So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Player Name: ChildHoodRuined
Character You Wish To Play: Miles Morales
Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero
Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?):(In 1610 universe.) S.H.I.L.E.D (spelling shield wrong was a pun), Young Ultimate's.

Character Origin & Backstory:
Beginning (1610)

A few months after Norman Osborn was arrested by the S.H.I.E.L.D, and his identity as the Green Goblin was revealed to the public, Osborn Industries was left abandoned. Nearly two months before Peter Parker's death, a criminal named Aaron Davis broke into Osborn industries. Unknown to Aaron Davis, a spider genetically enhanced with a OZ formula crawled into his bag.

Miles Morales decides to visit his uncle, against his parents order. While sitting on his uncles bag, a spider crawled out and bit Miles hand while he was eating a lollipop, causing him to pass out for a long amount of time. Later, when Miles awakened from his slumber, his dad was having a conversation with his uncle Aaron Davis. After the conversation, Miles escaped from Aaron's apartment.

While hiding from his father on the street, Miles noticed that he was more faster than usual when he ran over to hide from his father, when he noticed that he could climb walls, he noticed that he was becoming a mutant, or that's what he thought he was becoming. Alerted, Miles ran to his friend, Ganke, and confessed his new-found abilities. Ganke was amazed and did some research and discovered that Spider-Man got his powers by a spider-bit like Miles did. This gave Miles to climb walls and fire webs out of his wrist. However, Miles' just wanted to be normal, his father often lectured about mutants and rejecting them.

The next day, Miles and his friend Ganke ask about the spider-bite and Aaron confesses that he doesn't know ANYTHING about the spider. He didn't remember anything about the spider, convinced that his uncle, Aaron was telling the truth. The two back away and do more research on the spider bite. As the two study the spider bite and the traits that change Miles' they discover that he also had Spider-Strength and was enabled to do what a normal human being can't do. He was super-human.

The next day and a couple weeks, Miles snuck out and created a make-shift costume to save Spider-Man, but not in time, Spider-Man was killed. Blaming himself for the death of Spider-Man, Miles made it up that he would have to take the mantle of Spider-Man and fight crime. Discovering his powers and knowing the guideline of what a true hero is suppose to take care of, Miles creates his own costume and becomes the NEW Ultimate Spider-Man.

Career

For a brief 5 months, Miles decided to spend most of his time getting to know New York and the moral of becoming the Ultimate Spider-Man. After discovering what Peter had to go through, Miles had a tough life in New York city after his father died from a car-crash that he couldn't stop. Only with his mother, Miles soon revealed his identity to his mother, revealing that he was the new Ultimate Spider-Man. Soon enough, Miles had discovered more secrets of New York.
Meanwhile Miles still had time to learn as the new Ultimate Spider-Man, he wonders and tries to hunch on the fact that he got his powers. For a short time, Miles had a science project with Gwen Stacy, using this time to get to know Peter much better, he discovers what he is suppose to do as the Ultimate Spider-Man.

After lecturing with Gwen Stacy, Miles' tunes into the news channel and discovers that his uncle, (The Prowler) is about to kill his mother. Alerted and ready, Miles suits up and takes down his uncle.

After 5 months of his brief career, The Ultimate Spider-Man attempts to take a new threat, a thug.

Cletus Kasday meets Miles in a cell and tells the boy that his uncle, Aaron Davis worked with him once, Miles believes that the thug is lying, the thug pulls out a remote, and a portal shows up, grabbing Miles.
New Universe, New Hero Buisness

After discovering he was in a different timeline, Miles' plays low and realizes another Spider-Man is in the universe, slowly slipping into his suit when Spider-Man wasn't at the scene, Miles noticed that the Peter Parker that was in the universe, didn't know that he knew his identity.
Discovering about the portal that swooped him up into a different timeline, Miles' Morales soon stopped different villains and learned about a time-chain. After proving he was worthy enough of being the new Ultimate Spider-Man, the Ultimate Spider-Man went back to business trying to create something that would tune him back into his current timeline, failing to do so, Miles Morales was trapped in a different universe.
After a while, Miles took on the name 'Kid-Spider' and fought with Spider-Woman on a tough debate over if he was really Kid-Spider. Spider-Woman & Kid-Spider became enemies and never encountered after the fight, but Miles does remember that he got knocked out pretty bad and he couldn't use his powers for a while.

Going by a different name; "The Red-Spider." Miles Morales discovered more of his skills and soon built advanced web shooters to take on Spider-Woman again, this time she was covered in the symbiotic substance and this made it hard for Miles to take her out. Until Miles discovered that he needed to make the bell ring for her to snap out of the symbiote.

While swinging in an alley, Miles almost went plummeting into the ground, this gave him the idea of making multiple web shooters and also a secret base of operations. After learning how to control his anger and control his issues, Miles turned 14 by the time he created another Spider-Man costume.

Miles learned that he would always cause chaos if he was trying to create peace around New York city, either way, he always learned as the Amazing Ultimate Spider-Man.

Now.

Miles is known as a vigilante and he went by the name, The Masked Spider and soon met Felicia Hardy, who pulled off crimes. Miles also pulled this off with her, only to show her to the cops. Recently, he has found even more villians around the city and unpopularity known for his appearance at a bank robbery.

Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?):

Healing Factor

Because he is immortal, it might also mean that he can regenerate fast from any injuries.

Energy Burst

A random technique that will only occur when under extreme stress.

Spider-Camoflauge

Miles, including his clothing can hide in crowds with his suit, and in physical appearance, he can also use this to sneak up on enemies or flee away.

Super-human Strength

Mile holds a lot of strength, he can pack up a 100% punch that might kill a normal human being, but he decides to use little-less power. Under extreme stress, his punches are stronger than usual, even if he is not trying to punch as hard as he can.

Spider-Sense

When danger is present, Miles will get a 'tingle' in his head and quickly react according to his senses.
Superhuman Reflexes

The Ultimate Spider-Man's reflexes are enhanced and 10 times greater than a normal human beings reflexes. Allowing him to react fast and doge bullets as fast as he can, Miles can avoid attacks and is fast with agility.

Weaknesses

The only biggest weakness is in situations when it comes to something like morals, which gives Miles' a hard decision of picking what to do in tough occasions.

The only thing that Miles mainly rely on is his spider-strength which allows him to do enhanced abilities that a normal human being can't do, but if he uses to much of his ability, this may cause him to collapse or pass out, or maybe run out of spider-strength.

If Miles is swinging to much on his web, he may go plummeting into the street, if he doesn't save his webbing.

Heights.
Heights will most likely frighten Miles when he is in tough occasions, or when fighting a villain in air and swinging. He has fear of being in the air too long and falling to his death.

Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character.

I want to take this character to the center of the universe as a Kid-Spider most likely? Well, yeah. His name is Kid-Spider. Wait, just kidding, it's not. I want to make him important, he is important, but I want him to be a sidekick of the Amazing Spider-Man.

If I can, I probably want to make this Spider-Man more of a dramatic type that always blames himself over things that he didn't do, sorta like Peter Parker.

Well, I also want to make this character a bit more 'bravery' type. Re-imagining him in a different way, but I want him to be in a different universe because.. I know I could of done this universe, but I want him to make a different kinda impact. So I had Dr. Octopus throw him into a different dimension.
Sample Post (This is used as an introduction to your writing – try to keep it to around three paragraphs or more and try to include dialogue):

There. It was finally time to inaugurate the new Spider-Man to the public, Miles thought as he finished sketching his own image of his suit. It wasn't bad at all, it just needed a bit of red into it. But that would be copying Peter, Miles thought hopelessly as he sighed deeply. Why was he always so lonely? It was driving him crazy, before he was dragged into a different dimension by Otto Octavis, Miles could remember his mother screaming. But it's not going to take THAT long for him to get back to his universe, he just needed to seek knowledge. But, what if he ends up staying? Chaos was always going on at his hometown, he was sure if he came back he would be dead in a second. Miles emitted a long deep sigh, with such emotion, Miles took off his rucker T baseball hat, setting it down gently on his bed. No matter how hard he tried, chaos would always just strike harder. Miles felt like he could relate to what he was going through to Peter, he didn't feel normal anymore, he was stuck in a different timeline. It was like being stuck in a box. Miles turned around to glare at his computer, beginning to think as if he was crazy. He wasn't just lucky for being Spider-Man.
It was meant for him to be Spider-Man.
Miles darted toward his laptop, reaching quickly to turn on his laptop. While he was waiting for his laptop to load, he didn't know why he was on another universe. But for whatever reason wasn't just lucky. It wasn't meant to happen.

Miles felt zonked, his stomach making a small groan. First he was bitten by a spider, now he's in a different timeline, how could it get worse? Miles set his laptop, gently on his lap, holding his laptop in his clutches, standing up. He backed up to sit on the bed, finally, the computer had finally turned on. Miles began to type in his username, but before he could even touch a key on the keyboard---, his spider-sense warned him. Danger was present. Miles quickly began to set his laptop away and quickly hid under his bed as the door was being pushed open.

Miles was under his bed by the time the door was pushed open. Miles hesitated, shivering, what if it was Dr. Octopus? What if it was someone who was searching to kill him or have him captured? Quickly, Miles was alerted. As the man shut the door silently, the man solidly approached Miles computer. It looked like the man wasn't playing around, Miles thought, as he rolled out under the bed. Quickly, Miles motioned himself in a fighting posture. As the stranger slowly turned around, Miles realized he was holding a gun in his hand.
In a few seconds, Miles thought that he wouldn't be breathing anymore. Frightened, Miles backed away from the man, hitting onto a desk that was right behind him. The gun was already aimed in the direct sight, as the man was about to pull the trigger on the gun, Miles had already been occupied with something that helped him out of the case scenario. Frightened almost to death, the man panicked and sprinted out of Miles base.
Miles emitted a long deep breath, how did the man enter his base first of all? What did the man see to even run away? Miles wondered to himself, walking to the door to peer out of the room. The man was still racing down the hallway.

"Pathetic."
Miles shut the door and began to put on his costume to roam the streets as the Ultimate Spider-Man.

"I love my life!" Miles yelled out in joy.

Spider-Woman doesn't currently exist in this timeline.
McTavish stayed at the back of the pack for a couple of reasons. First, there was some hostility going on with him in the group right now. His disagreement with them was largely due to their discipline and lack of military practice. He had insisted that he take control of the group rather than some civilian however his new commanding officer shot that down. The rest of the way he had felt their stares on the back of his head. It would have been so easy to- Though that would have been against orders. So he had stayed with the group and did as he had been ordered. All the way into Oking. Once there he decided that the best course was to patrol the immediate area, his mission objective did say that he was to recon the area. While technically speaking Duela had been put in charge of the mission the Mayor did not explicity place her in charge of him and so he was not disobeying orders.

He would have smelt the ghoul first had they not been traveling with one, he never liked the smell. He would have heard him next if Duela hadn't suddenly decided to take out several targets. There was a definite call to go back to check that everything was in hands but with three shots and no more obviously their side had been victorious. With their own number being more than three any confrontation that they were loosing would create substantially more noise. While this ghoul, likely not feral as his stance was all wrong, watched the rest of the group and then took a tumble McTavish took the quietest sprint he could towards the ghoul, reaching to his back with his right arm he grabbed the handle of his supersledge. Current weapon of choice till he lost it, broke it or it was stolen from him.

As a warning shot he struck the sledge down beside the Ghoul, as he grunted "Ngeaghhh!" Scare tactic, announce yourself to your enemy (Honourable thing to do). Determine threat level, then act accordingly. If individual poses significant threat, eliminate. "YOU!" His voice was deep, grating and pretty much like that of most other super mutants... just with a slight accent. "You stupid! Trying to sneak up on people? What is it you want?!"
OFC this won't be for a little bit yet. Got a report too finish anddddddd Future Imperfect to FINALLY get around too.
With @Dedonus permission I have decided on the small time Hero I wanna do. I also wanna do an Origin story etc.

Basically guys, I don't have the time for all my chars to be involved in some big wondrous plot that affects the entire world (Or Nova and the Galaxy).

Whereas I have time to run a little small guy in the background.
@Gowi@DBlade26 I moved mine and [@Rtrons] timestamps closer, probably as close as I could get them without it seeming unrealistic, if you do want to interupt you may need to tweak your own.

@Rtron I posted what we have so far as we're going to be interupted.

Nazca blinked her eyes innocently at Koren, a smirk on her face as she used him to remain upright. “Thank you so much for letting me get away with stealing Koren! What would I have done without your approval! Would you like me to keep attempting to remember pathways along the ship? What about making sure that the others are okay and Shiri and Xid don’t do anything stupid?” She shrugged at the mention of a new Master. She had literally just met Koren. Getting a new master if she survived this wouldn’t be a very large change for her. Hoping they would reach a stop soon, she hid her exhaustion and general pain behind a blank look when he called himself a Jedi Watchmen. “Oh! So you’re basically the Jedi police. Anyone ever stationed at Nar Shadda?”

She smiled back at him. “Yes, on this ship always positive.” She gave a slight snort at the comment about combat. “‘Not feeling well’ is an understatement. I feel like I just got beat up by a bunch of Gamorreans and then started bonding with an unusually violent Zabrak male.” Despite herself she chuckled at his burst comment. “If only they would. Getting out of this place would be so much easier.”

Minor alarm showed on her face as he grabbed his belt, edging slightly backwards. She relaxed when he pulled out a pin. “I’ll have you know, Koren, that I had my hand for years. It was a difficult sacrifice but I made it.” She continued eyeing the pin in minor confusion as he explained what she wanted him to do. “If you say so...inner workings and all that.”

Nazca closed her eyes and attempted to stretch out with the Force. She felt odd and more than a little stupid, straining to reach out with something she couldn’t even see. She pictured how the Force worked and how she used it. It was a great machine in her mind, something that needed fuel to operate and pick the pin up. What could I use… She reached into her emotions searching for something to use. There. Her ever present hatred of the Hutts and all like them was waiting, and even eager she suspected, to be used. She had claimed to get past it, but all she had really done was shove deeper down. You didn’t just completely get rid of something that you’ve clung to all your life, after all.

So, Nazca used her hatred. She grabbed it and placed it into the machine, fueling her Force. A burning fire ignited and she felt power coursing through her.Unbeknownst to her, her hatred was easily felt throughout the small room and perhaps beyond, as the pin shook and then levitated into the air. Not very high, perhaps an inch, and she lost control and direction after a few moments, but she did it. As the pin fell back to the floor she opened her eyes and grinned at Koren. “I did it!”

“I really, really. Don’t want to know any of your…” He waved his hand in a circle movement on front of him trying to come up with the right word. “Personal habits or preferences.” He threw a wink to show that he was only teasing her. Nazca gave a rude, playful, gesture in response. He then sat and watched as she focused on the pin and frowned as he felt the darkness well up within her. As she searched for something deep down within herself and then brought it to the surface. Using those emotions to move the pin into the air, shakingly but into the air. He had hoped for slight movement, would have marvelled at lifting it into the air. Though not like this, this was risky.

Perhaps she wasn’t as ready as he hoped she had been. He couldn’t just take it back, he couldn’t just scold her… He needed to teach her. This was so different from when he had learned, from the occasional time he had helped teach others in combat techniques. In those situations he was dealing with a Jedi. Instead before him sat someone who had virtually no training in a situation that was truly dangerous for all of the Jedi and she had potential. The problem was that this potential was raw, and shaped by experiences far too brutal for him to even want to understand. Let alone let her draw from.

To do so was risky under regular conditions here.... it could prove fatal. “Well, yes and no. I have to ask, what did the pin do to you to be the poor subject off such hate? You likely won’t feel it now but once you release the feeling you built up you will feel the cold grip of the Dark Side.” He struggled to put it into words, weighing each one carefully. “I know you didn’t have the most typical upbringing, our lives themselves contrast between how we were raised and how we found home in the Order. So I shall try teaching a different way than I was taught.”

He signalled to the turbolift that he had come through when returning to the Arena. “I had free roam of this ship when I was left in the Arena. I could have gone anywhere, or do anything. I could have taken the easy path to do what I wanted. Though that would have brought pain, and suffering to all of you. Possibly even death, whereas the longer more difficult path ensures your survival. This is the difference between the Dark Side and the Light. The Light side of the Force allows you to shape it, and use it as a tool and a very unique way of life. The Dark Side seduces, and corrupts. Until you want to twist it even more for your own purposes, become a husk of who you were once and then you become it’s tool.” He sighed. He had a feeling he was going to lose her in this train of thought.

“I was watchman for Manaan.” He thought back the feelings on this one, and would just have to hope whoever watched the security tapes would skip over that sentence and the ones to follow it. “The world I was assigned to protect was attacked for not joining the Sith. For trying to avoid this war. Ahto city had been my home for years, many of the Selkath were my friends. While the Jedi Code forbids attachment, you are allowed to find companionship in order to help you be compassionate. For as long as you understand on how to let go the Dark Side can not take hold of you.” he worked through his next set of words carefully.

“I have been in pain, ever since that day. I cannot sleep, sometimes I cannot even live a waking moment if something remembers me of not the life I lost. Of my failure, the people I promised to protect dead or in eternal agony. I managed to save a handful out of so many, hate and fear I will admit clouded my mind for a time but I overcame them.” He smiled a sad, weary smile at her. “For think of it this way. If you become afraid, or become hateful. All those who hurt or tortured you have won. However. Everytime you smile, laugh, play or even just draw breath is the greatest insult you can ever offer them. It proves you are strong, and that you are right. I know, we have only just met. Though I believe Nazca that you have that strength within you, and you certainly have the ability to insult someone.” He stood up, speaking about his experiences had not been easy.

“I hope my trust and faith in you has not been misplaced Padawan.” He turned and paced a little facing back. Drawing a deep breath as he did so, it had put him on edge. Even the slight conversation of Manaan but like Nazca he needed to learn to control this, before the Sith did. “I am willing… I am willing to teach but I want to try and ensure that me teaching you does not cause more harm than good.” He turned around and then back again. “You are an innocent caught in one tragedy after another and… I just… I don’t want to see anyone else caught in this petty rivalry between Jedi and Sith… and I don’t want to see your innocence and purity lost. As no matter what you have been through you still have it.” He let out a sigh.

“I’m sorry Nazca, I should probably have shut up a while ago.”

Nazca looked at Koren in confusion. The hatred wasn’t directed at the pin itself, it was merely a means to an end. It was power and strength, pure and simple. She listened quietly as he began to explain what she did wrong. She gave a slight snort at his comment about typical upbringings, raising an eyebrow at him. She didn’t interrupt however, letting him go on and explain what he wanted her to do. She was unfazed by his revelation of being on a planet destroyed by the Sith. Everyone had something they lost when people like the Hutts and Sith started throwing their weight around.

She actually laughed as he spoke about her innocence and purity. “No, no it’s fine that you spoke that long. However, you obviously can’t see very well if you think that I have innocence and purity left.” She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts. “I get what you’re saying. Using emotions, the Dark Side, is like taking strength enhancing drugs. It offers power and strength, but in the end merely makes you a slave to it if you can’t control it.” Nazca gestured to emphasize her next words.

“But I can. I’ve been dealing with and controlling my emotions for years now. I watched my parents die in front of me, killed by the Hutts. I controlled my anger, my hatred, until I could put it to good use. Control is something I’m better at that you might think.” She raised her hands in a placating gesture. “But if you insist, I won’t use negative emotions as fuel again. They’re attributed with the Dark Side and evil. It is how we use the Force that differs us from the Sith right? So what does it matter if I use positive emotions? Joy, love, protective instincts. As long as I’m using them to defend my friends and don’t use them for evil, I should be okay, right?”

Koren shrugged. “It will be a start, technically as Jedi we aren’t to use any emotion though quite a few of us do at some points or other. Some more than they should, though let us not get bogged down in internal politics. The difference is, hate is a powerful emotion.” He raised up his hands in order to show his feigned surrender. “I will freely admit that. As is anger, the important thing is as I said… using these emotions do not always let you have a clear mind. Which is how the Dark Side of the Force corrupts.” He shrugged. “I’ll admit I’m maybe not the best person to explain all of this but you have little other choice. If you chose to use emotion, just remember. The Sith want us to use these dark emotions, don’t let them win.”

He then signalled back down to the pin. Move the pin again, remember the only fuel you need is your willpower. Will the pin to move, and the Force will move it for you. You need to try and add more power into an infinite power source.”

Nazca smirked at Koren. “Yeah. Good luck with making me anything remotely resembling Tolun Fi. My emotions, as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, are an intricate part of me. Still, I shall avoid negative and dark magics if.” Her smirk turned into a scowl. “Especially if the Sith support it.” Reluctantly, she closed her eyes again and reached for willpower to power her ‘machine’ rather than emotions. For what seemed like the longest time it didn’t work. She pushed and strained against the machine, trying to get it too work. Move. Move. Move!

The pin shook and then slid across the floor a small amount. “There!” She smiled at Koren. “It’s not as powerful as before, but it’s progress!

“Yeah Tolun Fi is what one would call too closed off. It’s a delicate balance and to be entirely honest, I’m not sure if I have the balance right myself. Emotions shouldn’t be ignored or disregarded, but they should be controlled instead of letting them control you. Which is why using emotions such as Anger with the Force can have dire consequences… the power is like a drug. I think you can agree that drugs aren’t the best substances given what little I know of your upbringing and those that take them aren’t usually the nicest of people.” He smiled as she then focused on the pin. Willing it to move, rather than forcing it too. Eventually it did.

As she said it wasn’t as powerful as it previously had been but it had moved. He smiled at her, a genuine smile almost caring. “That is all the power you need, your power and resilience. You’ve already interacted with the Force in a bigger way than most people ever will in their life times. For that, you should feel pride… on the condition that you don’t let that become arrogance.” He shrugged. “It’s a fine line I know, but it’s a line. I won’t recite the code I’m sure you’ve heard it enough at the temple, especially learning among younglings. Had you been at an enclave you might have managed to avoid being in a class with people less than half your age, again I’m kind of guessing your age but you get the point.” He levitated the pin back to it’s former location. “Anyquestions before we continue?”
Name/Nicknames: McTavish

Age:
(Unknown, presumably Pre-War)

Race: Super-Mutant

Personality: He's stubborn to the core, whether he is more or less stubborn from being a Super-mutant or a Scotsman is debatable. The important thing is that if he is presented a challenge, or sets his mind on something there are very few things that will make him back down. With his size, a fight to get to something very rarely bothers him. Another important trait can be traced back to the FEV virus. His quickness to anger, while everyone loses their temper McTavish has to work especially hard in order to keep it under control. When provoked, especially by other people and most of all by strangers here is often no other outcome than violence.

That said, the rest of the time he tries his best to be caring and considerate. While he has spent most of his life in a community that has housed both his kind and humans for generations, and has understanding. He's intelligent enough to know that due to the fact Super-mutants have plagued the rest of the country people won't exactly be trusting. Deep down he cares, about making a difference. About helping his caln, he'll do that whatever way he can.

Skills/Attributes:

Strength: Exposure to the FEV Virus while making himself mentally weaker has made him physically stronger than any human.

Longevity: The same virus prolongs his life, and speeds up the healing process.

Living on the Land: Raised (As far as he knows) rurally, and in a hardened area. He can survive of the land by himself for as long as possible.

Melee: The Isle of Gigha having few real firearms growing up, McTavish is proficient in using anything pointy, sharp or just heavy to incapacitate or kill someone. Won't hesitate to do it either.

Long Range: He has training with long range weapons. Not that he has any. After the FEV process most conventional fire-arms were no longer an option. However he has had some experience with specially crafted bows. Not that he carries one or is an expert.

Back-story: Scotland was always used for it's remote locations for military training since before the First World War, it provided unique locations and unique people in order to give people the best training possible in order to go to war. As the Commonwealth fell and Britian prepared itself for the possibility of nuclear war several projects were kick started. One of the ones that took place largely in Scotland was the use of the FEV virus. Isles off the west coast had their populations removed, taken up North to the safe zones in the highlands. Areas up in the mountains where people predicted that they would be safe from any potential Nuclear fallout.

The real reason however for abandoning these Isles was so that they could be inhabited by soldiers. While they weren't the largest training grounds ever they were moved here for a very specific reason, to be infected with the FEV Virus. An American Invention, or presumed to be one, given to Soldiers to increase their Strength, Endurance and generally their effectiveness as soldiers. There were fifty soldiers chosen, each named after a Scottish clan as an alias and then injected with the virus. However before the experiment could be completed, and the humans could be evacuated from the island - in the case of any ill side effects the scientists would monitor using equipment and relay instructions via robot. The bombs fell.

McTavish was woken up in a survival tank a week later, he couldn't remember anything except the pain of the transformation. Held in place by binders on each of his limbs he was shown over and over again training and propoganda videos. The scientists having decided just to run the training protocols rather than terminating the project. While the war was lost, as far as they knew it had been lost all over the world, they felt that should they be attacked it would be useful to have super soldiers on their side. If they could be trained.

The first Mutant released broke one of the Mr.Handys given to the project in a fit of rage, so the videos for the rest of the mutants changed to guide obedience. The videos were altered slightly to reflect the scientists as superior officers, the scientists even going as far as wearing military uniforms. The lead wearing a Generals uniform. Eventually it worked, the super-mutants released into the population. Training always continued, as did testing. Ardminish became a safe haven for everyone willing to risk the swim or boat ride to the isles.

Times changed since the great war, and the town grew and changed. The General was always in charge however. Mutants were privates and never recieved ranks, though few of them died. Yet they never questioned orders, they were perfect soldiers. While they could have tempers with those who managed to gt to the island when provoked they would never raise their voice or a finger at their superior officers. The programming was flawless, especially with regular visits to either a robot or the old training facility which would refresh the training. They didn't really realize it, but they were essentially glorified slaves.

When a supposedly "Wealthy" businessman from what turned out to be the ruins of Glasgow came calling, times appeared to be changing. He said he represented a group of settlements called the "Commonwealth". Apparently made up of the arenas used in the Commonwealth games that had once been held in Glasgow shortly before the war. He proposed a deal, he would allow them the protection and economic stability of the Commonwealth in the exchange for one of the Isles men as a personal bodyguard. He'd also be quite interested to see if these training methods could be used to make the untamed and untrained super-mutants in the wastes into a useful and contributing part of society.

The deal was made, McTavish was the one chosen. It wasn't really clear why he was chosen, when they were all lined up he just happened to be the one chosen out of the line out. This was when the Isles future was decided, as he sailed off to his new life he'd never know the life that this man from the Commonwealth created by just happening to venture to a little island off the coast looking for spoils of war. He spent a couple of years as the bodyguard for the rich businessman, before his commanding officer changed in combat in a scouting operation in the south west of Scotland in the Galloway Forest. A mid-fight exchange caused his former commander to hand him over to someone who had dubbed themselves "King Douglas".

Being a member of the Royal Army McTavish felt like he should respect the sovereignty... were it legit. He despised being under the control of the fake king. However he was his commanding Officer. A good soldier followed orders, he was a good soldier. One of the best, it is why he was chosen. He never heard what happened back on the Isle that he once called home as over the years he continued to head further and further south changing from one commanders hands to another. He occasionally heard rumors of mutants disappearing or appearing in coherent groups and he felt that confirmed that his home was alright. Yet there was no real way to go, people didn't care for super-mutants enough to make any real news of it.

Reaching the town of Silvershaw as part of a caravan of trailers he was particularly interested in Shrieker Town as he had never heard of another largish settlement of mutants by themselves. He always felt that if he was finally given his own command he could be the one to maybe bring sense to them. He kind of got his wish when the Mayor of Silvershaw was promoted to be his commanding officer. Little does he know it but the Mayor actually gained him while gambling. Though McTavish doesn't really know many of the exact terms when he changed hands.

Other:
Yes he is essentially a glorified slave, though he sees himself as a Soldier. If you want to try correcting him, go ahead :)
I was tentative about accepting a super mutant, but I'm eager to see what you do with him. McTavish is accepted.

Magic. Now all I need to do is paint him blue with a white cross and I can be a Scottish Super-hero...

I feel like I should point out, while I initially said highlands that would be if I was human :P A small Isle to the west of Glasgow obviously isn't the highlands.

Fun fact, I actually chose that name at random.

I toyed with choosing my own home clan just so I could use the tartan, but chose against it.
