Gene had to stifle a bit of a laugh from the expression on her twin's face as Lady Munn's nightgown hit him. She hadn't really expected that he would be so easily flustered, but she was learning many new things about her brother on this adventure. She knew that any romance between George and Lady Munn ultimately wouldn't last - they walked different paths in life and unless something disastrous happened to one of them in particular, those paths would never meet again. As her brother fled and the other woman, Lauren, began to search and she asserted that Lady Munn's journal was missing, Lauren's calm presence impressed Gene.
"Of course, if they stole your notes and your map, we might see them at the dig site," Gene pointed out. There was more than one reason to steal information, as far as she was concerned. Either it way to keep it from someone else - or because the thief in question needed to use that information for their own purposes. In this case, Gene had a gut feeling that it was a mixture of the two. "Let's go and ask the staff if anyone has had their ticket stolen - I doubt it was someone of elite deck standing that broke into your room like this," Gene added.
Nora nodded, still examining the mess and the chaos. She kept her leather bound diary on her person at all times, never quite sure when inspiration would strike and she would need to jot down a note. "I have my personal notes on me as well," Nora told her friend, hoping to reassure her. Her voice was soft as ever and Gene wondered when this one would learn to speak up. Of course, Nora hadn't opened her purse to check yet but she had not parted with it since they came onto the boat.
"Perhaps Gene is right - we could investigate for the source of the theft - but I feel it might be prudent to have you write down everything pertinent you remember that is not within my own notes, just to salvage our source of information and guidance," Nora suggested. Human memory was flawed and she figured that they had a better chance of recovering the information from Lady Munn's mind than they did of catching the thief on this ship.
Walnut did not pay much attention to Titian's momentary lapse in wit and did not witness him recover as he caught up to her. Instead, her gaze was down the hallway, taking in the doors to either side and the opportunities that this corridor presented to them. They could methodically go through each door, taking them one at a time and examining every space of this morose and mercurial manor. It was the practical way for this sort of hunt. She then glanced back at her companion as he mused about chairs, though she was more curious as to those who had recently emerged into the joyous corridor.
"Anything can fly - the real question is if the fall can be avoided," Walnut replied coolly. She considered their choices for a moment before she shook her head. While they could go down the hallway to see the others, it was likely idle gossip and dull chatter that any social function provided. "Let us try this way," Walnut told her companion, turning her head as she looked at the door that led to the gun room and she moved forward.

Andromeda gave Sophia a slightly puzzled expression, before she shook her head slightly and dismissed the train of thought. It wasn't the weirdest thing she had heard of and she supposed the subject matter made sense for a series of movies and comic books. Of course, she had read more of DC than any other brand in her lifetime. And in this new lifetime, there wasn't exactly a comic book store on the grounds that they could visit to exchange the most popular volumes. "Maybe I'll tell you over a comic book," Andromeda mused to James playfully. She enjoyed his sense of humor but she wasn't going to be too straightforward with him.
At Sophia's comment, Andromeda straightened up and fixed her hair. "Not really looking to date," Andromeda chimed in, though she wasn't completely in agreement with James' self critical remark. She then glanced at the carnival people, thinking again for a moment. When she closed her eyes, she still got flashbacks to her own death - at a circus. It was such a similar atmosphere that this made her stomach churn slightly. "I'm not sure where Gio is...But as for these people, I'm afraid I'd be biased...I died at a circus," Andromeda explained.
Cecily decided to not press the point much further. She supposed that this time around, he might have gotten himself an engagement ring - or Natasha might have purchased it for him. However, her thoughts flickered back to what Gavin had told her - that Natasha was always running from something. She didn't want to press him in his time of grief, but she owed it to the truth and to Natasha to find out what had happened to her. "From the time I spent with her, she really loved you," Cecily said gently.

Jack was having some trouble focusing on anything that wasn't Jamie or Tatiana. He felt bad that Ash was carrying such a difficult load, after being shot, but his priorities were solely on his child. He followed Tatiana back to the house that they had recently 'liberated' and his grip tightened on the car seat he was carrying Jamie in as they neared it. Tatiana had the good thinking to announce their arrival - he didn't want his baby near another fire fight. What if little Jamie had been the one shot instead of Ash?
"Which way is the livin' room?" Jack asked. Tatiana had told him where the playpen was but he didn't know which route to take. And he grimaced, looking at Ash. His best friend was fading fast. Hopefully this place had a decent stash of whiskey - Ash had more than earned it and it would help to take the edge off during this next part. They needed to get him tended to and quickly. It was too happy a day for sorrow.
Beatrice Decker
Location: Quincy: Inside House (G6 -> G9) Skills: N/A
Beatrice couldn't help but find a flaw with Alex's suggestion - even if they opened up the window a crack, it didn't mean they had to let a light source be visible. She was envisioning covering the window with a blanket once it was open, and then leaning one of the mattresses against it. It'd allow a slight breeze to come inside and cool things down, while blocking out the light source. But seeing her companions all unceremoniously go to bed, she didn't feel like arguing the point. They could deal with a hot house.
She moved away from Thalia to give her some space, staying near the front. She had retrieved her crossbow and peeked out the window on one occasion, seeing nothing moving. Everything was still and peaceful. In some respects, that bothered her. They hadn't been a group to know much peace. As she glanced at the sleeping forms of her companions, noticing that some were more restless than others, her mind went to Thana. Had Thana decided to try her luck on her own? Beatrice wouldn't have blamed her if she did. They now had two individuals who were lacking in limbs. The odds of survival that were normally increased in a group had been hit pretty hard.
Beatrice sat there peacefully, reflecting on all that had happened for the duration of her watch. Then it was time to go rouse Alexander.
Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 11:45 AM
@Nallore@KazAlkemi@LadyRunic: "Oh, we can be a proper party then!" Minerva said with a grin, referring to a group of adventurers. As the others chatted about powers and shared information, she led the way from the docks to the town proper. The Port was based almost entirely on trading when it came to income, yet there were rows of houses and shops all the same. She continued to walk until she came to a boarded up house, noting a little girl in yellow standing in the lawn of the house next door.
"This is it," Minerva explained, her eyes brilliant with excitement.
"Excuse me, but you are going to die in there," the little girl then informed them.
@LadyRunic: "I can have any attitude I damn well please," Esmeralda spat. She was not someone that could be tamed and did not take well to anyone exerting any sort of authority on her - even with the reasonable request to not be rude towards her host. She went past Rhys and walked over to Fayard, seeing that her son was fast asleep already. She placed a hand on his forehead gently, taking his temperature.
"Oh, my sweet little boy..." Esmeralda whispered tenderly to him. She then took a lock of Fayard's hair, grimacing a bit as he started to toss and turn. She then looked back at Rhys. "How are your divination rituals, wizard?" she asked.
@FantasyChic: One of Meadow's companions whispered in her ear, yet the princess ignored them, shaking her head ever so slightly. While they were irritated with Fleur's lack of details, Meadow understood her position. This was not a world in which trust came easy. Some lived with the illusion that all was well - that the lands lived in harmony - yet she knew otherwise.
"The throne of the Small Wet Country Across the Sea belongs to my family - it is my duty to ensure that they have a proper ruler. A child from the wilderness, with no understanding of politics or diplomacy? The people deserve better than that," Meadow said. However, Fleur would be able to sense that there was more to it - that Princess Meadow craved the accumulation of power.

Arya Rincewind
Location: Wizard Tower - 20th Floor
Arya nodded, untangling herself from Cuyler. She stumbled a bit as she went to the door and nearly vomited onto her pristine carpets, but she reached the door and tugged it open. She took a few steps forward and pressed a peculiar device on the wall - Arya had explained the Magyk behind it to Atkin recently, yet his eyes glossed over. "Rainbrook, will you please come up here?" Arya asked.
She was speaking into what seemed to be a mirror - only it was not her reflection it showed. Instead, there was a smartly dressed man in Ordinary Wizard's robes, with curly dirty blonde hair and a warm if not slightly mischievous smile. "Oh, Miss Rincewind! Yes, um, yes of course! I've just got a...a bit of a thing to deal with but I'll be there in a mo'!" Caspian Rainbrook replied frantically. Arya spotted a bowtruckle in his hair making a mess of it.
"Thank you, I need you to escort Mr. Eysteinsson into the Forest and aid him in running a few errands." A bit of color had returned to Arya's face - yet most of what seemed to be improvements to her health were all an act.
"It's none of your concern, Rainbrook," Arya snapped. "You are to mention this to no one. Do I make myself clear?"
Caspian gulped, looking like a small child scolded by their mother for sneaking a cookie. "Crystal, miss."
Myrus Silvers
Location: the Palace - Attic
Myrus looked at Luna through tear filled eyes, having a horrible sense of dread as to what she wanted to talk to him about. It must have been about her impending engagement to Prince Tristan. He was all but certain that his sister was going to accept - she'd get to be a Queen and have all of the servants and fine things she wanted, things that Luna adored her entire life. Who could blame her, after all? There was no future for her here in the Castle, with Valda on the throne - and her little brother a mutant freak, whatever that word meant.
"O-okay, Luna..." Myrus said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. Downstairs, Luna would practically run into Prince Tristan. The niffler was continuing to circle the heir to the throne of the Land of Long Nights, its butt wagging with excitement as it saw the viking sword that Tristan carried on his person. It was shiny.
"Wh-why are you questioning Skaoi? Sh-she's a mouse...harmless..." Myrus mumbled, confused. He then bit his lip, hearing Lyra give an order to the Queen. Even if Valda had not been a bit of a wild child, that never would have gone done well. Royals did not take kindly to orders. And it stung as well, to hear Lyra order him around. He never ordered her, treating servants as equals - but clearly the feeling did not extend both ways.
Antonije Magnisky
Location: Number 40 Alchemie Way - Living Room
Antonije was filled with icy hot anger, rage, and fear as his sisters appeared, coughing up blood. He was about to scream at Bruce to do something - what the hell kind of god is he anyways?! - when Bruce's father stepped forward and gave his sisters apple slices. Looking at the man incredulously, Antonije relaxed slightly as his sisters started to breathe again.
"ΠΡΠ΅ΡΠ°ΠΌ ΡΠ΅ ΠΊΠ°ΠΎ Π΄Π° ΡΠΌΠΈΡΠ΅ΠΌ..." Marya mumbled to Myth when she asked. Antonije's anger returned and he glared at Lance - god or not, he didn't care. "Π₯Π΅Ρ, Ρ Π΅Ρ ΡΠΈ ΡΠΈ Ρ ΡΠ΅Π΄Ρ - Π±ΠΈΡΠ΅Ρ Π΄ΠΎΠ±ΡΠΎ," he then said softly to his siblings. He then looked back at the gods and Myth. It was very rare in history that people could scream in the gods' faces for a transgression. He didn't care if they didn't have anything to do with this Sickenesse but it was killing his only blood relatives.
"Calm down," Runa told Antonije, recognizing the mad look in his eyes. He didn't even really remember that Sylvi was snuggling up to him. "Anger will not help your siblings."
"And you can?!" Antonije screamed.
Runa nodded, making eye contact with him and not breaking it. She could feel his telepathic fit - the boy was lashing out at her, but she was Asgardian and it did not effect her as it may have a mortal. In fact, it was for the best that his anger was aimed at her. An attack of this force would have critically injured or perhaps killed another. "I swear it. Your siblings will live."
"...Your words mean nothing!" Antonije snapped, letting go of Sylvi. He threw the table in the center of the living room over to make his point and Marya coughed a bit. "I'll fix this myself, damn it."
Jia Li's eyes widened, spotting the commotion in the prison yard turn into something truly remarkable. She had met a few airbenders in her lifetime, but they were supposedly extinct. She had heard of the plans to set up pretend refugee houses in the mountains, in order to lure the survivors into a trap, and Jia Li had previously held the grim conclusion that they had been successful. The Air Nomads were no more - and now, she saw this little girl and realized that if she didn't act, the guards would kill her.
It was idiotic of her but Jia Li closed her eyes and drew in a sharp breath, attempting to battle her internal feelings of cold. A warm sensation spread to her fingertips and she was able to create a small flame. It wasn't much, but it was a sign that the treatment of the freezer was beginning to wear off. She then inhaled and whistled, trying to get the attention of everyone in the yard. "...Let's riot!" she called out, holding up the flames and she threw them in the direction of the guard, trying to give the air bender a chance to escape.

Here are the floor plans to use as reference during this mission. While the rooms are stated with residential names, that does not mean that is what you will find in there. In headers, I'll be referring to locations with the following format [Actual Location - i.e. laboratory] (what it's called on the map). If you're confused, just copy from Novikova or Ray's header.
Bonnie continued to work on Jim diligently. She had a personal connection to the agent - he had served with her late husband and had helped carry his casket at the funeral. "Come on, Kennedy, stay with me," she muttered, giving him a bit of adrenaline. Bonnie would have benefited from having a full medical team on hand, but she didn't have those luxuries. "Is the Healer on this op?" Bonnie asked, referring to Tempest.
Unfortunately, Cass and Harry won't be having much luck when it comes to getting communications back up. Even between the two of them, it'll be a while. Hawkeye nodded, looking at Agent Flynn for a moment. "We can scout a little closer, then use these," he said, pulling what looked like a pair of shades from his bag. "Gift from the playboy." He was referencing his friend Tony Stark, of course. Those shades were better than binoculars - and would let them get a glimpse of the action without having to enter the building itself. They just needed to stand outside of the Castle and look.
"Get back!" Agent Lee screamed. He threw up an arm and a wall of light seemingly blasted out, knocking Luminous backwards. The girl's body seemed to be unnatural - like someone took bits and pieces and put them together without much thought or consideration. On her arm, there was a tattoo of the number 7. "Nice shot," Luminous commented, blinking for a moment.
She must have had an accelerated metabolism, as she was up off the floor a moment later like nothing happened. Silver energy seemed to surround her as she sent a blast at the girls, only for Lee to block them again with a light shield. "She's some sort of mutant!" Lee called out.
"It is not part of the mission," Nikolai told Sparky without hesitation. The quantum tunnel may be dangerous, but he didn't care. He didn't even want to be a part of SHIELD really. He just did the missions asked of him and didn't go out of his way to play the part of a hero. And unless he was ordered to shut down the tunnel, it could remain open. No one has noticed the two of them yet. "Come on. Fall back." He heard Tinley's comm message after all - and that was an order.
Raynor Blake & Dominika Novikova
Location: Castle Doomstadt: Inside (Second Floor Suite) (Great Room) Skills: Security Analysis, Jack of All Trades (Guns), Dimensional Energy Perception (Passive)
Foes will appear on the map once they are 'discovered' and will be denoted by an X. Rooms will be noted once they have been cleared by the team as well.
Novikova nodded, before she got a quick flash of sensation using her abilities. Nikolai and Sparky weren't on the same floor as them anymore. Instantly, Novikova was filled with a sense of dread and she recalled one image she had seen when she looked at Von Bardas. "Sparks is on the roof!" Novikova told Abercrombie. Her best friend's life was in danger and she didn't trust Nikolai to protect Sparky.
"Take them - I'll get Agent Sparks," Novikova said, handing the plans they had retrieved over to her field commander.
"Agent Novikova, that goes against a direct order from your field commander and will be remembered. Now get your ass out of this building and meet up with the others. Seems I will have to retrieve Sparks and Nikolai myself."
"...I know, ma'am," Novikova said. Her heart was pounding like a timer, telling her how many seconds they had. She had a gut feeling that she needed to run to her friend, then and there, or something would go horribly wrong - that she wouldn't have a friend left to retrieve. "But with all due respect...I saw it. This is the only way."
Tinley shook her head, but knew no amount of talking would get Novikova to stand down. Truth be told, Tinley couldn't blame her, knowing her friend was on the roof, but Tinley couldn't risk her getting hurt. Or worse. It was up to the Field Commander to make the hard decisions. So with all the respect, she latched on to Novikova's mind. "You will go outside and meet with the others and wait for my return. If I do not make it back, once Sparky and Nikolai are safe, escape."
Meanwhile...
"You could let me go!" the Tinkerer squeaked and Raynor rolled his eyes. However, as Raynor heard the news from Abercrombie over the radio, he held up his comm to his mouth for a moment. "I copy," he said, a bit darkly. He glanced at Tempest for a moment, hearing her ask that, and he wished that he had his sniper rifle on him. He then looked back at the pathetic man in front of him. They weren't supposed to use lethal force - they were SHIELD agents - but by the gods he wanted to.
Raynor emptied an I.C.E.R. into the Tinkerer. One shot was enough to knock an individual unconscious - this way enough to send the Tinkerer sprawling onto his back, his heart barely keeping up. But Raynor, in his years of experience, knew that the man would live - unfortunately. "Wipe the drives, after stashing copies of the information," Raynor told her, referring to the computers. "Agent Sparks, do you read me?" he then asked via comm.
Location: OMEN Facility - Second Floor --> First Floor
Guin could still hear the shriek, despite Magneto's protective measures. It felt a bit like her head was in an oven, having that magnetic field surrounding her, and Guin wished that it would have made it so she couldn't see the results of the plans. Agents near them collapsed to the ground, dead, blood gushing from their eyes and ears. She swallowed thickly, staring at the blood and the corpses on the ground. She didn't think that Mira's shriek would kill them - she thought it would stun them, knock them out. "I...Mira, I...I-I-I thought it would only knock them unconscious..." Guin stammered, looking at her friend for forgiveness.
Her skin felt like it was crawling with ants and Guin wanted to shower, but she didn't know if she would ever be able to feel clean again. Mira had just done what Guin told her to do. She didn't know if it had killed the others in the complex or if they were knocked out, but her mind was assuming the worst given what she saw in front of her. "...I-I'm so sorry, Mira...Th-this is my fault."
Mira was just coughing in response, not able to really respond, Magneto did however, after he dispelled the field around him and Guin. "Close range to a sonic shriek like that, I thought it would have been obvious what would have happen," he said simply. Guin's head shot up, looking at Magneto. She wanted to kill him too in that moment. But more realistically, she didn't know at all what she wanted to do. "I didn't think it'd be that powerful, with her voice already strained!" Guin snapped at Magneto, but the excuse felt empty and hollow.
"You underestimate the powers of others clearly."
"...So do you," Guin couldn't help but point out. "Since if you didn't, I'd be dead." Magneto just raised an eyebrow at her, saying nothing. "Yeah, that's right. You tried to kidnap me - failed at that. And then you tried to kill me and my family with that stupid virus - and you failed at that too. All because you don't know what humans are capable of."
"Humans are pathetic and want to control mutants, to kill them off. Clearly you are nothing more than a naive little girl if you can't see that."
"...You have no idea what I'm capable of...Even after the slaughter I just devised," Guin said, feeling strange but she went down the hallway and opened up the door, heading down the staircase to the lower levels. She didn't care that it was dark, but she snatched a flashlight from one of the corpses and turned it on.
"You are still naive about how the world works, perhaps being around death will be a good thing to snap you out of that," he said simply, as he and Mira followed after her.
"Fuck you, I was freaking born into death," Guin snapped. "Family fortune was built on finding more creative ways to kill Nazis. Then the entire time growing up, it was more of the same - only the target changed, violence was really the same at its roots. And let's not forget freaking Uncle Obadiah. And you, of course, you freaking bastard. Someone ought to kill you."
"Oh? What is your reasoning for that statement?"
"Maybe you have the right idea, about being more proactive. But you're a fucking douchebag," Guin told him bluntly. Magneto just shook his head. Guin huffed a bit, clenching her fist as she went down the flight of stairs. The staircase ended again - Guin was really hating the design of this place - and she went out into the hallway. Using her flashlight, she instantly broke into run as she saw a familiar pair of feet by the next door. She flung the door open, spotting Sara, Mary, and Wanda - and then screamed.
Muscles was there, lying on the ground, covered in bullet holes. Just as Wanda was having a mental breakdown, Guin's legs gave out and she fell to the ground, shaking him as if that would make him wake up. PIETRO?!?!?!?!!! "Yeah what? Is something wrong? And ow... My head..." I need you to get to me right now!!!!! "My powers aren't working, where are you and what's going on?" First floor. Muscles is dead. "...Wait what?" MUSCLES IS DEAD SO GET HERE RIGHT NOW!!! "You have to give me a little while... I can't race up there very easily..." I-I-I-I n-n-need you right now!!!! "Give me a minute, I'll get up there as fast as I can Guina, it'll be okay." Please hurry....I need you right now.... "I'm coming..." G-Good....I-I-I c-c-can't....I-I c-c-can't do this... "It'll be okay Guina..." H-h-he's y-you and h-h-he's dead and h-he had a pregnant wife a-a-and.... "It'll be okay, calm down, take deep breaths Guina..."
Dean Kesseli
Location: OMEN Facility - Cell Block (Area 51, Probably)
Dean's ears were ringing and his head ached. The scream...He had barely had enough time to put his hands over his ears and he wasn't able to block out the noise. However, he had to ask as he turned and looked at Pietro. "Dude...Spill. Now," he said, referring to how Pietro seemingly had all of this essential information. It made him not trust the speedster. "...My counterpart is dead."
Dean's eyes widened. "How...how did you know that the scream was happening...that people were here...and that um...your future self with killer abs is dead?"
"...Mental link, I have one with Wanda, a few weeks ago I noticed that one seemed to form between me and Guin, but I didn't say anything cause I figured she'd freak out, the future guy must have told her, since we started conversing back and forth, probably the reason they were able to find us so quickly. Kind of can act like a GPS of sorts..."
"...Do you know which way is out then?"
"You mean besides the staircase up? No, not without an actual map..." he said, rolling his eyes.
"Well...Whatever. Lame that your powers aren't back yet..." Dean said, clutching at his wound a bit before he headed in the direction of the staircase and opened the door. He was tired of being in this facility. He wanted out already.
Location: His Apartment - Seattle, Washington Interacting With: Trevor
Scott stared at Trevor, trying to figure out how the hell he knew all of this stuff about him. He hadn't reported seeing other people. The illness - well, his friend Chloe had taken care of him. So how did Trevor find out about it? He would have crossed his arms if he wasn't busy threatening the little man with a gun. "That sounds like batshit crazy ramblings," Scott told Trevor point blank. He wanted to kill Trevor to make a point now. But he needed to know how Trevor found out these things about him.
"What makes you think any of this is true?" Scott asked. "Since if you ask me, it sounds like a really bad Star Wars fan story or some shit." Scott wasn't really sure if he had used an appropriate movie to make his point, but he didn't care. He was angry, cranky from having been visited by cops and the medical examiner, and someone might be out there trying to kill an innocent kid. As far as crappy days went, this was shaking up to be a real contender in the Rydzynski Book of Records.
