Slowly -- but surely -- coming back from a long hiatus.
Better known by the name of Tsu. An "advanced" roleplayer with at least five years of experience on/off. In real life, he is a college student studying in Asia, majoring in design-related fields. Outside of this site, he's also a hopeless poet and an indie writer currently working on his first book (as and when he has the time and inspirations to write something). He is also active in the Harry Potter fandom through participating in fanfic competitions/challenges and building connections with gift fics.
INTP; a Pottermore-certified Slytherin but identifies himself as a Slytherclaw who is both witty and ambitious. Considers himself a Denpa Otaku -- a fan of animanga, visual novels and JRPGs, and he's as opinionated about what he likes and dislikes as every other fan out there.

How about Quebec? From what I read the climate has long winters/nighttime and short summers/daytime. The two largest language groups in this province are French and followed by English, so you can throw in some French goodies if you want. The capital is Quebec City; the most populated is Montreal. Maybe we can set at the Laurentian Mountains? It's one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world (you know what this means heh).
As for vampirism, are we going with traditional/dracula-inspired characteristics, or with Meyer's sparkly kind? Or a combination of both with some original touches?

This idea reminds me of the first Kingdom Hearts game and the manga Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. I've always liked the idea of time/dimension traveling but with dark twisting plot and even genre/lore deconstruction. Definitely interested if this is for 1x1/small group that's not sandbox and emphasis is on character development and world building than OPness.

He shrugged at Troy when he was asked about the power he - or rather, his father - applied for. Seemed like that bit of info wasn't in his native tongue like the rest in his form. Hemokinesis, or blood manipulation: an ability that only drew blood of his own and not the others, a double-edged sword with a fine line between sanity and death.
Hearing how the other two chatted about joining this godforsaken lab away from the world they were originally from made the Asian teen mulling over the idea to desire for powers, for augmentations beyond the natural scope of human bioprint. The eager willingness to exchange their insignificant life for an ability through this shady place, with no guarantee that they would get what they wanted so badly to be here for.
Bo signed up for Necromancy, to be able to raise the dead; Troy, to gain control over shadows. If anyone heard their little conversation in the most inappropriate place possible, Rei felt amused thinking about how they seemed like a trio of the dark---

Anyway I'll be reading up a bit on the geography of Canada, and also find a suitable location to set the stage (obviously not going for Toronto, are we?).
For MC's coven I'm going with a mix of Chinese and Japanese descent. Their basic vampiric features will be no different from YC's coven (I'm thinking of going with universally shared characteristics regardless of region they are from), but might play around with the idea of dabbing into some dark magic, just a little bit.
Also, are we still going with a possible half-vamp idea? Or maybe let the IC develop first then we'll see about this?

Nope like most of the rest (that Rei and Troy have yet to interact with) who enter the research building by registering at the intercom, I think it's safe to assume that Rei has yet to receive his power from that oddball scientist dude who can walk upside down.
