: Dry wit, sarcasm and cynicism make up most of his sometimes cryptic dialogue, whether he’s helping or warning someone. He doesn’t seem the friendliest fellow out there, but he offers help to wanderers and travelers, but no more than warnings or clues. He has seen much and done much, based on the way he acts. As far as his own ideals go, he does what he thinks is right, as he says, that self belief is the only reason he hasn’t turned to crime to get by.
Biography: Callahan was once a knight of Hyrule, from a young age he had helped at a blacksmith to earn money for study, at the time he wanted to be a Hylian Knight, the protectors of Hyrule Kingdom. Eventually he studied and trained enough to qualify as a page, and was on the road to being a Knight. He had made friends along the way and distinguished himself as both a peerless warrior wielding magic under the school of Farore. He was set to be considered to become one of the Templar, specifically in the Leaf.
After a set of events where he caught wind of a smuggling ring, connected to a Holy See member, he had screwed up, and was caught. He was framed for the crimes, and sentenced to prison, and then execution, but his sense of justice would not allow his life to end like this, and so he escaped. Being suited for the Leaf Templars meant it was easy for him to act as an assassin, hunting down the Holy See member and murdering them.
That was the last anyone had seen of him, but for about a week after that, the smuggling ring waned and then soon disappeared completely, any reports the Hylian Guards ever got was someone in a “silver mask” was seen, but always disappeared before anyone could catch them.
After this, his life brought him through many places, as he tried to find his own place in this world, he traveled through Eldin, then Lanayru, where he took to training with the monks for a short while. Here he found out he was no longer listed as a fugitive and in fact some in Hyrule’s higher command wanted him to return, but he himself didn’t want to. He stayed for a short while, learning how to wield a Sheikah Katana as it interested him, before leaving again.
Over the course of the years he eventually arrived in Gerudo, staying in the other regions for a short while, but here in Gerudo he found a place among the Ashen Sands. It was also here he would learn his signature Moonlight Swordsmanship under a fugitive witch, whose family of magic was passed down through her family. She was old and wished for someone to learn it’s arts before she passed, which is why he agreed to learning unorthodox magic in the first place.
After she passed a few years later, he said goodbye to a family among these outlaws who made their living and got supplies by raiding caravans, and was off wandering again.
After two years of wandering Hyrule, being an enigmatic force that slew camps of monsters and hunted down enemies of the Hylian crown, they believed this “Moonlight Knight” was an assassin working for the crown. Maybe in another life he could truly have been such, but now he was simply known as the Moonlight Swordsman, the most distinguishing feature being the silver mask.

Feats -
[Hylian Trait] Ears of the Gods - They say a Hylian’s pointed ears mean they can hear the gods better. That has nothing to do with the trait though, Hylians are more attuned with magic and and are more skill-based warriors. They get one extra spell or technique.
[Talent] School of the Moon Phase - Mortal Draw costs nothing, and all Moonlight magic can be casted using Stamina instead, though at full cost.
[Trait] Sheathed Sprint - While the katana is sheathed, move faster and have access to short backsteps and sidesteps while maintaining a draw-stance, allowing quick movement around the battlefield.
[Technique] Mortal Parry [5] - Draw blade and strike the opponent's own attack, immediately followed by a Mortal Draw at 200% damage instead of the regular 150%. This requires the attack to be perfectly predicted.
[Technique] Mortal Draw [10/0] - From a relaxed stance or any stance, draw the blade and strike the target in a single motion for critical damage (150%).
[Technique] Sheath [0] - Immediately sheath the blade after any attack.
[Spell] Moonlight Crescent [5] - When swinging his sword he can send out a blade of moonlight at his foes, he can do this during a Mortal Draw as well. The attack only does the same damage as his currently equipped sword, and can be used consecutively. It cannot be buffed. The projectile is also decently fast.
[Spell] Moonlight Tempering [5] - Causes the next Mortal Draw to deal 1 extra damage in Moonlight magic, it can be charged a whole post for 3 extra damage at the cost of 10 more magic (15).
