Basil could tell that she was a bit hurt to not have been considered for the job, or to not even be acknowledged at all. That she may be left behind. "I wouldn't take it personally. You didn't get a chance to show her how capable you are or perhaps she knows from Lorette the purpose of your journey and doesn't want to burden you with more than you're already dealing with." Basil smiled reassuringly and then said, "But I won't complain if you want in. We're partners, aren't we?"
Basil went silent for a second and then looked mildly embarrassed. "I, uh, that sounded less cringey in my head."
Before they walked, Basil glanced down at the Meditite. He couldn't remember if that was one of the Pokemon she had out when they first met, or rather, the time she almost jumped him. It was kind of crazy how the situation flipped from nearly being attacked by her to now travelling side-by-side.
As they walked Basil decided to share what was going through his head. "I'm thinking we may need to make a pitstop when we leave the village though I'm not sure where to go. If we stopped by Cooldome we could get some guidance and training from strong trainers, and it would at least be on the way to Raremine. On the other hand, if we stopped by the Private Palace, I could maybe get us a couple of favors from David Strickland to help us with tracking Landorus." He grimaced at the very thought of using any of his connections for his personal gain... But he could not deny that if there was anyone that could help Anise and maybe help him circumvent the six Pokemon limit so he could keep Stella on his person.
"Though before we leave, I really need to check out the herb store again... Oh right you weren't there for that. Long story short me and an herbalist named Earl, like Earl Gray, helped the store develop products. Well, I offered some berries I had, and he did the work, but I did some advertising. Kinda wanna see how that worked out." Basil blinked a few times before he realized he was dominating the conversation. "Sorry, I'm rambling again. Do you have any thoughts on where we should go?"
As they talked, Basil had realized that this part of the village was more overgrown with a higher pollen count. Luckily, her Meditite kept them from stepping on a flower that was actually a Pokemon. Of course, Anise was concerned and for understandable reasons.
With a sheepish smile he said, "Honestly, I think I just instinctively headed towards the quietest part in the village. It's beautiful though, isn't it? It's so much different than back home." He walked slightly ahead of Anise and looked around at the Pokemon that made their home here. He chuckled nervously. "Albeit one wrong step and we're cooked, but I don't think we need to worry. Just be a polite guest, watch your step, and we're safe... probably."
He looked up at the trees to see some Jumpluff were lodged in the trees. "Although it looks like some of them are stuck. How about we do a good deed?" Basil grabbed a couple of his Pokeballs from his belt and tossed them to reveal Crocus, the Bulbasaur, and Glory the Hawlucha.
"Bulba!" The Bulbasaur cried out happily. Crocus seemed to love how green and pollenated the forest was.
"Haw!" Glory struck a pose, flexing its birdy muscles.
Basil looked down and smiled at them. "Hey Crocus, hey Glory. Mind lending a hand with getting those Jumpluff out of the trees?" His Pokemon nodded in response, and he knelt down to give them a gentle head pat.
Looking back up at the Jumpluffs in the general vicinity, he called out to them. "Um, hey Jumpluffs? We're gonna help you out so be cool, okay?"
Basil would have Glory nimbly try to help to dislodge the Jumpluff from the trees and if needed use a Karate Chop on any branches if they were too stuck. Crocus would extend its vines from its back and try to tug them out if possible though if it were not the Bulbasaur would try to break them with vine whip.

"Uh, I'll see you around then, Ms. Sylvia" Basil said as he pocketed the address and phone number handed to him, watching the special investigator go off into the village to find out more from the local police.
Kalmia continued to be concerned for his well-being and regrettably had return to Pureplain as she was most needed there. After being unimpressed by Jacques, the professor looked for some reassurance from Anise and him. "You can count on us." Basil said as reassuringly as he could. He had no protests, or any other matters to consult with them so he just watched as they flew up to the sky.
A sense of relief washed through Basil, his shoulders sagged as he felt all the tension in his body release. "That was a lot." He felt pretty worn out from this endeavor. The battle, the ever-changing situation, reassuring everyone that he was fine, and now he accepted a new job. It was a lot.
He looked at Anise who had been relatively silent for the most part. "Are you okay? You were pretty quiet for that meeting." When she responded, Basil would say, "I think I need to clear my head. Think about what I need to do next, you know? You're welcome to join me if you want. Company is always appreciated."
Regardless of the response, Basil was going to go for a walk around the village unknowingly heading into the direction of the Ancient Woods
"Neil, please, just call me Neil." He said, clearly a bit uncomfortable with the formality he was being treated with. "And no, not that I know of, and I doubt it's a Pokemon. Whoever got in had to know the code, which should be impossible since only my wife and I know it. That and the other question is how they found out and how they've been avoiding all of the security cameras around the ranch. It's top of the line stuff."
Oddly enough, he looked insecure. His arms were crossed together, and his brow was furrowed as if he was trying to wrack his brains together though there was definitely something that he was worrying about. It was reasonable considering the situation though it was odd behavior. Archie was used to seeing his parent's act, pretending to be something that they were not, so he could see that there was something else to this man's worries. It was as if he was hiding something.
However, there was something else. Bravos would see something glistening in the light around one of the lower-level incubator handles, just small enough that even if someone was looking for it, they would not be able to find it easily. Something... pink? It was a bit gloopy, for lack of a better word. Something was in here before.
Sabine pondered on Vivian's question for a moment. "I know outside of Nexus is the Alabaster Ruins though if you're really into learning about the region's history maybe you want to check out King's Cross at some point? It's the oldest city in the region. What do you recommend?" She looked towards Connor.
He looked as if he was wracking his brain to see what he could think of, scratching his chin in thought. "Well, Rubycrest Desert is more my neck of the woods, and I know for a fact that there's something hiding beneath those sands. Could check out the Shattered Tower too, now that's a weird place from what I've heard." His eyes widened as if something just clicked in his head and he snapped his finger. "Actually, you may want to start in Starbor. You've probably never heard of this since you're not from here, but supposedly Starbor Forest is home to what some folks call the 'Forest Deity."
"Huh, that's news to me." Sabine commented.
Connor grinned as if he got one up on her and continued. "Long ago in ancient times, there was a calamitous fire that razed forests and villages into simply ash. In the aftermath, when everything was already lost both people and Pokemon prayed for a miracle, anything to save them. Their prayers were answered by what is known as The Forest Deity, who raised the forest that we see today from the ground and taught man how to live alongside with its creation, hence the village." He vaguely gestured to the towering woods that stretched to the sky.
"There is apparently a shrine dedicated to the Deity, but the truth is that no one has ever seen it. Frankly, I think it's a load of bunk. You'd think someone would have found it by now." The cowboy shrugged as if to dismiss the idea entirely.
Sabine grinned and said, "Ye of little faith. I'm surprised that you even know that one. You've been holding out on me."
"Hey, I'm from here! I ought to know a few folk legends." He exclaimed. He focused back on Vivan and said, "But you should talk to locals, chances are you'll learn something that'll point you in the right direction though be careful. Sometimes people will tell you some wild stuff."
"Are you talking about the fisherman that said he saw someone fall out of the sky?"
"Yeah, absolute raving lune. He's probably still around here if you're interested."
Well, what does Vivian want to do?

Faye would get the strong feeling that she has seen this woman somewhere before though she would have to push it to the side for now as she was in her first ever battle with a wild Pokemon.
Sage slammed himself against the Espurr with the entirety of its body weight and thanks to catching it completely off guard, they dealt a critical hit. The Espurr was sent rolling along the ground and looked up just in time to see a cloud of dust kicked towards its way. It jumped out of the way in time to avoid the Sand Attack though it looked quite weakened already if Faye wished to catch it.
The woman looked quite surprised by the sudden appearance of Faye though grateful. "I, uh, yes. I am..." She glanced down to see a Snubbul tugging at the hem of her pants with a big grin on its face. The woman looked like she was ready to scold the Pokemon. "And I see you found the runaway." She murmured though when she returned to focus on the fight, she yelled, "Hey, watch out!"
With a surprising burst of speed, the Espurr appeared in front of Sage thanks to a handy dandy move called Fake out and right before Sage thought it was going to be struck, the psychic-type's paws clapped together instead of striking the Eevee. This thought would cause Sage to flinch, and this was quickly followed up by a swipe from the Espurr's claws.
While Nils and Clarissa conversed quickly, the detective spoke to the boy. While some would expect him to be leaping for joy, he seemed more bothered than celebratory. "Hm... So, you're unrelated to everything else then. Alright kid let's get you back home."
He focused on the two kids and smiled at them. "Thanks for the help kids, and Nils, if you need anything you always have my card. I definitely owe you a solid for this." With that, he gave them a wave as they traversed their way out of the sewers. After climbing up from the depths and pushing a manhole cover off, they were back on the surface. Fresh air filled their lungs, or at least as much fresh air anyone could get in a city.
As they walked through the city, people and Pokemon gave them a wide berth because for lack of a better term, they smelled of sewage. They reeked of pure unfettered shit. Eventually they found the Pokemon Center that Amelia was staying in.
They entered the red roofed building with a big standard Pokeball hologram floating above the sliding glass doors and found themselves in a lobby for a comfortable cafe or motel, filled with friendly and comfortable furniture that trainers of all skill levels were welcomed. One would have imagined it to be much more sterile as it was a place to heal Pokemon, but it was so much more than that.
There was a dining area on one side and near the back of the building were accommodations for any trainer needing to rest their weary head and have a bath because Arceus above some of you are going to need it big time. Of course, there was a section where various PCs were lined up ready to be used to withdraw and deposit Pokemon to and fro their designated storage space. In your case, Kapoc's lab and in that wide open space where they had received teir starters.
Of course, there was the all-important Nurse Joy standing at her station with her ever-pleasant smile, ever present in every Pokemon Center across Evig. Was it the same Nurse Joy or a different one? Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to.
Next to the Nurse Joy station was another counter top that just had a sign that said Move Tutors returning soon!
Approaching the station, Nurse Joy gave her an upbeat smile and said, "Welcome to the-" The smell hit the Nurse Joy like a baseball to a window. "Showers, now."
...Evelyn, it's Starbor. Like Star and Arbor. Starbor. Coincidentally, a kind of kale too. Anyway!
Approaching a random stranger, she asked where she could sell her mushrooms. "Huh, oh you'd need to go to the Starscaper layer for that. A Kalosian restaurant called Le Champignon has a head chef that tries to source wild mushrooms. You can get up there with the gondolas."
Thank you, random citizen.
Well, there was only one thing to do then. It wasn't hard to find the gondolas; all that anyone had to do was to look up and the follow the ones heading downwards from above or just head a kiosk and ask. Either way, Evelyn would find herself at a gondola station with a crowd of people. It was basically like train station with benches lined up and arrival and departure timings listed on a holographic screen that hovered on the walkway.
Eventually, a yellow gondola with a red roof like one would find for a ski lift arrived except it was about the size of a bus. Inside the cart one could either stand and hold onto the poles and railings to keep themselves in place or if one was lucky enough, they could grab one of seats that lined against the windows. There was no conductor or even a person in there, it all seemed to be automated by computers.
A woman's voice from a speaker inside the gondola said the doors would be closing and Evelyn would watch as she was being lifted up into the air. Over the course of the ride, she would get to see the other layers of the village, people going about their days on these wooden platforms many stories high above the ground as if it was nothing. Then again, she too was now many stories high above the ground as well. Occasionally, a gust of wind would gently rock the gondola along the cables it rode though no one inside reacted.
Eventually, the gondola came to a gentle halt and doors slid open.
Starbor Village
Starscraper District
Upon the very top of the canopy of Starbor Village was its Starscraper District. By comparison to the lower layers, it felt more modern, more commercial. Solar panel farms lined the tops of many buildings, powering the village on this layer and below.
One would get the best view of the region up there though the best time every be up here is when the sun is setting and when it is rising. A place filled to the brim with just about anything to keep your interest with both villagers and tourists going about their own business though many would try their best to get the best view on top of the Elder Tree, the tallest tree in the village where people go to its observational deck to get a view of East Evig.
Beyond beautiful views, there was also the Battle Square where trainers test their might against one another for bragging rights and reputation. If that does not tickle one's fancy, one could go to the ornate Contest Hall for any aspiring Coordinators. Oh yeah, the gym is here too. An impressive stadium attached to particularly large branch from the Elder Tree.
Given how high up the district is, it is a decent place to find some Pokemon flying about and of course there were still some that made their homes in the trees where the buildings rested on.
Starly, the Starling Pokemon. They flock in great numbers. Though small, they flap their wings with great power. Usually with a large flock, it is barely noticeable when alone. Its cries are very strident.
Pikipek, the Woodpecker Pokemon. It pecks at trees with its hard beak. You can get some idea of its mood or condition from the rhythm of its pecking. It may look spindly, but its neck muscles are heavy-duty. It can peck at a tree 16 times per second!
There were also these acorn like Pokemon that made their home on the branches as well.
Seedot, the Acorn Pokemon. If it remains still, it looks just like a real nut. It delights in surprising foraging Pokémon. It attaches itself to a tree branch using the top of its head. Strong winds can sometimes make it fall.
Eventually, Evenlyn would find the restaurant. It was very Kalosian restaurant, a Brasserie, something that was more casual than fine dining, but fancier than a bistro. The sight of a trainer like Evelyn was a bit unusual though that was more likely because she was a child and this place definitely was not a cheap eat. For the sake of brevity, upon informing the servers that she had mushrooms to sell the head chef was brought out. He too also looked very Kalosian to point one could have considered them a stereotype.
For the sake of brevity, 3x tiny mushrooms and 1x big mushroom would net Evelyn 6,500P. It turns out that getting your hands dirty did pay.
So, now what?

"Believe me kid, you'll know it when you see it." Was all the fisherman said before he casted his rod back into the sea.
Siegfriend, Freya, and Asta exchanged numbers with Steph because for some reason, their numbers were not included in her phone even though the group she was part of today all had each other's phone numbers. Weird.
Upon being offered to hang around while she fished, Asta gave her an awkard look. "Ah, well I don't really have the patience for fishing, and he just follows me wherever I go. If you're heading your way down to Route 4, we'll probably bump into each other again at some point. Be seeing ya babes and hey, maybe next time I'll get to battle you. Siggy too! She finished off with a big grin on her face.
"Till me meet again." He bowed to both of them respectfully and then with Asta by his side walked off.
Freya looked at Steph and said, "I, uh, I guess I'll hang around. Don't really have a travelling companion like that... or anything like that to be honest." Never before had Freya felt painfully single until this very moment. She sat down with Steph and pulled out her own fishing rod to kill the time too.
And with that Steph was fishing... Yup, so exciting. A whole bunch of bloody nothing. What the hell was the GM thinking giving this kind of boring, bloody-?
The bob on the fishing line tugged downwards! Something was on the line! Steph began to tug upwards, drawing the line above the water and she found a...!
#129-Magikarp, the Fish Pokemon. It is virtually worthless in terms of both power and speed. It is the weakest and most pathetic Pokémon in the world.
...If you want to you can catch it. It won't put up a fight. It's just hanging there.
Well one could always try again!
...
Also, she ended up fishing up a rubber boot. Not a pair. Just a single rubber boot.
Alright so maybe she had really bad luck. Maybe she used all of it up with her battle with Jean?
Well, the bob once again and this time... Oh thank fucking god the GM can stop rolling the die.
#223-Remoraid, the Jet Pokemon. The water they shoot from their mouths can hit moving prey from more than 300 feet away. Using its dorsal fin as a suction pad, it clings to a Mantine's underside to scavenge for leftovers.
It was fished to the surface and... how the fuck was it floating above the ground? It was swimming in the air. Not flying, swimming. You know what, don't question it.
While it was really at a type-disadvantage since it could only do not very effective damage, Glory was a Wimpod. They're made a glass bones and paper skin and for some reason Remoraid knew Water Pulse at level 4. However, repeated Struggle Bugs did wear down on it enough that Steph could reliably throw a Pokeball at it.
It rolled once...
It rolled twice...
It rolled thrice!
Steph caught a Remoraid!

Basil perked up when they mentioned that they were going to meet Professor Dustan as well.
"Actually, this works out then. I didn't think I'd have a use for this." Basil once again rummaged through his sketchbook and tore out a piece of paper and handed it to Jacques. It was that drawing of the Reveal Glass all the way back at the beginning of his journey when things were a tad less dangerous. "If you see him before we do, tell them that this sketch of this mirror, the Reveal Glass, has to do with the incident in Rainrock, and the Pokemon Landorus. Anise and I will fill him in on more of the details when we see him."
This was already quite a long meeting and that was a story for another time since there were more important things at stake. However, Jacques handed Basil a piece of paper and a gray phone, both incredibly valuable and Basil as a noble knew specifically how precious it was to get a freebie from Rukh. "I, um, thank you."
He was actually at a loss for words though now he had another reason. "You're offering me a job?" Wait, besides that, she was also a gym leader? That... sounded counterproductive to her other occupation.
And cue Professor Kalmia protesting though he really could not blame her. Even he said it himself he should be keeping his head down low. The smart thing would have been to say no and keep to his plan, but that meant there were crooks running about free just like that boy.
"I'm interested. I'd rather be part of a solution than remain ignorant." Basil firmly stated.
So, with new information on where they can find the Snubbull's trainer they proceeded to head towards the Gym, which was luckily not actually that far from where she was. What she had found was a large stadium reminiscent of a sports stadium or the colosseum back in King's Cross, something that could fit thousands upon thousands of audience members who paid good money to watch trainers of various levels of strength challenge the region's gym leaders. It was very clear that this was inspired by the Galar region's league.
The stadium had a massive screen on it though it appeared to not be operational or turned on though the Evig's League's hovered by the entrance; a Pokeball surrounded by roots and a tree protruding from the top. Yes, it all seemed completely normal... except for the sight of a fashionable blonde woman cornered by one of those strange cats with those crazy eyes that she saw earlier.
#677-Espurr, the Restraint Pokemon. It keeps its ears covered to prevent the intense psychic power in its body from escaping, but it falls unconscious if this power builds too much. Behind an Espurr's expressionless face is a frantic struggle to contain psychic power.
It was odd; for some reason Faye recognized her, but where? Well, that was an issue for later.
"Where's the gym leader?" She said, looking around before called out, "Can someone help?!"
The elderly woman smiled kindly at him and nodded. "Very well, follow me." They would walk through the park and this time return to the typical walkway that all the other guests used. The duo would eventually stumble upon a building made from the same pale bricks that made up the fencing that surrounded the park. It had picture windows that let in so much of the natural light into the building. Outside of the building was a campus area where people of various ages wandered around, some who looked more like seasoned trainers and some that were obviously just small children barely starting to understand how type interactions work.
There were outdoor facilities that looked like they were used for trainer battles though there were none at the moment.
"And here we are. Now if you follow me, I can make an educated guess where she would be." Jason would follow her inside of the building and into a lobby. On the contrary to the exterior of the building, it was more modern, sleeker, and definitely fed the idea that whoever funded this school was pumping a lot of money into it She pushed open a pair of doors to reveal an indoor arena with several battlefields. The battlefields themselves were standard dirt fields though there were panels with various buttons by each field.
There were some kids that looked like they belonged to a class, but there were a few that looked like they were guests. They sat further away from the kids. One was a grumpy looking red headed looking boy who really looked like he didn't want to be there. He gave off a very fiery aura or in other words, a hot head.
Sitting by him was a flashy looking young man with pink hair that reached the bottom of his neck, wearing any number of accessories. One could tell right off the bat that he exuded a bubbly aura and highly excitable, kind of like a dog.
Then there was a rather plain boy with medium-longish brown hair sitting between the two boys. He reeked of mediocrity, as if he was just the essence of an NPC distilled and given flesh. He looked very uncomfortable with where he was sitting.
@Typical There was also this girl, one that gave a frightening cold aura, the very definition of no nonsense. She looked like that she wouldn't talk to him unless engaged with.
Then on the battlefield there were two trainers standing opposite of each other. One was a girl about Claris' age with long wild blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail pinned with feathers in her hair. Her gray-blue eyes crackled exuberance and stood with confidence. From the other side was a woman in her mid-thirties with an aura of self-assuredness and elegance of carved ice though her lips curled in a warm smile. No matter what though, Jason could tell that they were not students; they exuded sheer strength.
"Oho? Now what have we here? A battle between gym leaders?" She commented with grin on her face as she leaned against the railing.
Standing between them was a woman who when she looked up curiously at the sound of the doors opening, looked at the elderly woman with wide eyes as if to ask what the hell are you doing here? The old woman just chuckled in response and waved her hand at her as if to tell her to keep going.
The woman cleared her throat and then said, "If there are no questions, may our guest battlers go to their station?"
A smirked crawled upon the old lady's wrinkled faced and she told Jason, "Why don't you go sit down, dearie? I think this is going to be a much more fun visit than I thought."
You really want to let little Timmy have a nuke on a rat because they were allowed to have a super powerful move? Because that's how you get a nuke on a rat.
Anyway, the Move Tutor would ask for for Evelyn's Rotom Phone. Once it hovered in front of her, his would hover in front of hers and then tapped it. If she looked at her phone screen, she would see a new app on it; a green and white Pokeball with a lightning bolt on it.
"And here we go! The Move Bank app was downloaded." He said with a grin though looked a bit perplexed when presented with the goods she found in the forest. "Oh, uh, I don't actually deal with wares, but a Pokemart would be able to tell you though apparently there's someone in the upper layer that will buy mushrooms for above market price. I think they own a restaurant. Something about them being a rare ingredient."
He glanced down at the items and inspected them. "I do know that the berries aren't worth selling, but they are useful to keep your Pokemon healthy in battle, and the stone, well, you'll get a hefty chunk probably, but it will evolve certain Pokemon, like Eevee or Gloom. Finding evolution stones in the wild are not a common occurrence and evolution items that can be bought have a high markup so if I were you, I'd keep it unless you're that hard up for cash."
Meanwhile the Growlithe would find nothing of note, besides the fact that it smelled like a forest in there.
Now what?
Also, if you do want to sell the stone anyway that can be a quick footnote.

There were various forms of intelligences so there was something that Steph was intelligent about... somehow. Maybe.
He held his hand up towards Steph as if to tell her to slow down. "Now hold on there. You talk the talk, but now you've got to walk the walk. I'm gonna start you off with something simple. You need to fish up three specific Pokemon from different parts of the city: one from the pier, one from the park, and one from the sewers. As to what they are, well, I'll let them be a surprise, but I'll give you a hint."
He began to list the hints up, lifting a finger for each one. "Here at the pier, you're gonna be looking for a fish that resembles a gun. At the park, you won't find it near the edge, so you'll need to get in the middle of the lake, and in the sewers, you are not fishing for a water-type."
He then handed her a fishing rod that was basically a stick with a lure and a few containers of bait. "Can't fish without the gear though, so make the most of it."
Steph received an Old Rod and 5x Good Bait
When you're done, just send me a text and photo as proof. Now, you got any questions?
Connor smirked at Sabine as they both listened to Vivian ramble on about her hyper-fixation. "Oh god there's two of you."
Sabine punched his shoulder playfully and then smiled at her like she found someone that understood her very well. "It's all good. As I said, I get like that too. It's nice to meet you Viv. Is it alright if I call you Viv?"
Meanwhile, Atlas made its appearance and sized up the wall with its robotic little eyes as if its mere existence was an insult to the Gollett. With its clenched, flaming fist, it punched the wall with all it had with a resounding pow... Atlas' received recoil from damaging the wall, its knuckles scratched up. There was nary a scratch on its pristine surface despite punching it will all its might.
Connor winced at the sight of Atlas' hand. "Oof, that's gonna leave a mark."
"Yeaaaah, I don't think it would be wise for your Golett to try that again. I think it will break its hand before it begins to scratch that wall." She returned her focus back to Vivian. "So, you got any plans or are you just winging it?"
Yeah, what exactly was she planning to do?

The Pikachu glanced back at Valerian and made a 'harumph' noise before nodding at Amelia, shedding the garbage bag off its body and tossed the paper bag on its head to the side before shaking its fur around. It then tapped the Pokeball and was absorbed into it.

New Pokémon caught! Amelia earned 1500P! Would she like to Nickname it?
Oh, the pain of rejection! Valerian surely has a long road ahead of him. So, with a regal sigh of acceptance that maybe not all Pokemon were going to want to be his friend, he would head on towards the Pokemon Center with Amelia with now filled out slots in their teams although in the case of the smol medium one was not entirely like the other just yet.
Oh, and because the GM is a forgetful dumbass, here is a level up for the following Pokemon:
Aurelia Rose is now level 6! Aurelia Rose learned Stun Spore! Camellia is now level 5! Phantump is now level 6!
Once they arrived at the Pokemon Center, they sat there as their Pokemon were in the middle of receiving their treatment. Amelia while waiting sent a text to Nils and Clarissa though they have yet to send a text back. Then again, things have been weird since Clarissa sent that strange video that was basically just static.
They soon received their Pokemon.
What do they do? Does Valerian stay with Amelia while she waits for a response or does he go out on his own adventure and leave her behind?

With Pokeballs in hand, they threw them with such precision that they smacked straight center in the swirl patterns on their foreheads and were absorbed in a beam of red light. The Pokeballs fell to the ground and began to shake.
They shook once...
They shook twice...
They shook thrice...!

And now everything had come to a still. It was funny, after an intense battle the only thing that was left was the peaceful sound of silence. As they went to pick up their Pokeballs, there was something that they had not noticed that under any other circumstances they should have been aware of as soon as they entered this chamber were not for the fact that they were on a rescue mission: there was a mural of the region of Evig painted on one of the walls though it was incomplete, the entire southern region and parts the western landmass were simply not there
There were several things odd about it, but what was odd were the symbols on them: a flower near Florasong, a sundial near Starbor, and a crown in the Jormun Trench.
Yes, many things to ponder about...
"Oh, thank god!"
Well, things to ponder about for later. The wannabe punk boy ran over to the two them and clasped his hands on their shoulders with tears in his eyes and snot dribbling down from his nose. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! I thought I was gonna be char siu for those Igglypuff! I just wanted to explore man, I just wanted to be free and be my own man, not dead!"
From the distance the three of them could hear soft chanting. It sounded like, "Tuff, tuff, tuff, tuff!"
The boy almost squealed and said, "Come on, get me out of here before they get here!"
Luckily, they had a headstart, and it was only really a straight shot to get back to the small entrance they crawled through. Eventually, after taking turns with crawling through they made it back to the sewers.
Dudley stood there waiting for them and had a look of relief when he saw Nils at least. "Looks like you saved your friend and the kid." The greasy look detective said with a friendly smile.
Also, when they both returned to the sewers, they instantly received a text from Amelia that read as such, Are you both doing okay? I'll be at the pokecenter, if the two of you are stilling wanting to travel with me.
