🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Rest Stop
Skills: Sword Fighting and Agility

Leda didn't need Zeke to tell her twice. As soon as he prompted her and Kristin to cover their ears, she put her hands over her ears as easily as she could. It was a bit difficult, since she was holding Ultraviolet too, and trying her best not to decapitate herself in the process. She could feel the vibrations and hear the sonic boom of Zeke's arrow slightly - hands weren't completely soundproof after all. Some of the horses fled and she hoped they wouldn't come back. Lowering her hands and getting a better grip on her sword again, she rolled her eyes at Zeke. "I'll tell her you said that, luv. Maybe she'll thank ya for the idea with a blood sacrifice."

She probably shouldn't have taken the time to taunt Zeke.

A flesh eating horse got closer to her than was safe, ripping out a chunk of her hair. Pain shot up through Leda's head. If she had thought pulling a brush against a tangle hurt like hell, this was a thousand times worse. "Bloody hell, for fuck's sake! Shit shit shit!" she cursed, swearing up a storm. Her sword was glowing bright red, showing the pure anger and rage she felt. "That was my freaking hair!!" she screamed at the horse. With a vicious swing, she dashed in and beheaded the creature, turning the thing to monster dust. Even though it was dead, she was livid and energized. She darted over towards another horse and stabbed it in the chest with Ultraviolet, turning it to dust as well.

"...Is it noticeable?" she finally took a second to ask.
Clio

The Cerean looked at Bellona with suspicion, his head shaped like a pinecone, his eyebrows like bushy white caterpillars. "Just a drink?" he repeated. He didn't own the cantina, yet the music had stopped and everyone was looking at him for direction. His opinion clearly carried a great deal of weight. "It's never just a drink with the Jedi," he spat, before gathering up his belongings and he left the bar. Three other aliens followed suit, getting up and leaving - only one of them bothered to pay on their way out as well.

"Anyone else got a problem?" Clio asked.

Dead silence.

"Good," she said, before going up to the bar and ordering herself a strong drink. The bartender charged her double, explaining that there was a jedi surcharge - "For the damage." Clio didn't feel like arguing the point. She didn't believe in using outright violence and force, but their arrival had already caused some to leave the cantina. She would have been naive if she didn't expect some sort of fight to break out. Her drink came up and Clio took a swig of it, instantly coughing from the strength of the alcohol. Drinking wasn't an activity exactly condoned by the Jedi Order.

The hair on the back of her neck stood up, as she saw a rather odd person watching her and her sister - a Gungan. They were rarely found outside of Naboo. Those found on other planets... they were exiles - criminals.

Exactly the sort of person who could get them an audience with the Hutts.

The Hellfire Club Headquarters -

Polaris glanced up, her dreidel ceasing to spin as Anastasia entered the room. She didn't trust the White Queen of the Hellfire Club at all. Her powers over morality manipulation made her dangerous, even more than most telepaths. Polaris' headpiece protected her from mental intrusions much like her father's helmet did, but even then Anastasia set her on edge. With her telekinesis, she could easily try to remove the headpiece and then control her. She shifted uncomfortably, watching Anastasia warily.

"Anastasia, dear, it's lovely to see you," Reeva said, plastering a fake smile onto her face. "You slept in quite late today... Are you sure you're feeling alright?" she asked, seemingly concerned. It was unlikely to be genuine.

Sage didn't move to greet Anastasia, continuing to monitor the progress Jinx and Ice Queen were making. She was also secretly sending messages to the Mutant Underground, hoping they would be able to get Desiree to safety. If Desiree didn't join the Hellfire Club, Reeva would kill her. Her powers were uniquely suited to be able to take down Reeva, making the Black Queen vulnerable. Reeva didn't allow herself to be vulnerable, ever.

"I have a visual on them - Jinx and Ice Queen have made contact with the target," Sage announced. "Jinx's nose appears to be broken."

"If you have nothing to do, Anastasia, you may wish to go... play with Ice Queen and Jinx. They do not have nearly the same level of competency as you do when it comes to these things."

Macy's -

Jinx's job on Desiree's voice had been quite thorough - she wouldn't be able to make a sound. It was like in nightmares, where no matter how much you wanted to, you just couldn't scream. Should she trust Leighton? Or should she try to break her nose as well? Out of the corner of her eye, Desiree would be able to see that mall security was on its way over. It was a crowded mall - someone had seen her punch Jinx and break his nose. And without her voice, how would she convince them she had been the victim?

It was time to make a choice - which was the lesser of the evils? Jinx? Leighton? Or mall security?

Veil

Location: Mutant Underground Hideout - First Floor: Training Room
Skills: Invisible Energy Manipulation
Veil's phone vibrated again, featuring another incoming message from Sage. This one was longer, yet she didn't have a chance to immediately decode it. She forwarded it and the previous message to Spark Plug, fully intending on going with the team to deal with this, but also hoping that Spark Plug might be able to decode the new one from Sage while she dealt with Sapphire. Her friend seemed... broken. She shivered a bit from the chill in the air, yet she continued to keep Sapphire invisible to give her privacy.

"I grew up at Xavier's - I was a student when Jean Grey became the Dark Phoenix. I can believe a lot of things," she said quietly to Sapphire. "If you want to tell me, that's cool. It doesn't have to be now. But... if punching something would help, Sage texted. The Hellfire Club is up to something. Probably nothing good. It could be a way for you to let off some steam..."

Veil glanced up, seeing Glimpse and Moonwalker enter the room. Glimpse had Moonwalker outmatched when it came to fights, yet Moonwalker's compassion and empathy exceeded that of Captain Britain's heir. He was incredibly sweet, coming and sitting down in front of her, asking if she was okay. She didn't know if Sapphire was comfortable with being seen at the moment. "Magneto's palace...?" Veil considered things for a moment. "I wouldn't be surprised if that did exist. Magneto's always had a flair for the dramatic. But... It's worth looking into. Can you go ask Casper for more information? See if it's something real or... well, it is Casper."

Veil brushed some hair out of her face, but it fell back into place a second later. "I'm fine. Thanks for asking. Just got word from our contact - we've got a mission. Hellfire Club."

Casper Theriot

Location: Mutant Underground Hideout - the Second Floor Hallway
Skills: Mediumship
Casper returned James' kiss passionately, getting little tastes of what he had eaten for lunch. He held onto him tightly as James rested his head on his shoulder, only to then jumped slightly, startled by Waverley's sudden appearance. How long had she been watching them for? Had he been in a more jovial mood, he might have teasingly told Waverley that just looking would cost her $20. But now wasn't the time. Everyone was in so much pain. He needed to make sure that the people closest to him were safe. The door swung open to reveal his brother and Jack instantly lied to all of their faces.

"Maybe don't do this..."

"Jackie, I know that you're feeling heartbroken about Lexi. But we're going to find your daughter, I promise!" Casper swore. "How hard can finding a little six year old mutant be anyways? You're a detective! James is super smart! And I've got the rockin' bod that gets us access to anywhere we need to go!"

"... in front of Waverley," Ben finished. He wondered why he even bothered.

James then had the good idea to point out that they ought to tell Veil before they went anywhere. Maybe Veil knew something about Lexi - she was the leader of the Washington D.C. Underground station, she had a personal relationship with all the other station leaders. She could put out a description of what Lexi looked like and get information back quickly. She also could call Xavier, ask him to use Cerebro, and spare Casper from having to speak to his father. "Let's tell Veil, we can pack some stuff, and we can road trip to New Orleans... Or where were you sexually active about six years ago, Jackie? We should start there. Do you remember who Lexi's mom was?"

Casper then blinked, seeing the dead rat appear on the ground. "...Is that Sunshine's pet?"

Sunshine

Location: Mutant Underground Hideout - First Floor: Dining Room
Skills: N/A
Sunshine glanced up from her empty Capri sun, having sucked all of the juice out of it. Her granola bar had similarly been devoured. Her stomach was aching with hunger, yet she didn't dare take more than just that. They didn't have enough food for everyone to be fed appropriately. If she ate more food, then someone else in the Underground wouldn't get to eat at all. Going on a mission would help to distract her from being hungry - and maybe she'd be able to steal some food while they were out. Could she convince Sapphire to call her agent friend to get them some chicken fingers?

"What's the mission?" Sunshine asked Spark Plug, getting up and throwing her garbage in the trash can. She had no idea if it would be something as simple as a supply run - which meant food, a bonus in her book - or if it was something more complicated, like rescuing mutants in trouble. That was also pretty fun. She liked using her powers over disease to make Purifiers ill. They so easily gave into a fever, succumbing to the ground and vomiting their guts out.

Of course, her secret ambition was to get a working bow and arrow. She had perfect aim. And she liked archery, having gotten to try it once when she and her found family had gone "camping." What really had happened was they were avoiding the cities and ended up finding a summer camp that wasn't in use during the winter, letting them have access to the cabins and archery range and all until the ranger found them and drove them out.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: New Rome - the Auguries
Skills: N/A

Nancy stifled a very slight chuckle as Niah said do your thing. It struck her as a bit anti-climatic after everything else Niah had said, especially with the relatively professional and confident tone. Perhaps it was a little bit of her father's influence coloring her thoughts - he was the god of poetry, he had raised the Muses. It'd make sense for him to have a little bit of an opinion on prose. Of course, Nancy always figured she inherited two gifts from her dad - prophecy and music. She had a voice that could shatter glass. She couldn't hold back the snicker though as Alexandra aimed her dagger at her throat, mockingly raising her hands. "Would you rather I fetch a thing of water next time?" Nancy asked Alexandra innocently.

She winced sympathetically for the poor stuffed bunny Madalyne had selected, as Alexandra ripped it open viciously on the altar. Once again, Nancy couldn't help but feel that her tarot cards were the superior method for divining prophecies - not that she wanted people to come consult her, of course. She didn't want Alexandra's job at all. Her information more or less complemented what Nancy had seen - three fauns, one dragon, and the gem was inside the eye of Washington at Mount Rushmore. "Rad. Y'mind coming with us to chat to the Senate? I think the three of us are raging to go and all as soon as we can." The Senate would need to approve this quest, but they had Alexandra's prophecy as the augury now, so they were another step closer in the bureaucratic process.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: Necromancy

Rebecca arched an eyebrow as Demetri came up to the top deck, complaining about the choice of music. "It is not meant to be pleasing to the ears!" she informed him, though he seemed to come to that realization all on his own a moment later. The horrible song had worked mostly, repelling the blunt of the birds - only about a quarter of them remained. The birds swarmed her, trying to take her precious grimoire, her Book of Shadows - a magical gift from her mother. They cut at her face and she bled, droplets falling down onto the cover of the book. She could hardly think as she thrust out her hand and clenched her fingers. "Serve me!" she commanded.

Arthur was not the only demigod with powers over the dead. Hecate was the goddess of ghosts.

A skeleton was seemingly spit out onto the top deck of the ship, dressed in old military gear from a war that had long since past. It was armed with a sword and did Rebecca's bidding, aiding the daughter of Hecate. The skeleton fought off as many birds as it could, slicing five of the birds for its mistress. Catching her breath and concentration, Rebecca was relieved to see that Lauryn had protected Arthur. He must have been too stunned to hear her tell him to go down below deck where it was safe. Others had come up too, including the daughter of Poseidon, spraying jets of water at the birds.

"Demetri! What's your plan?" Rebecca called out, her skeleton bodyguard at her side.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Crew Deck Hallway -> Galley -> Upper Deck
Skills: Rainbow Manipulation

"Sure, maybe they've got some stuff for tie dying on this ship," Leda said. She loved to add splashes of rainbow coloring to everything. It was dreadfully boring when things were just a single solid color - total blah. The brighter, more vibrant, more varied things were, the more beautiful. It was one thing she liked about Keira. Her eyes were green like the ocean - shifting shades in the light. For a brief moment, she had to wonder how much like her older brother, Percy, Keira would be. He was their generation's Hercules after all - and aside from a Cyclops, Leda hadn't heard of any siblings of Percy Jackson. Keira was essentially the first one in a long time. It was an even bigger legacy to live up to than Zeus'.

She entered the galley with Keira, briefly looking at the map of locations as to where they'd stop. She couldn't help but notice that Rebecca wasn't there. When all of the sudden, Justin Bieber started blasting - and Leda's ears felt like they had just burst. It had to be the most horrible, gods awful sound she had ever heard. "Bloody hell?" she cursed. She wasn't about to stay behind, though she had to wonder what sort of monsters liked to listen to Justin Bieber. Only the must depraved ones would...

When they got up to the top deck, Leda saw killer birds tormenting the demigods up there. Rebecca had a skeleton minion at her side, a spell book in her hand. Lauryn sprang into action to protect Arthur, as he was too young to know much fighting. She wasn't sure what Demetri was doing. "Don't look this way!" Leda called out, as she blasted rainbow light at a small clump of birds, vaporizing five of them. "It's safe now!"

Suddenly, Vinnie was awake.

Her blue eyes drooped shut and she turned over, burying her face into the pillow. "Just five more minutes," she grumbled. What did she have to do today - was there anything important or pressing? Nothing came to mind. At first, this allowed her to sink back into the bed and enjoy the warmth a little bit longer, having made almost a cocoon out of the blankets. She wanted so desperately to just slip back into unconsciousness, but something was nagging away at her - a little voice in her head that refused to shut up.

She opened her eyes, getting a close up view of the fabric of the pillow. "Wait a second..." she muttered, talking to herself. Talking seemed to come just as naturally as breathing - and not talking quietly, either. Her voice was loud and strong. "Do I have anything to do... ever?" she then questioned. It was a natural follow up. She couldn't think of anything that she had to do that day. She couldn't think of what her responsibilities were. She didn't know what her job was. All she could remember was her name - Lavinia Grace. Her nose wrinkled slightly. Vinnie. That was better. Just Vinnie. "Do I even have dental?" Vinnie then asked, feeling her teeth. "Okay, I probably have dental."

The room was so cold and clinical looking. It instantly made Vinnie sigh slightly, but there was something cool. She loved the way the bed was set into the wall, with the sloping wall. Her mind kept on wanting to look at a million different things at once, but she settled on just reaching out and feeling the wall. She had entirely ignored the nightstand, dresser, and door, completely fixated on the wall. "Woah. Interior design leaves a lot to be desired but... slopey wall gets a +10," she said. She then turned around, looking at the door as if it had a neon OPEN ME! sign. Vinnie rushed forward and pulled it open, finding just a bathroom.

"Is this a hotel?" she wondered, seeing the built in dispensers in the bathroom. They reminded her of hotels. Underneath the sink though, she found the motherload - free pads! "Come to mama!" she exclaimed, grabbing a few and letting out a bit of a happy squeal. It hadn't even occurred to Vinnie yet to be scared. Her ADHD was prompting her to look at everything she could find first - and seeing free feminine hygiene products? That instantly raised her mental opinion of this weird hotel. She stuffed a few of the pads into her bra, wanting to keep them for... when? She didn't really know. Vinnie then looked at herself in the mirror, inspecting her appearance. She had curly dark brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses. Her skin was fair. She did a one eighty and then grinned. "I've got a rockin' bod."

Vinnie spotted the tattoo on her wrist - another clue as to who she was! "I'm gay! Fabulous!" she exclaimed. It was a heart with the colors of the pride flag, with an arrow going through it. She made her way out of the bathroom and back into the main room, spotting a polaroid camera sitting there. There weren't any photos near it. There was no clue as to how she got here. Or where here was. The closet was a total bust, just more of the same kind of clothes. She turned as to where she had thought there'd been another door to try, only to find nothing.

"What the crap?" she exclaimed, tilting her head.

It then fully hit her.

I have no memories.

"This isn't a hotel..." she whispered, the color draining from her face.

Who am I?

"HELLOOOOOOOOOO?!?!?! SOMEBODY HELP!!!!" Vinnie screamed, before she began pounding her wrists on the wall in pure, abject panic.

Seeing that both Kristin and Zeke had left to use the restroom, Leda couldn't help but observe this would be the perfect time for monsters to strike. "Wow, it'd sure be a shame if something were to happen to me right now!" she called out jokingly. She ought to have known better than to tempt the Fates. Being cooped up on that bus for so long had only made her impulsive nature even more extreme. She had consumed her entire soda and was currently trying to kick the empty bottle off of her legs and keep it off the ground - a solo variation of the popular serious of the floor is lava games. The bottle clattered to the ground as Kristin came over... and a horse attacked.

She really shouldn't have tempted the Fates.

"Σκατά!" Leda cursed. She owed Kristin her hand. Leda yanked down on her pendant and her sword Ultraviolet appeared, glowing a soft red due to her agitation. Leda rushed at the horse and sliced upwards, connecting with its neck and she followed through. The flesh eating monster turned into a pile of dust. For a brief moment, she had to wonder what the mortals saw - did they see her just commit animal abuse? Were they going to call PETA? Did PETA have jurisdiction over flesh eating horses? "Zeke better hurry up, he's taking a piss, and I doubt this horse's friends like us very much!"

In the engine room, the battle was in full force. The conductor attempted to apparate away, knowing that his cover had been blown, yet Callum hit him in the chest with a hearty "Stupefy!" and forced him to stumble backwards. The Death Eater recovered quickly though, hissing out "Crucio!" as he took his revenge on Callum. He hit the auror dead on, sending Callum to the ground, withering and screaming in pain.

"Bombarda!" Flynn intervened, blasting the Death Eater and breaking his concentration, allowing Callum's torture to end. The explosion opened up gaping wounds over the Death Eater's entire body. Lionel wasn't as fast as his younger companions, casting "Expelliarmus" yet his aim was not true. He missed - a fatal error.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!" the Death Eater shouted. There was a flash of green light. Lionel slumped to the ground, his wand rolling from his hand. It would stop inches away from where Georgina was, hidden by Mary's charm.

Tears welled up in Bonnie's eyes, but she couldn't stop fighting for a single minute. "Petrificus Totalus!" Bonnie cast. "Protego!" the Death Eater countered. Bonnie's spell hit the shield with such force that Bonnie was blasted backwards, hitting her head against the wall. She was still conscious but a trickle of blood had formed.

"Aqua Eructo!" Lyra shouted. A jet of water came screaming from the tip of her wand, slamming into the Death Eater. The force pinned them up against the wall, stunning them momentarily. She didn't dare lower her wand, lest the Death Eater get the chance to escape.

Compartment 1 -

Penny hugged Madalyne back tightly, her face as white as a ghost. Compartments 1 and 2 were right next to the engine room, meaning that they could hear every spell in painful detail. A thin wall was all that separated them from the aurors and the Death Eater. One stray spell and they'd be dead. "We need to get out, if one of the spells goes awry..." Penny swallowed.

Talbott nodded in agreement. "Come on," he said, taking Madalyne and Penny's hands. He dragged the two of them out of the compartment and they dashed down the train quickly, running into the nearest compartment with room. The other prefects, along with the Head Girl and Head Boy, followed suit, dashing into compartments with friends.

It was a good thing they evacuated, as moments later, there was a gigantic sizzling hole in the wall of compartment 1 approximately the size of Hagrid.

Compartment 3 -

From the compartment, they would be able to hear everything going on with the fight. They would see the prefects fleeing from compartment 1, with those in compartment 2 relocating as well out of fear and terror. There was a near symphony of compartment doors sliding shut, doors locking, older students casting protective charms. Someone on the train was crying.

Compartment 13 -

"Nothing good," Andre gulped, his own wand at the ready. He wasn't much of a duelist. He wished that Zelda's best friend was back - Paige was captain of the dueling club, probably one of the best witches at Hogwarts when it came to fights. Three people then burst into the compartment and Andre yelped, peeing his pants a little (thankfully not enough for anyone to notice). "Talbott! Bloody hell, don't do that!" Andre snapped.

Talbott was a Ravenclaw in their year, the other prefect for the fifth year cohort. Penny Haywood, the most popular witch at Hogwarts, was holding his hand. Talbott's other hand was securely around the wrist of Madalyne Crane, the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain.

"It's horrible, there's a Death Eater on the train," Penny explained. "Have either of you seen Beatrice?" she then asked, worried.

"She's next door, playing Snap," Andre immediately reassured Penny. A visible weight was lifted from her shoulders.

Paige Atwell

Location: Compartment 15
Magic: N/A

Beatrice looked at Fae with confusion for a moment, before her mouth curled into a similar smirk as she understood. She took the pile and split it in half, making Chiara take the quarter. She wasn't about to let her best friend be defenseless, no matter how terrified she was. "We're gonna be f-fine," she whispered to her friend. Chiara just nodded meekly.

Paige was enraged with Fae, wanting to snap at her even more, especially after Fae's physical posturing. Yet she knew that the Death Eater on the train was the far greater threat and she didn't dare turn her attention away from the compartment entrance. She was the best duelist at Hogwarts (her own words) and it was her responsibility to protect everyone. She highly doubted that Fae would be able to cast a defensive spell if her life depended on it. Barnaby's brawn was incredibly useful and she knew he could throw a hex if needed. Elizabeth was decent and dependable as well.

That just left the two first years and Fae as deadweight - at least the first years had an excuse.

Barnaby's eyes widened as Eliza conjured a dead rat, a cinder block, and then blew up the rat. The guts were splattered all over him. He had a soft spot for creatures and he let out a heavy sigh. The world was so sad...

"Ugh, so grody!" Paige complained. She had gotten a decent spray of rat guts all over her too. Her protective enchantments didn't do much about guts and blood. She brushed some of the bits off of her with her free hand, before resuming her focus on the corridor. Elizabeth's cinder block would help slightly at least. She hoped they wouldn't need it - she hoped that the aurors would come out and say this had all been a misunderstanding. "If the arses come, disarm them. Expelliarmus is your friend. They can't hurt us if they can't do magic and most Death Eaters don't have a lick of luck when it comes to wandless spells."

Artemis' voice boomed down the hallway, telling all of them to lock their doors and stay in their compartments.

"Gee, never thought of that..." Paige muttered.
