Whoever wants to play Death and War: We should team up and rule the gods as the four (three? I'll handle Famine) horsemen of the apocalypse XD

EDIT: Also if anyone is interested in fleshing out their god further, I'm putting a section in my sheet called "Associations" full of things that my god is associated with, but does not necessarily preside over as a domain. I feel like something like that would be useful to a lot of you!

I've decided to leave it where it lie and let Monkey take Death as his domain. on reflection, I've got too many RPs on the go and this whole debacle makes me feel like a petulant child. The God concept is something I'd love to do, but I simply don't have time. as such, I bid you all good night, It's 3am and I should really be asleep by now.

PS, Glad to see someone else as passionate about ancient mythology as I am, we're a rare breed

@Shadow Daedalus Maybe instead of War and Murder, you could think of other things associated with Death? For example, the Greeks had two gods of war - Athena, who represented the thoughtful and strategic side of war, and Ares, who represented the raw rage/passion of warfare. They also had two deities of death (whose names escape me) one had the cruel, painful side of death and the other presided over the peaceful side of death/relief of suffering. Maybe you can do something like that.

It's worth noting that in most classical theologies, gods had overlapping domains, so it's not really imperative that there be one and only god for a concept - especially because that concept is likely more complex than is normally represented in a deity, who are normally quite clearly driven (for example, having 2 greek gods of war because war has two distinct and fairly opposite aspects).

(If you're interested in overlapping deities, there are also Hera and Aphrodito, who both have the domain of love - Hera presides over monogamy and marriage and whatnot whereas Aphrodite presides over lust and passion)

Did I mention I'm taking university Classics? I'm a bit of a nerd about this stuff XD

Yeah, I'm certainly don't envy you guys right now. It sucks though because since we're so close as countries, your election is about as publicized here as it is there. It's making people argue and get angry and it's really just a pain in the ass when you know there's no point in all the unrest up here because we can't do shit about it.

I do have family in the states though - an uncle who's lived there for over ten years, but still can't vote. Good luck to you all.

I don't currently have time to read, but I'd like to read Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter as well as dive into my growing collection of classics and my Edgar Allen Poe anthology.
