Guin Stark and Pietro Maximoff

Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater
Skills: Mental Link

The adrenaline had worn off and Guin was starting to feel dizzy. The arguing and shouting that seemed to be erupting on and off all over medical didn't help, combined with the fact that as she shut her eyes, all of that blood was still reminding her of Muscles. He had traveled back in time in order to save all of them. He had sacrificed his life so that way they could have a better future. She bit her lip, trying to force herself to breathe evenly but it was like her mind was glitching. She couldn't get unstuck.

"Guina? Are you okay?" Pietro asked her softly.

Just a little dizzy... Guin didn't know if she could bring herself to speak right then.

Oh... That sucks...

She reached into her pocket and gripped her fingers tightly around Muscles' wedding ring. She didn't have the mental energy to even think about the logistics involved in it still being there and not fading away. Pietro was really seriously injured and even though he healed fast, Muscles healed quickly as well and it didn't stop his death. It didn't stop Oshea's death when Sabretooth snapped his neck.

Guina? Are you okay? Talk to me please...

You're really hurt... A-and all the blood... Guin's breathing got jagged and irregular. She was squeezing that wedding ring so tightly it was starting to leave an impression on the skin of her palm.

Guina, I'm fine, don't worry... And everything will be okay... he said, sitting on the bed next to her and pulling her into his arms. She was shaking as she tried her best to take deep breaths. Similar to how weighted blankets helped people with anxiety, having Pietro's strong arms around her slowly helped to calm her down. Guin still felt dizzy however, but she put the wedding ring back into her pocket. You're covered in burns...

It could have been worse... Don't worry Guina...

You could have died... Guin started crying softly.

I wouldn't have died Guina...

She shook her head slightly, pulling her fingers underneath her sleeves. Muscles did.

Guina, it's okay...

Guin started feeling a bit feverish. "You need to let go, I might switch..." she mumbled. While she was better at controlling her powers, they were connected to her emotions. The little feverish sensation was more or less her body telling that she was primed and ready to switch.

"No... I don't care, and I don't want to leave you alone Guina. It'll be okay..."

She tried taking another deep breath, still keeping her hands inside of her sleeves to try to minimize skin to skin contact. Her powers didn't have a lot of uses for the X-Men, but she knew that switching with Pietro right now wouldn't help. "You hate it when we switch, since everything gets slow..." Guin mumbled, taking another breath. Her eyes were shut tightly.

"It's okay though... Don't worry Guina, it'll be alright... Everything will be fine, you'll see, just take a few deep breaths, okay?"

She nodded, taking deep breaths but she was still shaking. The feverish sensation went away however and she slowly let her hands out from inside of her sleeves. "...You need to let someone look at you. You're hurt," she sniffled. "Way more hurt than I am."

"Well we have to wait for someone who can, so we can't do much anyway..."

"...Sorry," she said quietly, finally calmed down for the most part. "...I-I think I might have PTSD."

"Yeah... I figured... It'll be alright though..."

She opened her eyes, looking at him. Even though I'm crazy?

I don't think you are crazy, and it doesn't matter to me even if you were...

Guin's eyes watered a bit and she blinked away the tears. I love you so much... More than anything.

I love you more Guina.

Dean Kesseli

Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater
Skills: N/A

"I... I think I was controlled..." Dean told Annie quietly. He was trying to ignore Richard, though it was a bit hard to do so. Looking at him just reminded him of the betrayal and then made his hands feel like they were still clutching Richard's kidney. He never wanted to touch that man's organs again. Dean clenched his hands and coughed a bit. The ice from Guin's weapon was slowing down his body's naturally quick healing. He wanted to be able to run away from this place and go home, to forget that he ever had been stupid enough to think that he could belong here.

Hearing Carolina say that she would be fine, Dean tried his best to relax and calm down but he couldn't. Today had been a horrible day - almost as bad as when they had been attacked by O.M.E.N. He had been a student back then and he thought that he would be able to make things work this way. He knew that he wanted to help people, but this wasn't helping anyone. This was just... violence. He had had his most fun at the mansion planning events - like prom or the musical. "I'm glad you're okay..." he told Carolina softly.

Neil Spellman

Location: First Sub Basement - Operating Theater
Skills: N/A

As Neil at first started to return to consciousness, he assumed that he was alone, wherever he was. He couldn't hear a single thing - well, he did hear something. It was an annoying and incessant ringing, so loud that Neil moved his stiff arms to his head and smooshed his ears with his hands. It felt wet and sticky - his hands were covered in blood. Mira's scream must have burst his eardrums or something. He looked to the side, seeing Quicksilver on the bed snuggling Guin Stark. Neil shook his head a bit, wondering how a couple like that worked. Neil's thoughts then raced as he remembered what he had done - things he had done to his friends and he felt sick.

He shut his eyes, plunging himself back into darkness but he couldn't keep them closed very long. He felt his chest heaving as he cried and he felt the tears on his face, but he couldn't hear it. He didn't know what to say or what to do. Every movement seemed to ache and he didn't want to move his hands at all. His powers had hurt people and he didn't want to have the slightest risk of doing that again. "I can't... I can't hear..." Neil started coughing a lot. He hadn't registered it at first but his entire body felt like it was on fire. He wanted to just fall unconscious again and never wake up. It'd be easier than this.

Jia Li

Once the guard was gone and out of sight, Jia Li took a few steps away from Ryuu and spit onto the ground. She then wiped her mouth on her sleeve, as if that would obliterate any remaining germs from him. "If you think that's gross, try being the one partaking," Jia Li told the young Air Bender, flashing a bit of a smile at the girl. It hadn't done too much to get the guard off of their backs, but Yumiko essentially offering to service him in the future had. There really was an easy way to convince men to do just about everything it seemed and Jia Li gave Yumiko a nod of approval. "We should keep on moving," she then said.

"I don't think anyone really wants to do that again. But - for future reference - don't just parrot a cover story. It draws suspicion if everyone just repeats the same exact thing," Jia Li said in a hushed voice, making sure that the others could hear her. If they were going to find the Order of the White Lotus and help fight against the Fire Nation, then they couldn't afford to make silly mistakes. They needed to be better than that, to be ready for any situation and be able to talk their way out of things rather than fight if the situation called for it. Jia Li then brushed a bit of stray hair out of her face and she continued walking.

Virginia Crypt

Location: Carlisle
Skills: N/A

Virginia smiled slightly at his comments. "Not even us Crypts know everything," she reminded him before he began. She never wanted to be so ignorant as to think there was nothing left in the world she would find shocking or surprising. People who made up their minds that everything was exactly as they expected and nothing could ever vary from that tended to be irritating and short sighted. If there was nothing left to surprise her, then life would become incredibly disappointing. She loved the unknown far more than she could ever cherish the known. She wanted to hold onto her sense of wonder as long as she possibly could.

As Ny finally came to a tidbit to share, Virginia grinned and leaned forward slightly in expectation. It was a good thing that the carriage wasn't too bumpy as otherwise, she might have been easily thrown to the ground in this position. Experience over speed was paying off so far. And she knew that Millicent could wait. Her friend hadn't even asked her to do this. This was a quest to ensure that Millicent was fine - not a quest to force a choice upon her.

His story did not fail to surprise her. Her eyes widened a bit, hearing that there were indeed white sheep in her family - those who decided to walk the Path of Light instead of the Path of Night. "I have never heard of the das Grabgewölbe before," she admitted, thinking over the news. "But I would very much like to meet them one day. Family is family, no matter the path that they walk." It was a firmly held belief of hers, as well as her parents. A Crypt was a Crypt - even if they made questionable choices and enjoyed gruesome aesthetics. Nothing changed that.

Maeve Brennan

Location: House Kirkpatrick - Outside of the Study (Main Floor)
Skills: N/A

Maeve hesitated for a moment, holding the letter in her hands as she thought through the various options. Millicent had entrusted her to see that this was sent. Now, while she could leave it for the butler to have him send it out, there was the risk that Millicent's fiancé might find the letter and destroy it. Of course, there was also the question if Maeve cared enough to go out of her way to ensure that it was sent without that chance. She knew that had she not been in a household such as this, she would have to venture to the Post and see to it that a carrier brought it in that direction.

Now, if she did decide herself to go get this sent personally at the Post, she'd have to make her way back over there. The only Post she had knowledge of in this area would be at Port Annan. Taking a carriage in order to get back there seemed a bit ridiculous and over the top for her to do at the moment. She wasn't going to leave the house in order to get the highest quality delivery service for Millicent. No, so that left her with either leaving it by the door for the butler or tracking him down personally and telling him to immediately see to it. She sighed a bit, torn over the decision. Did she go out of her way for the security of this letter?

Shaking her head a bit, Maeve headed to the front entrance, letter in hand, hoping to spot the butler but if she didn't, she'd just leave it for him for when he had a moment.

The Mutant Underground - D.C. Station:

Colossus nodded - he had wanted to go talk to Stretch anyways. He had hired the man to help find his sister and he was anxious to see if he had found anything. Piotr was almost certain in his gut that Illyana was somewhere in the United States. She had to be alive. If she wasn't... He didn't know what he would do. He had attempted to fill the void by acting as a brother to Negasonic, but it wasn't always successful. In fact, it usually wasn't. He wanted proof that Illyana was alive and well. "I will call," Colossus told Spark Plug, before walking off to somewhere a bit quieter and with better cell signal.

"I know two fucking mutants in need in the area - Veil and Sapphire!" Sunspot snapped, his head bursting into flames. Cannonball grimaced a bit, looking at his friend.

"We're going to get them back, Roberto - okay?" Cannonball promised.

"You don't know that," Negasonic pointed out. She went on her phone and was scrolling through Twitter, when something caught her eye. She followed a lot of accounts of Purifiers and the likes in the area. She had alerts on message boards they posted in sent to her email. Hatred never typically was very bright.

"Not helping, Ellie!" Cannonball snapped.

"Well, it looks like our friends in black are going to raid some of the shelters today... A mutant escaped from police custody last night and they're trying to bring her to justice." That would be significant - mostly because Purifiers weren't known for restraint. There were two or three mutant friendly shelters in Washington D.C., so the Underground would have a choice to make as to which ones they went to go and protect, if any at all.

Homeless Shelter - Mutant Friendly:

Anastasia's silent shadow wasn't too far behind. Named Fade, he had the power to turn himself invisible. Reeva generally sent him out to spy on those suspected of betraying him, but in this case he was designed to be back up for Anastasia if things went south. He wasn't making himself known, meaning that things were more or less safe for the moment. No one in the shelter went up to approach Anastasia, but she would notice a boy in the back who looked a bit roughed up. He was sporting the nice beginning of a black eye and his hoody was filled with tears and holes. Either he enjoyed getting into fights or something, but odds are... he might known something about how to find the Mutant Underground.

Sunshine

Location: the Morlock Tunnels
Skills: N/A

Grimlock was silent throughout the conversation - both verbally and telepathically. In fact, no one in the Morlock tunnels had ever heard her speak. She was a mute, traumatized by the horrible treatment she had received at the hands of those who thought she was dangerous, that she was an abomination, that she was of the Devil. Blink finished braiding Grimlock's hair and then Blink got up, standing right outside of the tent in the entrance way since it would be easier to talk there.

"Stretch is right - the Mutant Underground does try to help. They move mutants across the border, into either Mexico or Canada," she explained to Max, giving him a bit more detail. She hesitated for a moment. "I actually used to be a member," she said, not giving an explanation as to why she left the Mutant Underground for the Morlocks.

She then turned to Leighton, giving her a smile as she clapped a hand on Stretch's back. "Well, we don't have any elemental manipulators here at the moment, but Stretch I think would be more than happy to help train you. He has an incentive to keep ice under control, after all." Blink smirked a bit at the man.

Over by the food, Sunshine was practically inhaling bowl after bowl of Froot Loops. Erg had to stop her from taking another portion. It was sad, but he had seen this sort of thing before. Some people, when given regular access to food after going without for so long, they just couldn't control themselves. "Wait an hour and see if your stomach handles it," he told her.

"My stomach can handle it just fine!" Sunshine protested. She even patted her belly to make a point of it and Erg smiled, chuckling a bit. Her spirit and tenacity was winning him over. "So when do I get to take some fire to my face and get to be here permanently?" she couldn't help but ask. Sure, she didn't know a lot about the Morlocks but in her mind, she knew enough. She was almost an adult anyways and could make her own choices.

"Tonight after the supply run," Erg told her. "I want to give the others time to decide what path is right for them."

Spirit Box

Location: Rehab
Skills: N/A
"Casper, pay attention!" Ben snapped. Of course, no one around them in the dingy rehab facility could hear Ben. He had died years ago in New Orleans, at the hands of some human supremacists. But thanks to Casper's mutation (do NOT call him Spirit Box, mind you, that name is used by his father only and he would gladly dance on the man's grave), Ben's spirit was tied to the mortal plane of existence. His afterlife was following his friend around, watching him battle with addiction.

Ben often wondered if this was actually hell.

"You sound like Jackie," Casper mused. He put a fur overcoat on top of his hospital gown and wiggled his toes, looking down at his flip flops for a second. "These really do not go together, do they?" he said sadly.

"Really, Cas, this is your number one priority right now?"

"I can't just leave rehab looking like I'm homeless - I'm a mutant, not a monster!" Casper protested. He then smiled a bit at the orderly. Now, for anyone else they would have taken them back into the facility, but no matter how long Casper stayed at rehab, they always heard him talking to himself. They more or less didn't care. His trust fund paid for the visits and he didn't hurt anyone.

"Do you have any boots? Leather, preferably, I think that'll look dashing with the fur," Casper requested. The orderly looked completely resigned and nodded, grabbing a pair of black boots from the back and setting them down in front of Casper. Casper clapped his hands happily, still wearing his patient bracelet, and he quickly put on the boots.

"You need to call Jack," Ben reminded him. "You need someplace to sleep that doesn't involve acting like a prostitute."

"Don't be a prude, Ben. It's only prostitution if they pay you," Casper told his dead friend, waving him off. He then took the ziplock bag of his belongings. They had added in a one month sobriety token and Casper laughed, taking it out and putting it on the counter.

"See you next week, Casper," the orderly said, taking the token back. Casper winked and blew him a kiss, before practically skipping out of the facility. He had put on a black skirt and he tore off the hospital gown, tossing it behind him and leaving him bare chested. "Oh, this feels lovely on the bits... Now, what is Jackie's number again..."

"Seriously, how am I the dead one?" Ben groaned.

"White privilege?" Casper shrugged, before dialing his brother's number. It went straight to voice mail. "Hey Jackie! It's Casper, your favorite older brother. I just got out of rehab, yay, and I need waffles and cash. Please come get me? Ben really does not like it here and I am so tempted to go back and get that orderly's number, he was cute... Kinda wish he had been a little more handsy. Anyways, call me back little bro!"

Ben sighed, hitting his palm against his face. Casper blew him a kiss.
@Sanity43217 Birth year is still off - with that date of birth he would be 31. Otherwise it looks good.

Leda Storm

Location: Dining Pavilion -> Cabin Twenty -> Outside Cabin Nine

Leda quickly finished her food, using her speed in order to get it all into her mouth in a matter of seconds. A quest of sorts with Zeke and Kristen - that was given her major déjà vu. They had gone on a quest together before, tasked by Apollo in order to find a kidnapped Muse. The dynamics between the three of them had more or less not changed at all since then. Kristen was stuck up and Zeke was irritating - but they managed to work together somehow. She couldn't help but wonder how things would be now that they were going to add Mary into the mix. Would the daughter of Demeter make things better or worse?

Leda then hurried over to Cabin Twenty, seemingly a rainbow blur as she dashed over there. She kept most of the things she would need for a quest on her person, since demigods had a bad habit of getting shoved into them without a chance to gear up. She debated for a moment bringing her iPod and earbuds, but devices like that tended to have an awful tendency to attract monsters so she decided against it. Instead, all she really did was ensure that her bag had a decent amount of twinkies shoved into it, before she dashed off to the designated meeting spot.

"Hurry up already!" Leda complained, just sort of generally shouting.
Alright, LadyRunic has been removed from Darke Magyk. May the dice have mercy on her characters.
@Sanity43217 Okay, here are my comments! :)

  • Powers - To start off with, you are limited to 2 powers max. Since he's been inhuman for a while, I'm okay with him having the max of two (generally, inhumans start off with just one). He can gain more powers as time goes on, but for now let's just have two.
  • His birth year and age don't match up - the in character date of the RP is October 24th, 2020
  • Take out the house keys - SHIELD is going to have him on a mobile team so unless he has a strong reason to keep a house, it won't be practical for him.
  • The crate filled with gold... How'd he get this?
  • Under the anything else - you are missing something in addition to that paragraph

Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 10:00 PM

The Manuscriptorium - @LadyRunic

Emma nodded, grabbing onto the ladder and tugging it to the end of the row of books. There was one book in the Darke section he remembered the older scribes talking about - they used to pull it out whenever a new scribe had a headache and read what that could be a symptom of as a cruel prank. Eventually, he had raced up the ladder and retrieved it, coming down with the title: Poisyns and Aylments. It was a rather old book, one that looked like it would fall apart if it was breathed on too thickly. Fortunately, Emma had put on a pair of gloves he kept in the pocket of his tunic.

Making his way back down with it, he looked at Skaoi for approval. "This, miss? It's wicked full of all sorts of Darke stuff... If what you're lookin' for is in any tome, I'bets on this one," he explained. He rocked back on his heels slightly, filled with hyperactive energy. It was hard for young boys to be stuck behind a desk all day, the general task of a scribe. "I heard it sent Drusilla mad when she read it," he added, not sure how Skaoi would feel about that.

However, Skaoi for reasons unknown beyond those incapable of breaking the fourth wall, suddenly paled rapidly and fled from the Manuscriptorium, never to be heard from or seen in the Castle again.

Wizard Way - @eclecticwitch

To the untrained eye, nothing would seem to be out of place on Wizard Way. However, Mona specializes in jewels and gems. She knows what should be there and what should not. Coming out of #13 Wizard Way, little stones are on the ground, making a trail of sorts towards the Palace. These stones are lapis lazuli - precious and powerful, they are said to enhance one's Magyk. And as they hadn't been there a moment ago, it stands to reason that someone in the crowd was leaving them behind.

Now, how would lapis lazuli get spilled like this? Why make a trail?

Wizard Tower - Entrance Hall - @LadyRunic@BlueSky44@Nallore@KazAlkemi

"Forgive me, but I did not realize that your wife was your property," Runa snapped at Richard. She had been alive for eons, living a longer life than he could imagine. She was over six hundred years old before Richard had even been thought of - and now, this attitude after the pesky boy from before had acted with such misogyny? Her patience was running thin. "And you are hardly old, Richard. In fact, you should be in a Midgardian's prime - unless you are suffering from some sort of diminished intellectual capacity. Or perhaps you are missing a kidney?"

Yes, Runa had heard about the time when one of her husband's friends and Richard ended up fighting - and Richard came out of it missing a kidney. She was surprised that Thalia hadn't smacked him with the way Richard was talking to her right now - speaking as if Runa needed his permission to ask Thalia to complete a task, and that his permission was the only thing that mattered.

However, Thalia did do as Runa asked without a word to her husband. She sent Halley and Arnora to Asgard, before moving into the Great Hall to attend to the others. (Nally, we'll pick up for posting in Asgard once the clusterfuck at Wizard Tower is dissipated). Runa then met Klara's eyes and she shook her head slightly. She wasn't going to tell Cuyler what had happened to the ExtraOrdinary Wizard. If Klara wished to, then she could do so.

Wizard Tower - the Great Hall - @BlueSky44@KazAlkemi@Nallore@FantasyChic

As Thalia came inside from the Entrance Hall, she seemed to point at certain individuals in the room and they vanished. Truthfully, she had sent them to Asgard. There were too many people here at the moment - and besides, Runa had asked a favor of her and she owed the Goddess of Lies. It also helped that a crowded room wasn't the best for birthing a baby. She sent Antonije, Marya, Medea, Sylvi, Astrid, and Nova to Asgard (again, we will pick up with these guys in Asgard after the Wizard Tower stuff ends).

Myrus nodded slightly, his knuckles white and his hands were shaking. There was a faint ruby red glow around them, as if his powers were about to activate again. Seeing Fleur... it terrified him. So many of the awful things in his life traced back to her and while he didn't know much about Magyk, she had just drained someone of power. He felt an aura of pure terror and horror coming off of her and he didn't even have the ability to read auras. "W-we should go..." Myrus stammered, looking at Valda. To borrow from Harry Potter, looking at Fleur was like looking at a boggart for Myrus.

Meanwhile, Banner took a moment and he looked at Fleur. "Thank you," he said honestly. She had saved his adopted grandson, something he wouldn't have been able to do. Magyk was more or less his achilles heel. He then returned his attention to Myth, glad that the silver woman had started to send people away. The less people here in the room, the better. "Can you get some towels, please?" Banner then asked Fleur. He didn't know who she was but she was helping to save people, making her a good guy in his book.

"Okay, Myth, you are lucky," Banner said. "You're going to be able to push soon," he told her encouragingly, hoping someone brought towels quickly. "Bruce, your job is to be her rock. This isn't going to be easy, so I want you encouraging her and helping me let her know when it's time to push."

Wizard Tower - the Courtyard - @BlueSky44@KazAlkemi@LadyRunic

Rainbrook paled at what Ahote had said - his mother had been Vanished? Vanished objects went into non-being. No one who had ever been Vanished was ever heard from again, since essentially the atoms and everything that made them up were evenly scattered across existence. "SHUT UP!" Rainbrook snapped, a slight pink tinge appearing in his eyes. His father wasn't the only one who had inherited powers from the Goddess of Water and Love.

Rainbrook, born Caspian Rincewind, had the ability to Charmspeak. He never really used it, finding that it was dishonest but with the rage he was feeling at his mother's fate and this school boy talking about things he didn't understand... It was too much and Rainbrook was seeing red. His Charmspeak ability would force Grimspound to shut up, at least for a moment. He then stalked off in the direction that Ahote had went, unable to see that the man had collapsed from the thick and hot tears pouring from his eyes.

He clenched his fist. He never had been one for fighting, but now he wanted something to pummel into a pulp. He had been sent here by his mother because she remembered him being there - remembered him helping out with the Sickenesse - and now nothing was like what she had described. It was all wrong and she was dead because of it. His sister would never be born because of his failure.

Meanwhile, it seemed that Grimspound's injuries were more severe than they thought, as he promptly died without much ceremony.
