Guin Stark and Lance Banner

Location: First Sub Basement - Chemical Laboratory
Skills: N/A

Guin's gaze lingered a little bit where Pietro had been, before she sighed slightly and turned her full attention to Lance. As he asked about why she was mad at her father, she hesitated slightly for a moment, not really certain if she wanted to talk to anyone about it quite yet. "It's nothing... Wait, what the fuck? Your dad is dating Aunt Nat?!" Guin exclaimed, her eyes widening. If she had been drinking something, it would have sprayed everywhere. "How the hell does that even work?!"

"Don't ask me, he called me about it like, not too long ago... Right before I hung up the phone and decided to break a few things... Is it just me, or does that seem like, really really weird though?"

Guin nodded, thinking about it for a moment before she half shuddered, half twitched, and she jumped slightly. "Yeah. I think not thinking about it is a good call."

"No kidding..." he mumbled, looking at the floor for a moment. It wasn't something he wanted to think about at all. "So, are you going to tell me why you were pissed at Tony? Or would you rather not? Your choice..."

Guin shrugged slightly, sitting down on one of the counters. She picked up a vial of a cobalt complex Lance had synthesized, looking at the gorgeous blue color as she just turned the vial and caused the little blue powder to move. "...Honestly, I think I'm just being crazy... I haven't really been right since... since y'know."

"Yeah, that's understandable... I don't think you're being crazy," Lance said with a shrug, looking up from the ground and looking at her again. It had been a while since they actually had a conversation that was just between the two of them.

"...Well, you are the only one here that's... y'know... seen me like that," Guin mumbled. "...Sometimes I wonder what the people here would say about that, if they saw me... y'know..."

"Honestly? I don't think anyone would really care... It's okay to show your problems... The irony being that I'm the one kind of saying that, but still, look, I don't think that anyone would care, and if they do? Then screw them, they aren't really your friends then. Guin, you need to stop worrying about stuff like that, okay? Don't worry."

She laughed slightly, giving Lance a slight smile. It was ironic that he was giving her this advice. "Can you imagine how Mary would react if she found out? I don't even talk about it to Pietro and he has a fucking hotline to my brain."

"In my opinion, I don't really think Mary would really care. She doesn't exactly hold anyone's past against them, like, at all... The fact that Pietro is here kind of speaks volumes... She probably wouldn't care at all, but it is your choice whether you tell her about it," he said, shrugging slightly at that. He really didn't think Mary would care about that sort of thing.

Guin shook her head slightly. "Mary has a really narrow world view. She's like Mary Poppins - perfect, yes, but filled with ego too. Don't get me wrong, she's my friend but... Not the kind of person to discuss problems with. You should have seen the way she flipped out on me when I first got my powers... Honestly, I wish you had been there. It was so terrifying..."

"Yeah, she kind of does have a bit of an ego doesn't she? Anyway, I still remember us trying to figure out how to use my powers correctly when I first got them... I kind of wish I had decided to come here sooner to be honest, I mean, not like I can really stand being around my dad for very long."

Guin nodded, giving Lance a bit of a melancholy smile. "I kind of wish I didn't join S.H.I.E.L.D. sometimes... But we can't change the past. I mean, technically that did happen but you get my point. We'd go insane if we just played the what if game constantly..."

"Yeah, I know, we just have to move past that. Move on from what has happened, and focus on what lies ahead..."

"...Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?"

"Um, well, no..."

"You know, Annie would totally go out with you if you asked," Guin mentioned, tugging on her hair. She was starting to feel a bit anxious about being away from Pietro and she wanted to kick herself for it. She never wanted to be the clingy girlfriend.

"Uh, I don't know what you are getting at, or what you are talking about..."

"She likes you," Guin said. "Like she likes likes you. And I'm pretty sure that you think she's pretty and sweet, so ask her out on a date, go with her to a library or something. Could do a movie, then you don't have to talk."

"...Are we really having this sort of conversation right now?"

"Yes. So ask her out - you're going to go up to her, ask if she wants to go see a movie with you this weekend. You'll borrow my car and drive to the theater. You sit there, you pay for the popcorn, and if you have fun, you do it again. If not, then you come home and we play video games until Pietro decides to yank me away."

"I-I-I don't like talking to people o-o-or asking anyone things like that," he protested somewhat, he was just staring at her right now.

"Alright, I'll do it then," Guin said, snatching Lance's phone from him. "I want you to be happy, Lando." She glanced down at the phone and it was locked, there was a passcode on it. "Besides, you're lonely and apparently didn't like me enough to ask me out so might as well get you set up with Annie." It helped that she knew him for ages as Guin guessed the password easily and entered it, unlocking his phone.

Hey Annie - would you like to see Wonder Woman 1984 with me before it leaves theaters? she typed, before she hit sent on the message and looked at Lance.

"What the hell did you do that for?" Lance said, snatching his phone back from Guin, before he stared at the phone. "Really Guin?"

"I'm just trying to help you, Lando..."

Lance just let out a sigh, setting his phone down and looking at the ground. There wasn't much he could do about it, so he might as well keep quiet. Who knew what was going to happen after all. "Whatever you say Guin."

"I mean it, Lando, I really want you to be happy. And if it doesn't go well, you can smack me or something. Hell, smack me right now if you want to, I don't care."

"Whatever Guin, doesn't matter now does it? Can't take back things or whatever, so we'll just have to wait and see I guess..."

"So if she says yes, you'll go out with her then?" Guin asked, feeling a bit hopeful. She scratched slightly at her wrists.

"Yeah, I will..."

"Yay!"

Dean Kesseli

Location: First Floor - the Kitchen
Skills: N/A

On his way to the kitchen, Dean turned slightly, hearing a shout. It was the same obnoxious girl from before who had painfully reminded him about Max. He thought about going back there, but decided nothing good would come of it and he continued into the kitchen. There didn't seem to be a lot of people here in comparison to the formal sitting room, something Dean was grateful for. He just wanted to make some floats with his friends. He grabbed a series of glasses and some cool looking bendy straws, before he overheard Annie's comment to Carolina.

"Ayita lashed out?" he asked, paling noticeably. She scared him and Dean doubted she was really happy with how he had talked to her earlier. He ran a hand through his hair nervously, hoping that Ayita wasn't going to track him down and lash out at him next. However, now the slight yelp that he had heard made sense. Someone might have provoked Ayita or Ayita might have decided that it would be "fun" to terrorize another innocent person. Did part of him feel bad for snapping at her? A little. But for the most part, he was worried about self preservation...

Richard... He felt like throwing up and Dean quickly zipped over to the freezer, opening it up and pulling out all the ice cream he could find. The assassin was going to murder him, wasn't he? Dean gulped. He didn't even have a will drawn up. And he wasn't dumb. He knew about the speedster curse. Maybe he'd be unlucky and as the so called wannabe speedster, he'd be hit by it next.

"Please tell me it was because of what's her face..." Dean asked Carolina and Annie. He liked Carolina and trusted her, but also knew that Annie had some sort of mutant sixth sense. "...I kinda yelled at Ayita earlier..." he then admitted quietly. "...So that uh... that might be why she's... you know... going all Hulk on people..." He assumed that was what Annie meant when she said Ayita lashed out, at the very least.

Neil Spellman

Location: First Floor - Formal Sitting Room
Skills: N/A

Neil snapped to attention, his gaze going up as he heard Shelly ridicule Ayita to her brother. He wasn't really much for talking - especially not in crowds with people he didn't know - but he liked Ayita. He really admired how she could turn into a wolf - and in this case, a cat. Had he ever gone up to her to tell her that? No. Would he ever? Probably not. He was debating if he should say something or not when Allison swooped in - of course she did. Neil admired her and disliked her at the same time. She was the popular, socially confident butterfly - the opposite of him. She was everything he wanted to be.

"...Okay," Neil said to Carolina, nodding as she went off to get a float. He was sad to see one of his friends leave the room, but at the same time he felt he could breathe a little easier - but more people came in without fail. He half smiled, half grimaced at Bethany's nod. Kamasi standing there, sipping his orange juice, felt a bit like a meme come to life. Once more, not that he'd ever say that. He wasn't comfortable talking to people he didn't really know.

Then the original X-Men team piled into the room, making comments on the situation that they had overheard. He bit his lip again, mentally kicking himself for not doing anything. He should have done something to help. Allison was right - they were a team and they needed to stand by each other.

@eclecticwitch For [hr.] just remove the period, it makes a line
@Trainerblue192 Still need the following changes:
  • Training needs to include how long (i.e. how many years)
  • Gymnastics and parkour are still listed under general, both of those are combat skills, not general skills

Virginia Crypt

Location: Carlisle
Skills: N/A

Virginia giggled slightly at the man's talk. None of the normals ever would have entertained the fashion behind missing limbs. "What wood would you carve your leg from?" Virginia asked. She herself was partial to hawthorn wood - it just screamed conflict and turmoil. It was something she could relate to, living as a Crypt in this world. She really would have appreciated being born a bit earlier - perhaps she could have lived in Salem. Perhaps she could have gone and lived in Spain - would she be accused of meddling with Dark Forces? Oh, she certainly hoped so.

"Oh, no, I do not believe so - he's in the care of the Russian Circus," she explained. She was relatively certain that James would be heading East shortly - the only thing that complicated matters was the uncertain fate of Elizaveta. Yet at any rate, she doubted they would drag James as far west as the Americas. No, he would be safe, Virginia reassured herself. "Thank you for your council," she said earnestly. She appreciated his attempts to look out for her brother.

"...And do call me Virginia, please."

Maeve Brennan

Location: Annan Carriages Passing
Skills: N/A

Maeve interpreted Lady Kirkpatrick's smirk as being positive - though it truly was unclear. She just had to hope that it was a mark of pride in her employee's conduct, yet she imagined if it were not, Lady Kirkpatrick would have caned her by now. She did love her cane. However, it ultimately did not matter too much what Lady Kirkpatrick thought about how Maeve treated William. She had a contract secure for Roisin's training and safety, and she felt that her employer would be fine with her conduct.

Of course William was a musician. He had an awfully high opinion of himself from what Maeve could tell and she rolled her eyes as he spoke. The woman looked confused and in Maeve's opinion, perhaps she was scared? "Look, ye 'eadin' ter blather or not? Cos 'onestly, anythin' yer 'av ter say 'ill be far less irritatin' than your bard," Maeve told Millicent bluntly, nodding a bit at William. She knew that there was perhaps a more gentle way to say this, but she was already on her last nerve with all of these people, mostly due to Calum's death.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Carnival Set Up
Skills: N/A

Andromeda hesitated for a moment. She wasn't sure whether or not it would be a good idea to reach out and shake Ruthie's hand. The old woman seemed nice and she wanted to greet her properly in return, but she was also simultaneously worried that she would accidentally infect her with some sort of disease. The entire carnival was making her feel a little bit jumpy. Andromeda then took a bit of a breath and reached her hand out, deciding to have faith in her abilities over her powers. "Nice to meet you - I'm Andromeda, but you can call me Andy if you'd like."

She then turned slightly to Gilbert, once Ruthie had either accepted the handshake or not. "Well, it's... It's about Evelina," Andromeda told Gilbert quietly. She felt it was best to just get it out at this point and as they had already pointed out earlier in the kitchen house, who knew if the carnival people had enhanced hearing abilities like Sophia's. "I think I might know why she went - and potentially... maybe even where," she admitted.

She paused for a moment, like a student about to submit a guess to a challenging problem. "The women who came into the kitchen house, singing... If you think about the lyrics of their song, it... it explains a lot. Lady Lucas was becoming more withdrawn and... Well... I think that the reason she left without wanting to be followed was that she felt him again."

Andromeda bit her lip slightly. "I think she went after Drem."

Gene Benaszewski

Location: The Ferry - Sun Deck
Skills: N/A
Gene couldn't help but face palm. Of course Vera had fallen into the Nile, even with her right there to steady her and warning her to stay away from the ledge. She made a mental note to let her practical sister know to never do business with Lady Munn or any member of her family. They had the coordination of a drunken toddler on a trampoline. Perhaps that was a bit too generous of a description.

However, Gene wasn't one to pass up a good quip. "See? No balls," Gene told Reginald with a smirk, practically daring him to come up with a better come back than cheeky. If that was the very best the British had to offer, then this entire mission was in trouble as far as Gene was concerned. No wonder her American brother had been enlisted to help. He was probably the only one in this party that actually had what it took to get the job done.

She peered over the edge slightly. Gene wasn't going to jump down there herself. She didn't have a skill in swimming, after all, and she didn't want to get eaten by the hippos infesting the Nile.

Nora Kingston

Location: The Ferry - Sun Deck
Skills: N/A
Nora's eyes widened with panic as Lady Munn toppled overboard. She had not known her for a long time, but she felt indebted to the librarian and scholar. Had it not been for Lady Munn, she would be letting life pass her by and amusing herself with trivial little things. Lady Munn and Miss Clarke had inspired her to actually try living her life. Sure, there seemed to be a decent chance that the life she had would not last very long - death was following this exhibition - but at least... at least it would be a life worth living.

Had she not overheard the points of the Corporal, Nora might have been tempted to jump in after Lady Munn. Yet then they would merely have two people in need of rescue and from what she could tell, Vera knew how to swim. "She will be fine, Lauren," Nora whispered, attempting to reassure her dear friend. And perhaps, she said it partially in order to reassure herself as well. The crew would be able to rescue Lady Munn before anything else happened - provided she didn't slip and fall back in again once she was retrieved.

Guin Stark

Location: First Sub Basement - Chemical Laboratory
Skills: N/A

While Lance hated horror movies, Guin had always enjoyed them. She didn't care too much for ones that involved kidnapping and the likes, having enough of that in her real life, but the supernatural and paranormal horror films? She could easily binge watch a few of them. "Depends - what movie are you thinking of?" Guin said to Bethany. She didn't really know Beth that well, but movies were always fun and it was late enough in the day to properly enjoy one.

However, as Pietro gave her a smile, saying that he wanted to run around and play video games, her knees felt weak. His smile always got her heart racing. It was an incredibly tempting offer, only complicated by Lance saying that he wanted to talk to her in private. Why couldn't he have talked to her earlier in the day, before Pietro showed up? She hadn't seen him all day and... No, she was a better friend than this. She could take a few minutes to talk to Lance, right? "...Did you want someone to go with you for a run or is it more of a solo thing?" Guin then asked Pietro.

"Eh, either works... I'll be back real quick though if you don't want to tag along, just a quick race around the mansion or something."

I do really want to go with you... Guin admitted to him quietly through their mental link. And I want to make out with you. A lot. She then looked away from Pietro, her cheeks a bit pink. "Alright Lando, we can go talk."

Why does that not surprise me? he responded through the link with a slight mental laugh. Shut up! Rude! I'm not the one laughing at me! That's all you being rude! Her face was a bit scrunched up and Guin crossed her arms. You told me to shut up, so that is rude! I am not rude! Whatever... I love you... Love you too Guina. Love you more Piet! No, I love you more!

Dean Kesseli

Location: First Floor - Formal Sitting Room --> the Kitchen
Skills: N/A

Dean looked alarmed at Shelly's suggestion. Sad thing was, he sometimes wondered if something along those lines had happened to his biological sister, Max. While he had been adopted by a nice and normal family, she had been adopted by a gang leader in New York City who used orphaned mutants as muscle. It was one explanation for why he hadn't heard anything about Max in ages - at least it was better than the idea that she might have been dead. "...Yeah, come on Annie, let's go to the kitchen," he said, shaking his head slightly. Thinking about Max wasn't always a happy topic.

He then chuckled a bit at Carolina's observation. She was pretty - pretty and funny. Dean shook his head when Sara came into the room - she most definitely did not want to know what was going on. He wasn't sure whether to believe what Shelly and Carolina and all were saying. His eyes just kept darting at Richard, a bit worried for the safety of the fairy kids when they dropped glitter on him. After all, Ayita terrified him and Richard... He felt like Richard was his friend, but in the way that a little uncool kid (Dean) was friends with the star of the football team (Richard).

"...Yup, kitchen..." Dean mumbled, wanting to remove himself from this situation. He then left the room and entered the kitchen, hoping Annie and Carolina would follow.

Neil Spellman

Location: Library - First Floor --> Formal Sitting Room
Skills: N/A

Neil nodded, following after Sara. He heard a lot of voices nearby, so he figured there had to be a big group of people nearby or something. Sure, it could have just been a bunch of students getting ready to work on some project together or heading out to one of the malls nearby, but it also could have been the current X-Men team all in one spot. And they still needed to track down the remaining D&D members, in order to see if they'd be able to properly finish their session for this day.

He glanced around the room when he entered. Everyone was more or less doing what he expected - though Richard was covered in glitter and Neil was a bit surprised. Richard had a reputation like Wolverine around the Mansion. He wasn't someone that people messed with in general. Of course, voicing his opinions would require talking and Neil wasn't one for crowds. He practically backed himself up against the wall, wanting to avoid real human interaction if at all possible.

There was one thing scarier than O.M.E.N. after all: talking to people.

Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 7:30 PM

@KazAlkemi@Nallore@LadyRunic: Where was Minerva? Who knew? The little demonic pixie had parted ways with them after the tavern, going to investigate a potential lead on her own. However, that is neither here nor there. As Grimspound moves through the crowd and grabbed onto the young wizard, the wizard looked up at him gratefully. The M on his face looked gruesome, though Magyk would likely be able to at least reduce it to a faded scar.

However, since the crowd had been enjoying this and now Grimspound was in the middle of it, they looked at him curiously. Was he here to escalate the violence? Or was he intending on defending the kid? One of them spotted Grimspound's emerald green eyes. "He's one of 'em!" they shouted, igniting the crowd again into a fury.

"Go back to where ye came from! Ye ain't welcome here!" another screamed. They started pelting him with rocks, a good number of them hitting the Dykri man.

@LadyRunic: A few people are entering the Castle via the North Gate just like Rhys, however the South Gate tends to be more commonly used. North Gate is typically used for going to and from the Forest or to head up to either the Badlands or the Farmlands. Many of those skilled in Physik are currently using this gate and bridge, as they go to see those who live in the Forest and collect suggested remedies to try for the Sickenesse.

The easiest path to get to Wizard Tower from here would be to walk straight down Maker's Mile and hand a right once you can see the Palace. Walk to the Palace gates and then turn onto Wizard Way. Of course, the quickest route would be to turn off of Maker's Mile earlier and take a series of back alleys and end up on Wizard Way. To each their own!

Chthon, of course, was getting hungrier by the second. The more Rhys fed him, the quicker the energy seemed to be used up. "I am an Elder God. What do you take me for, a puny Asgardian?!" Chthon scolded.

@LadyRunic@mnkee: While the infirmary is already busy, a little girl with toy fairy wings on ran inside. She looked around, a bit of urine trailing after her as the poor little thing had had to go potty and Cuyler didn't take her! The little girl had hawkish little eyes and instantly zeroed in on Lyra. "Hey, hey listen! Hey you!" she said, jumping up and down next to her and running around in circles. "Why aren't you listening to me? HEY, HEY LISTEN!" Navi continued to scream. "Amarantha says you have to help me get clean and changed!"

@FantasyChic: The Scarlet Witch looked at her curiously, titling her head. She was from a distant time in comparison to Fleur - by about ten thousand years, give or take a few centuries. "I am Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. I came to the Witch's Road to discover what is making magic sick in my own time... I cannot help but wonder if our problems are connected." The Scarlet Witch then gestured to the side of the road.

Fleur would be able to see modern day society, with magic mutating and changing, as if infected by some sort of dark energy. The Scarlet Witch had traveled to the ancient lands, where magic began, and had been attempting to relieve symptoms. It was taking a toll on her soul, however, as all magic came with a price and Wanda was using her own life force.

Of course, her magic and Fleur's Magyk are not quite the same, but close enough. The two types are practically siblings.

Arya Rincewind

Location: The Palace - the Library

Rowland and Arya both got up as Valda entered the room, bowing and curtsying to the Queen respectively. Even though Valda wasn't really the sort to get fussy over manners and protocol like that, it was a force of habit. A good portion of the work of the ExtraOrdinary Wizard was in helping to manage relations between Wizard Tower and the rest of the Castle - now more than ever, due to the wicked Sickenesse. "...I am fine, my Queen," Arya said. It was dishonest but she did not want to trouble the Queen with personal plights.

"Queen Valda, it is always a joy to see you," Rowland said kindly. "I hope that you are faring well - though Arya here is ill, I'm afraid. And she will not admit it without a struggle." He then chuckled slightly and Arya shot Rowland a bit of a look.

"I am capable of speaking for myself, Rowland," Arya reminded him. She hadn't been able to find any books that were terribly helpful so far in the Palace Library. She supposed it was to be expected. The Manuscriptorium would have the largest collection - yet she was hopeful that the Palace would at least have some volumes that the Pyramid Library itself lacked.

"Oh trust me, I know that," Rowland replied, chuckling still. "Your Majesty, if you are ever come to Wizard Tower for a feast day, it is a treat to watch Arya thoroughly shut down the Ordinary Wizards who bait her."

Arya sighed a bit. "You are terrible..." she muttered, before she spotted Cuyler come into the room. There was a faint smell of urine in the air. Her emerald eyes glanced at him for a moment before she returned her attention to Queen Valda. She wasn't ready for this conversation.

Myrus Silvers

Location: The Palace Boat Launch

Myrus was a little bit startled, having not seen Luna walk up to him. It was fortunate however that he wasn't an imbecile and he didn't fall into the water as he scrambled to his feet and turned around to look at his sister. Guilt went through him. He should have done more for Luna, instead of secluding himself away. Valda's return had changed Luna's life and her future - she would not be Queen of the Castle most likely.

"Oh, um... Y-yeah, we can talk," Myrus stammered. "But Luna, er... I... I feel like I've been a complete and utter butthole lately... I'm really sorry that..." he then shook his head slightly and looked down, not entirely certain of how to finish the phrase. He then peeked up at his sister again, his eyes that were once violet were now red. Yet while in most that would have been a demonic and cool shade, it seemed gentle and kind in Myrus' face.

"So um... What is it you wanted to tell me?" he asked her. He couldn't help but wonder if Luna had considered that there were options for her other than ruling a country one day. She didn't have to marry into another family or wait for Valda to abdicate the throne or die. Her life could be filled with so much more...

Antonije Magnisky

Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall

In what was sadly turning into a bit of a pattern, Antonije was just staring at Sylvi, dumbstruck. Her Bardic Magyk and music had put him under her spell once more and he was powerless to stop it. Just as Cuyler had been helpless when Klara forced him to kiss Arya, so was Antonije now as he reached out and touched Sylvi's cheek. A shiver went down his entire body and his pupils dilated.

Marya and Medea had gotten up from the ground now, both of them back to health yet still with the Sickenesse in their veins. "Why aren't you green?" Marya asked Lance, her voice heavily accented. "Yeah! Why not?" Medea said, poking him slightly. Marya approved of her twin's idea and she started poking Lance as well and laughing her silly little head off. "Turn green for us!"

With Myth, Runa gave her a gentle smile and grabbed a cloth, aiding the bard in wiping away her tears. "I am sure your father is smiling down at you from Valhalla," she reassured her future daughter in law. Runa's parents and Lance's father were both running a little late. She would have expected them to show up already for the wedding, but there was still plenty of time for them to arrive.

"Don't worry, I'd cry too if I was marrying Brucey and carrying his baby, yuck," Astrid said with a smirk. Halley just shook her head slightly at her sister.

And back in the Great Hall, Antonije suddenly grabbed Sylvi tightly and picked her up, holding her incredibly close to him. His eyes looked a little wild and crazy, as if threatening anyone to get in between him and his 'mate.'
@KazAlkemi Good to go, put them in the same post as Amarantha's CS for convenience

Walnut glanced down the corridor, seeing others come into view. Given that the four men seemed to not know anything and a doctor had been sent for, Walnut figured that perhaps the other unwanted guests might have a clue as to what was going on. She couldn't help but have a bit of excitement at the development. At the very least, whatever happened would eliminate one more possibility as to who the blackmailer was. She had an intuition that told her it was one of their number. After all, what better a way to hide than in plain sight?

She then chuckled slightly at Titian. He did enjoy flattering her and while that was fun, it was not nearly as exciting as some circumstances that required a doctor to be summoned. "Come on, perhaps I might be of some assistance - and I am sure you could help ensure no one intrudes on the poor soul. Medical matters do require privacy," she said, winking at Titian and walking down the Joyous Corridor, still holding his arm assuming he moved with her.

As they reached the others and the man whom Walnut took be a doctor, she gave him a pleasant smile. "I have some skill in these matters and would be happy to assist tending to the poor victim - please call me Professor Walnut," she told him.
