The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

"If I state everything there is to know, then there exist no more mysteries." Said the beast to Junko, before her tangential ways bloomed again and off she went into conversation.

Remaining quiet, only proving to nod from time to time where appropriate, the sabertoothed giant attempted to follow the flight path that led beyond the ledge he had brought their pair too. He came to a halt only when it was clear their lofty, parachute-bound soldier became stuck in one of the many trees. It was now the big cat turned about to look over its shoulder, awaiting the rest of the company to come. It then followed with a turn and proved to watch their efforts; if need be it knew it could facilitate their way across, but that was only best in a case where it needed to be done.
"Fair you might not know their names," The low roll of the huntsman's voice came forth, revealing the captive was not as alone as she might have thought herself with the halfling after the others left, "But where did your band come from and where are they going?"

It was then he took a few methodically advancing steps forward, each rustling his chain links ever so slightly. Brannor was distrustful of everything the woman said, in that his belief was that she thought it all to be true, perhaps even if it were not. Thus far summoning this hellish dragon-mother was a far stretch, one reasonably beyond the cult's true grasp; they were raiding petty farming villages and towns for the few scraps of wealth the people had. None of this was likely to sate an average dragon, at least as the hunter knew for their greed was said to be unspeakable in its vastness, let alone their proposed queen. So the more she spoke, the more foolish she sounded, and it came high time in his mind that he would bring her back to the reality of tonight and the time leading up.

Looming before the soaked to the marrow figure, arms crossed over the chest, it became clear that the warrior was not going to prove patient for much longer with her; he had other plans in mind. If she would not cooperate further or denounce her actions and abandon her ways, there were not many paths left for her to follow that did not end in execution. So for her sake, he hoped she would answer the question - that her willingness to cooperate with Parum was not lost.

The great raven's booming and echoing caws rang throughout the dense woodland, disappearing into its forests of wonder just as the beast did itself. In fact, it dared not hesitate or wait and vanished into the great boughs somewhere unknown at hasty speed. All that was left now of this scuffle, aside from a few tremendous feathers, were the two unusual orbs. How one fit a raven the size of a warhorse into one was a bit of a perplexing thought, but the reality was that such a thing had happened and the only other source of evidence had lofted itself up and away.

The vast fields beyond them, not of this branch of the wood, seemed to sway in the slight mountainous breeze that proved pervasive throughout; life itself seemed indifferent to all of this, as though such conflict was to be expected. Granted that was true of nature, but monstrous birds were not! These animals seemed a bit malevolent, at least as much as any other crow, but evil? Probably not, at least those who had touched the orbs new. Regardless, this instance was as much a mystery as anything else here.

What now was to be done?

The contact the girl's hand to the beast's side was brief.

So brief at that, that she had already found herself there. For the outside observers a faint ethereal mist swirled to life from one place and existed the same in another, the latter being across the ravine and the former being where they stood. So far and so fast did the pair travel, in between that moment of realization by others that something had even happened, that they had arrived. What naturally followed was the fading of the spectral atmosphere thereafter, chill mists returned to their place in the world beyond.

The ancient being simply walked away at that point without another word to Junko, seeing itself over to Jane and still unaffected despite its dense fur and enormous size in the heat of this jungle.
Arthera laughed and she not only laughed, spitting to her side as the drifter made his demands she move out of the way, she laughed directly at him.

"You are a coward..." She remarked as her eyes narrowed and her vision stabilized after the attacks, a deathly chill gathered around her figure during this, pulling the air into a dry, invisible cold, "... and you are weak."

A hunting blade slipped from the belt beneath her open robe and into her hand, meeting her palm with its weathered grip. Her tall figure then drew up her hands into a fighting stance and shrugged off the injury with unearthly ease; icy essence infusing her, she turned the weapon around and reversed the grip with eager readiness. Throughout this process, the blade frosted over along its edge and length, much the same way her breath was chilled to the point of visibility and her slight stains of blood instantly ceased to run. She not only looked better than the blow she endured, but she too felt it and not just because of her elemental call of ice - rather it was Talionis' felling blow and his vengeful onset upon this last attacker.

Not only was he alive, he had his revenge and against one of her enemies, mercilessly at that. Their enemies in all actuality, but she did not bother to correct the thought now. Instead she invested the mind to ensure these men were dead when they were finished here. All of them.

"Of course... only until he returns." She let the implication sink in, between the way she held the sinister blade to the fact she seemed utterly unscathed now and as ready as she could be to weather his attacks.

"Ceria, cut the wither down." The primal's mind flashed like a bolt of mental lightning, her voice ringing in the elf's head rather than her ears. There was no time to explain or elaborate. She had to move and act like and with the new instinct she was possessed of.

Question 22: Can I make a character part of a faction, even if that faction doesn't have five players yet? If I do, do I get the integral abilities or powers of that group in Expanding Horizons?
Answer: The first answer is yes, you can make a character who is part of a faction that does not have five players before you even make or submit that group and before it has those needed players. If you do so, and that faction later gains enough players, you must still have it reviewed by Staff and approved. The second answer is no. You only get your group's unique abilities and territories once you write that faction up, have five active Roleplayer Guild members, and have it approved by two Staff.

Players need understand that you can have as many groups as you want in a game, but all of them are unofficial unless they have a write-up using the template, a group of five individual players each with one character at minimum, and two approvals by the Staff. If your group is an unofficial faction, note that it is considered small in terms of significance until it gains sufficient power. Official groups are a status of respect and power, something the United Federation of Planets has to recognize, for better or worse. Unofficial factions are generally too small and lacking as of yet in major galactic influence.
