I'm sorry, we couldn't save him. You see, he simply has no life.
"Damn! They saw me!" Violet exclaimed, ducking further back behind the stacks of alcohol. He shot off another two bullets at Boone through the small peepholes he could make use of. However this took his attention away from the highly sneaky Dirk.

"Tempest Kick!"

"Tempest wha-OW!" Click clack, Dirk's kick knocked one of the pistols from Violet's hand, where it slid several feet away. Far from breaking bones, the kick's power wasn't up to snuff, but it was likely to leave a good bruising, and hey, he half completed his captain's order even though he misinterpreted the intent. Win!

"Recall!" The Shrimp Brigade fighter shouted. At that instant, the gun he had lost vanished, popped right out of existence. "Waru waru pistol!" He grabbed his remaining gun with both hands and pulled. Amazingly a second gun grew out of the first! He then pointed both at Dirk's chest and grinned.

It was definitely a good call by Bonesword to change course. Ramming the King Crab with its shield armor up would've proven catastrophic. However now they faced an entirely different danger in that Emperor Vice, and with the Rum Runner facing perpendicular from that claw, they were perfectly lined up to be smashed apart. Hopefully Feya and Lilliana would take care of that... But Bonesword had his own issues to take care of!

The red Shrimp Brigade member landed his blow, a powerful punch from a diving motion, right in Bonesword's face. The skeleton kid was distracted by saving the ship and charging up a strike that he forgot to actually fight back, and he paid the penalty. The force of the blow left a crack in the kid's left cheek bone and knocked him a couple meters back. "Nobody escapes Justice!" The fighter cheerfully cried out, closing the distance for another punch.

Caesar's tactics were quite well thought out, and took great advantage of the element of surprise. Though his Omni Slash toward Blue had ended up missing thanks to Yellow's interference, he was able to slam into Green from behind and pin the trident user down to the floor. Caesar's attacks could only be described as vicious, tearing into the downed fighter with bursts of electro and sharp claws. The fighter couldn't even mount a struggle, much less a defense! And then Green disappeared, leaving Caesar to fall to the floor. What?

As this went on, Slick engaged with the pair of Blue and Yellow, utilizing his oil powers to great versatility. However the cook couldn't predict Yellow completely ruining his plan. With a high speed twirl, he swung his chain in a spiral with such force that the oil flew off in all directions! In the same motion, the heavy ball caught Blue in the air, yanking him out of the path of Caesar's projected electro. The chain ball launched Blue toward Slick, now wielding his flamethrower, at incredible speed. But to make matters worse, Blue split into two people! The other was Green, thrusting down at the cook with a trident!

With the danger of the Emperor Vice now threatening their ship, it seemed that Lilliana had a different priority in mind, and thus broke off her engagement with John Krabbe. As she took off, diving overboard, Krabbe paid her no mind. Instead he launched a stream of water upward to quell the flames. Lilliana wasn't the only one that had other priorities. This ship was his pride and joy, after all!

The mad scientist had little trouble maneuvering around the outside of the ship, thanks to BMO. Her plan went off without a hitch! Up and over she went, while two sailors fell overboard, each one letting out a Wilhelm Scream. The men looked up in surprise, but each failed to act quickly enough to avoid her dance of blades. Each, that is, except for one.

"Cowardly surprise attack, vile villain!" Cried out a man as he blocked Lilliana with a simple long sword. His strength was such that she couldn't press against him, and that was a big problem. He blocked the way to the sailor controlling the Emperor Vice!

This man was adorned in a goofy armor, like Krabbe's but pink. He broke off their engagement in order to strike a pose. "Presenting for your viewing pleasure," he snuck on a wink to the woman. "Shrimp Brigade Sixth Ranger, Brigade Pink! Blade of Love. You're welcome."

Feya took a much more direct route as she continued to challenge John Krabbe. Without a battle partner, facing the lethal bounty hunter one on one would be far more challenging, but the fitness freak could never back down from a challenge! "You idiot!" Krabbe chastised, bracing for her attack. "I'm no fishman! But I am! Just! As! STRONG!" He unleashed his blade to meet with Feya's fist. The two clashed, power meeting power. In a split second the clash winner was decided. Feya's fist bloodied, cut deep. Krabbe's sword shattered, unable to withstand her raw strength. The doctor's momentum carried her passed the broken weapon, and into Krabbe's face.

"Oomph!" he cried out, cooling back. Cling, clang, bang bang bang bang. The helmet flew off the man's head, eventually rolling overboard to be lost at sea. Krabbe stood up straight again, showing off his face for the first time. He was... Young. No older than twenty at the very oldest. "It seems you've got me out of my shell, kookiookiooki!" Without the helmet, his deep menacing voice was much smoother, lacking the echo, and was a much higher pitch. "King Crash!"

That damnable claw again! It came smashing down from above with greater speed than he'd displayed before! If Feya didn't get out of the way, she'd be red paste!
Ooooh man. I'm generally not one for slice of life games, but I love BH so much you have no idea. The world, the characters, the emotions, everything about this show is fantastic. I think it's the best animated show out there in this time, with only Rick and Morty being able to compare. I... Will think long and hard about my ability to participate. No promises.
Alright, it's been 7 days since the last update and hoo-boy this is probably the biggest that the warning list has ever been. I get the feeling that this might be a result of everyone having the "wait and see what everyone else does" mentality, but hey, that's why I post these warnings. To kick things back into gear. For the Wards we have @BCTheEntity@yoshua171@solokolos and @Lugubrious. We're about to start mission 2, guys! And get some good ol' PvP up in dis hizouse. ... Please never let me speak in ebonics ever again. Anyway, for the Jacks we have @yoshua171@BCTheEntity and @floodtalon. Which.... Brings me to the Minutemen )who are only waiting for @yoshua171)... And my unfortunate, but probably necessary, announcement.

Since the Minutemen were never part of the original design of the "main story" teams from this game's conception, but added in as a third option on the suggestion of certain players (whom are no longer even here) and has had it's roster rotate more than plane propeller, and has just lost Rend bringing the PC count of the MM back to 2, I am officially ending their tenure as a main story team. I will continue to update them myself as normal rather than drop more work on Eklispe, and the team will remain open to be joined by any new characters and players, but their overall importance has been severed.

Now with all that out of the way, I have a question for @Old Amsterdam regarding Rend and String Theory. I just want to be absolutely clear, are you finishing the current mission with the MM first before swapping out for ST, or is Rend adding the N to his PC immediately?
I'll get something out tonight.

He said 9 days ago. At least you haven't been active anywhere else, so I take it you're legitimately busy.
The Cereal Killer - Another Fight? So Soon?

@Lugubrious@BCTheEntity

Runch awkwardly scratched the back of his head as Erina questioned him on matters of religion. Apparently the chances of him locating his spoonsaber within these catacombs was so astronomically diminutive that she attributed it to divine intervention. Well, she communicates with ghosts, so such a leap in logic shouldn't be unexpected for one such as her, right? "Well lass, you know impossible may be impossible, but if there's anything I've learned on the high seas, it's that a million to one shot is practically a guarantee! Omnomnomnom!" Then Motley cut in with further inquiry about the Wishing Machine. Runch took to leaning on his spoonsaber like a walking stick while he addressed the vampire. "Well I mean yes, I found it, but Oren pointed the way so I can't take full credit." He gave a cheery smile, stroking the left side of his mustache. "It's in the district I was dropped off in when we were first spirited to the City, full of a bunch of churches and religious buildings. The home of the machine is called the Old Basilica. I took the liberty of encasing it in an extra thick dome of cereal for protection, packed so dense it's nearly as hard as diamond, omnomnomnom! I asked Serhan to guard it while I finished up the tournament, but uh... Well you saw how that turned out, eh?"

The pirate appeared to be sad, but only for a split second, for his morose was interrupted by the sudden announcement from Oren's drone. Another fight so soon? But they had just finished! Crud, was this because of how he spent some time knocked out in this dank dungeon? Darn, so little time to rest. At least most of his injuries were lessened by Motley's flesh-molding abilities, but it wasn't the most comfortable he'd ever been. Runch would just have to hope that this new opponent would be just as banged up as he was. Wait, but then would it even be a fair fight? Aw shuckleberries.

"Well, I guess that's that," the cap'n spoke, rolling his shoulders and stepping out of the tomb. "Trust or not, they'll know something is up if we don't participate from here. Well, at least if I don't participate from here." He gave pause at the time, then immediately brightened up as though a lightbulb went off in his head. Yes! Inspiration! Spinning quickly, he near-carelessly brandished his blade toward Motley as a pointing gesture. "Mr. Crue, you've been released from this competition, but if I don't find the next man on the brackets, no doubt the institution running this event will find fault with that. So cap'n's orders are to sneak about and find out more about our hosts and what secrets lie behind the veil. Aye? Miss Erina, if you would please join me to find our next opponent, I would be quite happy with your company!"

The captain gave a wide grin, then turned so that his coat billowed in a fresh gust of wind. Even his long, pointed mustache got in on hte action! "Onward then! To victory! To adventure!"
G Man needs to have Yakkety Sax playing in the background as he has his antics. Also, where'd he get that flashlight? O.o

Edit: I see, he was using his phone's light function. Still weird to call it a flashlight in the middle st recent post though.

Decoy waited patiently through the tirade of questions from the Wards, most particularly from Lillian's excessively quick mouth. Many of the questions were things that Decoy would gladly answer, if he thought they had the time, or that the young Wards could even be interested in such matters. Of course, as Ira was the only tinker among them she was the only one that had even a chance of actually understanding Decoy's explanations. Such was the curse of higher knowledge. Evenlyn postured a rather intelligent question herself about the second two settings, while Alessa was certain to address her secret identity. All in all, it was a very good set of inquiries made by the junior heroes. Ironically Ira herself seemed to have nothing to ask, which the senior hero thought a bit odd. Normally she was the most eager to learn about Decoy's machines in an effort to improve her own tinkering. Interesting.

"The second and third settings have been pre-programmed, yes. I took three dimensional recordings of you while training in order to capture the most realistic and proper actions that I could for these emitters, so they are one hundred percent lifelike, because they are you. You are most welcome to try them out now if you so choose. I would encourage it, so that you can get a sense of what the second and third settings are in advance so that you can utilize them to maximum benefit in the field."

A second hologram appeared next to Decoy, this one an overview map of the city of Denver. Decoy's image snapped, the sound echoing throughout the room in a grand fashion as the multitude of speakers projected it in an overly dramatic manner. As if that signaled the change, the map zoomed in on an old railroad warehouse in the southwestern section of the city. "Fun time is over, now onto business. As many of you may know, the new Protectorate hero Hermes has had a rather... Checkered past. He's done business with some unsavory types. Well that connection has led to the PRT discovering many details about our local criminal underworld that we hadn't before known."

Decoy gave pause to make sure each of the Wards understood and caught up to the situation before continuing. "Thanks to those connections, we know that The Community are having a rally tonight, which the majority of the members are required to attend. We don't have any information on the location or purpose of this rally sadly, but we have reason to believe that this old train station is a point of contraband delivery. With most of the gang busy, we believe this to be a perfect opportunity for the Wards to get more valuable field experience, and hopefully deal a critical blow to Denver's most wanted."

The Jacks - Community Drop Off: Let's Get the Package!

@yoshua171@BCTheEntity@Eklispe@floodtalon@Old Amsterdam

The old rail station sat at the edge of some old dilapidated slums of some old Denver district. A few abandoned rail cars sat here and there on old unused tracks, clearly relics of an old time. A quick drive by the location would tell anybody paying attention that a couple of gangbangers were guarding the front door, armed with small guns and wearing bandannas over their faces. Cops in this area were very few and far between sadly, and most avoided the more dangerous parts of the area for their own safety. At least that would be a boon for the Jacks. Law enforcement would be unlikely to show up if gunshots went off.According to the timetable that the Broker had given them, the crates should have been delivered about an hour ago.

The Minutemen and Swarm - We're Selling Like Hotcakes Today!

Miss Sheila Jones gave pause as the Minutemen asked her some basic questions. She seemed to sense Kyoshi's distrust, and made that known with a look as she placed the lipstick back into her purse. "As far as I know, we've never accepted any of their 'help.' It's unthinkable that daddy would do such a thing, but..." She gave a half-hearted shrug. "People flying and lifting buses are common now, so I guess nothing is impossible?"

That's when the door to the apartment-turned-office had another knock. G4M3R was quick to open it up, revealing a well dressed man holding a briefcase. "Welcome sir! G4M3R here, happy to have you in our office today. Please take a seat, and we'll be right with you as soon as we finish up business with this young lady."

"Actually, I think we're done." Sheila stood up, twisted her waist a couple times to pop her back, then slowly strolled for the door. "I hope you'll come help us. I don't... Trust the Protectorate. Government capes just don't give me a good feeling, you know? I prefer the private sector. Ciao, lovelies." Without another word Sheila Jones was out the door, heading for the parking lot.
@Eklispe Looks good to me, save a few spelling/grammar errors. She's approved. You can make your own adventures, drop in on other teams/characters, or request that I make a quest line for her.
@Pathfinder@Demon Shinobi@Prince of Seraphs@Skwint Got an update out. Hopefully this can pick up again.
