@bluetommy2 remember that you're ability is manipulation of your bone structure not all out shapeshifting. I'd also like it if you can't change the shape of your skull (As that wouldn't be the best thing for your brain to go through). So long as you were in the military you would know how to use firearms, even in the engineering corps you would still be required to keep up to date on how to use a weapon. Perhaps a little more detail on the group that breaks him out and the mission that traumatizes him?
Also on that note you wouldn't "Retire from active service" to join the Engineering Corps. You'd request a transfer and the additional training that goes with it.

@Sagittarius I don't mind people having the same ability as everyone else. Also there are always the various elemental abilities, or someone with a physical enhancement.
@ayzrules That ability is fine, I'd even be willing for you to subtly change how people are feeling (If you want to go into scientific terms it'd probably relate to pheromones).
