Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Hm, you have something planned for me? Alrighty, I'll keep a lookout then boss.

And I'll probably leave it to Amir for the child, but James did go out to greet her and April so maybe he'll tell her to get a check-up.
Y'know what? It's been a while since I've been on a RWBY RP and with Volume 5 coming to Youtube in a few days, I'm looking for an RP of it.

Count me in.
James Ryder Blaise

Once Jax seemed to have fallen asleep, James had started to walk around once more. He mostly played with some of the dogs by making them play fetch to get their daily exercise without having the need for them to go to an expedition. It kept them relatively busy and not just idling around with a risk for going out without supervision. They may be trained, but James still had to keep an eye on them. Petra's group had been quite a help with it but they were mostly focused on keeping the horses and their equipment in good shape. Speaking of his teacher's daughter, he wondered where she was. Last he heard, she was given a baby bear.

A baby bear. Honestly, James wasn't even surprised at this point. He was quite ecstatic to find out that they had a baby bear, thanks to April who had brought it back. After the initial joy on having such a rare pet, he began to have doubts. Like, what if it didn't get to make a connection with everyone else back at Lasthope. It might attack! He wasn't worried about the other residents since they could take care of themselves. He was more worried about what they will do to the bear. They would surely kill it. Hell, he isn't even sure if they would let it stay. Of course, he was pretty sure Petra could handle all that. If anything, that girl was stubborn. But still, he couldn't help but feel worried about the young bear. Oh well, he'd have to leave that to the future.

He felt a tug on his hand and noticed that Sphinx, his favorite dog and probably could be considered his own, had been patiently waiting for his throw. A grin spread on his face before throwing the stick and Sphinx raced towards it. As Sphinx walked back towards him with stick in mouth, he then suddenly dropped it. His ears were perked up, body tense and was lowly growling at a certain direction. James turned his head to the direction, ready to run and alert the group but noticed that Maisy and two other troopers were there. He relaxed at the sight of this. That meant they could take care of it. James walked over to Sphinx and gestured for him to relax. Sphinx did. "Come on boy, I think I'm up for a drink." The dog picked up the stick and followed he made his way to the camp.

However, he was approached by Maisy and gave him a lawn chair for Jax. James grinned and then said, "Thanks a lot Maisy. I think Jax would like it, but I think he would want April rather than anyone else here. I'll make sure to give it to her later." Leaving the item for later and then refilling Jax's water, he walked back to their meal tent to get some refresher drink.

While he was there, he got to talk with Jimmy. They weren't very close but they knew each other because of Felicity. James had been the one to show her the beginning ropes for veterinary and help her out when she was having trouble with Mr. Wintergarden's teaching methods. This caused them to be fast friends. This also led to Felicity introducing him to Jimmy which then led to the two being acquainted. There was his father too, who worked at Nova Ranch but the two never really talked much. It only lasted a few minutes before they both went on their own ways.

He dismissed Sphinx and he went on to rest with the other dogs who weren't with the other troopers. Seriously, there was nothing much to do. He could go out and find Petra, but that might not end well. If she wasn't anywhere to be found, it meant that she wanted to be alone. Or at least, that's how he interprets it. He looked over to Maisy who had a map in her hands calling out to the boss. James wondered what that was. He was about to head over to listen/eavesdrop but then he noticed that Jax perked up. James saw April approaching camp carrying what seems to be a small girl.

The brown haired male found himself walking towards them. "You have a child... whoa, it's like you're the one bringing in the young ones everyday." He joked.

I'll probably get a post up later. Just got me a new game and I'm keen on playing it. I'll keep an eye on everything's that's happening though and respond accordingly.

Rick stopped when Drip told him that she needed a second. He turned to the Amaura and the Vulpix. They seemed to have been talking about making a team. Oh? Maybe it was through the show of the Swords of Justice that they were convinced that maybe being an exploration guild isn't such a bad idea. Rick nodded to himself silently. Yes, they were an inspiration to many. Not to him though, they were cool and all but he wasn't present when they were at their prime. He doesn't see them as much, if at all, so aside from stories, there wasn't much he could base their personalities off. As long as they were go on rescuing other Pokemon, then they were alright in his books.

"If it weren't for your awesome ice blast back then, I would've been more injured than I am now. I owe you my thanks too. You'd be a great addition to the guild." Rick decided to speak up as well. As embarrassing as being rescued by a civilian was, he just can't take credit for it. She was brave at that moment. It might have just been instinct, but that meant that she had potential in there. The Monferno turned to the Vulpix, "Your friend here too. His tenacity's something to be admired. Good luck you two." He had seen a lot of junior guild members grow up into who they were now. Some were his batchmates, some were younger than him - but he always watched them with a twinkle in his eyes. He just loved watching people grow into what they wanted to be.

Once Drip was back, he grinned at her. "Ah youth, the realization of finding the want to help. It's always nice to see that someone had decided to join up." He mused before looking back at the two and winking at them. He then waved at Hanna rather cheerfully for someone with a sprained leg. He then looked back at Drip and then nodded, "Yeah I'm starving, man." He said before proceeding to walk once more.

Orion took back the necklace and placed it in its box once she has shown more interest with the notebook, though she hadn't said anything yet. The Beastkin crossed his arms and waited for her to say something, but he kept the smile on his face. He was a patient man. He's waiting an hour and a half for someone to decide once before, a few minutes isn't really a long time for him. She looked back to him and then asked for a demonstration.

A brighter smile spread across his lips. There was absolutely no reason for him to deny her a demonstration. He had nothing to hide as he had been telling the truth. People may doubt that, but he was an honest merchant. He prepared to tell her the instructions for activating the magic of the notebook when he caught the scent of smoke and the sound of crashing. He turned his head towards the incoming woman yelling for them to get out of the way.

However, the princesses's butler, Mister Silverwood he would soon learn, had taken action. He seized the woman quickly by using some form of time-freezing magic. Orion wasn't very well-versed in terms of a person's magical abilities. He wanted to step in and help the Alv, if anything because she was half of his kind. Though how could he have possibly helped at a time like this? Pay for whatever she had stolen? He was pretty sure that his family would be thoroughly displeased with that kind of act and increase the amount of money they would get from him. As much as he wanted to help, he could not.

Another sound came to his attention coming in form of what seems to be robotic beeps. It was faint, though. Orion turned his head upwards just in time to see the automata land and then began running towards them before quickly pouting when the half-Alv mentioned something about her being 'crazy'. She then looked at the princess, surprised, blurting out that she was actually the princess, muttered something beneath her breath before turning back to the thief. Orion leaned back on his carriage, awaiting for what would happen.

Surprisingly, the thief was taking this... very easily. At this point, you would expect them to be on their knees while begging for mercy or maybe struggling to get free. She, well, she was doing neither of those things. In fact, she was more impressed with the magic the butler was using to halt the knives heading directly at her. However, in the end, she did reason out and then mentioned the Grandian police. Oh, so she was from Grandia? Or was she a traveler? Nevertheless, his curiosity was piqued. What was she doing here then?

"If I may say something, princess, it would seem that she isn't the only one in the wrong. Though her actions are still wrong, unwanted sexual advances deserves a punishment of its own yes? Or is that not how things are here?" Perhaps adding his two cents wouldn't do much or it might even steer it into even more mess, but he had said it before leaning back once more. There was really little he could do to change their minds if they choose to imprison the girl or give her a minor punishment.

James wasn't usually sent out on scouting parties. This time was like those times. He's volunteered many times to go around and help, but since there wasn't a shortage of hands, they didn't really need it. And so, like always, James was in the support group who were in charge of resupplying the ones that are going out to scout. It really gave them an almost infinite amount of time to do whatever they want until they got back. James usually spent these times checking on each of the animals for another day. It was usually just to alleviate the boredom that was crawling into his being. Of course, they were still in peak condition aside from Jax, who was once more sat out of the expedition because of his injuries.

Jax had been an obedient boy. While he wasn't keen on letting his master leave without him, he knew better than to follow and get himself into more trouble which would greatly sadden April. He's been looking relatively better and James had just changed his bandages for the day, unless it would rain, in which case he would need to change it again.

He stayed with Jax for a while to see if the dog needed some more attention just in case. He didn't want April to come back to bad news after all.
So I'll probably post for the real reaction much, much later.

So yeah, looking forward to reading others' posts!

Swinging her legs, Amy looked over to James as he approached her. Perched on the rock, she held her ground as the young medic made his way over to her. Her arms were behind her back to support her as she continued to swing her legs over the edge of the five foot rock. There were fewer people in the water then before, most people had moved on - to work, fuck, patrol. Amy's face deadpanned as the first comment from James's lips rocked through her skull, internally sighing she forumulated a response.

"Hello James, no. I'm just enjoying the view."

She patted to the empty patch of rock beside her, there wasn't much of a climb - maybe not for the young man before her. Looking up to the sun, it was setting on the horizon. She smiled, her lips barely parting as her brief display of emotion flickered over her face for a moment or so.

"I don't always do traps, besides. I suppose you're correct, right now is a good time to talk.

After calmly speaking she turned to James, flashing a smile at him before leaning back into the rocks some more. The winds of the night were upon them as the air wasen't idle for long, its cold wraiths stroked Amy's and James's face as the breeze picked up. Seconds later the breeze died, perhaps the past calling back to them.

James simply grinned back at her reply. "Well, I guess it's pretty good." Well, he actually thought that it was breathtakingly beautiful. The sound of the waterfall splashing down onto the water gave him quite the relaxing moment. For him, it really was a good idea that they camped here. It gave people a reason to kick back and relax by the water or even swim in it. But he saw that there were few people in it now, since there were more things to do back at the camp. He already did his job, so he wasn't worried about it.

To say that James had been surprised with her willingness to talk with him was an understatement. You could say that he had his mouth open when she told him that now was a pretty good time to talk. You know one of those times when you can't process something and you just end up blankly staring at something for a moment or two?

That was definitely what happened to James. However, after a few seconds, it turned into a wide grin. "I'll take that offer then."

He then climbed up to the rock to settle at the empty space beside her. He took in a deep breath and then let his body relax. James sat there for a moment in silence with her. Perhaps one of the few moments when he wasn't disturbed by the lack of voices speaking. However, that moment quickly passed. He chuckled nervously, "Now that you're actually willing to talk, I can't think of a good conversation starter. That's a first." He pointed out. There were times when James was a little bit more than awkward. As social as he was, when things turn out the way he hoped, it usually catches him off surprise - especially when people who usually avoided talking with him suddenly agreed to do so!

"Have you..." He stopped for a moment, considering the consequences of the question but decided to go with it anyway. "Have you ever wanted to change anything in your past? Like, if I hadn't done this then that wouldn't have happened... thoughts like those?"

Figuring that he should share his thoughts first as to ease her into conversation, he continued speaking. "I have. I always think that if I hadn't broken off from my family at that one point in my life, then my father would still be alive. Y'see, I was a pretty smart kid back then but I was only just that, a kid. I saw this little toy inside a store and wandered off. Just as I got in, the alarm was tripped. I couldn't believe it was still armed!" He then shook his head, forcing the smile on his face to stay there. "So you know, zombies came, surrounded me and my family, my father stayed behind while me and my sister got out... and the rest is history." James stopped there, regret flashing in his eyes showing how much guilt he carried with that story. He then turned to Amy, wondering if she would follow up.

"No."

Amy said, her face tired and her body more relaxed as James sits beside her on the rocks.

"The past is what defines us, it's what makes us who we are. To change it would be selfish, there's nothing we can change but our own future. To dwell on the past is pointless, move on. "

That's when she started to get up, making a move down the rocks as she found herself quickly standing on the stand below. Wiping off any excess dirt and dust she looked back up to James.

"I think it's time for me to go help out Wintergarden and the others, or work on repairs. I'll figure something out, mmm."

With that Amy began to walk away from James and up back to the camp where she descended in the first place, the temperature was changing as the day progressed into the evening. A cold chill ran across Amy's back as the wind came back again to address everyone's anxiety of the night.

"Try not to let your emotions get the best of you, James."

James couldn't help but laugh to himself when she decided that she didn't have any regrets before figuring out that she had more things to do back at base. "Good luck with the repairs or whatever you need done." He said, waving farewell to her.

He then chuckled again. "Just something to think about Amy. You know me, I won't let anything distract me."
Jonathan McCallen

Jonathan knew that his reputation wasn't very pretty in Pallet Town since they didn't know about his special conditions. Since he was deemed creepy by most and unhelpful by some, he wasn't exactly the best person to greet you from behind. The knee jerk reaction of the teenager to his appearance didn't surprise him so he kept a neutral expression within his mask... not that Martin would would see that or anything so it didn't really matter. However, he did listen.

"As far as I know, I'm safe to touch." He responded with a nod but made no move to shake the boy's hand. His body keeps radioactivity inside for energy consumption so technically, he wasn't going to exude any sort of toxic or harmful substances. Thought, he understood why people would be confused at that. However, he didn't think anyone had the power to suddenly mutate someone else just by physical touch... that or maybe he just never noticed since he was already a Wasted himself which meant that it wouldn't affect him in any way.

He turned to the broadcast and it repeated the news. Racoon City and Boston had fallen? That was bad. He used to have a small house in Boston but he guessed that was gone. Oh well, he wasn't about to risk life and/or limb just to get some things back. They weren't all that important anyway so he didn't care very much. Then there was the thing about salesmen wearing blue bandanas. He'd still have to be careful since a bandit might be disguising himself now. Jonathan knew that as long as they didn't have carriages or didn't set up shop, he didn't want to try his chances. Though, that was mainly learned through experience.

Then, there was The End. A safe haven for anyone who was still living in this apocalyptic wasteland. It was paradise, a dream come true... and as others thought, it was a myth. It was nothing more than just a story for people to believe that there is something out there that is worth living for. However, Jonathan had already made plans to travel and see if this myth wasn't actually a myth. However, without the big boss around, he couldn't get out just yet. Oh well, oh well. It was wishful thinking that it actually existed, but anywhere that's a possible next clue to his robot's whereabouts is someplace he'd rather go than just staying put.

"How curious, this 'The End'." He voiced aloud, his tone not showing any emotion as always thanks to its robotic tinge. He then looked back at the teenager. "What a myth, isn't it? They spared no expense making it try to sound attractive."

There was an abrupt silence after that and then he walked towards the guards, gesturing the teenager to follow. "Is the boss coming back any time soon? He asked, the sound of his voice something they would be familiar with considering how long he's been here and how frequent he had visited. He spared a glance at the spider woman and the new girl but ultimately said nothing to them.
