@POOHEAD189 ... Ah. ... Statement, you're going to be stopped by a shield.
Oh, that piece of-

@Banana Can I post? I really want to have Knight shout in his face.
... Eh. I'll post. With the information that Mary and Dragon will be retreating, I feel I might.

Sickle-Cell really does have self-propulsion, Knight confirmed as she felt his strength against her shield and saw him hold his own against Anomaly’s hand. However, it seemed like he was pushing against her wall with intention to push it back. He does not know it’s immovable when not moving, occurred to her with a start.

Entertaining this, Knight allowed her wall of frozen time to be pushed back, equivalent to how much force she felt in her mind that he pushed against the shield. The progress was slow, but the fact that it was slightly working could give him, and other criminals, the false idea that fighting her barriers was not a futile endeavour. She could use that. It was delaying him.

Knight felt a flash of hope as she felt herself lose the mental weight of the net with the blood-shards as Septima removed them from this world. Wonderful. Now she’d shape her wall and capture Sickle-Cell as he was pushing against it-

Gestalt created two walls, intent on boxing him in, and Knight blinked startled first because her mind went “I didn’t make those”, they completely invalidated her own plan by alarming the opponent. Not to mention, there was a glaring flaw in the plan that both she and Sickle-Cell realized at once.

She tried to shape her own shield to block the escape route, but it was too late, and Sickle-Cell was already flying out… and landed in front of her, staff of blood pointing at her. Knight swallowed, fear returning somewhat, but she let her other shield vanish as she prepared to clash… when he spoke.

The first instinct was to oppose his words with a flare of anger. “We don’t negotiate with the likes of you, as heroes we have to take you down”. But, as the hero in charge, she had to consider the safety of these young girls. … It occurred to her with surprise that Sickle-Cell was giving a peaceful option rather than just attacked them when she hadn’t expected him to. Did he not want to fight them? Was his target only the gang-members? The Protectorate was among those he had declared war against. … She gained a little hope for his mental state. She considered it a second or so more.

As a leader, could she lead a group of young girls towards a battle with significant chance of death? … No, she couldn’t be that irresponsible. To minimize chance of death, it needed a coordinated strike by the collected heroes of Boston to take him down, not just the four of them. Though, she couldn’t just let him act as he pleased, either. She came to a compromise.

‘… Leave this field without spilling one more drop of blood. Do that, and we’ll let you go.’ She held her sword ready as she spoke.

‘Attack anyone further, and we’ll be obligated to stop you.’ They would not stand idle while he took lives. It was that simple. ‘… Though you may save your allies, assuming you do it nonlethally.’ She added as an afterthought because she knew that, in his position, she wouldn’t stand by to let an ally be hurt just because of such an agreement.

@Sickle-cell Oh. Okay.

It's really weird, another universe where she means nothing and is separate from the canon and I still feel sad hearing about that death in this. Hah.

On a different note, since that's happening while this happens, I will wait for a post exchange from Kiddo/Draco to see what happens in that corner of the battle before I post with Knight, because that's happening on the same battlefield and it'd feel weird to progress here without it progressing over there.
@Majoras End I've been working, gaming, writing in other roleplays. I've been considering what Mariette should do, but it feels too soon for another move already (in terms of number of IC posts) and Eli's simply going to be watching the battle. So, I'm just intending to wait a few posts. Mariette's not supposed to be taking center-stage with too many posts, really. Hah.
Yikes. I don't think I've ever been in a roleplay where those immediately concerned posted so quickly.

If anyone wants to post something that involves them in the situation but don't have the ability to post quite that quickly, please say so, and I can wait with my next one or something like that. Otherwise, I'll just keep up with Banana. Haha.

Of course, if Anomaly's grab at his ankle works, then Knight will react to that next post. But, otherwise, that's her reaction in general.

Edit: Also, I think I forgot to show my reaction to one of the things that I read here. *a-hem*

Knight didn’t understand exactly why Septima didn’t think hitting Sickle-Cell again was a good idea. However, what came after was definitely bad. She could but blink at the horrifying image of Sickle-Cell staining his mask with a bloody hand-print and then looking to them. He dodged the shield aimed at his feet, and Knight quickly made it vanish to release the space of her capacity to she could defend herself if needed. Oh, oh this was bad. He was frightened because of Anomaly’s attacks, but still able to act. A terrified beast was likely to do terrible things.

The fact he went after the one blasting at his ally first gave Knight some time to pull the net that had captured a bunch of Sickle-Cell’s shards back, closer towards Septima while not obscuring her vision. She could but hope the Ward would banish that barrier of frozen time quickly, because it was currently taking up a significant portion of her current mental capacity. Then, after having attacked the one attacking his comrade, Sickle-Cell turned to her.

‘… Ah.’

If Knight hadn’t been anticipating an attack at any time, she probably wouldn’t have been able to manifest a shield in front of her in time to block that shot to her head, but as it was she had been wary of exactly that. A thin round blue shield, one and a half meters in diameter, manifested to block the blood shot. With the assumption that it was actually blocked and didn't curve around to hit her…

It occurred to her that the spot of blood was probably still on the other side of the shield and he could probably control it, meaning simply dropping the shield would render her vulnerable to it. Instead she sent the shield flying at Sickle-Cell, intending to try hitting him as well as blocking his line of sight and sending the blood-spot away from her. She ensured some space under the shield so her team could still see his legs, so they could counter his movements. If she noted him trying to move to go around it, she’d telekinetically move it to attempt blocking his path, swinging it to hit him if he made any fancy moves.

… And that was it, until Septima could banish the net containing Sickle-Cell's blood-shards, that was the limit of what she could accomplish right now.

Regardless, Knight stepped into his way. There was no way he wouldn’t eventually get past her shield, and as such she prepared herself for blocking his way, intent on fighting him. She had trained to include her ability to manifest shields around her swiftly into her combat-style, and knew she had tricks to play. She was fairly confident in her close combat skills. Not take on fucking Sickle-Cell confident, but she surely was the most competent in her current team, and she’d have support.

Gripping her sword with both hands, she leveled it and glared in challenge.

@Pirouette Depends on if the wind can wedge under you or not. If it can and won't just flow over you? Then I won't give any guarantees. Heh.

@Joshua Tamashii Pretty possible. Let's see... *checks his team* ... Ah, damn, he has no ghost Pokémon. A shame. Oh, well.

Anyways. Nicely posted. I felt like it, so you got a response.
@Joshua Tamashii

Jacques looked towards her with a pleased smirk as Amelia approached, and in response he stood up from his chair, took his hat from his head and placed against his chest and returned her bow.

‘Good evening. You certainly may.’ Jacques replied before standing up and placing his hat back. The younger man at the side looked back and forth between Jacques and Amelia with certain surprise. While his mannerism and words were always polite, there was always an underlying self-pleasing amusement to his tone.

‘I am a member of the Elite Four, titled the “Servant of the Mountain”. I go by Jacques. Pleased to make your acquaintance, young hopeful.’ Jacques told, looking at her confidently with his little smirk. The other person at the table looked back and forth in a bit of bewilderment before also speaking.

‘A-and I’m Charl! I’m the Move Changer! I can, uh… change the types of certain moves…’ Charl here looked like the time to usually be pretty energetic, but the mere presence of Jacques was giving him a boatload of doubt with every word, constantly glancing like he was afraid of somehow stepping on Jacques toes. Jacques himself gave no impression that he had even heard him talk.

Jacques sat down again and offered a seat to Amelia while adjusting his glasses.

‘I was at Kalmia’s lab, correct. The reason being, I also had an interest of spreading Pokédexes among the trainers of Isson, so I got into contact with Professor Sycamore of Kalos and had it arranged. It turned out Isson’s own Pokémon Professor Kalmia, who’s fairly new to the scene, intended the same through Professor Oak, but I did not consider that a clash of interest. Simply more young hopefuls that got Pokédexes. So, I was there yesterday to have the young hopefuls of mine and Kalmia’s meet, and have some friendly battles. The one you battled, Joshua, is one of mine.’ Jacques went ahead and explained something he suspected she should know and might be wondering.

While talking they probably got menus, was allowed to order things and potentially eat, but that’s not extremely important and can be left in the background. Unless Amelia had no intentions of staying for that, of course.

Also, Pumpkaboo is now holding a Super Potion.
