced at Myth, realizing that he hadn't actually introduced them yet. He didn't want to do it in front of the gods - or apparently, goddess and her mortal boy toy - so he sent Myth a telepathic message. She's my girlfriend. Surprise. She spent the night. Double surprise.
A moment later, there was a large CRASH and skid marks scuffed up the floors of the home as the speedsters returned. Rather than having a calm and controlled stop to their run, the two girls practically tripped over their own limbs and fell to the ground, coughing up blood and hardly able to breathe. They both looked incredibly ill and had likely more than overdone it. Medic, anyone?!
"Tata, I don't feel so good..."
The Aricie - the Port
As Arnora counts up the loot, she'll find a total of 19 silver crowns inside the pouch (please add this money to your inventory). Minerva, meanwhile, had mostly tuned out the discussion of powers as it turned into a debate of semantics. She truthfully did not care much as to what the technical definition of those things were - some people were different and that was that. She had no doubt that there'd be some overlap involved.
"We've docked!" Minerva exclaimed excitedly. The boat had finally arrived at Port and while customs still had to inspect the cargo first, the passengers were able to get off now if they wished and look around. The Port Witch Coven House - Minerva's ideal destination - was just a few minute walk from where they were now, located next to the creepy Doll Museum. "Let's go!"
All of the sudden, Guin was filled with a horrible sense of dread. She didn't know what was going on - not yet experienced enough with the mental link between herself and Pietro to know what she had just felt...the death of his future counterpart. The feeling reminded her of the first urge after getting clean - it hit her all at once and she couldn't stop reanalyzing it, only to come to nothing conclusive. "Magneto...Mira....Th-there's something wrong," Guin said, pulling her icer and shooting at the guards they had encountered. She knocked down three of them before she cartwheeled and grabbed the hand of the next guard, switching with him despite a few guards shooting at her.
"What do you mean Guin?" Mira asked, coughing slightly due to her sore throat.
Guin didn't answer Mira for a moment. In the male body she was using, it took her a moment to adjust to the balance of the gun and how these new muscles responded. The agent, for his part, seemed to be confused and gawking in her body. Her first few shots only grazed her targets, injuring three, but she got in a kill shot on the next try. It hadn't been that long since her first kill - back at the quinjet - but it was a little easier this time. "I don't know - it's like George Lucas is running through here streaking while screaming I've got a bad feeling about this thing..." Guin tried to explain.
"...Uh..."
Guin then took her host's radio and tossed it at her own body, only to switch back in time and she caught it flawlessly. "Magneto, I need you to cover us. And Mira...get ready to belt," Guin said. She fiddled with the radio settings until she found the broadcast to all frequency setting. Babe, I need you to tell everyone to cover their ears on my signal, okay? It's that or your eardrums are toast.
"Wait what? Why?"Trust me, you'll want your ears covered. I'm going to unleash the scream of a freaking Mandrake - that's Mira - and broadcast it throughout the facility. "Mira, you ready? On the count of three, I need you to scream." "...Well then, that works."
"Y-Y-Yeah, I think so..." Mira said, taking a quick drink from her water bottle that she still had with her. Guin nodded. "Good...One..."
"Two..."
"...three!"
Dean Kesseli
Location: OMEN Facility - Cell Block (Area 51, Probably)
Dean's injuries seemed to have almost healed themselves, thanks to the quick healing speedsters (and wannabe speedsters) typically had. He got up from the floor, grateful for the scary moose and the even scarier Allison that had handled the agents. Oh, and Richard. He had done something too. "Yeah, cells work," Dean agreed. He shooed the agents into the cells and shut the door on them, feeling a bit cathartic.
"Wow, that felt good...We should lock up people we don't like more often. Now I get why they did it to us in the first place..." Dean mused. There was a bit of a rush of power there. But mostly, he was glad to not currently be feeling like swiss cheese and he turned to face his companions. "So...anyone know which way of here is out?" Dean asked, only for Pietro to interrupt him.
"Hey, uh, guys? If you don't want to lose your hearing, I'd suggest we all plug our ears, like, right now," Pietro said and Dean couldn't help but be confused. He really needed to figure out where Pietro was getting all of this information from.
