White Wolf Returns: A Homecoming for World of Darkness
For over three decades, White Wolf has stood at the bleeding edge of supernatural and horror storytelling. From Vampire: The Masquerade to Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Mage: The Ascension, our games helped shape generations of roleplayers, writers, and dreamers who sought meaning in the shadows.
Today, we are proud to announce that World of Darkness will once again be guided under the name that birthed it: White Wolf.
This isnβt just a name change. Itβs a return to our rootsβand a commitment to the future. A future where mature horror stories are told with care. Where community and collaboration are central. Where fans, creators, and licensees can find clarity, support, and inspiration under a banner they trust.
Simultaneously, we are announcing today that White Wolf will now be a publisher, as well as a licensor, of World of Darkness games. This means that we will continue to work with our network of licensing partners who bring you all the great video games, tabletop roleplaying games, card games, and more -- but we will also develop some new games internally, and publish them.
The first game that we will publish as White Wolf is Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 as co-publisher with Paradox Interactive. We will announce additional games from White Wolf as the publisher later this year.
As White Wolf, we will: β’ Reinforce our legacy as pioneers of narrative-driven horror and emotional roleplay across all our products. β’ Provide clear leadership across all World of Darkness media and products. β’ Support creators with improved tools, transparency, and canon guidance. β’ Maintain rigorous standards for inclusivity, sensitivity, and collaboration in storytelling.
The night belongs to us all. Welcome home, Vamily.
To OOC, take a look over the first post you'll find the rules and CS and a brief recent history - bringing us up to today.
Any questions? Feel free to post them here or PM me, also take a look over the 2nd post. This is the unit's current intelligence over GOIs (Groups of interest) It'll grow as we advance the RP and through player actions.
P R O F I L E Juan isn't one to play around he's dead serious and when it comes to the job nothing else could mean the world to him. Taking down bad guys, well it's part of what he does and he does it damn fucking well those who disagree are usually left in hand cuffs or are out of the unit. Juan ain't a big guy he's a little mini Bucko, but that dosen't mean he can't pack a punch. Not it just means they are asking for it, looking back he could see the visions everyone was thinking he'd be nobody. Now he was a hot shot team leader, he trys to keep his ego in check but sometimes that fails. As a leader he likes to lead directly, sometimes he micro manages all aspects of the squad but he's a loving and endearing leader when he's trying to be.
C H R O N I C L E Scum vato from Mexico.
He use to run in a gang it wasen't the type of life he wanted but it was the life he lived, being a young kid in Mexico he made all the wrong choices and some more but that didn't stop him from getting what he wanted from life. Women, money and power but it all came crashing down on the young Mexican, The authorities well they didn't like the fact he was trying to sell coke on the streets. They locked him up until he turned snitched of course, working for the authorities he turned against his own crew - a rat, a snitch that's what he would be remembered as in Mexico.
Though years later as a young adult, he would get out and move to a land of opportunity - The U.S.A. though he never made it to the famed L.A. or NYC he ended up in Ramsey. The place was a shit hole, and without much opportunity he ended up taking work as a security job for a while before quitting years later and joining the RPD. Why would he join as a cop? It was unclear to some but he'd learned to appreciate the other side of the law, he joined up and hit patrol for a while and throughout his years he moved up to RPD Swat where eventually he'd take over the unit.
M E M O R I E S PC: TBA
E Q U I P M E N T & R O L EM4A1 - Red dot - Flashlight mounted - 5 x 30 rnd mags.
Glock 22 - 3 x 15 rnd mags. - Flashlight mounted.
Various other mission-specific gear. Roles: Team Leader
- The story may be slow paced at times, keep that in mind. - No anime pics, sorry I know everyone loves anime pics but N O - No WIP sheets are to be posted. - If you can't post regularly let the GM/Co-gms know, you can feel free to catch up with a "Flashback" but if you're going to be gone for a long time or unknown time we'll move your character to an inactive state and bring them back when plausible (IC & OOC) - This RP is mature and will have some dark subjects, be advised of this before committing to playing if you're uncomfortable with these kinds of themes or vibes. - Create a meaningful character, I and other Co-gms will be critical in our CS review don't take it personal. Making a Mary Sue with stacked skills or is generally over powered will be frowned upon. - Have fun, follow guilds rules, ask questions if you're unsure of anything or are curious. - By posting a character you agree that your character may be killed off, no we're not going to kill people off with falling rocks or something stupid like that. However, it should be noted your actions will cause repercussions and you should be ready to accept responsibility for that and you could be killed by a player character as well - though rare seeing the cooperative nature of the roleplay. As the GM and Co-GMs of this RP we won't be bailing anyone out. - Chars must be 18 or older.
N A M E S U R N A M E β AGE β MALE/FEMALE β HEIGHT βΊ
P R O F I L E Personal description, how your character acts and reacts, their general behaviour and attitude aswell as any notable reputations.
C H R O N I C L E Nobody cop to somebody SWAT.
M E M O R I E S Basically character relations to PC and NPCs, you dont need to go deep on this.
E Q U I P M E N T & R O L EDetail your equipment, be realistic I dont want to see pack mules carrying around 10 guns.
Roles: [Command] Team Leader (1 spot - will be the PC leader for the RP, equipment is pretty standard) Assistant Team Leader (1 spot, with the interest shown this may be used. Though if the team is small it'll be scrapped, will help the TL run the day-to-day and also they may run their own fireteam depending on situations
[General] Assault (Run of the mill swat, typically geared M4, a few flash bangs and what not. All-round archetype) Medic (More mobile has less armor/gear, medically more proficent than other members of the team. Rearguard support type). Breacher (Carries demolitions, built for CQC, bulky and usually bad ass to boot, entry or room clearing archetype) Pointman (Lightly armoured and geared, great for chasing down suspects or recon. Fast mover archetype) Designated Marksmen (Marksmen type of the unit, usually trained for more long range engagements.)
Deaddrop, a Wannabe. If getting to that ship and surviving to return, hopefully with some neat loot, doesn't win some major favor with the Sunburners, then nothing will.
