EPPIE JONES
The Lair
Eppie followed the others into the entrance of the Lair, noting that Gang Ming-Seo's true name was finally spoken and how she called out... no... more 'demanded' for the beast to fight them head on. This was then followed by Harvey's warning shot that resonated down into the darkness, and finally Alice's call for the little monster to appear.

"Do you really expect a monster to serve itself up on a silver plateau? Eppie wouldn't be doing that if Eppie was a monster..." her words coming out a little sarcastic as she walked past the three individuals into the lead position, pushing by the Third Sister into the room that she was evaluating. "We can tell you now that there is nothing in here."

Casually Eppie looked around the room, noting the tables and crates that were scattered around the place. The lights flicked ever so gently with enough energy to show what they were but not enough time for the eyes to adjust to the change in brightness. As she looked around she lifted her arm and rested her hand on the back of her head. With a slight pop in the skin, the back of her hand opened to reveal a glancing eye. After a quick look at the other villains, it darted it's gaze around the room taking in all that it could see.

It has been here recently.

Eppie knows, she can see the damage to the walls and equipment.

Eppie walked over to a table, placing her hand on the flat surface and felt the smooth textured that had been scarred by some beast. She looked down at the eye, watching it's gaze fixate on her face. "You will kill soon... Eppie promises."

The eye's sight narrowed slightly before closing up and hiding away from the outside world.
@neogreggoryhaha it was only a 2 min search through a music channel I follow. Didn't expect it to be the best choice. Just felt like posting some music. :)
I thought i clarified how ALice's power works. Her speaking is different than the italics.

As those are only conveyed to the person she wants. Anonymously.

For any questions as it seems some people are misguiding how she works.

Edit: I post when i get home from the first round of basket ball tournament. Which will be in 6 ish hours.

Under your character sheet, you could use a notes section to indicate what is what and the basics of how her abilities will appear, even with a quick example.

When I read animorphd years ago, they also used different characters instead of the quotation marks for telepathic speech.
Eg: <telepathic speech>
Other symbols like ~ „ # {} would be used too as indicators, but again, best if there was a reference sheet somewhere. :)
Good way to generate some lore and even a crossover. :)
Just a quick mention cause I saw it while bouncing round forums, but love the Bowie avatar. Very nicely done.
I'm sorry that you feel that way about my post. I was only trying to give you some advice to help.

I've been trying to get the same RP going for over a year now. I haven't had more than one person at a time express interest. That one person, then, just never responds back.

...

How long have you waited for an RP to catch on? Do you believe there is a time when you should give up?

When I read that, I naturally thought, "this guy has created a topic because he is having trouble, I'll see what's bothering him" and had a look for your ooc. I was going to be a bit more generic with my post, but when I saw your ooc I thought I would rather give some feedback in order to help another forum member. I even went through @Vilageidiotx and @Dinh AaronMk's NRP as well as @Ellri's Star wars RP, both of which have several thousand posts in total just to have a bit of a comparison.

Rigidity in a thread is what makes it difficult for others to get involved. Even in this thread we are having difficulty in a simple discussion because speech and topics are naturally fluid and will flow from one genre to another in order to discover what the route topic is about. So if we are talking about setting up interest checks, I spoke about layout, formatting, imagery and trimming the fat, but spoke to you as the OP by using your thread so that you would understand the topic more.

I remember once @Ellri spoke about using a simple map in rps as it can help so much with describing a scene. People can visually look at something and grasp a better understanding for the layout and design.

Like I said before, and this is aimed at everyone, go for that wow factor. There are thousands of Rps here and you need to catch the attention of a player in minutes. A good title, a quick to understand world, and a motive that engages people. Treat interest checks like the cover of a book.

I think that's all from me. Don't really have anything more to say on this topic.
I am soooo happy as GM right now. Also, I am waiting for a player who is just a little slow with sending me his charachter.

I'd be inclined to say that we have enough people to move on, and any late comers will have to work around that, even if they turn up to an empty warehouse with blueberry telling them they're late.

Only saying that cause they haven't got their CS up in the Char section and we could be waiting a while.
I hate how creativity treats me like shit, but I just keep coming back for more.

I'm sometimes afraid I'll just wake up one day and realize my creativity's left me, taken all my nascent ideas with it, and is never coming back. We didn't sign a prenup.

I'm even more afraid of never realizing that and writing under the delusion that I've still got it. Panic ensues.

Buy yourself a notebook or take random notes in your phone. Any time you have a cool idea, write it down. Most of it when you look back will appear crap, but it helps spark ideas and designs. :)
After a bit of mathing, I have concluded that my very early in the morning (in this case, 4:00 am) is NuttsnBolts very late at night. (11 pm if basic math is to be believed.)

I have also concluded that I am in love with at least half our cast, they are a lovely lot of people. It is a good sign when each post is better and more laughing out loud inducing than the last.

/me high fives

The timezone thing is a bit of a curse and a godsend sometimes. It's hard for me to directly talk to people when most others are on and it's usually through work breaks or days off, but while everyone's sleeping I get time to write up a decent post and not rush it. Not the fastest writer unfortunately. xD

Edit: and the grammar in that paragraph seems off. Probably tired...
