Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another random themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!
Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.
Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.
OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, the Rocketeer, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.
Since the Skrulls and the Super Skrull will finally play a role in the Fantastic 4's story and 3D Man has been taking down a few sleeper agents you might wanna add a line somewhere in there like...
Season 1:
• August, 2012 - The 3D Man was born after a failed abduction by the Skrulls took place. Since then 3D Man took down several Skrulls posing as low tier heroes and villains including Thunderball, Black Goliath, Atlas, Dragon Man, as well as Griffin with an assist from the winged hero Archangel. Presumably they're trying to gain intel on Earth's technology and heroes.
I always got bored playing robots eventually. Mostly due to there only being two ways to write them, cold and logical or more human with more emotion. I was so pissed when the Vision finally got his own title again only for the focus to be on him trying to mimic a normal human family with a few more robots like himself.
@Lmpkio PM me the ideas you had for the alien mob on Earth, sounds like the perfect kinda thing for a sandbox of villains.
@FantasyChic Yeah we're gonna start with a fresh thread. Sorry if I missed it before.
@Archmage MC If you can make a new character I would love to RP with you, I personally like the idea of the tree plant person healer. I actually made that archetype for another poster who never got around to making the plant manipulator.

Yep you sure fixed it. I'M a lazy bastard because I can write a post without somebody telling me what to do note for note. I'm so damn uncreative if somebody doesn't tell me who to fight, what to wear, where to eat, etc. I have no idea what to do with a character I created. I finally have a place to use this...
If you insist on being an asshole, do it elsewhere. Just because you don't know how a sandbox RP works doesn't mean the rest of us are idiots. This isn't the only sandbox RP on the site and I'm sure it won't be the last. When you graduate middle school and grow up a little you might learn how to comprehend rules a little better.
@The One I'm not a fan of Deadpool or his wall breaking shenanigans. I dig the Egyptian guy though.
@The One Looks okay so far, especially for a villain. However you need to be more detailed in the power description.
@Lmpkio Looks a lot better and I dig the name. Only thing I saw was in one paragraph his father created the suit and passed it down. In another it states the kid made the suit himself. I'd probably have his dad be the sole creator of the Sentinel suit and go from there.
Yeah I think I'll migrate my previous character over here. This rp seems easy enough to usurp due to lack of willingness on the GM's part to actually regulate anything at all.
Yeah, you're not welcome in the game with this attitude. I don't need people who undermine the GM and I'm not a fan of rudeness, or people who don't know how to read rules, and I won't explain how a sandbox universe works again for a fifth time.
Needs to be more original, don't call him Ultraman, etc. From what I know of that manga it's too much of the same thing with him inheriting his father's Ultra gene and everything. I can't accept it as is anymore than I could accept an alien called Superman who's a living solar battery with a dozen powers. Change some stuff up, I'd LOVE an Ultraman type of character, just not Ultraman.
@Dedonus Is everyone already in the game's characters still *safe* or if somebody else wants them do we have to resubmit them all in the iCheck? And was Stingray ever officially accepted?
@The Kid LanternYes, the extras are realistic because everything he imagines is realistic. But they are only there to perform that one action. I've only ever used them in other RPs for driving tanks, giving Joe an evac, and dropping him off somewhere. Because he's only ever needed them when he's going some place that he can't reach by foot (at least not in a timely manner).
So if Joe is standing in the middle of the Sahara and he removes a radio, he will talk to one of the extras and they will fly in and pick him up. And I'm fine with them looking like STRIKE force agents because then they could suspect that if the Extras ever looked like anything else that there might have been a breach in his conscience or he's going rogue. But you have to see them like the people in your dreams. Unlike the people in your dreams: 1) they make sense, and 2) they don't have random happenstance such as flying a helicopter wearing pink boxers with bunny slippers and a red afro. No random stuff. Just realistic lol. They're realistic because he only knows realistic. But that would separate him from a person who uses dream or nightmare powers, which would make for a good villain or rival.
If he creates them then for one specific purpose, would he really need to 'radio them in'? Actually talking to them like they're more than constructs and actually people with their own conscience etc. still seems as if he's creating life. Maybe the term Drones would be a better fit for them than Extras. They can't have personalities, probably shouldn't even talk. Having what appears to be a driver or pilot in a vehicle he blips into existence is fine, but it really couldn't be anything more than that.
