Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Just so everyone knows, @Hayazo and I have been working on a little collab involving dispatching of the snake and a little friendly bonding between the bird and the fox~

Figured I'd let everyone know, in case they had something they wanted to do with that.
@Lucius Cypher@Lonewolf685

And posted. Sorry for the delay~

So yeah.

Silana.

She's about to 100% tell Fran to choose between her and Suparna next time they have some alone time. I also don't imagine Gwynn will be surviving this battle...or at least, if she's does, she's gonna be really heavily crippled.

~Silana Delacroix~

@KoL - Agrees with Victoire's plan
@Lucius Cypher - Gives Fran the cold shoulder for fraternizing with the enemy.

Honestly? Silana was a little upset. She knew of Fran's extra curricular activities with Suparna, at least a little. What she didn't realize though, was just how...maggoty the queen of carrion was. She watched with mild disinterest as Suparna seemed to make an attempt to 'claim' Fran as her own. Not that she particularly cared about the company Fran kept usually, but there was a really huge burning desire, to crush this vermin under her boot.

But such a thing would be a detriment to their current objective, and it seemed as though Suparna was leaving regardless. She shot a cool, quick, glance to Fran glaring slightly at the succubus making her own displeasure known. Her and Fran, would need to have a talk about that maggot.

As long as Fran decided to fraternize with her, they were done. But that would be discussed later.

"Hasty..." She simply replied as she watched Suparna leave, quickly turning to Victoire and ignoring Fran. "Alive?...hmm. Doable." She said to the vampire. "I will refrain from using any heavily corrosive spells. Fear and debilitation are my specialties after all." Taking a hit should be doable as well, as long as it was a purely physical attack. Of course, she didn't mention this, since she would likely end up letting Fran get roughed up just a little. She was a jealous little thing sometimes after all, and she had to make her displeasure quite obvious.

"Hmm...suppose I may be losing this flesh for a little bit...heh." She smiled faintly, obviously excited at the prospect of making some mortals tremble in their boots at her true form. "Do take the lead, Succubus."

Gwynn Maoilriain

@Lonewolf685 - Speaking to Regia, agrees to defend against demons.
@Ryonara - present in the Cargo Hold.

Something seemed to be happening. The humans and Machina were fortifying this position heavily, from the looks of things. Nothing surprising, as this was still an ongoing battle. Demons? Or her angelic brethren coming to assault? She dearly hopped it was the latter but seeing as how things had turned out, she could only assume it was the demons. Pitiful really, that these humans thought they could stop the demonic hordes without them.

Perhaps she could escape with the treasure during the confusion. Not exactly the most honorable thing to do, but retrieving that was their objective. Besides, the safest thing to do with it would be to make sure it was taken far away from here. Not be in plain sight. Well...the machina had confidence she gave them that. It was a welcome confidence as well. Something Gwynn could find admirable.

Honestly now though, she was tired. Her body ached and her good arm was crippled. Any further fighting on her part would be...well, suicide. So, she let herself be held by her captors...at least, until they were apparently dismissed.

Valkyrie, you have surrendered under the pretense we treat you as a warrior and worthy of the respect of your rank. Demons will be upon this position momentarily, and if we fail here then I will not be able to uphold this agreement nor protect my Queen's Treasure. In this instance it is prudent I arm and return you to the battlefield to perform your duty. Eliminate the Demons, and the Machina will not soon forget the honor of the Valkyrie Gwynn.

...hah...rest was for the dead, wasn't it?

As she was released from her captors, she seemed momentarily unsteady on her feet. With the brief lull in fighting, the adrenaline rush had been wearing off, and well, she ached all over from the obvious wounds. Still, she managed to stand as tall and proud despite the wounds as she looked at Regia, giving her a rather pointed, though weary look.

"I will help, if only because the objective falling into the hands of humans is preferable to it being corrupted by demonic filth." She replied, looking down at her right arm as she tred and failed to find some feeling back into it, wincing slightly in the process. "Though...my condition is not the best. I am unsure how effective I will be in this battle." She sighed, shaking her head and turned her gaze to her shield arm. She wouldn't be able to effectively use her equipment at this rate, and she'd have to get rid of her shield if she wanted to fight these demons effectively...so she did.

The round shield fell to the ground with a clatter as she picked up her sword with her left hand, moving to take a position near the front of the defenses. She may not be in the best of conditions, but she wasn't about to stay behind like a coward.

"My shield protects very well from demonic corruption and spells...if any of you have need of it, feel free to use it. I am currently unable too." With that said, she lowered the faceplate on her helm, concealing her face and covering all of her body save for a small opening near the chest, in holy armor. Any sort of demonic trickery that they attempted to do through contact, would be more than a little difficult to accomplish.

"Likewise, if any human gets injured, I can heal them...somewhat, and if any corruption spreads stay near. I can combat its effects well enough to keep your men fighting."

With that said, she took a position obviously near the front where she could clearly be seen by the demons. Chances were, she'd be the first thing any demons saw...so she stood, stalwart at the front line, an aura of calm healing radiating from the Valkyrie. It was mostly for her own benefit, as she was more than a little wounded. Would it help? Well, if she could return the feeling into her right arm it could, but for now it hung more or less limply at her side, unable to be moved without severe pain.
@KoL
Working on it now. Sorry for the delay, was really tired yesterday.
@Lime Blossoms

Went ahead and decided to finish mine before I headed off for the night. Mostly to see if I need to change anything, or if anything is amiss.

just a heads up, post will likely be delayed until tomorrow morning. Kinda tired at the moment. Apologies for inconveniences.
~The Ever so Great Witch in training, Selma~

@Stern Algorithm

"Pfft,"

She could taste the nonbeliever disdain. Heh. Hehhe. Selma grinned impishly as the girl continued.

"If you're here to con me, then you're shit outta luck, kiddo. Im from the city, so not your average, gullible townsperson. Go back in town and find whoever is living the most comfortably right now, they're usually the kind of people who aren't willing to work hard to earn their way in this world and are more likely to want a 'magical' solution to their problems. Why am I giving you pointers? Get out of my mine if you don't have anything better to do."

The witch fell silent. She had to play her cards right here. Turn on the charm. Smooth talk her way into this girls head and make her believe.

"Gullible? Oh no no, not at all~" She giggled mischievously, offering the girl a smile as she turned to a cross legged, position, resting her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hands. "I think you're one of the most non-gullible people in town!" She hopped off the boulder she was sitting on, getting almost uncomfortably close in front of the other girl. "As such, my cute little human," She poked her playfully on the nose before giving a dramatic twirl and taking a few steps back.

"I think you deserve a free demonstration of my skills!~" She held out a hand for the miner to shake.
"So, here's what I will do for you. Give me one piece of copper, and I will turn it into silver! Absolutely free, no strings attached!~" For the sake of a possible repeat customer, she could give out a free little bit of magic.

...well.

Considering she got the spell right.
I'll try to get a post up later this evening~
annnd a post.

I actually have no idea how to catch a snake, so I had to do a bit of reading on that.

Hope I didn't screw anything up with that xD

And someone really should go help that other girl. I'd have Sevita do it but...snakes, man. she has a thing for cooked snakes xD

~Charlotte Lachance~

"A simple trick to know if they are edible is to look at how colorful and attention getting they are compared to the plant. They work to distract the animals from the main plant by providing something tasty and noticeable, fascinating thing it is."

huh.

Now that he mentioned it, he was right wasn't he? She had only a beginners understanding about botany, but she remembered reading something about that in a book.

"Hmm...now that you mention it." She placed a hand to her chin. "You're right. I'm not overly familiar with plants, though I do have a beginner understanding in botany and I believe I remember reading something about that in some research text or another." She let Urgoth go and gather more of those nuts, while she inspected the berry bush. She picked a few more of the berries, eating a few of them in the process. At least she wouldn't be going hungry, and the berries were at least somewhat juicy. It wouldn't be a substitute for well, water, but it could help stave off dehydration a bit.

She then made her way to the roots of one of the berry bushes.

"I forget sometimes how being large can slow even simple tasks down. This one for sure but better to do it right than not at all. Or at least try to do it right."

Charlotte chuckled lightly at this.

"I was told once that it's better to try and fail, rather than never to attempt to succeed at all." She replied to Urgoth. "A lot of the scholars in Astril can be pompous asses, but they do know how to get things done. That's something that we're taught immediately upon entry into the main tower. Of course, then you run into the problem of being too busy asking yourself if its possible rather than thinking if you actually should." She sighed at that, voice taking a somewhat grim turn but she didn't elaborate. It was no secret that a lot of Astril's mages and scholars were of the shady sort. Not to mention, the recent disappearances of non-locals.

With that said, the alchemist went back to the bush. She didn't really want to speak any more of Astril at the moment, and maybe she shouldn't have brought it up. Sometimes though, she had a problem keeping her mouth shut. So back to the roots with her. She dug into the ground, pulling up the roots of the bush with some effort. She didn't dig them up completely, no, she just wanted to study them. All plants had certain identifiers she could use to at least perhaps determine what plant species she was dealing with here. At least, if it was a distant relative to a plant back home she could possibly identify it...but no such luck. She also didn't have any knife she could use to cut into the root and take samples with either.

"Hmm...nothing like back home. Roots are Adventitious...it's a berry bush. Similar to strawberries?...might have some fatigue relieving properties..." she started mumbling to herself again, and was likely already drowning out anything else Urgoth might say.

~Sevita Lanka~

Sev didn't wait for Masaru to move. She slowly approached the snake, the creature hissing at her in a warning fashion. Normally, she'd approach it from above and snatch it up in her talons, but considering they were indoors...yeah, not happening. Maybe she could do something similar if she could goad it into attacking. She liked to think her legs were rather flexible.

"Woo! Go get it bird girl!"

Sevita simply cast a glace back at Yukine. She hadn't done anything wrong per se, but Sevita was a bit caught off guard by the girls friendliness. There was a time and place for such things...but, well, she couldn't help but to feel somewhat embarrassed from the cheering. Normally, something like this would be standard routine. Cheering someone for something so simple wasn't something she would have done, as it was expected to be done.

Turning her head attention back to the Snake, she positioned herself for a quick, clean, hopefully efficient kill here. She wasn't sure if the thing was venomous or not, and it would be bad if it was and she'd get bitten. If she had to take a bite she could goad it into attacking the armor on her shins. Of course, the ideal way to deal with this would be to somehow grab its head and kill it before it could even do that.

...it might actually be best to have a bit of help with that. Besides, the fox seemed eager to prove herself.

"Little fox," She said, getting Yukine's attention. "I will distract the serpent. If possible, try and grab its tail and hold it at arms length. If you can manage it however, try and grab it just below its head."
