Fleur's army had either fled or retreated, those of them who had not been killed in the fighting. The Asgardians - Bruce, Arnora, Myth, and Cuyler - had stopped Loki in his tracks, preventing the slaying of Baldur at the hand of his brother, Hodr. The perilous future they had witnessed would not come to pass for perhaps a thousand or so more years, just enough time for our heroes to think of another way to prolong the inevitable - the looming Ragnarok.

Had Loki been awake, he perhaps would have asked for a drink from the Hulk's grandson, a parallel to a fateful day long, long ago.

"Silvija... Look!" Antonije exclaimed, looking up at the pyrotechnics in the sky with boyish delight. The soldiers all around them were fleeing and he couldn't help but grin wildly, before pulling his girlfriend in for a deep kiss. Of course he enjoyed the explosion due to his love of fire, but knowing that Sylvi was going to be safe - that his little world here would be fine - it made his heart soar. It was a joy that he doubted could ever be achieved again. "We did it - you did it," he added, before kissing her again.

Inside the Palace, Amarantha had fallen and Fleur had Transported herself away. Violet was on the ground in chains, shaking and quivering. In her limited memory, she had never been cut off from her Magyk so completely. Rowland, her aged mentor, knelt down next to her and placed his hand on her forehead, chanting in an ancient tongue as a peace fell over her - and comprehension dawned in her eyes.

"...Rowland... I'm... I'm so sorry," Arya wept. "My Queen, I... I must apologize for... I will exile myself unless you desire a different punishment."

The young prince, Myrus, struggled to his feet. He kept a hand pressed over his eye, an attempt to soothe the pain from the burns. He was sad that Amarantha was dead - and a bit bewildered that Fleur had left. He had always seen her as a murderer, a terrorist, a tyrant... yet she had been the last avenger. She had avenged her fallen love. While that witch had killed his mother, Myrus found it to be slightly sweet - yet overall, utterly horrific.

"Valda, Luna... Can we go on a vacation?" Myrus asked meekly. "A-after we catch our cousin and throw him in prison or something..." he then added, recalling that King Nicholas had fled the room and definitely collaborated with Fleur on all of this.

Then at the top of Wizard Tower, Apollodora was sitting on the ledge, looking up at the sky with wonder. Her timeline had collapsed and faded away. Her mentor, Amarantha, had died. She didn't know if her parents would get together, yet she felt strangely at peace. The world wasn't overrun by vampires. The Norse gods had not killed the population. And by those fireworks, Fleur's forces were leaving.

"Are you ready to go home?" Rainbrook asked her, straddling a dragon.

Apollodora nodded her head. "Actually... I think I'd like to stay here, brother. And I know that your heart lies in a distant time," she informed him.

Rainbrook looked a bit sheepish. "Thalia told me what happens next in this timeline - with the Empire, the Land of the Singing Sands, the StarFyre... It's not safe, Apollo."

"Adventure never is."

🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹 and ⚡John Watts⚡

Location: Big Bad HQ - Lowest Level: ???
Skills: Archery, Superspeed
Watts didn't have time to register that one of the newcomers wasn't moving. He was focused on the immediate threat and the current obstacle to rescuing Andrew. He hadn't bonded with Jolene, but the Cupcake Eater worked in the same lab space as him. He didn't want to have someone else in there with him - Andrew's skills were mediocre at best, but everyone else was atrocious in comparison. And of course, while he would never admit it, he blamed himself more than he blamed Bobbi and Wesley. "Got it," he told Sapphire gruffly, speeding up the ice ramp.

The ice wasn't too slippery thankfully and Watts made his way up to the next level, emerging where the Sisterhood was assembled. He could see Lady Deathstrike, both Sisters Mastermind, and a woman who strongly resembled Jean Grey. "Ladies," he growled, moving at superspeed as he kicked them one by one in the head to attempt to knock them out. He didn't care if it ended up killing them. All he wanted to do was to find Andrew. His blows knocked out both of the Mastermind Sisters, causing the illusions downstairs to vanish. A grappling arrow then shot up and in a moment, the Emerald Archer was there.

"You killed my father," he told Pryor coldly, staring at her with hate. His green hood still hid his face, but he had no doubt that she would know who he was - that he was Arthur Twist, the bastard son of Harrison Snow. The Sisterhood had tried to kill him, instead stranding him on the living island Krakoa, hell on Earth. And now, now Arthur was finally going to avenge his father. Blood demanded blood. Arthur fired an arrow, missing. His aim was normally better than that. He was normally better than that.

Without wasting a second, he fired another arrow. Pryor used her powers to deflect it, causing the arrow it land in her leg instead of piercing her heart. Arthur's own heart was pounding with an increasing intensity, matching the immense rage he felt both towards Pryor for murdering his father and towards himself for missing both of those shots. He didn't care if he died here. Arthur hardly felt like he was someone who could rejoin society anyways at this point. But his life had been spared for some reason - and this felt like it had to be it. He was only alive so he could right this wrong.

The Hub - San Fransisco: December 24th, 2020 - 6:30 P.M.

The Common Room...

"I'm fine," Novikova muttered, her shoulder screaming at her in pain but she pushed through it. Her ears were ringing and she didn't really hear what Oliver was saying, staring at the skrull that had been impersonating a team member. She didn't care that the skrull had bit her - well, that was a lie. Novikova was infuriated that that had happened. She'd need to treat her wound later and make sure that the skrull hadn't injected her with poison or some sort of alien virus, but at the moment, all she really wanted was revenge.

She extended her hand and Roman's knife flew into her grip. "Fuck. You. Asshole," she cursed at the skrull, before driving the knife down into the creature's chest. The skrull tensed up, before becoming incredibly still - dead. Novikova didn't care that they couldn't interrogate "Roman" anymore. She didn't care that she had probably just made studying this creature a lot harder in terms of its internal organs. All that mattered was the piece of shit who bit her was dead.

The Park...

Now you're probably wondering - gee, I thought Deadpool was narrating this story, but he just got shot with some fucking darts like it's Friday night at some crappy bar! What the fuck is going on with the inconsistent writing in this story? But no one likes a story where the heroes don't have at least some chance of winning. And it's not like these little darts take away my badass ninja skills. I don't even think I can die - Lady Death has the HOTS for me. Yeah, that's right Thanos, she calls me daddy too!

But what's truly disappointing is that my true love, Peter fucking Parker, is NOT HERE! I'm Wade Wilson, I proudly sport Canada's Ass - I'm not some sort of drugged up prom date that you can ditch to go fight Vulture. Or is it Morbius now? I saw the trailer and let's just say I am confused. I thought Feige would have smacked that down! Aaaaanyways...

Time to make the chimichangas!

Deadpool was laughing in his suit, pulling the darts out. "Wow, good job! Only two of you managed to hit me! But let's face it, you're S.H.I.E.L.D. agents - I know that you're not going to kill me. More of you than just B film Black Widow would get fired if you killed me over presents, isn't that right, Fido?" Deadpool said, petting the dog. The little puppy was barking and squirming happily in his arms. "Or should I call you Max? I'm not green but I do think I could be made Mayor of Whooville or whatever the fuck the Grinch was at the end of the day. Nightcrawler keeps saying chicks dig the fuzzy man anyways. Maybe he's onto something."

Setting down the puppy named Max, Deadpool unsheathed his katanas and stretched slightly. "Maximum effort." Raynor and Bonnie both fired off inhibitor darts at Deadpool, but they missed. The doses Matt and Harry had delivered would keep Deadpool from being able to heal himself rapidly, yet they did nothing towards keeping the Merc with a Mouth down and getting back their presents.

"Damn it, Wade!" Raynor cursed, sending a blast of light at Deadpool. The mutant in the red suit jumped up into the air and over the blast with practiced ease.

"Missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me!" Deadpool taunted. He tried swiping his katana at Raynor, but only managed to cut off the Asgardian's shirt. "Oooh, nice abs," Deadpool complimented, as Bonnie tried to set up the inhibitor field around him. Unfortunately, Deadpool caught her out of the corner of his eye and he spun around, kicking her in the jaw and sending Bonnie flying backwards.

"Oof, put some ice on that sweetheart!" he advised. "Who's next? T and T? Gosh, you two are so quiet, it's almost like your writer hasn't given you any lines yet!"

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈 and ✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Camp Half-Blood - the Arena
Skills: N/A

While Leda had gone on the little trip to rescue the demigods from that school, she hadn't really realized that Kiera had been close with Ash. There was a large age gap between them and Leda had anticipated that would have killed any social interactions. It only made Kiera's lack of reaction to Ash's death even more perplexing. Was she heartless or something like that - to not care when her friend died? She wasn't about to ask her what her damage was, as tempting as that might have been. Leda still found her to be attractive, objectively speaking. Catching Mary's laughter, Leda turned and glared slightly at her friend, giving her a clear signal to shut up.

Tammy provided a welcome distraction, showing up with a shroud for Ash. "Great, thanks sis," she said, her eyes darting over towards Rebecca slightly. The shroud looked great, featuring the symbol of Hades - Ash's father - prominently and included her name as well. "Okay, let's head on to the Cabin and fetch her things then, yeah?" Leda asked, wanting to more or less get a move on. She was a speedster, so her impatience was only natural and just amplified by having her ex-girlfriend there. If Arthur didn't need a mentor in terms of necromancy, she wouldn't have spoken to Rebecca at all.

"Among other things, yes - she's the goddess of ghosts," Rebecca explained to Arthur patiently. And while she did not share Leda's discomfort at being in the same environment, she wasn't dumb. She was aware that her help was not wanted here at the moment. "I'll begin teaching you afterwards, then," she told Arthur, referring to the funeral. He hadn't said the word yet, something that Rebecca picked up on. There was much to do in preparation for journeying to Camp Jupiter in the morning. She needed to ensure that she had the most frequently used potions prepared, as well as a variety of common herbs at her disposal.

Bowing her head slightly, Rebecca figured that she ought to check in with Zeke and the others going on the quest to see if they needed anything. She walked over to the group, waiting for a pause in conversation before interjecting herself. "Is there anything you'd like me to brew for you all or prepare?" Rebecca asked them, smiling slightly. "I could fetch some crystals to help direct your energies, as well, though I find that they are more effective if used over long durations and not just for short periods of time..."

Washington D.C.: September 10th, 2020 - 12:00 PM

The Amtrak Station...

Bonnie's heart skipped a beat, seeing what Flynn did to Cass. Any injuries that Cass took on were difficult to treat, given that her dermal armor made it so that way no surgical or medical tools could pierce her skin. She hoped to god that her organs hadn't taken on any internal injuries, that she had just passed out from the smoke or something like that. Her mind also noted rapidly, like taking a snapshot, that Flynn hadn't actually tried to hurt her, even though she had tried to hit him over the head to knock him out. Maria's arrows missed her and Bonnie thanked her lucky stars.

"This is Agent Chase - requesting back up," Bonnie said into her communicator. She knew back up wasn't coming. The rest of the team was busy on another mission at the moment, but the rogue mutants didn't know that. At least she still had Novikova with her - that was something.

"Fuck back up," Novikova said bitterly. She was drunk, yes, and her girlfriend annoyingly had been mind controlled to be something else. Using all of her pent up rage and aggression, especially since her best friend was trapped in the Quantum Realm still, Novikova manipulated the Earth around Valentine's feet and sent up several earthen spikes. The spikes pierced the mutant's ribcage, but Novikova didn't stop, throwing a small boulder at Valentine's head and knocking the alpha level mutant unconscious.

Legion, to his credit, cried in fear.

"....Okay," Bonnie said, figuring that it was better she try and fail than stand there and let Flynn and Maria kill everyone. She took a deep breath and ran at Anastasia, figuring that since she was the last one standing, she had to be the one messing with everyone's minds. Unfortunately, due to the instability of the earth from Novikova's attacks and the jinx in her system, Bonnie tripped and fell to the ground pathetically.

The Mutant Underground HQ...

Casper didn't even notice that James had snapped the pill in half, still terrorized by the ghosts around him and their incessant wailing. He swallowed the half-pill dry, a little sign of the frequency with which he took pills. To some this wouldn't be alarming - it was a skill acquired by people who had to take medications daily - but Casper's ability wasn't from any legal activities at all. He had started with painkillers stolen from his father's study and worked his way up to the worst of the worst. Regardless of his experience though, pills didn't take effect instantly - it would be about another ten or so minutes before the drugs would reach his brain.

"I-I..." Casper stammered, trying to come up with an answer to James' question. If he were honest, he felt the safest right now curled up into James like he was some sort of infantile creature.

Negasonic smirked slightly at Sapphire, turning her phone to show a meme. "Is this you?" she quipped, glee dancing in her eyes.

Blink crossed her arms, moving from side to side slightly with obvious worry. She had worked with the Mutant Underground in Atlanta and when people were gone this long, it rarely was anything good. She shuddered slightly, remembering when her ex-boyfriend had been captured by Purifiers - or when her friend, Lorna, had been arrested in order to save her. "From what I can tell, it's an abandoned bunker of sorts..." Blink explained awkwardly. "I think some rich person must have had it built and then let it go to hell. But there's rooms and I think we might even be able to get the electricity working down there."

"Like I said, it's a lair," Negasonic said, scrolling through more memes on her phone without looking up.

Colossus was stared at Magik as she climbed out of the car, worry etched into his metallic face but he couldn't do anything for her if she didn't let him. "Da, I have numbers," Colossus told Waverley encouraging, before listing out Havok, Veil, and Spark Plug's numbers. He didn't have numbers for anyone else as they just hadn't been with the Mutant Underground long enough. "Call, please," he then requested. Yes, he could have made those calls but it was important to him to make sure Feedback felt useful.

"He's probably thinking about sex," Illyana muttered harshly, spitting on Vulcan's unconscious form. With the medicine in her system, she was acting more like her normal self - as normal as she could be after all of the tragedies in her life. In many ways, it had been easier to be a hound. "Or killing Cyclops and Havok."

"Everyone wants to kill Havok, that's hardly new," Negasonic chimed in.

"He's his brother," Magik added, promptly shutting Negasonic up.

Sinister's Lair - Sabretooth's Hallway...

"Thank you," Veil told Glimpse earnestly, relieved to hear that her team was okay. If any of them didn't make it out of this place alive, Veil would have blamed herself. They hadn't been ready for this sort of mission and it showed. The team had fractured itself and they had been lucky to handle Sinister's minions with relative ease. Next time, they might not be so lucky.

"What was I supposed to do, threaten them to come with me or else?" Havok asked Spark Plug. "They're both adults. They can make their own choice... even if it's a fucking stupid one," he finished with a sigh.

Sinister's Lair - the Elevator Room...

"He's immortal?! γαμω!" Sunshine screamed, switching to Greek for a moment. Her mother had made sure that she could speak the language of her father's homeland and over the years, Sunshine had supplemented her Greek with a working knowledge of its primary curses. It was the main thing she used the language for. If someone asked her to read or write in Greek, she would be completely and utterly lost. "That's not fair!" she added, a few tears welling up in her eyes as they reached the end of the hallway and came into the original room with the elevator.

Her eyes narrowed slightly, seeing Max getting into the elevator. There was something weird going on with his eyes - they were glowing. With all of the weird things happening here, and even though none of the hounds had had glowing eyes, she assumed that Max was under Sinister's control. It made sense - he was very dumb, so of course he would have gotten caught and hypnotized. And despite what Max thought of her, he was part of her group. Sunshine wasn't going to let him go.

She pulled her Yo-Yo out and aimed at the single button on the elevator, throwing the small toy. Thanks to her mutant power of perfect aim, the Yo-Yo hit the button and the elevator doors reopened. "I'm going to really enjoy beating you up to get the crazy out of you," she told Max, still crying slightly out of rage over Erg.

Veil, Havok, Glimpse, and Spark Plug then came into view. "... Glimpse, frisk his mind please," Veil requested instantly, seeing the strange glow in Max's eyes - and hearing Sunshine's slightly ridiculous threat.

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower -> Galactus' Ship (Team 1)
Skills: Telepathy
She smirked slightly, hearing everyone fawn over the suits her father had designed. Yes, they were amazingly cool and unlike the rest of them, Guin was certain she would wear one of these again - and probably soon, even. She was fully intending on bragging about it but Richards' device beamed them up onto Galactus' ship before she got a chance to. The ship was massive - they really hadn't been kidding about the dimensions on this thing. The bright lights zipping around the walls reminded her of SciFi movies in general - maybe Star Trek more than Star Wars?

You didn't seem to hate them when we had our first kiss in a pair of Iron Man suits, Guin reminded Pietro, kicking off and flying towards where the tracker indicated the device was. What's up? she then asked.

I still prefer running, anyway... You probably know Mary better then most people... Does she have any siblings? Since if not why did she have a twin in the reality that Wanda created? I never thought about it until now...

There had been a lot of weird inconsistencies in Wanda's reality. Pepper had been Guin's biological mother there. Pietro had had another brother named Flynn - an older brother. Mary had a twin sister, yet she also was the younger sister of Gambit, one of the old X-Men. I don't think she has any siblings - but also there was a lot of things in that reality that didn't make sense... Like that woman, Miranda? She was your biological mom there. Pepper was mine. And Gambit was Mary's brother.

Yeah, but Guin... Mary just acted a lot like her twin from that reality. Like a lot like her considering I thought personally she was going to at the very least smack Sara or something...

Okay, but she's been kinda acting like that since the entire O.M.E.N. thing... Remember how she blew up and screamed at everyone? She's my best friend, but... She isn't exactly someone I would call mentally stable these days.

Guina, what I'm trying to tell you is I actually think she might have a split personality. One is the normal person we've known forever, the other somewhat being a psychopath.

Guin glanced over towards Mary, thankful that the suit's mask was hiding her expression. She didn't really want to believe it, but there did seem to be a lot of truth in Pietro's idea. Ever since Wanda's House of M reality, Guin's own powers had been expanded to reach a little more of their potential. Her mind switch ability turned out to just be one aspect of her telepathic powers. Concentrating on Mary's mind, she probed it gently, hoping to not find extensive mental damage...

But then she heard two voices in Mary's mind - one was the old Mary and the other was Chrysi. She took a deep breath. You're right. Fuck. We can't have her here on this mission - we should ask Richards to send Mare home. Get her a psych eval.

She then started telepathically communicating with Beth and Allison. "Hey guys - bad news. It turns out Mare's got a split personality that wants the world to end. So... I think we might want to send her home, since this isn't the best place for a psycho to be - especially with us trying to keep the world from ending."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower -> Galactus' Ship (Team 3)
Skills: Minor Molecular Combustion
Neil glared at Carolina slightly. She was his friend, but he didn't see himself or Sara as being in the wrong here. Mary was completely out of line and he had done his job to defend Sara's honor, as any good boyfriend should. "We're not the ones being kids - she is," he mumbled to Carolina, referring to Mary. But he nodded as Sara told him that they could let it blow over, especially since they weren't going to be on the same team as Mary anyways - he didn't care that she apologized after the fact. He liked his little team. Yet with the Iron Man suits on, it wasn't too long before his group was transported up into space, ending up in what looked like some sort of observation deck.

While the end of the world was nigh, he couldn't deny how breathtaking the ship was. "Woah..." he said softly, his eyes wide with astonishment. They were on an alien spaceship, something he never expected to do. He had no idea what any of the wires might have been for. He walked on up to the door and tried to open it, only to find that it was locked. "Um, stay back," he then advised everyone. He didn't use his powers of combustion too often. It took a bit of concentration but he managed to explode the lock on the door, allowing them all access to the large room. Opening up the door, Neil's shoulders slumped slightly in confusion.

There was a jungle on the other side. "Uh..." he muttered uncomfortably, not really wanting to be the leader or anything. He really hoped someone else would take charge.
