I have got a lot of PM's today. Trying to answer them all. Please be patient. We are making good progress even got another player location to add in. Thanks to all who have contributed before we have even officially started.

I'm tagging those that we spoke with in the General IC who advised us to move this over to Casual. For everyone else, please read below. We're on the edge of having enough people to really get this going.

A colleague here and I are considering starting a new open world/slice of life game in the Advanced or maybe Casual section. This game will be of a familiar tone and concept to what you may have seen or participated in before, but with a more focused and involved approach from the leadership. There is no magic or dystopian angle for those of you reading this that may not be familiar. It’s simply a game of everyday people living out their lives in a fictional/fun city setting. Drama, romance, bring the world to life how you want it to be.

If there’s enough interest we will be introducing a completely fresh setting with new locations and perhaps a few unexpected twists and turns just to spice things up and keep interest alive and new membership flowing. We would be wide open to suggestions and we want this to be a community project. Everyone is invited to take as much stake in the game as they please. Your plans/input/ideas are going to be valued, i.e., you can expect things like time skips and major events to be discussed in the OOC openly and feedback encouraged.

It is not our intention to thumb the nose at past games, but to continue a genre and setting that we were truly enjoying. We want you to know that we’re committed to sticking with the game and if you decide to join then know that we would like a similar commitment from you as well. We’re not asking for a blood oath here, but if you wish to join we ask that you please consider a long-term approach for your perspective character rather than just a single scene that you may be envisioning that lasts a few posts and then fades.

So to sum all this up, we just want to create a Slice of life RP, we aint going to vanish like ghosts and are committed to making a fun RP for everyone as long as they want to play with us. We both enjoy the genre and want to do things a little bit different, embrace ideas from everyone and also keep it alive with our own to keep things fresh and creative.

High casual is about what I had in mind as well. Honestly, I only have time for a about 300-500 words most of the time anyway. I don't expect more out of anyone else.

I would say if we could get between five and ten people who were legitimately interested in sticking around for a long-haul RP we'd be in a good position to start building. As long as we could keep the devoted base, the game could keep going as others came and went.

I'm really happy about this sudden burst of interest. One of us will repost the IC in the casual forums.
