Performing first aid on self with Kaito's help, returning a dummy to Zone 2

@ERode

A wave of elation washed over Mari as she delivered her first dummy into the bus. Despite the pain of her injury, Mari felt like she would be able to continue with the exam. But before she let herself get carried away with this sense of accomplishment and new hope, she turned to the proctor with the large forehead. "S-Sensei! This dummy that I am carrying...this one belongs to Haruto-san, the boy who plays music. I...I don't have an dummies of my own yet, ma'am." Mari shook a little, fighting against her pragmatic side. But it was thanks to his boost that she was able to kick the car away, and thanks to his medical help that she was even able to come back to the bus at all. She wanted to be a hero, but points be damned, this was the right thing to do. Before the proctor responded though, Mari heard some strange noises. Turning her head towards the back of the bus, she saw a dummy morph into a human. Her eyes wide with shock, Mari merely stood there as the large man approached, shushing her. "S-sensei..." Mari greeted, assuming that this too was one of Jigokuraku's instructors.
@Stern Algorithm Tempting, very tempting but Anu likes to do things outside the law.

How 'anti-mortal' would the assembly need to be for Anu to consider joining?
Can't wait for Anu to find out about Dirka's shenanigans. A human husband? A Demi-God son? Oh boooooooy!

Join the assembly, and we can decrease the frequency/likelihood of such god-on-mortal lewdness

Some say mankind's greatest fear is the unknown, others say it is death. In that moment of clarity, Mari knew that was bull. There is something more visceral, that men would leap into the unknown to avoid, that men would choose death if only to be released from it. Man's greatest fear, of course, was pain. Mari must have screamed, she realized, noticing, once the blinding flash had receded, that she was on the ground.

But the first thought that crossed her mind was whether to give up. All the confidence, all the 'talk' melted away. She had never saved a person in her life; she had barely saved herself. She didn't know a thing about hero work, and the fact that hero work was painful work was only just made known to her. Besides, she had run away to avoid pain, and here she was throwing herself back into it. At least her father had never cut her. Shakily, she pulled the harmonica out from under her shirt and grasped it tightly to ground herself, wondering why she had never torn it from her neck and flung it, screaming at the top of her lungs, into the nearest river bank, abandoning her past completely.

As she came back into herself, she realized Kaito was beside her. How could this skinny-jeaned punk rocker hope to compete in an arena where monsters like All Might and All for One could level cities on a whim. Perhaps it was stupidity, like herself, thinking she could do something, thinking she could make a difference. As Kaito's words finally started making sense to Mari, she merely nodded at his suggestions, letting out a wheezy, "...I expected the metal to bend, not shatter."

Wincing, Mari untied her shoe and took off her sock, inspecting the damage. There was blood, and there were cuts, but she didn't seem to be 'bleeding out', as it were. It seemed the shoe had soaked most of the damage. Mari slowly slipped her sock back on, and accepted Kaito's offer of a cloth wrapping, and his shoe. "I'd also like to wrap my foot up a bit too, to cushion it, if you have spare material," Mari asked. She did as much as she could to facilitate the first aid Kaito gave her.

Once her foot and leg had been sufficiently wrapped up, she slipped on Kaito's shoe, and slowly stood up, using Kaito's shoulder. She gingerly tapped the sole of her foot on the ground, feeling the dull throb of pain, muted by the wrappings. She stamped her foot a few times, increasing the force, just to get used to the different levels of pain and learning how much she could tolerate, though she wondered if her adrenaline was somehow numbing her.

"I-I think I'll be okay," Mari said with little confidence, "I'll ferry this dummy back first, and if I can't take any more...I'll forfeit and stay with the bus. But if I get used to it, I'll come back, and be a bit smarter about kicking cars."

Lifting the dummy across her shoulders, Mari headed back in the direction of the bus. But before she took off, she turned back to Kaito and said, "...thanks..."

During the trip back to the bus, Mari kept a note of her injury, while pushing her running speed, in order to gauge what speed she could comfortably run at without exacerbating her foot.

Welcome to the RP! Please subscribe to the thread so you can always find this thread again through your subscriptions page.

Please use this OOC section to ask any questions. Please submit characters in this, the OOC section, to be approved by me. Your character posts do not need to be complete, as you can always throw up a work-in-progress, and go back and edit later. The character sheet is pretty fluid, so feel free to include or exclude any sections. You can look at @Tricheus' character as an example if you need to. There is no rush, so take your time to ask questions about the world so that you can flesh out a character that you will be comfortable playing for the indeterminate extent of this RP.

Just thinking about what to post but when Amber called out "Y-yes! I'm down here!" Does she mean that she is in some deep hole or down a level of the ruined building?

If I remember correctly, the entrance leads to stairs that descend, since she's already inside, she is calling to those who have just entered, who would technically be above her.

On that note, @Karkinos, is Tourmaline referring to Amber when she says 'do you require authorization, little one?'

Gammaton

@Rune_Alchemist @Duoya

The door to the dining hall creaked open as wisps of cobweb fluttered through, released from their musty confinement. In the time that Gammaton had spent in their, wracking his brain on the laws commissioned by Iva, the room had been utterly transformed into a nest only an insectoid vermin would find comfort in. Snug as a bug in a rug. Gammaton emerged, having heard his name called, only to see Iva'Krorh leave through a portal. But his goal remained right in front of him. Gammaton marveled at the natural beauty that Hayim had brought to the cold north, how very much like Hayim to meddle, with no regard for the limits of his own power, to create such natural beauty in so unnatural a location. So too did Gammaton judge Hayim's incessant bringing of gifts to the sentient mortals. These mortals who revere you but do not fear you will be your undoing one day, brother.

"Lord Brother Hayim, it is so good to see you. It has been too long," Gammaton greeted, "I suppose The Honorable Iva'Krorh has mentioned to you that I have need of you. This is true, but the fact of the matter is, Our Honorable Sibling has made it known to me that they are loathe to allow me to hold my assembly in this realm, and besides, I doubt everyone has been gathered. That being the case, my purpose here today is simply to convince you to attend The General Assembly of the Gods, and to present you with a summons."

Gammaton produced a parchment, pre-written, and presented it to Hayim. It read as such:

This summons has power to be used twice, for the specific purposes of 1) informing and 2) summoning Lord Hayim, God of the domain of Health. The summons will be used to inform Lord Hayim of the date of the First General Assembly of the Gods when such a date has been decided, and the summoning will teleport Lord Hayim to the Administrative Hive, where the First General Assembly of the Gods will be held. Once signed, the summons is binding and absolute unless a proper excuse can be given for why the Assembly date should be deferred. Should the Assembly date be deferred, the summons once again becomes binding and absolute. Once signed, the summons cannot be dropped traded or stolen, and is bound to the attendee in question, Lord Hayim.

"You simply need to sign here," Gammaton presented the parchment and a spine tipped with his black blood to Hayim. "Now, you may be wondering what such an assembly is for, other than to see all our sibling friends in one place. Unfortunately, I have come to a conclusion that is oh so very sad. It would be sad to see one of our siblings go away forever, wouldn't it? I know you are sad even when a mortal goes away to Lord Brother Azhriel's domain, never to be seen again, but there are thousands of them, and only a dozen or so of us. Yet us gods are not supposed to die, are we? Well, that is what my sad conclusion is. I fear that we, all of us, any of us, are capable of ceasing to exist. I realize this may be shocking and unbelievable, but I will lay out all my evidence at the General Assembly. Suffice it to say, all us gods, we have to work together so that none of us ever goes away forever, do you understand? It doesn't matter if Ragnagedon hates Sveiand, or Hyperion hates Oao, what I aim to confront is something that threatens all of us. And there will much work to be done, be sacrifices that must be made, and restrictions that must be imposed, for the good of us all. Do you understand, Lord Brother Hayim?"
@Inkarnate I see. What is FC?
